First things first, it's within walking distance of my house, which is a big plus. Second, the burger list. Oh my GOD the burger list. There is at LEAST 100 burgers on their menu(and that's not an exaggeration). And they all sound DELICIOUS. The prices are reasonable as well. The rest of the menu is very good; the seafood choices are in particular wonderful. If I could complain about anything, it's the lack of seating. The place is not that large for those who don't want to sit at the bar...I've never personally have had bad service here, but YMMV.

I've been coming to the DoHo fairly often for awhile now as I live nearby. I definitely have a mixed view of the place. On the one hand, the hamburgers here may just be the best in the area. There are many choices (105 or so and counting) for toppings and, for the most part, they are properly cooked to order. The rest of the menu is not as good but it is acceptable. They have a big and varied beer selection. On the other hand, the service (in the restaurant portion) is, at best, indifferent. (My neighbor, who refuses to go there anymore, calls it "hostile.") And it isn't a sporadic problem; it's consistently the same. Most times we go, our drink orders aren't filled for 20 minutes and it takes at least 45 minutes to an hour for our food to come out. I can't be sure that the reason for the delay is the servers and not the kitchen (it really doesn't matter, though) but the servers don't seem to care. One waitress in particular seems to disappear for long periods of time and pretends (?) not to see customers as they frantically try to wave her down for drink refills. Another negative is the decor, which probably would have been out of date in the 1950s. All in all, I would recommend coming here only during very off hours. Forget about coming on a Friday or Saturday night. If you can live with the poor service, you will enjoy your hamburger.

We stopped buy on a Thursday after noon because I heard about I restaurant that I went to as a child. My co workers highly recommended if so I took my child. We where impressed by the 105 burgers. Both of us got one and loved it. The only downside is the atmosphere, it isn't the worst but can use some work. Other then that the service was great the got us out in 30 minutes. I will come here more often.

July 13, 2015....Met friends for a birthday dinner celebration. We had reservations for 5 PM. 6:15, after purchase of 3 full pasta dinners, 3 glasses of wine and 3 desserts (a sizable bill) a handful of people were waiting to be seated. Our waitress came to our table with a "Ah, ladies.....I hate to do this, but ..." She actually was asking for us to leave! We still had parts of coffee and were enjoying our celebration up to this point. Too bad she didn't say this BEFORE we paid the bill and left the tip! We decided to just leave. I must say that none of us have ever been asked to leave anywhere before, we all considered this behavior extremely rude! Unfortunately, we will not return nor recommend.

Huge, huge selection of burgers. It tempting, but I only ordered steamed clams because I knew there would be food at the surprise party later that afternoon and I didn't want to fill up. My husband said the burger was good and he had too many fries, so was able to share with me. The place looks a little run-down, but the food is decent. I was glad that a door separated the bar from the dining room because it was loud and looked like people were able to smoke in there. My child loved the sliders on the kids menu. The soup my father-in-law ordered smelled really good.

This place could be a five star gem with proper management. Steak sandwiches were great (Conshohocken Italiany Bakery rolls at work, I suspect?) at very affordable prices; service was borderline poor. The place just needs an infusion of enthusiasm from management and help to become a destination spot. Their Facebook page hasn't been updated in three years!

Stopped in for burgers Saturday night and had a great meal. Over 70 different types of burgers to choose from ! Wasn't our first visit and won't be our last. The food is really good. The only thing that I noticed, that could use some improvement, is the wait staff that stopped and stood or sat many times at one patrons table to chat. One waiter even went as far as to sit and join them at the table several times while we were there. When I'm waiting for my food, especially when it's busy, the last thing I want to see is wait staff taking a break in the dining area. Maybe it's the manager in me, but I can't believe there wasn't something that they could be doing, filling or cleaning.

This was okay, I ate in the bar. The service was good, and the bar tender friendly. She made a perfect Manhattan. It has the potential to be a cute little place but the decor is terrible. The 1950's called, they would like their tacky wood paneling back. I ordered their soup of the day (Cheddar Apple Potato, sounds good right? No. It was very bland) and shared club sandwich on sourdough bread. The club sandwich was HUGE and had entirely too much mayo on it. I like my condiments as exactly that, not the main event. The American Cheese tasted like Kraft Singles but what can you expect when you have a cheese that is not flavorful to begin with. The club had a ton of meat on it, which is always a good thing in my opinion.

You can tell this used to be an old hotel. It's not junky looking, just an older style. The burger choices are crazy. The menu is up to 91 options now for only $7.99. Staff was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend checking it out for a casual meal out.

OK place for quick local stop for basic food choices. Salad bar & soup is always available in dining room. Bar is always hoppin' noisy & thriving. Popular casual place. Sweet potato fries with choice (50+ choices) of burger & salad bar will be satisfying meal. I think it's Mon. that is spaghetti night & their sauce just doesn't do it for me - bland, tasteless. Recently, they replaced chairs in dining room that for all those years were comfy armchairs for most part but now are cheap & uncomfortable chairs so we don't go there. Their carpeted floor in dining-room always grossed us out as well- if a floor could be sticky, that would be it although I admit that I never felt it - gross thought. In all the years that we frequented this place, they never once cleaned the door & doorway which matches the gross level of the carpet. Lack of cleaning I don't understand, especially when measured over many decades. It may have changed - a local hangout that many enjoy - we choose to skip.

Ahh, The Douglasville. The place has been around forever and is kinda famous for their delicious burgers. They have over 70 different ones now including a peanut butter topped one that is apparently delicious! I am not too adventurous when it comes to food so I can only say apparently as I haven't had it. They have a proper dining room separate from the bar, but when my wife and I go there which is usually on a weekend afternoon we hang in the bar area. The place has a definite dive bar feel, but in a good way. The folks hanging out there is a good mix of bikers, golfers, craft beer fans and older retired guys. They have a nice bottle selection and having a Nugget Nectar for $3.50 is a bargain. The bar food is really good with some nice grilled cheese choices, though not as many as the burger choices, including my fave grilled ham and cheese on sourdough bread! During the nicer months it's nice to ride my bicycle along the river trail from Pottstown and stop in for a brew and bite as the Douglasville is right off the trail.Bartenders Marsha and Tanya do a great job and it's worth a visit!

Went tonight for dinner. This place is just good! Had crab skins, and #20 burgers. Both were great. I cannot say enough about this place. Will continue to come back.
