Good food. A bit pricey. Nice pub atmosphere. Lots of beers on draft and in bottles. Steak was good with blue cheese and mushrooms. Fish and chips excellent.

Ok food, amazing beer!! Complimentary dinner rolls are great too. The food is a little over priced for the quality or quantity But the beers are worth it.

From the outside, this looks like any other average bar and when you walk inside, it's no different. I don't drink, so I can't comment on the large selection of beers, but I do eat and I never expected the food to be this good at a place like this! We got there 10 minutes to 4:00, so technically they were still serving from their lunch menu, but when we asked for the dinner menu, they were happy to oblige. The service overall was great and our waitress was very accommodating with our two children (ages 2 and 6), even asking us if we wanted to place their order right away while we looked over our menu. They do have a kids menu with the traditional items like chicken nuggets, mini burgers, grilled chicken, grilled cheese, etc. They even have some coloring pages to keep the kids entertained. After the complimentary fresh warm rolls, our meals came out. My wife had the crab cakes and I had the Pancetta Stuffed Chicken. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious! Portion sizes were just right--I didn't walk out of there hungry or feeling overly stuffed. They had a small desert selection, but we went for the warm chocolate brownie with 2 scoops of ice cream. The average entree price is $25+ dollars, so it is a bit on the expensive side for a bar/pub, but the food was just terrific. The only downside I saw was that it was a bit dark back where the restrooms are and in the mens room, there were pictures of woman dressed a bit provocatively and one image was of a nude woman exposing her breasts. I'm sure most men wouldn't care, but not the most appropriate images for my children. While I understand that they may not get a lot of kids in there, there were a few other families with younger children there while we were there. In the end, we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely go back the next time we are in the area.

I like to try new restaurants and this was my birthday pick on recommendation from friend. IT WAS AWESOME! My boyfriend had the spicy seafood mac and cheese, I had the crab stuffed portobello mushroom and the duck tacos appetizer. It was definitely pricey but worth what we paid!! Will definitely be back. The one downside was that there were several people at the bar and it was a little loud as there is no separation between bar and dining area. The service was excellent as well.

The place is very inviting. More than it appears from the outside. The food there is always delicious and the specials change frequently. You can tell that the chef takes a lot of time with each dish. The bacon wrapped scallops are my favorite, but don't miss out on the quesadillas or the AMAZING burgers they offer. Staff is friendly. The only "downfall" is the hours. They shut there doors a little earlier than most, but that's really nothing to complain about.

It's good for what it is - a nicer bar in a run-down town. The atmosphere and beer selection was very good, though the prices were very, very expensive (completely unnecessary). A few friends and I actually did not stay for dinner (only grabbed a drink) because of the cost. If you're around the area and can't travel far, by all means stop in and enjoy yourself. However, if you don't mind traveling a bit more, do yourself a favor and explore the outlying area to find much cheaper places. Overall - 3.5/5.

Nice old renovated brick building on the west side of Columbia. Very good server, she was on top of everything, we never needed to ask for refills on the excellent draft beers served on tap. Food was very pricey for the quality and the area. I ordered fish and chips, which appeared to be frozen fillets as the batter was overcooked and the fish was still soft when I bit into it. She ordered a chicken sandwich which had the texture of processed chicken. This is a good place for a beer or drink but I would skip the food. better options in the area.

I can only really comment on the bar, but definitely check it out. They have tons of beer, and even have a "beer bible" to explain different types if you're not a beer person. Staff was attentive, and food smelled good. Just wish it was a little less expensive.

One of my favorite local places to get a nice, casual meal. I highly recommend the ribs......best in the York- Lancaster counties. Service is always great. Atmosphere is slightly dark and quiet. Very relaxing!

I had dinner at this place twice. The first time it was -pretty good. The second time--NOT. It was awful. My hustand was craving the lamb chops he got the first time--they were beautiful, perfecly cooked, yummyl. So on the second visit, he ordered the same thing. But he did not receive what he ordered BY A LONG SHOT. Instead, his "lamb chops" was a single grey slab of a thing with a greyish sauce on it that he could barely cut through or chew, once he sawed his way past some of the fat to what seemed like some sort of odd-tasting meat. He called over the owner, who informed us that this thing was a "better cut of lamb than those chops." But of course, there was no mention of this "special" lamb on the menu. In my wide dining experience, it is an accepted fact that LAMBCHOPS = LAMBCHOPS. And if LAMBCHOPS are on the menu, then that is the cut of meat that has to be served to the customer. DUH! This owner had the nerve to tell us that "everybody else loves them," and that he had to jump quick on this offer from his meat purveyor to get such a great item. Yeah, RIGHT. Both of these silly statements are HUGE challenges to common sense and I didn't and don't for one second believe him about either point. I persisted..... Then Owner dude stars iin on a new tack, blaming on the "chef"--his SON, incidently--who we saw scoot out of the kitchen to glance at us, then shot and back into the kitchen very quickly while we were talking to dear old dad.) I can't imagine that this SO-CALLED chef wouldn't emerge from the kitchen to make things right. It was later in the evening, past the dinnertime rush--there was certainly opportunity for him to speak with us and make things right. What a poor reflection of professionalism and character across-the-board! Meanwhile, i continued complaining, as the owner droned on about how great the garbage we were served was, and that it is delicioius (LOL not HIM eating it of course.... and he declined an offered bite).. Blech! My husband, who had been steadily chewing his FIRST BITE of this crap, lost his patience at last. He mentioned this fact to the owner, spit out the disgusting piece of gristle on a napkin as visual evidence. (My husband is very well-mannered, but was driven to distraction and just HAD to clearly illustrate things in black and whilte for this moron!) At last the owner relented, asked if he wanted something else. Thanks, but no thanks. I had eaten a little of my crab-stuffed mushroom (it was ok, cold, nothing spectacutacular, but edible) so took the rest home, It is ridiculous the energy it took in order to get the point across that a piece of pork shoulder or some elderly old sheep shoulder--is NOT lamb chops. i hope I got through the dumbass's thick head that it is unethical as well to make such "substitutions" without notice. The customer may not ALWAYS be right, but we certainly were in this case. Yuck. TherWith the many nice places to dine in Lancaster, my advice: GO ELSEWHERE! Whatever the heck this thing was.... we will never know!!! On the upside: Pleasant bartender, decent beer selection. (Go for a beer if you want, but I'd definitely steer clear of the ancient old "goodie mix" in wine carafes.... Those dusty things with a million greasy fingerprint smears may be part of the ambience....)

