We were in Easton for parents' weekend at Lafayette College. Have been underwhelmed by some of the restaurants in downtown Easton, so did a little research and found Ashley's. All I can say is that I don't think we need to find another restaurant. Absolutely the best meal, service and ambience one could expect. We had a party of six-- ranging in age from 80 to 21. Everyone was thrilled. The portions were huge and, out of this world delicious. My father-in-law and I had the crab cakes, my husband-- the prime rib special, two Lafayette girls had the pork chops, and my son went for the tenderloin. All of the plates were wiped clean. We are food snobs, so that says a lot. The service was impeccable and the owner was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is set in a neighborhood, but very close to Lafayette. Absolutely wonderful. We will be back.

I just found my new "favorite restaurant". Thanks to my husband Jack for surprising me with this hidden gem!! The food is fresh and excellent tasting, from the homemade soup and salad dressing to the WONDERFUL homemade desserts prepared by the owner (Melinda) herself. My salmon was as fresh as I've had in Maine and nova Scotia! My husband's Shepard's pie was so good he didn't even need HP sauce! Pleasant atmosphere and Melinda makes you feel like you're her only guest! We will definitely be back. Thanks Melinda and staff for a wonderful evening! D. Lerch

If you go to Ashley's, you can't help but enjoy the laid back ambiance and friendly interaction of everyone you will meet there. It will be difficult to leave and not have met and gotten to know the owner and all the staff. We ate there on Monday, but Miranda (the owner - and who's day off is Monday) still found time to meet and greet us and made sure our experience was nothing short of excellent. Felicia was the most awesomest host/bartender/server one could expect as she took care of our every need and desire. OK - enough of the plaudits regarding the folks we met ... what about the food? Scrumptious cheese and crackers were served before our orders were taken, which was nice since there were so many options that made any kind of quick decision difficult. The delicious bread was also a nice accompaniment to both the appetizers and dinner. We started with sharing an awesomely hot and delicious bowl of Seafood Bisque with puffed pastry, followed by great green (read NOT iceburg lettuce) salads. Our main courses were the petite Filet Mignon special and Smoked Duck. The Filet was quite good, but nothing to die for (if you like really rare, I suggest you ask for extra rare).... The Smoked Duck on the other hand, was on a completely different level... perfectly infused with the right amount of in house hickory smoked flavoring, accompanied with a wonderful fruit compote, rice and vegetable medley that resulted in a simply flawless gastronomic experience. The tastes were exquisite, delicate and almost orally orgasmic (sorry if I'm being to explicit). We were disappointed by being too full after dinner to try any of the house made deserts. Well, i guarantee you there will be a next time quite soon, and hopefully there will be room for desert!

Found this exceptional restaurant via Yelp. Atmosphere, Drinks and Food are the best I've experienced in the Lehigh Valley in the past year. We like to explore new things, so we will be coming back to try everything on the menu!

My husband loves steak and usually go to Longhorn but when my parents found this and took me here I felt in love. And I'm pretty sure that when my husband comes back from The Army he will too! This is a gem . And to think when I was younger I used to take my bus stop right here & I thought it was a house. Very ironic. Beautiful atmosphere, service, & the chef is my favorite. I'll be coming here more often.

I love this place! Melinda the owner will be your best friend within 15 minutes! It's not like a restaurant at all. It's like eating and drinking with all of your closest friends. Ask the food is made to order, no matter the dietary restrictions. All the employees are very attentive. Melinda insists on meeting, greeting and knowing everyone. The food is very fresh and delicious. The drinks are served with a heavy hand. I think I'll have to come here every night!

Maybe a 4.5-star rating, but definitely on my favorite list for Lehigh Valley. Another fist bump to Yelp for helping me find this little gem. Made my first visit this week when I dropped by after 10 pm, after a long day of work. I was pleased that the kitchen was still open - open till something like 1.30 am, the hostess said. She even offered to re-open the dining room, but I found the lounge area to be fine. Apparently, my hostess is the proprietor. The establishment is located in an older house in a city neighborhood of Easton - the lounge is about the size of a large living room, and the dinning room is the same. This is an intimate space. What pushed me to the 5-stars was the owner. I thought my day was long! You wouldn't have known it for her. She welcomed me, graciously. Throughout the night she was engaging the other patrons in conversation - all seemed to be regulars who also knew each other. She invited me for a tour after I ordered, and talked about her business. I get excited when a proprietor is excited about her/his business - it's infectious. She was also my server, and it was a relaxing, comfortable dinner. Even though this is a 'locals' place, I felt welcomed even as a stranger. Nice vibe. Food was very good, and she was proud of it. As she described the specials and the menu, she even suggested that I could ask the chef to venture away from the menu. Everything was made there. I went with the French onion soup, and the pork medallions. After a few bites, I learned that the sauce on the pork was a creamy, bourbon-based sauce and included slices of peach. Nice balance. Side salad with dressing made their. Bread was good, too. Sadly, I had to pass on one of the desserts - she sold each one, very well. Next time. I learned that Ashley's hosts events in their dining room. There is a fireplace, and about ten tables. They also cater events all across Lehigh Valley. She has been running this place for 38 years.

This place is special. All the previous reviews are dead on. Wife and I were there on the way back from a trip to VA. It was a Sunday night and the restaurant was empty. The owner came out and made us anything we wanted. She is the best!!. The chef is off on Sunday so she cooked for us. The ribeye steak sandwich was the best I have ever had. The bread is amazing. I have also had an awesome salad dressing was home made and awesome. I love little places that are not fancy or expensive but have the best food and people. 2 dinners with salads $30.00 A must go to place for all!!!

I visited this place with my family, 7 were at the table, based on the good reviews. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised. The place has great character. The great ended there. We basically owned the place. It was a Sunday early evening and I expected the place to be busy. I didn't see anyone else, maybe one other table in place the whole time. That should be a sign! Surprisingly, the service was so slow with nobody else in the place! The food was just average to good, just not very memorable. There are other places that Easton has that are much better. Sorry folks.

Let's just start by saying you cannot find this many positive reviews on Yelp without a good reason. Greeter, proprietor, bar keep extraordinaire Melinda welcomed us into the fireplace-warmed dining area for a superb meal and desert selection. The latter was a tough choice as we were full but not wanting to miss out on these homemade treats. Congrats to all for an interesting evening of conversation and genuine hospitality.

Our family had the pleasure of dining at Ashley's this evening. The food was excellent and the service was warm and efficient. The menu is varied and includes light fare as well as excellent entrees. My personal favorite, lobster tail, was delicious and came with a tossed salad (the dressings are homemade), a baked potato and asparagus. I would highly recommend this neighborhood jewel to anyone who enjoys good food and a pleasant ambiance. Michele

This place was a pleasant surprise. I went here for a surprise birthday party. The place is small and cozy. The staff were amazing. They were incredibly attentive, friendly and fun. This is what customer service is all about. The food was all handmade from the salad dressing to the desserts. I had the crab stuffed haddock which was delicious. It was large and loaded with all crab with little to no fillings. If you haven't had the chance to eat here, get here. It is truly a gem tucked away in a residentail area o Easton.

Maybe the #1 place I miss from living in Easton! The food no matter who is chef always TOP-NOTCH! Melinda the owner is always an amazing host. And the bar crowd always VERY friendly. It is a great neighborhood location. And as high end as it all looks the bar prices are very decent. If you go to Easton, make sure you visit 11th & Wood Ave. The place that is really fancy looking outside is where you want to be!
