So it's a chain restaurant. In all reality, chain restaurants should only ever be rated on a 1-3 scale because the atmosphere is pre-generated, the menu is corporate enforced, and every chain waiter is just working there until they can find some other job. My three stars are based on: 1. Their focus is wings. They have established that they are a destination for something. (Even though PJ Whelihan's up the street is the official sponsor of the WIP Wing Bowl in Philadelphia every year...) 2. They handed me a tablet to play trivia with my girlfriend while we wait for our food. This made our wait time feel like 30 seconds. (Request one if you are impatient.) 3. The service is definitely better than other chains...the only person on their cell phone was the token "hot" waitress. Everyone else was paying attention to their customers. The upside was that the service we have had was pretty consistent. Nothing bad, nothing outstanding. The downside is that this place is lacking something. I don't know what, but it never seems busy enough whenever we come here...so I expect it to be something else a few years from now.

It was my first time at a BWW. Atmosphere was nice, reasonable bar area, lots of tv's. There is no nice way to say it, service was not acceptable. We had to remind our server several times about drinks, condiments, etc. Ordered a side salad and received, a regular salad with chicken. He takes it back, replaces it without the chicken, only to find out later, we were charged for the chicken salad. No apology, were told salad is same price with or without chicken. We Didn't order that salad!! After lots of discussion, he gives us the chicken in a to go container. They win, we had to pay for something we didn't order. Will not be going back or recommending this location.

Haven't eat Buffalo Wild Wings for over a year. The food and service was good. Waitress really quick. Me and my friends enjoyed the food and drinks here.

If you like beer, sports and wings this was a great place to hang out. The bar area always seems to have better service then the dinning room area. Not sure if that is how it always is or not. I really like sitting at the bar. The bartenders are great at their jobs and are not hard on the eyes. The food is as expected, chain restaurant but the sauces rock.

Overpriced, over fried, over salted, food. Too many wing sauces that are tasteless, gloppy, and make your wings slimy. If you take your kids they give them useless tablets to use. So if you enjoy your kids ignoring you, and their faces stuck to a screen, this place only helps that. Their wing prices are double what you would pay anywhere else. 2 kids, 2 adults, 1 appetizer, 2 beers - $80. One of those places you will regret paying for.

Didn't try the wings, but the burger I had was awful. A great bun, but absolutely tasteless, fatty beef and not enough cheese. The sauces we taste-tested were quite good. French fries were ordinary. House salad, ditto. The fudge cake was plenty fudgey (with a nice scoop of vanilla ice cream), although I suspect it was loaded with the usual artificial junk that you find in supermarket cakes. No need for me to go back.

Always a good time here. Great place to get together with the fellas and grab a beer and some wings (salt & vinegar are my favorite) and watch a fight or game. I'll always be a fan of BDUBS.

This used to be a regular hangout last year for Sunday football but with the new Oaks location now open and strikeouts on every visit to this location this year I doubt I'll be returning to Downingtown BWW any time soon. I can't fault BWW for being so popular, but their hostess has left a horrible taste in my mouth the last few times. It's been the same kid the last few times who does not welcome you when you come into the restaurant, has a terrible attitude, and is extremely unfriendly. Even when the Eagles aren't playing, if you get here after 1pm on a Sunday forget even thinking about getting a table until 4pm. When the Eagles are playing, the crowd around the bar is at least 3 people deep. Despite there only being 1-2 bartenders for this entire crowd, they've actually been surprisingly prompt. Once I've fought my way through the crowd to get to the bar I've never had to wait too long to get a drink. It would be nice if they had some ledge or something you could stand against/put your beer down on in the bar area so you could order some wings but there's really nothing there except one tiny "table" by the arcade games which can only fit 2 people max. If you're here to stand and drink then it's fine, but eating is pretty much out of the question unless you've grown a third arm. BWW food is what it is and has its fans and haters; this location is no different. In addition to the wings (I like both the Habanero and Jerk sauces) I also really like the cheeseburger sliders and chili queso. It's not gourmet, it's not healthy (by a long shot) but it definitely hits the spot while watching the games. Last year it was usually possible to get a table at least in the dining area (where there are still plenty of TVs) even if you arrived after 1PM. Service was always OK (seems to get significantly slower/worse later in the games) and it was always a solid three star experience. This year, between the horrible hostess and nowhere to even stand in the bar I won't be returning.

