This has become our new favorite breakfast joint. I love that they allow half orders on all items that are highlighted on the menu. So if you're in the mood for more than one item you are able to get a half order of both. The potato skins are amazing! They stuff it with a scrambled egg, bacon, and drizzle homemade cheese wiz on top. They have daily specials and it always changes. If You're in the mood for a certain item just ask and more than likely they will make it. They're just those type of people. The only thing to be aware of is it is cash only.

This quaint diner-esque establishment is the kind of place that gives character to a town. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly good morning and lots of local kids paintings alongs the walls. While looking over their extensive breakfast & lunch menu you could hear conversations with other tables who all seemed to be regulars here, and made me slightly jealous that I wasn't a townie too. Thankfully our server treated us with the same pleasant and small town love that she did to everyone else. Now to the food, it was very difficult making a decision between such great plates like their vibrant french toast, a chilli omlette, chipped beef or countless other things. The hubby decided on a ham club which was really yummy, large and came with delicious crispy fries for only $7. I can't pass a good country fried steak or trying some good gravy. This is a warning: I hate American Breakfast sausage. Well, this gravy brought sausage chunks, but the server said it was a customer favorite, sooo I tried it and I can say is this is the BEST DARN GRAVY I have EVER had! Overall, I will be coming here as often as I can!

Love this place. Let me start by saying that I go to places for the food, not the decor. My wife and I have been going here for about 1-2 months now. I wanted to really try this place out prior to reviewing. I will tell you that I am hesitant on letting the cat out of the bag on this place, but here you go The ambience is as basic as you get here but what it lacks in decor it makes up for in the personality of the wait staff and owners. These people invite you in and make you feel so welcome every time you come in. The food. Oh my god, all I can say is that it's amazing. I love that the breakfast menu allows for so many half orders. This allows me to try new things every time I come here. The blueberry pancakes short stack is awesome and one of my favorites. The Reuben, French toast, chipped beef (SOS), waffles, made to order omelettes and homemade sausage gravy and biscuits are all fantastic. If you want want a fancy, hipster, I only eat kale shakes, style place then please go eat elsewhere as I don't want to see you in here anyway. But if you want damn good breakfast then this is the spot.

Got the eggs Benny and they where soooooo good!!!! Have been craving it since and I'm a very picky cook myself! Not a fan of much breakfast items but this was one I loved! Deffinetly my go to breakfast spot.

If you are like me, and enjoy a small business success story served with whipped cream and strong coffee, the Old Croydon Café is just about as good as it gets. I stopped in for the first time this week and took a stool at the counter. From my vantage point I could look into the kitchen service window and see the heads of the cooks making magic out of eggs and pancake mix. The old joint is on the north end of State Road, which I soon discovered could be used as a detour from Rt. 95, all the way to Center City. Good to know! The place is small, with 7 or 8 stools and an equal number of booths and tables. I sat next to a house painter, lawn mower repair man, and a roofer. The conversation was cordial and full of gallant repartee. The owners worked front and back and kept the dishes coming along with the warm banter. I really liked OCC even before my French Toast Deluxe arrived. This was as downhome as this part of Pennsylvania gets. When my breakfast arrived I beheld an oval plate framing a still life watercolor. The 3 slices of well grilled and caramelized French Toast, topped with Fresh Whipped Cream and Blueberries, Strawberries, and Bananas, and finished with a lazy drizzle of Blueberry Sauce. (See Photo) The toast was hot, the cream cool, and the fruit cold and juicy. The tastes and textures were fun and delicious. It was one of those meals that I did not want to end. Old Croydon Café has definitely made my very short list of favorite breakfast nooks. I will return to explore the menu, and even come back for lunch when possible. This place is a hidden treasure.

Are you down with O.C.C ? Yeah you know me! The Old Croydon Cafe is a wonderful little breakfast joint in the heart of Croydon. So far I've been to this place twice and I will be back again. They have the best hash browns in the tri state area and I am a hash brown enthusiast. If I had anything negative to say it would be that I didn't really enjoy their scrapple but the other food made up for it. I had an incredible omelette with bacon,spinach,feta, and mushrooms. I shall return to this place soon.

Was in the mood for some breakfast this morning. So desided to try a new place. That I never tried before, And was impressed with how great the food was and the service was just perfect. Not one complaint. Definitely a place I would go back to eat at again.

Great breakfast spot. Forget to check-in a lot, but have been coming here for months now. Recommend the biscuits instead of toast. They are delicious. Fruit cups change up what's in them but they are big and fresh. My favorite so far is runny eggs over corned beef hash. The scrapple is great, so are the breakfast potatoes. Today I had the grilled pastrami on rye with Swiss and 1,000 dressing. The only thing missing is some sauerkraut. It would be so much better. The only breakfast dish I haven't been thrilled about is the sausage biscuit with gravy. The reason is because it's a sausage patty on an amazing biscuit. I wish they just put fresh ground sausage in the gravy instead. Overall it's a great place, with just a few changes I think it could be amazing and a spot people would travel to.

