What a great little pub!!! Driving back to NE and stopped off the highway for a bite. Found Porters on the corner and loved the food! The scallop bruschetta was delicious, sandwiches were flavorful and good portions. Wonderful fluffy couscous. Great friendly service. Just wish I wasn't driving so I could partake in a brew or two. Wish I had a porters near me.

I was excited to go here based on the reviews, but I don't really think it was worth the hype. As far as local spots go I prefer Two Rivers but anyway... We went around 6:30pm, the bar was all full but we were able to get a tiny table in the corner. Service was pretty slow and I noticed it's a very chatty bar- the waiters stopping frequently to visit the regulars but everyone else was delayed. Don't get me wrong, they were all friendly it's just got a laid back slow paced Cali vibe. We got a few appetizers - the wings were okay but if you don't eat them immediate the sauce gets thick and weird. The nachos were alright, the drunken clams were really good. We got sandwiches under the pub fare section - the corned beef and chicken Tuscano and they were both pretty good. My boyfriend loves the Mug club and extensive beer menu. The bartenders and servers were all really knowledgable about their beers and knew the list by heart. I don't really know what to say except if you're looking for a laid back night where you don't want to get dressed up, want pub food and a bar filled of local regulars this is your spot. There are no TVs which is fine but surprises people. I'm sure we will be back, just not my favorite place.

After coming to this place for almost 2 years I'm still constantly amazed at the quality of food this place puts out. Their specials are always unique and mindbogglingly delicious. The customer service is great and everyone who works here seems to love Porters just as much as the patrons who swear their allegiance to it. More importantly, they know their stuff when it comes to the extensive beer list... They always help me find the perfect beer. I love this place and I'll be coming here for the rest of my life... No doubt about it.

Outstanding. Had beer and appetizers and left with 4 bottles of my favorite beer (that is SO hard to find). The lobster Mac n cheese is perfection. Perfectly cooked pasta, just enough sauce, and a wonderful flavor. Only thing that would make it better is more lobster. But everything else was beyond what I expected when I walked in. I hope to visit there again soon!

Great pub experience. Had to sit outside due to crowding. Not great seats due to heavy traffic, but that didn't take away from the service and the food. Beer is cold! Food is good. Got the lamb. Perfectly prepared. Nice surprise on our quick visit to Easton, PA.

My recent visit was definitely not a 4 star experience. The service was acceptable, but I was seriously disappointed in the food. I ordered the corned beef sandwich minus the bun with a side salad. In such a great pub setting, I expected much better quality. The corned beef was like lunch meat. The sauerkraut was merely a garnish rather than a part of the meal. The salad had greens that were not fresh. Wilted and slimy leaves are not appetizing. It had two cherry tomatoes, one of which was bad. My soda was flat. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because my husband said his burger was decent, although it was over the medium that was ordered. The description says they have a huge beer selection. I never saw a bottle list, just a draft list on the wall. Asked if they had a shandy or radler and was told they had a couple wheat beers. I think I read they have a selection of 75? If so, a bottle list should be accessible.

Food is top notch and the inferno wings are the wings that I judge all others by. As others said beer selection is outstanding. Owners really care and they always have some great lunch specials. Most pubs throw frozen food into a fryer. Not here! They don't even have a fryer. Everything is cooked fresh.

Wow looks are extremely deceiving! We went here based on the yelp reviews but I almost didn't get out of the car. So glad I did bc not only was the food outrageously delicious but the service was exceptionally professional and hospitable. Both of which I didn't not expect from a pub next to the hood. I'm a restaurant professional and know never to judge by the looks of a place bc they ugliest ones R usually the best. Not that this place is ugly it's actually very charming but rolling up at 9pm in a neighborhood your not familiar with, it can seem pretty sketch. Had the crab cakes and rib eye sandwich.. Bangin!

Sam, our waitress was friendly and responsive. Large selection of beers. I had the scallop salad, which had goat cheese and walnuts with blackberry vinegarette. Delish. My husband's chili was excellent. With a green flash IPa, mmmmm. Thanks yelp for this off the highway pick!

Rockstar evening with my love. Tiny little place but nice vibe. We walked in on a Saturday and with luck, they found a spot but I would make reservations for the weekend. Waitress was amazeballs. Couldn't decide between two dishes so the cook mashed them together pairing the root veggie risotto with the crabcakes. The risotto was like butter and it was so yummy that the turnips and parsnips didn't matter. (I'm picky so that statement means a lot). Crabcakes on point with huge lumps of meat. Little noisy but who cares

I just love it here!!! Service is great. Samantha was fantastic. Beer selection is PLENTY. Food is delicious! We ordered the cheese plate, grilled Garlic Parmesan wings, and lobster mac and cheese. Everything was tasty but The Mac and cheese was out of this world! Best I ever had. Tiramisu for dessert was fluffy and house made. What a gem. Will definitely be back to try more of that menu!