Lacking in ... something. I don't know if it's the sub-par service or lame wings, but I was certainly hoping for something dynamite. Nope. Not even the wings was dynamite. I guess that's what I get for going to a chain wings place. Definitely going to stick to non-chain wing places in the future. At least the alcohol was plentiful? They got that right.

Food was fine but wow the service is terrible, and that's BEFORE the Saturday rush. If I were the manager and that many of my servers were standing around, they'd be looking for jobs. Waitress checked on us once, no one would be bothered to offer us *anything* without being asked.

I stopped here after a long drive from DC. The place was fairly busy on a Sunday night. There is a great selection of draft beers. I went for the combo deal (wings, boneless wings, fries and coleslaw for $15). The medium was spot on and the honey BBQ was good). There is a huge selection of flavors. The wings themselves were okay and there is a large selection of TVs to watch. There is also electronic Texas hold em that you can play. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit but definitely worthy of an occasional dinner.

I go to the Downingtown BWW every couple of weeks. It's good for the whole family, it's casual, and they have a decent beer selection. Usually about 30 beers on taps and at least that many televisions around, showing different sports. So, great place to go to watch a game. Maybe not a good place for a date (if you want them to actually look at you / talk to you and not be distracted by all of the TVs). I think the problem here is the wings, whic are hit or miss. They might be loaded with sauce or have hardly any, sometimes they are crispy, but usually not. They have a bunch of different sauces; I like most of them but they also vary - sometimes one is really spicy, another time not at all. I have to order wings extra crispy here because otherwise they are usually too soggy. The servers seem to rotate more often than the beers on tap so it's always someone new and inexperienced but let's face it, it's wings and burgers, not fine dining. I can't give this place less than a 3 for as often as I end up here, I have to think it's at least OK!

Great chicken wings. Decent service. Can get pretty packed during ppv events. Good beer choice. Lots of parking.

    (4)
  • Jason F.

They have wings....they have beer....both are offered up quickly, but are of dubious quality. A person who used to rent a room in my house worked there and a group of us would frequent it to keep her company. We never really dug the food (you can find better wings in D-town), but the beer is cheap and if you're a sports fan, there are a million games on.

    (2)
  • T G Z.

my wings were not cooked all the way. completely gross. Instead of taking it off the bill they gave us another order of them. For real????????? why would pay for uncooked chicken. yuck.

Wonderful if your a teen, another fried fast food restaurant in my book. Perfect for watching the big game with a crowd but not exactly my cup of tea. Only reason I came was that I was dropping off my son at college and I let him choose. Even my " healthy" salad tasted gloppy.

Was looking forward to checking this place out but left disappointed. The service was slow despite the place being no where near full. There were three to four ladies standing and talking at the hostess station the entire time we were there and yet it took 20 minutes to get our first round of drinks. The burger that one in our party of three ordered was good but their signature items(traditional and boneless wings) were not. The sauce on my traditional wings was flavorful but the wings were undercooked and only warm when brought to the table. I ordered the snack size which consisted of five wings. Overpriced in my opinion for what you get. I would have been much happier at P.J. Welihans across the way. Much better service, food, and beer selection.

    (2)
  • Johnny V.

As much as I love their wings and I love their beer selection, three out of the five times we've eaten there the waitstaff has been horrible to the point where we needed to contact the manager.

    (2)
  • Jeana S.

Our waitress was inattentive and came to the table maybe 4 times during our entire time here. This includes getting food. Had to wait 15 minutes for a refill. Food was good. Received the check 2 hours in. After visibly being done eating an hour in.

    (2)
  • David M.

Service I consistently slow and forgetfull. Bar is consistant lay lame. The food Is just ok for the price. Bartenders are cute. That's the only plus. This is a cliche commercialized restaurant bar.

