For a chain restaurant, Ruby Tuesday has done a great job with their food and service. I wish I could remember the name of the server we had last night - he was fantastic. Friendly and so helpful in determining what I could eat for my gluten free meal. The menu also offers more healthful choices such as a petite sirloin with roasted spaghetti squash and grilled zucchini. Between the lovely vegetables accompanying our meals and the salad bar we were able to get the vegetables and healthier meal that we had been craving on the road. The food was tasty and great value too.

I spent this past Friday night with my family for Mother's Day weekend, meaning my mom would be choosing the dinner plans. Which, as you can imagine, likely meant we would be eating at a chain we've been to 50 times. Ruby Tuesday it was. We were seated quickly as the restaurant wasn't very crowded initially but began to fill up while we were there. First off, the tables were way too close together. It wasn't his fault but the guy behind me kept bumping into my chair to get up and it was annoying as hell. The salad bar didn't look particularly appetizing on our walk in so I passed on that. I ordered the Smokey Mountain Chicken from the "Chef Inspired" menu with rice and broccoli. I immediately regretted this decision until I realized it's not like something else off the menu would've been any better. It looked like a slice of cheddar cheese was crudely thrown on top and the chicken and tossed in the oven. The chicken tasted like rubber all the way through, not something I usually crave with grilled chicken. The broccoli was ok, but the rice was awful. A big bland heap that I had no intentions of finishing. At one point during the meal a member of my family proclaimed this was his favorite restaurant and everyone else seemed to love their meal. Yeah, they're not very picky. I'll probably be back next Mother's Day.

Ruby Tuesday has always been one of my go to restaurants when I am traveling. That is until about a year ago when I went to one in West Virginia and I got crappy service, an unclean environment, and a dish that tasted like soap. I came to this Ruby Tuesday because they had done a pretty good job in the past. They did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make the experience better. The food was pretty good and everything was pretty well kept. Ruby Tuesday is back on the menu for me.

I've been to ruby Tuesday well over thirty times and have really enjoyed my meal almost every time. My last steak was extreamly thin and dry but whey time I've been there before was done to my specification. The garden bar is out of this world. I often go for lunch just for a soup and salad. They often run adds with deals and we know a lot of people that frequent ruby's so we often bit $50 in gift cards to get a free $15 off our next meal. The service can be a little slow at times. I've even sat waiting the waiter to come to our table for another drink for a half hour or so while I watched him bs with other waiters and waitresses. It really depends on who is working and who you get. I've had good and bad experiences but mostly good so I'll be back.

I haven't been in a ruby Tuesdays for years. I am not sure I will visit one again soon. Nothing against the Dubois location, I assume they are all like this. They are so dated feeling and awkward. They seem so generic and diner like now. Maybe they always have been like this, but I am not sure. They menus are odd, feels very cafeteria to me. It could be just me... They food is pretty boring and no memorable in any way. Seems like a place on the decline.

I stopped with my mother on Wednesday night (7/15) for dinner and it was a good experience. The food was awesome, our waitress (I think I remember her name being Danielle) was excellent, and our drinks were correct. All in all, it was one of the better trips I've had to Ruby Tuesday, it can be rather hit and miss. If there were anything to complain about this time, it would be that our food came out too quickly, if that's a thing. Our table was full of bread and salad bar plates, and we kind of had to make room for the additional until we were ready to switch over, but that was fine. I thought before that I had given up on this place, but it seems to maybe be turning itself around.

I never really eat here ever but I was reminded why on this particular day. I was here with a large group of about 20 people but they couldn't accommodate us without reservations so we were broken up into 4 or 5 different tables. I ordered the 8oz sirloin with the salad bar as an option. The salad bar is very nicely laid out. I do prefer the one at Eat n park though because it has more options like bread and fruit. This salad bar was nice still, they served pumpernickel bread croutons which was interestingly delicious. So when our food arrived, my steak was way overcooked, I ordered it medium and it was nearly well done and dry. I had to wait for her to put a new steak in for me. It was happy hour but the beers are extremely expensive. I ordered a 20 oz blue moon and it was $5.60. Our total bill was about $60 for two steak dinners and 3 beers. The steak wasn't that good to me even when it was prepared correctly. I don't have any ruby tuesdays near me and i'm actually glad because of it.