My favorite place on earth, and totally worth the hour drive from central Jersey. Why, you ask? The atmosphere is something else. Its not filled with obnoxious frat boys like my local New Brunswick bars are. Live jazz on Thursday nights is lovely (they had a pianist there a few times who could beatbox and make saxophone noises all at the same time...), and the Open Irish Jam is a ton of fun. They also always have new art on their stone walls, if you're into that kind of thing. As far as food and drinks go, their nachos are a must- the chili is delicious. The Mediterranean plate is simple and filling, and I've yet to have a sandwich I didn't like. Their Sunday brunch goes from 11-3, and their Monte Cristo makes an excellent lunch. Not sure where to start with drinks- they always have a fabulous selection on tap and in bottles. If you plan on going back every so often, join the mug club- its free and its a great way to try beers you'd normally pass on. The bartenders are friendly and always have great drink recommendations if you're overwhelmed. This place is a diamond in the rough.

My husband and I live about half an hour away, but this is our favorite "local" bar. It's really everything you want for that kind of place: fairly small, the servers and bartenders get to know you after a while, good menu, amazing beer selection, and fun holiday parties (Halloween, etc.). I love that there are vegetarian options on the menu, love working my way through the Mug Club list, and love that I've been able to bring in a cake for my husband's birthday (they kept it cold in there kitchen's fridge and served it to our party - because they are awesome). The small outdoor patio is nice during the summer, and they always have great music. Really great place!

Was asked to go with friends that are trying to earn their mug. Inside really great and with mugs hanging. Upon arrival placed order for drink.....and waited.....and waited. The place was empty. They had already had their drinks so I was the orphan. After asking twice it was delivered with a tap on the shoulder and blamed someone else. The burger was just ok. Closed out the check and one of the ladies wanted one more glass of wine. I asked how much and he said $6.00 so I pulled a $10. Bill out and layer on the table, please remember I had already tipped nicely for dinner for three. He took the $10 and vanished. A $4.00 tip for a glass of wine, really? For inside appearance a five star. For our waiter and service a zero star. Thus the two star!

At first we weren't sure if you sat down where ever you wish or wait to be seated... after 30 seconds someone showed us to a table for two. The appetizers were great and the entrees as well. However, the sides for the entrees could have been better, or at least warmer especially for the price. Beer is different than the usual run of the mill and they let you taste draft specials before diving deep into a pint. All the downtown feel with some alternative and classic rock accent on the side. Really though the food is delicious. Coming back again for sure. P.s. I wish there was ice cream for dessert

Love this place!!! Great atmosphere, good food, fair prices, and large selection of beers. Waitresses very knowledgeable on the beers and very friendly. Make sure you join their mug club. Definitely will be going back!

Dining Date December 27, 2014 for dinner. The food seems to have gotten better since the last time I ate here. The Blackeye sandwich was great. My daughter ordered a bacon cheeseburger and enjoyed it very much. We tried the grilled wings with smokey chipotle sauce, and they far exceeded my expectations. Of course the beer list is exceptional, and the service is always good. Dining area is very loud.

It depends what you order. We dined here on a Friday night. It is a very busy place on theater nights. We did not have a reservation, but the nice hostess seated us as long as we were gone by 7:00. I suggest you make reservation. Highlight: the jambalaya and the drunken clams. They were delicious. The low lights were the wings (VERY fatty and lots of skin) the dressing for the salad and wings(blue cheese from a bottle, Yuck). quaint setting, very cool pub atmosphere and jazz music most nights. Follow the waiters lead on what to order an you will be satisfied.

Once again Porters was amazing!!! Drunken Clams are the best, Nachos are awesome and their Octoberfest menu is fantastic. But most of all the bartenders are great!

Cozy, cool place to grab a beer with friends or come for a tasty lunch or dinner. Ordered the jumbo lump jalepeno crab dip to start which was plenty (for 2) and the Odd Oddsen sammy which were both scrumptious. Beer selection is large and service was really friendly. Would definitely return.

Decent menu and a great beer list make this place a must visit if you're in the Easton area. If you can't find a beer you like, that's your fault. This is the last stop I needed to finish the "BEERmuda Triangle," having already visited Two Rivers Brewing and Black & Blue.