Unbelievable. I just received a very inappropriate and unprofessional message from someone that works at this location stating I don't know what I am talking about. They actually said, just because I eat out at restaurants, doesn't make me an expert on food. What they don't know is I have been in the Restaurant industry for over 25 years and this is my business. More then ever, I don't recommend this horrible location, that serves wings that were freezer burned, flat, warm beer and dried out carrot sticks. Save yourself time and go to PJ's. I now do. Great job Sarah M or Raquel R! Hope your boss will be happy with your response to me.

It's a shame because I really like Buffalo Wild Wings, buy on my visit last night I was disgusted by a fully feathered wing. Luckily it was at the bottom of the bowl cause I was hungry. On the flip side, it does kind of nauseate me that the wings I ate were contaminated. The manager heard and came to apologize, and just said "oh well, it's chicken anatomy". He was lucky I was there with my nephew or I would have caused a scene. Chicken anatomy? Really? How about you make sure food is edible before you serve it!

This place is a GreAt time! I had never ate there before and so glad i did Appetizer- basket of onion rings with southwest ranch dipping sauce. They were cooked perfectly the sauce was amazing! I had 15 wings for dinner mix of garlic parm, asian zing, and mango habanero . The latter were my favorite!! So flavorful and amazing Meghan is a great server took good care of us ! Ask for her she is good I will be back!

    (5)
  • Amber G.

Worst seat in the house. We got Sat right next to the hostess podium where people waiting to be seated stare at you as your trying to eat. The staff and servers gathered to talk about there personal lives and even other tables it really killed the atmosphere while we were trying to eat. The food was below par even for a chain... fries came out cold and the wings were supposed to be hot but tasted more like suicide wings I couldn't really enjoy them. Over all I really doubt I will ever come back... this was my first and last experience at a buffalo wild wings!

  • Sujay D.

Love the wings here, specially Thai curry wings! You can order a large and mix upto 4 sauces. Habanero Mango will blow your mind be sure to tame that with Carribean Jerk.

  • Laura F.

Great place to go to watch the game and have some delicious wings. I love the extensive selection of wing sauces. I like menus with a lot of choices and there are definitely choices here. It can be a bit loud here but it is meant to be a sports bar. If you are craving wings and have a game to watch - this is the place to go.

    (4)
  • Ken D.

Great place to watch the game with friends. The wings there are really good, and they have so many sauces to choose from. I recommend the Hot rub. Its not messy like the others and really tastes amazing. The beer section was great and the bartendser are always nice and will let you try a sample before ordering. Any time I want to watch the game with friends, this is the place to go.

    (5)
  • Joe C.

Have visited twice - both on Sunday evenings - and have found the wings to be above-average. Here's a heads-up: if you order your wings "hot", they're going to be hot...REALLY hot, not just a little spicy which is what you normally find at most wing joints. BWW is definitely pricey. The wings are of such quality that their price is forgivable but their beer? 16 oz Yards IPA at $6.50 makes this a place I'm only going to order one or two beers maximum. Service at the bar is suspect as the bartenders are easily distracted by their coworkers, texting, etc. Food can be sloppily prepared, too; on one occasion, the amount of sauce that came on my wings was literally no more than a tablespoon, quite egregious for a place that hangs its hat on its wings.

    (3)
  • Risa M.

I don't know why we returned, mostly convenience I suppose, but that's it for me. I just can't swallow all that msg in one sitting. Sorry BWW. At least your stock is hot.

It's hooters with better wings and minus the tacky outfits. Wings and all the sauces I tried were very good. Good bar/sports atmosphere. Our service was good as well

Good service & good food! From the host to the waitress, all went well. The food came out quickly and tasty. My boys had wings, which I think they loved even more b/c of the mess! That came w/ blue cheese, celery and carrots. I had the spinach artichoke flatbread w/ chicken...mmm mmm mmm! I lied and told myself it would be healthier. LOL The boys enjoyed the mango lemonade. They have a ton of tvs of all different sizes, showing all different sports. (Not that that interested me) Oh, try their blue cheeseburger...to do for. The fries are pretty good too.

Not great but not horrible. I'd go here again if I had to, but wouldn't be my first choice.

