This place is great. Love the cheesesteak and Palermo sub. Has a nice Italian market with lots of fresh choices. Have had them cater parties and the food is awesome, especially good vodka sauce, which you can buy on its own. Open for breakfast now which is a plus and have a nice selection, favorite is the chicken cutlet in the morning and ask for some prosciutto added on. Fries are good too. Lots of hand made sausage and pasta salads and several Italian cheeses. My only complaint is they close too early to stop on way home from work. So weekends and breakfast only for me... Top it off with some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet.

Went for dinner the other day. Staff was super nice and helpful. I got the Chicken Cheesesteak. It was delicious and the boo agreed. The sauce was great and there was plenty of meat and cheese! Parking can be tricky and hours are a little limiting but worth it!!

Everything is fantastic, especially the sausage (all) and pork braciole. This is my favorite sausage and I have had it from many places in NYC, NJ and Philadelphia. Always consistent, has not changed a bit in the 12+ years that I have been going there.

Great deli and wonderful sandwiches. We eat here every time we come to Easton for Lafayette games. Wish we had one at home!

The Sausage Siciliano is excellent. Homemade sausage, potatoes, fried onions and peppers. All sandwiches are served on 10" rolls. The rolls are fresh. The cheesecake is another favorite. While you're there, shop for your italian staples in the market. You will not be disappointed in the service or food. The only downside is their hours. I wish they were open later.

Went today for the first time to grab lunch and the staff were all very friendly! Got a cheese steak hoagie and some fries and it was really yummy! Solid 5 stars, will be going there again :) If you're on the fence about going, go!

cheesesteak heaven. The best I've ever had!!! The price is good and the size is very filling. You won't leave hungry or unhappy.

Had their Cheese Steak for lunch yesterday. Asked for mozzarella cheese instead. It was Soooo good! Next time I'll ask for some more sauce to be added to it!

The food is excellent. Seeing that they seem to be famous for their cheese steaks I had to start there. This was my first time here and let me tell you there's something about this place. The people the atmosphere, not sure exactly what it is but it feels warm and homey. Keep up the good work.

As a frequent and very satisfied patron of Giacomo's Italian Grille I was stunned by Andy T's review. Given that everyone here, as well as offline has loved Giacomo's for over 3 decades, I am obviously not alone. Andy T., did you speak to anyone about your experience? A member of the family is almost always onsite and available. I was so taken aback by your review Andy T. that I telephone the owners. They too were shocked by your review and they would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak with you face-to-face about your experience. Would you please call Sal or Mario today? 610-438-1945 or 610-438-1947. Hands down this is the finest Italian Deli, Market and Grille in the area!

Great sausage. Delmonico cheesesteak is to die for. Now that Little Italy in Pohat closed, the only true Italian deli around.

Literally the best cheese steak ever! Found this awesome place waiting for Admissions interview. It takes a few minutes for them to make this masterful creation so make sure you have some time... and make sure you take lots of napkins so you don't ruin your interview outfit!!! Great place.

Truly the BEST Italian food in the Lehigh Valley! I've been a customer for 11 years and have never had a bad experience...either with the food or the service. Truly the best cheesesteaks, which is why they are award winning. Don't hesitate in trying Giacomo's...you will not be disappointed!

This is by far and away the highest quality Italian deli/grille/market in the Lehigh Valley! Their sandwiches are outrageous - particularly the award winning cheesesteak! The subs will knock you out. The selection of homemade sausage is outstanding, and the cheeses, salads and party trays are out of this world! Sal & Mario and team have a great thing going on - GO, EAT & ENJOY here - you won't be disappointed!

I grew up with Giacomo's only being a deli for italian goods, but now they've expanded and serve food. I went here last week with my friend who recently moved to the area. We ordered steak sandwiches and they were really good! They were huge too. The men at the counter are really friendly and the pricing is pretty decent. They serve pizza, hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches and a variety of other things. If you're looking for a decent sandwich try Giacomo's!

All I can say is, GREAT CHEESESTEAK. I live near this place, and is a place that I frequent (every 2 or 3 weeks), along with Pizza Doro, and a few other places in the area. The godfather sandwich is also great, as well as chicken fingers.

After reading reviews on yelp I had to try this place and was very impressed. Ordered a steak sandwich to go and it was very good. The Deli itself was old school Italian like I'm used to from growing up in Newark. Deff recommend.

The combination of fresh product and friendly service launches this joint into the stratosphere above any like it. The Godfather is the BEST sandwich I have ever tasted! THE BEST! Order it...trust me...its no joke. Mario is the man! So friendly when I come in. Their brascole is man among boys. The Italian market is a nice feature. The homemade sauces are always a pick up. Their olive oil prices are better than the supermarkets. Salute.

You've seen The Godfather. Good movie right? Now you need to try the sandwich. It's gooooood. The mini Italian market is also nice. The quality of freshness and what's available makes this place a hidden gem.

Decent Italian deli. I like the idea of having a "mini Mart" inside where you can buy hand made pastas and sauces. I ordered a turkey sub and it was pretty good and they actually have good bread. I'm from jersey and I had the hardest time finding a deli that had good bread... So this place is alright with me!!!

