I was born and raise in LA, CA....so we eat tacos every week. (Plus I am Mexican) I moved to Doylestown two years ago and never had a good or great taco here. I was so sad....My family and I love this place. Tacos with a spin on them...a great spin. I have tried every taco and they are all great. My fav is her beef and chicken. This is the only place we get our tacos from. Well done.... Its about time Doylestown!

Wife stopped here out of the blue and got tacos in a pint to go. They were awesome, homemade pica de gallo and tortillas. Meat was fresh and all the toppings were really good. Would recommend 3-4 tortillas per pint.

A taco shop with authentic food and real flavor. Sabrosa is the place Doylestown has been missing. The name translates to 'tasty' in Spanish and lived up to the billing. Tortillas made fresh and the tacos we had were excellent. Service was very quick and the people were pleasant. Definitely go for the desserts too...the brownies and sopapilla cheesecake were both fantastic.

Excellent! Service was very friendly. Food was prepared quickly. Food was excellent. We got the beef special, pork special and a create your own taco bowl. The taco bowl was my favorite. Note: there is not alot of seating. We went specifically for take home. We would definitely go back. Also, they gave us a complimentary cheesecake dessert. It was sooo tasty!

Tacos were terrible, the so called Chorizo was ground beef with BBQ sauce and the pork tacos had an awful aftertaste. I have never posted on yelp or any other review media yet but felt people should know this place is the furthest thing from authentic mexican food.

Ok, this review is kinda two sided. For one I think the food is good, chicken, beef tacos were very good. The chorizo taco... Not so much. With that being said I have to say it's a bit too expensive especially seeing how LA Tacos are the same amount of money and you get a bigger portion size. Second thing is there isn't really a place to eat and there isn't much in the way of beverages being sold. All of this comes with the understanding however that they are very new and still need to work out the kinks. Glad to see doykestown finally warming to Mexican though!

Delicious! Chorizo was my favorite. We all loved the lime marinated onions. Side of rice was very tasty but a little greasy. Homemade tortillas were superb. Not much room to sit but you can drive up and park on the side and they will run it out to your car. Super convenient in doykestown

At the corner of East State street in the middle of Doylestown we finally have the tastes of authentic Mexican cuisine. Beginning with hand made flour and corn tortillas, this place makes authentic tacos. You have the choice of beef, chicken, pork, chorizo, and roasted vegetables. I had the beef, and the chorizo. The former was served on a corn tortilla, with onion, cilantro and a big squirt of lime. The beef was shredded and very flavorful. The chorizo was less successful. The chorizo and the refried beans melded together and the chorizo juices leaked out and made the flour tortilla soggy. The tortilla definitely needs to be double wrapped. In addition to the tacos, they serve rice and beans with the tacos. I look forward to returning this wonderful locally owned restaurant.

First time at Sabrosa Taqueria (I also think it's fun to say the name aloud) today. I had been in search for a good taco and actually found this place through yelp. It was excellent. Basically a (clean and nice) hole in the wall. They have a little bit of seating - bar style- along the window and wall and some tables around back. So I wouldn't come with a large group, but heck just take your tacos and sit out on the curb then, its worth it. Only thing I'd say is I wish they offered different types of slaw, cheese, salsas, something maybe to make them stand out. However that being said I love the simplicity of this place. Order a crafted taco or make your own, get 2 or 3, heck 4 and chow down. Maybe if your still hungry get something sweet or just add a side to your tacos. I got chicken and pork signature tacos for a little over $3 each. Each equally amazing.

Loved this place! First impression was made by the two employees who greeted us very nicely even though it was getting close to closing time. The store is kind of small with limited indoor seating, but we took advantage of the BYOB and took our food out back to their courtyard which was great on a warm summer evening. The tacos were awesome. We had the chorizo which combined chorizorefried beans, bacon, onion and a great hot sauce to add just the right amount of heat. the chicken taco and roasted vegetable taco were also excellent. We finished things off with an unbelievable sopapilla cheesecake and a great chipotle brownie.... all at a great price!!! I definitely would recommend going the BYOB route an sit out back or take out would be good too.

This place is a true gem. You could walk by it 100 times and not know it's there but once you try it you will definitely not forget how to find it again. This is the only place outside of Philadelphia that I know of in the region where you can get fresh, homemade, authentic tacos. Not the Americanized crap you get at most so-called Mexican restaurants. For under 10 bucks you can walk out with three delicious tacos, a perfect lunch or dinner before catching a film at the theater down the street. Super friendly folks working there. And every type of taco I tried was unique and delicious. Also tried the most outrageously tasty brownie made with a touch of chili! This really is a find.

My friends and I randomly stopped into Sabrosa Taqueria on a recent girls trip to PA. I tried 2 signature soft tacos and was absolutely blown away! I would love to attempt to recreate the same at home, but I know I will fail (haha), so I need to go back to PA just to eat the same things again! I am totally dreaming about them and craving them. Yes they were THAT GOOD! The braised beef soft taco: the meat was soft, juicy, lean and flavorful and literally fell apart in my mouth. Drool. The lime marinated cilantro onions with it were the perfect compliment, and the onions were shockingly mild and did not linger at all in my mouth as raw onions can do. And the best part: the homemade corn soft taco! Best corn soft taco I've ever had! The flavor and texture were superb. I could eat those for days. The roasted veggie soft taco: Oh my goodness; the roasted sweet potato, onions, mushrooms, and other goodies plus guacamole tasted like candy veggies! I don't mean sweet, I mean that they were so delicious, I wanted to eat a bag of those veggies! WONDERFUL! Anyone would love a veggie taco if it's made this well. Overall: a must-try!! It's inexpensive, the staff was very nice and helpful (I had a lot of questions!), and the food is worth waiting just a few minutes for them to fresh prepare your order.

First...if your going to give a place a one star review, at least provide some constructive feedback on why you think they deserve that one star, not just that it was "terrible". Thank you. OK, so now, if someone were to ask me to describe the best kind of taco, I would simply tell them to go to Sabrosa Taqueria! We had met the owner last year at the Doylestown Arts Fest and she was very enthusiastic about the restaurant and what it had to offer. They have definitely fulfilled that prophecy and continue to provide Doylestown with it's best source of tacos! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the prices are reasonable and the service is quite quick. Everything tastes fresh and packed with flavor. They offer corn or flour tortillas and each of the expected meat groups and a veggie taco for those who prefer. I've had the chicken, beef and chorizo tacos so far and the chicken is my favorite. Very reasonable portions as well. The cheesecake dessert treat is bonkers good! I've never had anything like it, the flaky crust on the bottom is unreal. If you save room for dessert, I highly recommend it. The warm hot sauce is really good too, great consistency and goes great on any of their offerings. Bravo job here, they've got a regular customer in me!

This place is awesome, have had almost everything on the menu and haven't been disappointed. The tortillas are amazing, both the corn and flour. The tacos are extremely tasty, but not all gross and cheesy at the same time. The meat is extremely flavorful, but sometimes we'll just get some tortillas, rice and beans and roll our own. Great desserts as well, and great family run place. Plan to come once a week and I hope that nothing changes!

Between myself, my wife, and son we basically ate one of everything on the signature menu, and I have to say the food was amazing. The chorizo was unbelievable, far and away the best taco I have ever eaten in my life. The onions on the pork taco made it stand out...really great flavor combinations. The fresh hand made tortillas were a treat, the ingredients fresh and amazing and the meats were cooked to perfection. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoyed the meal. We also had the cheesecake and chipotle brownie for dessert and they were as delightful as the rest. The staff were also great, helpful fast and friendly.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