I go here for lunch every once in a while. This last time, I had a spinach salad and the Patio Portabella sandwich. My friend had lobster mac n cheese and the veggie burger. It was delicious. The place was fairly empty as it was early afternoon on a weekday, but there were a couple groups of ladies having brunch and drinks. The waitress was friendly and professional and the atmosphere was what I would expect from a neighborhood pub. I love the stone walls and tin cups on the ceiling. It always reminds of walking into a pub in Scotland.

  • Jill S.

Beer selection and bartenders are def a 4 star. The ambiance was old and dingy. The carpets needed to be redone. The two sandwiches that we ordered were way under quality and poorly portioned. Pasta salad had no flavor. They were out of every beer I tried to order which is not typical but frustrating. Cheddar habanero ale soup was great but it was the only thing I would compliment. Let's just say it wasn't enough for me to go back. New tables, fresh paint, wood floors, and a better cook for at least lunch would be a must. This place could be so much more. It seemed to be once.

We love Porter's! Such great food and quirky, artsy vibe. Nice for a casual, comfortable night out with the hipper crowds of all ages. Recommend the hummus and all of the brunch menu (entrees come with free mimosa or bloody mary)!

This is my favorite pub/restaurant in the world! Starting with the food... Everything is good. Sometimes I wish they offered fries... Maybe sweet potato fries would be a nice twist, but it kind of makes it unique that they don't. I usually go with the pasta salad over the chips though. Best chili I've ever had. Start with that as an appetizer. But check out the specials cause sometimes they have good ones. Love the Bachman and Tuscany chicken for my meal. Now to the beers. Awesome selection. Usually a bunch on tap and overall something like 50+ other ones available too. Make sure u start a list and when u finish they give you a personal mug. Great music Friday and Saturday nights. The place is real small but has a great vibe. It just has that nice pub vibe. All the staff is usually very knowledgable too.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and vent, because I have never received the response I got here last Friday. I get it, it's Friday night in Easton and this is the place to be, but for God's sake how do three people walk by twice each in a 5 minute span (no exaggeration) and not even acknowledge you? Then when you finally get someone's attention, their response to my question of a table for two is, "can you be done in an hour?" What?! WTF kind of question is that? So you mean to tell me you will let me eat at a table reserved but I only have an hour to eat then I have to go?? What is this, a Russian gulag? I was pretty pist about that response, and we went to eat at 2 Rivers Brewing, which by the way was excellent. Very disappointed by one of my favorite spots to get a good bite and great beer.

High quality pub food at a reasonable price. And the environment was very comfortable for a solo work traveler. I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup which had a nice zip to it and was satisfying yet light. I also had the Fiesta Salad which had fresh and quality produce.

Porter's Pub is really great. The area of Easton, PA it is located in is questionable, but it is well lit. I'm not sure I would go there after midnight. It is, as the name suggests, a bar. They have a really good restaurant attached where the food is excellent. Easton has some pretty good restaurants and I would put this among the best. Around our table we had quite a mix of dinners, my son and I both had shellfish dinners, my dad had lamp chops and my mom had a portobello sandwich. My dinner consisted of Shrimp, Scallops and Clams with kalamata olives, capers, carrots, onions and a few other things. It was wonderful. My son had the same mixture but it also had Lobster and was in a buerre blanc over linguini. I heard good things about both the lamb and the mushroom sandwich. They are also well known for their craft beers. We tested a few and all were good. We sampled porters and IPAs primarily. If you visit Easton, this is a must go to on your restaurant/bar list.

We've been here twice and both experiences were good. Servers are attentive, great beer list, good food. The place is small, though, so expect a wait.

As Easton continues to build up its restaurant and bar selection Porter's continues to be my go to. Beer list is as good as it gets. I'm on my 5th mug list and it never gets old. The daily specials are always good and interesting. The menu has several staples that are great. Spinach artichoke dip, grilled wings, jambalaya, french dip, steak sandwich. Don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. The Sunday brunch is always awesome too. Can't say enough good things. Nothing beats having lunch here during a weekday at the bar.

I live over the border in NJ and it's worth the toll. Great craft beer and equally great food. The bartenders are great. Very attentive and walked me and my girlfriend thru our dining experience. I think their names were "Steve and Steve" . My go to spot for great craft beer and good food and I am In the business. Must remark on the music. Chris Cummings was amazing. Kept us not wanting to leave. Would have been 5 star but my gf wanted onion soup. Lol. We did like you too Jessie.

