Hidden cheesesteak gem. Seriously good cheesesteaks. Probably the best cheesesteak in conshy. Early hours so plan on lunch not dinner. Order your food and go get a beer at the conshy brewery while its being made.

I worked in customer service for 10 years, and committed to never returning to this place after my first visit. You will also see from my other reviews that I generally try to spread only positive feedback in order to promote the good local businesses. I also usually try to ignore complainers, assuming that the people who write negative reviews are also the kind of people who go out of their way to have a bad experience when they walk into a restaurant. Despite this, I am complaining, and here is why: I live 4 blocks away from Pete's, and took a walk there on a snowy Saturday morning about two weeks ago, hoping for coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I was out of coffee at home, and couldn't drive anywhere else due to the weather, otherwise my boyfriend and I would have already been on my way to Gem's or another favorite place for breakfast. (The kind of place that hands me the pot of coffee along with my cup.) When I arrived around 11 am, the gentleman who served me informed me that breakfast had ended at 9:30, so I opted for some hoagies (which, in all fairness turned out to be quite good.) Before checking out, I asked for two coffees, and the gentleman (who was old enough to know better, if I may add) looked at me, glanced at the empty pots, knowing that he would have to brew more in order to accommodate me, and said, almost sheepishly.. "...Uh, as I said we stopped serving breakfast at 9:30." (Someone will have to inform Starbucks that in America we stop drinking coffee at 9:30.) So I politely said "OK" and walked home. Simply put: I will not patronize a place where I was denied a coffee on a snowy day. Whoever was behind the counter clearly didn't feel like helping me, and that is bad business. No thanks.

When you envision an American Deli, Pete's nails it straight on the head. I have ordered lunch from here on several occasions and have yet to be disappointed. If your looking for gourmet food, this is not your place. If your looking for tasty, filling sandwiches that hit the spot then here ya go! I've had an array of sandwiches and each time they hit the spot. Quality food, that's quick and affordable is all I can ask for from a deli. By far one of the best Deli's in Conshy!

Pete's is a polarizing place, in that there are strong arguments to be made for both the pro and the con. First and foremost, these people make some killer sandwiches; the cheesesteaks are decently packed, the breakfast sandwiches are pretty good and the rolls have terrific texture and flavor. Their buffalo chicken cheesesteak is one of the best in town. On the con side, if you want a normal, single-person-sized sandwich (10" instead of most places' 12"), it's called a "half" because they get those delicious rolls in 20 inch portions, and they kind of expect you to know that if you call in. Furthermore, breakfast service (which is a big deal for me) ends at an embarassing 9:30 a.m., rendering it nearly inaccessible for a night owl such as myself. Pete's puts out some good stuff, but plenty of local competition stands up taller. And watch the screen door on your way out.

Heard so many time about the cheesesteaks at this place. I finally had a chance to grab one with a co worker. I wasn't overly impressed. It seemed dry and just overly stuffed with meat. Roll wasn't bad but I don't like it when a pound of meat falls out after every bite. I can honestly say that I don't think I'll ever return, for a cheesesteak specifically anyway. Bottom line; Quantity over quality isn't always the best business approach at trying to achieve repeat business.

I've been going here for years whenever I am in town. Very good, fresh bread from bakery next door. Big portions and nice staff. Turn around isn't always the quickest, but you never have to wait too long. Big fan of their buffalo chicken cheesesteaks and roast beef w/ cheddar.

Colossal sandwiches. Their turkey club is no exception, and I love it. Each of the mom n' pop Italian deli's scattered throughout the Conshohocken area has it's own loyal customer base (with each being staunchly convinced theirs is the best...I'll vouch for Pete's on the club and steaks, but give it up to Lenny's on the Zep and roast pork). Hopefully loyalties and tradition persist now that a Jimmy Johns has been planted right on the main corner of town. Not a sit down place, just order up and take your bounty home...or eat in the car if you can't wait, Iike I normally do.

In a town that is overloaded with places to get a quick sandwich, this is by far the best hoagie in town. They get their rolls from literally next door which just so happens to be Conshohocken's Italian Bakery. You're already starting on the right foot with a roll from this place. This isn't a place to stay and eat as they have no place to sit, but if you're driving through town and have a moment to pick something up, stop in and you won't be let down. Tied for Best Italian Hoagie in the Philadelphia area for me.

The hoagies here are massive - definitely get a half. Great little deli that I can walk to from work, especially on a nice day. They also have a huge variety of chips, ice cream, and drinks. Prices are good for the amount of food you are getting!

Pete's rules. The sandwichs are king size, a helf will do nicely but a whle is a few meals in itself. Delivery is timely, quantity os great and I think they make the best steak and hoagie in the KoP area.

I love this place. It's the tiny old skool deli I was looking for when I get a hankering for a great sandwich. It's a friendly small business where they great you with a smile and are always pleasant to deal with. Their portions are nice and large and their hoagie rolls are some of the best I've ever tasted. I also love, love, love their Tuna. More than once at work I've been asked where I got that delicious looking sandwich, Petes deli of course! I always special order and it's never a problem. They have a decent beverage selection with some local ice tea and chocolate milks available and their prices are decent as well. They also offer powerball tickets and scratch off tickets for the lottery if you are interested. They offer breakfast but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Unfortunately they close by 7 during the week so you have to pick up your sandwiches earlier or you're out of luck. Support local businesses with hard workin' folk and instead of eating at Joes just eat at Petes!

I just ate the most amazing burger from this place. You can just walk in and order and they will cook it right up. Only takes about 10-15 min. The roll was fresh, cheese melted to perfection, the fries were pipping hot. And the prices are very reasonable. The staff is super friendly, and know a lot of people by name.