Everything I have had from Giacomo's is great, especially the chicken parm sub, cheese steak, cannoli, and home made sausage. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later!

I am so happy to have found this place! The staff is super cool, the old school vibe makes me feel like I'm a little kid again visiting the neighborhood market, and the food is amazing! So far I've had the meatballs, imported pasta, and meat sauce (prepared at home) - all were excellent. I've also tried the Delmonaco Cheesesteak, Eggplant Parm, and Tuna subs... And I can't say enough good things about them. The sub rolls are a little soft, and I usually hate this - but at Giacomo's I actually like them because while they are soft they are also slightly chewy and nicely flavored. I would get each of these subs again, but I want to try everything else on their menu! I'm also a big fan of their potato and macaroni salad... I normally don't even like mac/pot salad but theirs is delicious - I think they use dill in it.Giacomo's is a must try if you live in or are passing through the Easton area.

The food at this little Italian market is never a disappointment. From the sandwiches freshly prepared to the Italian delicacies. My personal favorite is the chicken cheesesteaks, their homemade sauce tops off the whole sandwich!

A friend took this first timer to Giacomo's for lunch on Monday. For years I have driven past and heard others talk about it only to never get a chance to get inside the place myself. WHAT WAS I THINKING? The selection of classic deli goods and menu items is amazing. We had a Godfather (Prosciutto, Fresh Mozz., Roasted Peppers, Balsamic Vinegarette) and a Cheesesteak. Both were fantastic! Personally, when I order something like this I usually am very picky about the roll. In this case the roll was fantastic! Everything inside the roll was amazing as well. Beyond prepared food, this place is a market and you can pick up other Italian goods. Great place, great selection, will be back again as soon as possible.

So great! Everything on their menu is amazing, their small grocery selection is good as well. I've had their catering at local events and it is also excellent. Highly recommended.

Completely overrated. Friends of mine raved about this place so my fiancée went their to get us lunch. What she brought home was barely considered food. We ordered two sandwiches and two sides. The "godfather" sounded good in theory but was really a pipe dream in reality. The bread tasted stale and the lunch meats were too thinly cut and were of poor quality. The cheesesteak was overly greasy and the fried onions were under cooked. Once again the bread tasted stale. The sides we ordered ( fries and rings) were disgusting. I don't know how they did it but somehow they managed to undercook and burn the onion rings. Also it was greasy enough to give a horse plaque build up. Oh and to top it all off she waited for nearly a half hour for their cooks to make this slop. I think the people who wrote positive reviews are related to the owners. Maybe the air in college hill has altered your sense of taste. Disgusting. Truly disgusting.

Hands down, the best sausage I've ever eaten. I usually hate sausage -- that gray, dry mess that people make. Bleck. So I was practicing my happy face when my partner brought this stuff home, figuring I'd act like it was good, as he had wanted to surprise me. OMG. For over a year, it's a weekly indulgence for us. We love it! AND it's GLUTEN FREE. They will also serve gluten free meals for you, if you wish to dine in. Well worth the stop -- and very reasonably priced.

I personally like the Hot Sausage, but the regular is quite awesome as well and works great in milder recipes. Fresh cheeses and sauces too. Note: call ahead if you are going to be pushing up against closing time so they have it ready for you.

There is a reason they won best cheese steak in the valley. The bread they get is a perfect medley to the mixture of sauce, onions, and steak. It's always packed come lunch time. Don't miss out on this gem.

Excellent food and great people! I grew up in Easton and my father was very good friends with the owner of Giacomos when it was on Washington St. His sausage is just flat out delicious, everyone that has tried it just wants more. I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

The best sausage in the world! My Mom grew up in a nearby town and her Dad (my Pop Pop) always bought sausage from Giacomo's. Still today we make a special trip to Giacomo's to pick up a lot of hot and fennel sausage to take back to NC and freeze. Luckily my boyfriend's family lives not too far, and my Aunt still lives nearby, so we have a couple of opportunities to get up there every year :) The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The sandwiches and salads are also very good, and they have a large selection of Italian grocery items.

  • Bill T.

Chicken parm was very good. But it took them about 20 minutes to produce it, and parking outside is only for 15 minutes! Nice selection of food items you would find only in Italy.

Finally ate here for lunch one day this past summer after years of driving and running by it. The cheese steaks and other sandwiches are excellent, and it's great eating outside on a warm day. The only thing that knocks it back a star for me is the hours they are open. Would love to eat some of their sandwiches for dinner but often don't get around to eating dinner until about 7ish, when they close. In a college town, only blocks away from Lafayette University, I bet they'd make a killing if they were open at least until 9.

Fantastic food in an intimate deli-style eatery. Sandwiches, subs, sausages, everything they make is delicious!

Family-owned deli and grocery with great sandwiches! Love their meatball parm, chicken cheese steak, and vodka sauce! Great folks that always know your name.

So glad we found Giacomo's, their food is the best in the area. They do get busy and it can take time to get your order, but it is absolutely worth the wait.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