Listen, I really love to support local watering holes almost as much as I love to support local restaurants and cafes. My wife and have tried tons of "Little Holes in the Wall" and find that 99% of the time the food and service is much better than the bigger places. That is until we went to the "OCC" WHAT A DUMP!! If it wasn't for the wait staff I don't know how this place is still in business. The owner whom I believe his name was Dan (I could be mistaken) was talking to his employees like they were 2nd class citizens. My wife and I heard him talk poorly about two other local business to 2 of his (what I'm guessing to be OCC's regulars). The place was fifthly top to bottom!! The food tasted like it came right of the Sysco truck dipped in butter and thrown on our plate. My advice is for this guy to remember who is paying his bills and try to stop bashing others. (It doesn't make you look good sir!) I wish them much success but, as for my wife and I NO THANK YOU!!

Service was good, our server was attentive to the needs of the group through out the meal. Food was delicious!! Loved the sweet ricotta pancakes. The potato skins with egg, bacon and special sauce were awesome too. The cuban sandwich was also a delight. Can't go wrong with anything. Coffee was also nice and bold but not bitter.

Totally unexpected gem in the heart of Croydon. I've been here at least once a week since I first tried it out. Anyone that doesn't give this place 5 stars is CRAZY! I've honestly never been dissapointed but a few of my favorites are the French toast deluxe and the diablo omelet. Try the specials they are always spectacular!

My husband and I like nothing better than discovering a new little hole-in-the-wall eatery. In this case, we were directed to the Old Croydon Cafe by our trainer, who also shared the compelling back story for this diner. The owner, like far too many others, found himself unemployed during the recession. He decided to use his break from the workaday world as an opportunity to pursue his dream of restaurant ownership. And he marshaled various resources to gamble on opening the Old Croydon Cafe. It is a gamble that has paid off for numerous happy breakfast and lunch eaters, to be sure. The owner himself mans the kitchen, while the diner is staffed by a very enthusiastic waitstaff. We have enjoyed breakfasts here several times. Standouts are the fluffy pancakes with a homemade maple-butter topping and the generously proportioned breakfast sandwiches. That is not to say that we have ever been disappointed: The owner's TLC translates into perfectly textured omelets and beautifully finished egg dishes. Prices are reasonable and competitive. The Old Croydon Cafe serves only breakfast and lunch, and its hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Love the breakfast there. The prices are very reasonable, the food is awesome. I had the Philly cheesesteak omelet: chopped steak, onions and homemade whiz sauce, yum. My girlfriend got the Belgan waffle, it was fresh and thick. Definitely a great spot.

CASH ONLY! Went there for lunch and the food was good. It's standard diner type food. Nothing overly special, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

We ate here on Friday morning around 11:00, so you could go either way (breakfast or lunch). Everything on the menu looked yummy, but I went for lunch. The rest of my party (Hubby, Mom, Aunt and Uncle) all went for breakfast. Hubby got pancakes, eggs and a homemade sausage patty. I would go back here just for the sausage patty, it was excellent! Everyone else got typical breakfast fare too: omelets, oatmeal, and fruit. The fruit cup was impressive; everything was bright and delicious looking. Some places will try to give you anemic honeydew and call it a day. I hate that! I went with a lunch of chicken fingers and O.C.C. fries: fries with fried onions, bacon and homemade wiz. They were YUMMY!!!! I put some hot sauce on them too, comfort food perfection. The chicken fingers were pretty good. Next time I'm getting a full plate of O.C.C. fries. The menu is extensive, lots of choices for breakfast and lunch. Some of the items are highlighted, indicating you can get a smaller portion, for a smaller price! On Thursday, Friday and Saturday they are open for dinner and it's BYOB. We'll have to check this out sometime. The Old Croydon Café is not a fancy place, but they have good service, good food, great prices and plentiful portions. This was a definite find!

This has become my new favorite hole in the wall place in Bucks County. Great diner-like menu with daily specials that are creative and unique. Breakfast is the BEST!!! The service by the friendly waitresses is terrific.

the food is just ok and when you add in the rude, overwhelmed waitstaff you get a not so good time. I think this place has potential but i guess they are just happy with serving the regulars,because they do not go out of there way to give good service,it really is lacking.

My absolute favorite nook for breakfast/brunch! The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed amongst small town locals and those who are fortunate to know it exists. The menu is stacked with options you will, definitely, be asking your server for a few more minutes so you can decide your order. I always create my own omelets and love that they have jalapenos and salsa so I can add a personal spicy, Tex-Mex taste. Its quaintness makes it a great place to share a meal while catching up on life with family and friends. The staff are always pleasant with smile and never hesitate to accommodate. The prices are more than reasonable for the all-around a-plus service and dining experience. It's cash only and bring extra for tipping your server very well......they all deserve it! You are guaranteed to leave here with a full, stuffed belly and a sunny morning smile! So, this weekend wake up your husband/wife for a date to share delicious food or call your best friends with an invite to never-ending coffee and enjoy yourselves!

Not bad for the price. Should get some nicer waitresses. Very good coffee. But the potatoes could do with less dusting. And wash those spudes. Had some on my last visit and had dirt on them. Not good! Watch they charge more on weekends. Not good. Same greasy food as during the week.