Missed the mark, all around. We had reservations and arrived a few minutes early. Instead of seating us at an open table, the host had us wait for the (occupied) table he had designated for us. One slight problem....those people currently at the table had just ordered more drinks, and the host had given away the other open tables. So by the time we got seated it was 20 minutes after our reservation time and all we got was a half-hearted apology. Our server was friendly but service was incredibly slow. Not to mention hair on plates and a beer gleefully picked up by the waitress and poured into a warm glass 15 minutes after it was set on the table. One of the four people in our party enjoyed their meal, but the rest of us weren't impressed. So if you like loud, small, crowded places with overpriced, mediocre food and slow service...this place is for you!

Returning home from a morning on the trails at Blue Mountain Ski Resort we stopped into this establishment for a late lunch. My good friend's son who was with us went to school in this town. Great appetizers and an extensive list of beers both draft and bottles! We started with an amazing artichoke bread bowl with our first beer. Did I mention you can sign up to have a mug displayed if you manage to go through their entire list of beers? After ordering a bowl of chili I then selected a sandwich: The Odd Oddsen -oven roasted turkey, provolone cheese, Russian dressing with coleslaw on ciabatta bread. It was delicious.

I made it a point to stop back in here after the owner of this pub responded to my previous review that was made almost exactly a year ago. My perception was still similar after visiting on a Friday night to my last review. The business attracts an "early 20s" crowd, especially on the weekends when I visited. They had a very good band, and it attracted a moderate crowd, but makes it very hard navigate or find seating. They have outside seating if weather permits, but no upstairs area to relieve crowding indoors. They do boast one of the best beer selections you'll find in the area, including a "mug club" that awards you a free pewter mug to keep at the bar (hung from the ceiling) or bring home after drinking all 60 of their brews. It is also free to enroll in the program. I'd be interested in stopping back at a less busy time to sample their menu, but my original assessment remains the same for this visit, "If you're looking for a hip late night hangout with live music and large appeal, this is an excellent venue." However, it's not a great place to relax and have a few drinks when I visited, but my assessment might be different if visiting during a less busy time.

I had the special "Blackened Chicken Alfredo" tonight. There was nothing blackened about it - this was chicken and alfredo sauce with noodles bathed in cajun seasoning and sauteed. Even a short-order cook in an Applebees or TGI Fridays would know the difference between "the whole dish soaked in cajun seasoning" and "blackened chicken". Just so the kitchen folks at Porter's might try to either prepare this or name this correctly in the future - here are a few suggestions: 1) Blackened Chicken Alfredo would be chicken seasoned with cajun spices and then blackened over a cast iron surface, and then sliced and placed on a bed of good ole' fettuccine Alfredo. 2) What you prepared tonight can best be described as "Cajun Chicken Alfredo", and should never be served again.

Came in for lunch with my wife. The experience was just ok. We got the lobster mac & cheese as an app. I thought it was dry and there was a slight fishy taste to the lobster. The entrées were the steak sandwich for me and a crab cake sandwich for my wife. The steak sandwich was very good and the house made steak sauce was delicious, don't think A1 this is a light and tasty sauce. My only problem with the entrée was the fact that I asked for chips and got pasta salad, which wasn't very flavorful at all. We got free coffee for checking in to yelp but it was ice cold! The creme brulee for dessert was good. Oh I almost forgot, the music playing is disturbing and weird. All in all not terrible but I'm not making immediate plans to return. Honestly you will have a better experience at Two Rivers which is only a block away.

Excellent food, huge beer selection. The service is too notch and friendly. It's up a great hill in Easton in a rundown area but it just gives the place that much more character. Also, if you drink all of their beers you get your own mug. They have prob 100+ beers but when you come back you can put your name in their comp and printout your beer list. They had a sign out front that they were open for breakfast and were doing an English breakfast the next day. This place does a trip once a year to somewhere in Europe. I've never been on one of the trips but they seem exciting and not too expensive. I think last year they went to Belgium.

Love this place! The beer selection is wonderful and the food is great. I would recommend (and have) to any of my friends. Burgers are comparable to a deck of cards. It truly is a hidden gem in Easton and is worth the trip.

Been going here for years. My favorite bar in the Lehigh valley by far. Great service. Lots of beers (working on my second mug!). Delicious food. Nice clean fun pub atmosphere. Would recommend making a reservation on weekend evenings. Not a big pub (which adds to the great feel of the place) so if you really want a seat, call ahead! Discovered several great musical acts here as well. All around, a great place to grab a drink and dinner.

Love coming here although I don't get to come too often. I hear from others that all the food is great. I've only been able to try some sort of chicken sandwich which was wonderful and their chili which was also good. But everyone I know says all their food is really good. The bartenders are so helpful with finding just the right beer for your taste due to their lengthy beer menu.