It's no secret that I am an enormous fan of BDubs and wish there was one around the corner for us. Seeing as how that's not happening any time soon, a visit every now and then is in order. This fits the chain well - big space inside, plenty of TVs to watch the NUMEROUS sporting events going on. Our server was terrific, food came out fast. Fried pickes because they are awesome, grilled chicken wrap with parmesean garlic sauce, because that's the jam right there. Great location if you're out in Downington - it's right off 30, across from the movie theater, BJs, DSW, etc. It's a very family friendly restaurant.

Food really is nothing to brag about. Fun to go and watch a game and drink a beer, but the food is absolutely nothing special.

Visited for the second time and had a great experience. Host was friendly, especially with my 3 children. Seated us almost immediately (to be fair it wasn't that crowded.) Waitress was super friendly and very helpful. Manager came by to check on us at least twice as well, which is always appreciated. We happened to be there on a Tuesday night which is when they offer their Traditional Wings for on 50 cents a piece - another bonus and our waitress even hooked us up with an extra coupon she had on hand. The wings aren't my personal favorite but the kids love them and there are plenty of other items to select from on the menu if wings aren't your thing either. We'll definitely go back.

    (4)
  • Joe B.

Service was good. We were able to watch the games and fights. Food was good, too. If the drink prices were a little better, this place would be perfect.

    (4)
  • Tony C.

Grabbed some items for takeout tonight. Wings were flavorful and meaty. Nachos loaded with all the right stuff and the chips were salty but not to much salt. Little man had the mini hot dog with fries and he really liked it. Will be back soon.

I'm a fan of the BWWs in California that I've been to, and I was excited to see one open up near my sister's house in Downingtown. We decided to go check it out mid day Saturday. The place was moderately full, and after a few minutes sitting at a high top table in the bar area, we were able to find 2 spots at the bar and saddle up. Despite this place being a chain, we had EXCELLENT service. Our waitress when we were at the high top served us drinks immediately, and our bartender at the bar was friendly, started conversations with us, and was very informative and an excellent server. BWWs is a great place to grab a beer from their large selection of drinks, play some trivia, or watch a game on one of their many TVs. Perfect for groups or a friends day out. The wings are the best part of BWW- that's no secret. This location was very clean, organized, and the service was great. We will absolutely be heading back next time we're in the area.

  • Mister S.

Nice environment, big tvs etc. But the food is horrible. The reviewers who think the food is great here must not know what good wings and chicken taste like. The chicken tastes very cheap and artificial. Too much breading. I've had better at fast food joints. The sauce selection size is good, but the sauces themselves just aren't all that tasty. This place is all hype and very overrated.

    (2)
  • John D.

There are far better places to go. The staff is excellent and very attentive to make sure you are happy, and the buzztime quiz is fun to play when you are eating. Their food is not good. You go in expecting some of the best wing you have ever had. There is nothing special about their wings, just because they have some different types of sauces doesn't make the place amazing! Tried different items on the menu, nothing great to rave about. The place looks like it is run by people 18-25yrs old including the managers. I have nothing against young workers, but there is no one there with long term experience either. Food for thought. Drinkers This place has good drink specials, and if you are looking for a place to watch the game then I guess it will do, they have enough TVs in the place so you wont have a problem looking for a TV that has your game on. Advice Go to PJ Whelihans that is about a half mile from there, their half price wing special is the same night at BWW (Tuesday night) and their wings are great!! (They supply wingbowl with their wings) Great selection of different food and wing sauces. I would say the overflow of people not wanting to wait for a seat go to Buffalo Wild Wings, but the better place is PJ's!

  • David b.

This is your basic sports bar they must have 50 diff. TV's going on with a diff. game on each one. I love the wings they are top notch some of the other food is over priced though. I love this place I camped out and have free wings for a year!

  • Steve B.

Sometimes, a dining experience surpasses all expectations of culinary grandeur. Intimate settings, Michelin star-level food, highbrow clientele. This is not that place. And its awesome because of it. Buffalo Wild Wings serves up their name: Pretty darn good wings in a very sports-bar setting. There are so many TVs set up with sporting events that I see this being a VERY crowded place come football season. My first visit didn't have us waiting long, and we sat down to a very good sports bar menu. I had the Habenero Mango wings - The sauce was great, and had some very good fire. The star of the show ended up being the fried pickles. Yes, you heard me - Fried pickles. They come out in chipped form with a southwest ranch sauce. I could have had just a basket of these and called it a day. The service was VERY attentive, something I didn't expect from a chain place. I wish I remembered her name to give her some extra recognition. All in all, if you're looking for some wings and beer with friends to catch a game, this is definitely a solid place to do so.