I attended Lafayette College, minutes from this place, and never really came here when I was a student. I missed out.. I visited a friend in the area recently, and saw why many love Porters' so much! My Peach Lambic was great, and my Apple Turkey Cheddar sandwich with macaroni salad was the ultimate comfort food. The Peanut Butter and Chocolate Pie was also really good! The ambiance of the place is pretty cool as well, with stone walls to add to its rustic charm.

Great bar with a fantastic beer list and menu, however the clientele they allow in to this place gets way too drunk too quick. On this night these regulars chose to try to pick a fight. If visiting Easton this is not the place to go. There are other places that have a better menu, service and clientele.

I haven't eaten here but as far as bars go this is top notch! Especially for the Lehigh Valley, If you are into beers they have a ton of micro brews and even a mug club. You have to drink all 60 beers on their list and then you get a mug to drink out of when you are there. Also, they have live bands and don't charge a cover so that's pretty awesome! The only downside is the parking. There never seems to be any close spots so be prepared to walk/stumble to your car.

    (5)
  • MandA R.

We liked this place! Many beers on tap and if you drink all 60 you get an engraved mug. I wished we lived closer because that sounds like an awesome challenge! The ceiling was covered in hanging mugs which looked pretty neat. The chicken quesadillas were really good and the service was quick and friendly. We recommend checking this place out!

Just want to say since my previous review that I spent a year working in NYC and sampling their bars. Now I've been living in LA for 8 months. Porter's still tops any bar I've ever been to. Shine on, you kickass pub, you.

Porter's Pub is a neat bar serving the best quality "bar" food in the Lehigh Valley. Porter's is in the ground floor of an older building on Northampton Street in Easton. It is located several blocks from the recent revitalization that has taken over the center square region of Easton. Porter's is a bar and it feels rustic and inviting. Rarely will you go inside when there is not a decent crowd either at the bar, tables, or both. People often start going to Porter's for their extensive beer list. Porter's was a trendsetting bar in the Lehigh Valley with respect to opening up to the microbrew scene. As a result, it is still one of the more adept locations in the Lehigh Valley to taste some exotic brews. Despite this quality reputation, many people now come to Porter's due to the inventive menu that they have to accompany this wide selection of regional and national microbrews. During my many visits to Porter's I have always had a quality meal. Most recently, we started with a cheese board. The appetizer featured three cheeses, an array of fruits, meats, and crackers. The cheese selections were complementary to the overall expected quality of the plate. The cheeses were fresh and spanned an interesting flavor profile. Following the appetizer we enjoyed our entrees, burger and shrimp salad. The salad was robust featuring a nice varied blend of lettuce and balance between the additional accompaniments. The shrimp were shockingly large and featured a nice grilled finish. The burger was hand packed and topped with bacon and cheese. The burger was flavorful and there was good balance between the size of the bun and the size of the patty. This burger did not need anything beyond what it was presented with and there was solid flavor. For me, Porter's is a bar that is a slight level above most of the rest of the similar establishments in the Lehigh Valley. Porter's is a place where people who love beer and food can find solace. Porter's does both drinks and dining the way they should be done.

We went here yesterday for dinner. We figured it was nice out, local, and quick. The beer and cider was good! The wings were very good too. We got the habanero pineapple grilled wings! Very spicy, but delicious! For dinner I ordered the filet mignon. It came with spinach sauteed with garlic. It was excellent! The filet mignon was a little overcooked for me. I ordered medium, but should have said rare. The salad wasn't much at all. It was two grape tomatoes, two cucumber slices, and some lettuce. It was barely a mouthful. I could have done without it. My bf ordered the veal porterhouse. It was a bit fatty, but did come with couscous sauteed with mushrooms and onions. All in all it was a decent experience. I'm not too sure we would head back for more than drinks.

My family, and I love it here. We go to brunch pretty frequently for kegs, and eggs! The one thing I must mention is Ryan the bartender, he is absolutely the best and should be running the place by now. He dresses to impress, he's friendly (even when busy), and he's darn good at what he does. He is very knowledgeable about every beer they carry, and will challenge you to try something new that is out of your comfort zone. He's turned me into quite the beer snob. The food is excellent, but the portions could be a little larger for the price. The reason I say Ryan should be running the place is because the owner is not the friendliest, he never smiles, or asks how a meal was, or even just a general HEY, HOW ARE YOU? THANKS FOR COMING IN. He always looks like he would rather be any where else but there. Call me old fashion, but if I owned a restaurant, I would make sure my customers knew my appreciation for them being there. I mean, I help pay his bills, and the customer is part if not ALL of the reason he is successful. Sorry Ryan, you're totally worth 5 stars, but the owner could be a little more friendly. A smile goes a LONG way.

99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer.. well maybe not bottles, but mugs! Went to Porters on a rainy summer night and was immediately impressed by the cozy bar. The bar and restaurant area have a great ambiance. We waited for about a half hour for a table of two, but if we sat at the bar we could have sat faster. I tried the Flying Fish Summer Ale which was great. Started with the Cajun shrimp appetizer which was good and had the bistro salad with chicken as a dinner. I know I ordered wrong with the salad (hello.. it's a pub..) but it was still pretty good the lettuce was fresh and the vegetables were good too. Would def come back again. Their menu is very extensive with a lot of options.

Excellent "local" pub in downtown Easton. By far, not the best area of the city, but the food and drinks are worth it. I'd recommend getting the cheese board for appetizers. I had the Nancy's favorite which was excellent, and have had the turkey, brie and apple melt. Good selection of draft beers and great selection of bottled.

I used to come here every once in a while with the guys at work for friday lunch. The pub has a very comfy atmosphere. They have a "mug club" similar to the Tally Ho in Bethlehem where people get a mug and have to complete a list. They serve standard pub/bar food. The food is pretty good, a step above the average bar food.

I haven't eaten there so this review is solely on the place and their beer. Great bar selection of both beer and liquor! The place is larger than it appears and has a great vibe. I loved that it was casual but still seemed nice and had such a great beer selection.

Went there for dinner on a Monday night. Ordered draught beers which were excellent and their selection is outstanding. Had the jalapeno crab dip was ok and as noted by another review, tasted like imitation crab. Not much heat (hoping for a little more) but cheese/creaminess was appreciated on the freezing night. We each ordered a burger and were really disappointed when both of ours came out way overdone (well) when we had ordered med and medium rare. Nonetheless, the rolls were outstanding and the burgers were tasty (as tasty as a well done burger can be). Did have a LOT of salt on the meat however, and spent the rest of the evening consuming large quantities of water. The pasta salad was pretty simple and not really interesting. Just pasta, carrots and dressing.. If it weren't for the amazing selection of beer and the pub environment, I probably would not want to go back. It is just hard driving past a place that has IPA's on tap.

Went there for the first time last week (Thanksgiving weekend 2008) for Sunday brunch. We brought our 7 year old daughter and her grandparents and all 5 of us loved it -it had something for all of us - which is not an easy thing to do. Had a good atmosphere (not to much of a bar for the family yet had character (the old exposed stone wall is a nice touch). Good service a great menu and a good selection of beers. Highly recommended

I started going to Porters for The Mug. Track and complete their list of beers and you get a pewter mug with a custom engraving. Pretty sweet tradeoff for trying and drinking a wide variety of delicious beers. Food is good, the live music is great (especially when it's Irish!) and the atmosphere is welcoming, too. Cool place, check it out.

Overall lunch experience was barely average. Chloe our server was pleasant. We ordered lobster mac and cheese for a starter. It was good I prefer comfort food of oozy cheesy goodness. This was shells sprinkled with bread crumbs bits of lobster and hardly any cheese. Our main courses were very good. I ordered the portobello patio sandwich and my husband ordered the cheese steak sandwich. We both enjoyed this part of the meal. Lots of flavor and freshness. We decided to utilize the free coffee offer for checking in on yelp. The coffee was good minus the fact it was cold. I felt awkward asking for a hot cup of coffee. For dessert we shared coconut creme Brule. This was supposedly a homemade specialty. This also was very mediocre. If anyone is looking for creme Brule that will knock them over go to Apolo in Bethlehem it is outdtanding. We will try this place for dinner sometime but never again for lunch.

The Apple Turkey Cheddar Melt changed my life! Went here for a quick bite later in the evening based on a friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed! Only critique is that it's a small dining room, but I feel like that's to be expected of a pub. I can't wait to go back!

This is one of my favorites. Great beer selection and the food is very good also. Small bar, if you want to sit right away on a busy night, go early of arrive late, either way you'll be happy you went.

Consistently good. I've been here several times and it's always been great. The menu is ambitious, but they manage to deliver. Be adventurous and try something new and save room for dessert! Parking can be a little iffy in the area, you may need to walk a bit. And they take reservations which I would recommend on a Friday or Saturday night.

One of mine and my boyfriends favorite beer spots. Great atmosphere, love coming here on nights with live music. The food is not what you'd expect for a pub. Delicious appetizers, salads, and sandwiches.. I love that you have a choice for pasta salad or chips! If your a fan of hot stuff ask for their hot sauce 6 pack.. Yum!! Good for lunch or dinner. Vegetarian friendly. We'll be back!!