Took the family to this establishment for the first time and had a great time. The service was sufficient and the multi TV screen covering all the walls were enticing. The signature plethora of buffalo wings were good. The burgers were done to order. Everyone in the family wants to return for another dinner here.

My friends and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings in Downingtown the second night it was open. We had a great time! There were plenty of friendly waitresses and the wings are awesome... They have about 30 beers on tap and a variety of mix drink options. I have no complaints about this place at all. It was clean, reasonably priced, and plenty of TV's, games, and staff to keep everything going... It was loud around 9pm when we first went, which continued past midnight. It's not the classiest or quietest place to visit for a first date, but that's not what BWW is there for. If you're into sports, drinking, or great food; you'll certainly enjoy yourself here. I'd highly recommend trying it out with some old friends who you always have fun with, and take it from there!

Great place! Some of the best wings I have ever had.

Ok food. Nothing special. I know that the wings come with sauce choices, but I would prefer to have some kind of seasoning on my wings. I had the nachos, which really were nothing special. The dessert was the size that is on the little laminated menu. Don't think I will be back.

Been a fan of the BW3 chain for years and look for their locations when biz travelling. Glad to see a local op in Chester county. Wings are excellent with many sauces choices with various flavors/heat levels. Basket of buffalo chips is a must with any wing order. Beer selection is good. Full service bar. NTN trivia/poker always playing and look forward to picking up the QB1 habit again this fall during football season. Tons of TVs, but you have to find your seat as I haven't seen them change feeds for anyone. One complaint: did the Blazin' challenge at 12:30pm on opening day and did not get a shirt. Heard different stories as to why they were out of shirts, mfg of shirts went out of business, corporate isn't doing it anymore, etc. Whatever, get me my shirt. Will be back, though. Tuesday for sure with the wing special.

Typically solid franchise, this location however is poorly managed and has sub par wings. This is the second consecutive time I ordered to go and the second time that the 15 minute prep time turned into closer to 30 minutes. I chalked the first time up to a simple mistake - the second time however shows a pattern. When I arrived I had to ask to be helped even though there were 3 employees behind the counter, including the manager. I was told it would be a couple minutes - that stretched into 15 and I finally asked for service again. Turns out my wings had been sitting there for the past 15 minutes, they did not bother to notify my even though I was 5 feet away. Once again Patrick the manager was behind the counter and simply ignored the customers around the counter. Needless to say, the wings were cold and perhaps undercooked. Not a good combination when it comes to chicken. There is a new one in West Chester, a little further drive but worth it if I can avoid salmonella.

    (1)
  • Joe B.

Great wings and service. Always fresh and the sauce is evenly distributed across the wing. I always prefer the Medium sauce as it is very tasty and not too hot, but its got a kick. The only thing I dislike about the place is they cut you off at the bar after a single Gold Monkey beer, or after 2 mixed drinks. AND they close the bar at 12:30am. How is that even a bar? I can drink 5 or 6 mixed drinks and a few beers and still be good to drive. I'll still be going here often, but I just wander over to Olive Garden next door and down a few more drinks then go back to BWW.

  • Teresa G.

The place has great food but as soon as we walked in, I was shocked by how loud it was! It was so loud the waiter had to stand next to each person to hear our order and some things were still wrong. If you like loud sports bars, it's for you, but definitely not for me. We went on a Friday night at 7:30 when there was a Phillies game on and a race and some other sports games on other tvs so every few minutes we would get the people on our right bursting out cheeres for something, then on the other side another group would cheer for what they were watching. Then there were the people playing the questions game and cheering for their right answer. I will be getting take out if I go back because the food was really good. I enjoy a nice restaurant and good conversation, which is something you can't have there because you can't hear the person next to you without yelling! I couldnt enjoy the company i was with. We had to stand out in the parking lot after we were done, for an hour and talk. I would give the food 4 stars, for this being my first time there, but the atmosphere 1 so I'm gonna have to split the difference and go with 3.