Has become our new local favorite! Got turned on this this great place by a friend of ours and very happy we tried it. Porters is a cozy little Pub in downtown Easton, just inside PA. There is a lot to do in the area and this is a great stop if you happen to be seeing a show. Just make sure you call ahead and make a reservation as the place is very small and gets filled up fast, especially on weekends. Food is excellent (they have some great specials) I also have to say the soups I have tried there have been great. (Always served piping hot too! One of the big attractions is the beer menu which is the biggest I've seen. I am working toward getting my mug, but it will take a while (Have to sample 60 selections first and I am about 10 in). They have very good Creme Brûlée also! I will continue to come back, and maybe will stay next time for one of the musicians. Great place overall (a little pricier than some, but worth it).

This place is an Easton institution. The pub food is terrific and beer selection epic. Highly recommended. I has a really authentic pub atmosphere with the exposed stone walls and all the mugs hanging from the ceiling. One small drawback of this is that it can get pretty tight in there, probably not the best place to go if you have kids that want to run around.

Food very tiny. For the price, you should get three times as much. The food we got was just meh and Luke warm. I didn't think they made filets that small. It took twenty minutes just to tell me they didn't have the ingredients to make a drink on their own libation menu. Then another twenty to get a new drink delivered. The decor was nice but the bathrooms were the smallest I have ever seen. It would have been a disappointing evening if we didn't go to a show after.

We went here for brunch yesterday, and it was to die for. The food was good and all, but first and foremost: Free mimosas. Free. Mimosas. FREE MIMOSAS. That's all you really need to know. There was food too, I guess. I had a veggie omelet, which came with various carbohydrates. The rye toast appears to be made with crusty homemade bread, although they don't butter it for you and the butter it came with was very cold. The potatoes were perfect, small red buttons with crisp exteriors and fluffy insides. The omelet was actually pretty oversalted, but I finished the damn thing anyway, so I guess that says something. I usually get my omelets made with egg whites, because I feel that yolks weigh down an omelet, and I forgot to request that particular detail this time, but they succeeded in making a light, airy omelet anyway. The man I tote around with me got pecan pancakes, which he devoured. I tried a bite, and they were above-average: nothing mind-blowing, but I enjoyed their thickness that wasn't compromised by an undercooked center like some places. Also, did I mention you get a free mimosa?

Solid pub with a good beer selection and based on my one weekday lunch , good food.I had some kind of chicken sandwich with melted mozzarella.I also wound up having some interesting conversations.I rather like Easton and will definitely go back. This is a place with good atmosphere.I ate at the bar and service was prompt.

I went here for lunch with my two sons. I really love this place and wish there was a place even remotely like this near where I live. Lots of beer, "pubby" ambiance that can't be beat, real stone walls - a great menu...I don't know what else you could want. My sandwich came with pesto (with nuts) that I couldn't eat. The waitress didn't blink and brought me a new sandwich, and left the old one for my sons to divvy up. Very good. The chili was spicy, made with chunks of beef. A tiny bit on the sweet side but it was gobbled up no problem. My only quibble is that there were no paper towels in the ladies room, and after 2 mentions, no one made a move to refill it - :/ not sure why.

If I could rate this place a hundred stars, I would. Go to their website and read the History section. Now go to Porters. Put yourself in the middle of this dimly lit, soulful little place in this gritty, half-dilapidated neighborhood. This place has so much character, I can't explain it but it just makes me happy. I am not from Easton, and where I'm from is by no means similar to Easton, but I feel home here. In this town, in this neighborhood, and in this bar. The food is always excellent, the beer selection is wonderful, and the atmosphere always friendly, warm, and comforting. In the summer, its a cool dark escape from the sun, like drinking in a friend's basement bar. In the winter (my favorite time to go), grab a table in the back, listen to some live music, and enjoy a beer in a cozy living room-like setting. Its the only bar I can think of where I am not annoyed when its overly crowded. Probably because the type of people that patronize Porters are generally the type of people that I like to be around. I'd imagine that this is exactly the kind of place the Porter brothers envisioned it to be when they embarked on their journey in 1988, and I hope it never changes. Cheers to you guys!

Have been to Porter's Pub a couple times now. The location is slightly shady but love the bar once you enter it. I always love dark cozy places and this is exactly what it is. It has pewter beer mugs hanging from the ceiling. I guess it has to do with trying all the different beers and once you try a certain amount you get a mug. The food is better then normal pub food and I have always loved everything we've ordered. Don't be turned off by the area, def worth a chance!

Their vegan options are great, try the southwest salad, hummus plate, or pasta/pizza sans cheese. Great atmosphere and great staff. They have live music at 10 on weekends which can get loud but not unbearably so - there's also outdoor seating in the summer.

I don't live in Philly anymore but in Bethlehem now, so this isn't nearly as out of the way. I happened back in here last night with some friends following a gallery showing a couple blocks over. The place was surprisingly empty so we basically had the run of the place. Our waitress was so sweet and very attentive. The beer list is still extensive and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed. I split the Mediterranean plate off the late night menu with my boyfriend - very fresh cubes of feta, salty proscuitto, tasty roasted red pepper strips, soft pita and garlic-y hummus. It also comes with kalamata olives but EW. Enjoyed a few tasty beers from the varied menu and had a wonderful night.

We get lunch here frequently. What keeps me coming back is that each trip I try something new, and have been impressed every time. Conversely, my friend gets the same sandwich every time, and claims he will never get tired of it. This should give you an idea of how much thought is put into the flavors. Fare is complex, original and delicious. They also keep a very nice selection of beers on tap. I hear they have good live music at night, but have never been.

Sunday brunch at a pub rocks!! Along with our complimentary mimosas, we had the crab cake Benedict and huevos rancheros. ( actually a black bean quesadilla.). Both were served with yummy grilled baby red potatoes and onions. Our friends had omelets...made with egg whites upon request. Thick cut rye toast accompanied their omelets and grilled potatoes. I considered a new rating system while enjoying this meal...five out of five moans. Staff was attentive...authentic pub atmosphere...and great food... Bathroom rating...9 out of 10, for a pub. Clean as they come...yet small and hard to lock.

This is a good pub which we stopped at following the long tasting at Weyerbacher. By the time we left, there were at least another few people from the tour at the bar. We were immediately seated and provided with menus, including one describing the 50 or more beers available. The place has the feel of an older, traditional, dark bar. Beers ($4 each): Lancaster Milk Stout: very smooth, paired well with the burger Atwater Block Brewery's Vanilla Java Porter: this was not that great, particularly after the wonderful beers from Weyerbacher Food: Crab Cake Po'boy: Served on a kaiser roll and good (mayonnaise and chopped pickle fillers, no breading). The pickle was a traditional German style--with cloves. Jim liked it, not my favourite. Burger: Also served on a kaiser roll and medium rare here is more medium; very juicy and tasty. The potato salad is not creamy, with a good bite, and dressed lightly with onion and a vinagrette--possibly the best one we've ever had. Total: $25 including tax. An incredible bargain considering the ridiculous prices and poor quality we've become accustomed to. Friendly and attentive service, a wide range of ages eating or having a few pints at the bar.

Porter's is very cozy and everything you want from a warm pub experience. Great beers on tap and many bottled beers. Seasonal parties. Live music a few times a week. Heads up owner that runs a few other bars in the area. They have food, but nothing deep-fried. So it's not your usual "bar and grill" fare. The only thing that is offered for a gluten free or vegan person is chips and local salsa and a hummus vegetable plate. I happen to be both, so I don't go there much anymore since I can only get two food items (and not exactly dinner plates either) and cocktails which can be found at other bars. I would go more if there was a cider or GF beer on tap. Great place for beer lovers though!

I go here regularly. Outstanding selection of bottle and draft beer. Food prices cheap, the portions a good buy for the money, cooked expertly. Never had a bad meal here. It's a smaller bar and you're liable to be standing on a Friday or Saturday night; otherwise it's pretty quiet. Crowd is eclectic, moving toward younger on the weekend nights. Parking nearby is on street and a bitch to find during peak bar hours. Another like is that there is only one small TV in the place, and it's hardly ever turned on, which eliminates the annoying sports junkie demographic. This is a place to talk, drink beer, meet people, have a nice time.

What a great little pub!!! Driving back to NE and stopped off the highway for a bite. Found Porters on the corner and loved the food! Wish I had a porters near me.

High quality pub food at a reasonable price. And the environment was very comfortable for a solo work traveler. I had the Chicken Tortilla Soup which had a nice zip to it and was satisfying yet light. I also had the Fiesta Salad which had fresh and quality produce.

Just visiting the area and thanks to yelp we found this place. We had the prime rib sandwich ... Delicious! I wish we lived closer.. Definately would be back!!

Their vegan options are great, try the southwest salad, hummus plate, or pasta/pizza sans cheese. Great atmosphere and great staff. They have live music at 10 on weekends which can get loud but not unbearably so - there's also outdoor seating in the summer.