We love Bully's. The bar area is very inviting with a beautiful tin ceiling. The dining area is very nice, too. The bartenders know a lot about the beer and the beer bible is a necessity because there's sooo much to choose from. They also have a great selection of rotating taps. The beer can be on the expensive side. But that's because those super fancy imports ARE very expensive. A case can cost over $50-60. If you like to try different beers from around the world, you'll be very pleased. The food is quality, but I think a little overpriced. The bangers & mash is excellent. Their sliders from the bar menu rock. It's a great place for meeting friends and having a chat over dinner or a beer.

We stumbled across this place after searching for something new between Lancaster and York that had good reviews. I have to say we were very happy with Bully's. The menu is diverse enough, in both price and flavor combinations, that anyone can find something. The food was very tasty. We enjoyed portobello stuffed mushroom (with crab imperial) on top of curry cauliflower, pork (perfectly cooked), steak and a unique sweat and sour tortellini pasta with a little kick. The menu is changed from time to time to reflect some of what is available for the season, including a seasonal salad with grilled peaches, and the menu offers information on where meat was sourced (many items locally - like the buffalo). Our waitress was delightful, helpful and knowledgeable. Bully's offered a very extensive beer selection, both on draft and in bottles. Their drink menu also had a nice variety of wines and even seasonal mixed drinks. This place is gem in Columbia. Well worth the drive. Be sure to make reservations, they got pretty packed at about 7:30.

great restaurant. celebrated friend's birthday here recently and we were impressed that such a cool place exists in columbia. the prices are a bit high and definitely not something we can do all the time but it was a great special treat. friend tried a kind of weyerbacher beer he never had before and loved it. they have an extensive beer "bible" with hundreds of options. beer is expensive...his was about $8 for a glass. i had a drink called purple haze, $10, i wasn't wild about it but then again i rarely drink and should have known better than to get that. food was delicious. for $22 i had twin broiled crab cakes with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. delicious...the crab cakes were done well and the garlic mashed potatoes were honestly the best mashed potatoes i've ever had outside of my mom's kitchen. friend got the $25 grilled lamb with mashed potatoes. his lamb was juicy, flavorful and he loved it. had a balsamic honey glaze on the lamb that was delicious. i mentioned that it was his bday and the server told us we got a free dessert. the cheesecake was out of this world! their pastry chef is the little bakery across the street called the flour child theflourchild.com . definitely going to check this place out. don't forget your coupon for $5 off $30 bill or $10 off $60 from lancaster clipper magazine online.

Had a great lunch today. My Bison burger was cooked as asked, flavorful and lean. My dining companion's panini was also very good, he said. This is a great local bar and restaurant that's worth the drive for those living in York or Lancaster.

Good food, massive beer selection. I don't know anything about beer, but I tried an expensive glass and didn't have a hard time pointing my pinkie in the air and commenting on the succulent aromatics dancing across my tongue. Prices were reasonable and the waitstaff was courteous. Stop by if you love beer and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Decent food, but nothing spectacular. Good atmosphere. Wait staff is a little arrogant. GREAT selection of beer but the cost is way too high. This is a real good place for beer connoisseurs, not so much for beer drinkers. Not only do they have a great selection of beer, but the wait staff know a lot about the beer they sell. The problem is, if you find a beer you like and want to take with you, they really nail you on the price. A six pack that should cost $11-$12 costs $24. Twenty-Four dollars for a 6-pack, is ridiculous. Beer connoisseurs may like the variety, but they'll be insulted by the price and the arrogance.

Nice place; our first visit. Special scallop soup was great. Chilean sea bass and curried cauliflower was wonderful. As for the filet mignon topped with crab and bearnaisse: the meat was great and cooked perfectly; the crab topping was disappointing, as there was a lot of filler. For the price, I would have expected better. Best selection of beer I have seen in the area. Pomegranate martini also fantastic.

What an incredible time during our stay this past May! This is not just a restaurant and pub, Bully's also offers an eleven room Inn. We took a chance on Bully's having never stayed at an Inn before, always hotels, and the decision was one of the best travel options we've ever made. The Inn is brand new with beautiful rooms and spacious baths. The architecture is fantastic. There is a common area kitchen with tables, living room with a 55" wide screen flat panel for nights in, and private entrance into the restaurant and pub. Each room is nicely furnished with some having exposed brick walls (awesome touch), flat panel TVs, cool little fireplaces, and a large bathroom. When waking up from your nights stay, you can go across the street to The Flour Child Pastry and Bake Shop for a continental breakfast........delicious baked goods. The restaurant and pub is UNBELIEVABLE!!! The food is incredible an absolute must eat there. We ate supper here the entire time we stayed. The chefs outdo themselves with the menu offerings. Approx. 155 different beers in the pub, not your average "beer drinking buddy's" beer either. These are what one would say are real beers. Hands down some of THE best beer we have ever consumed. There is a beer bible on hand to educate the layman and I have to say you will need to read it, even if you are a beer connoisseur you must read this, we found it extremely interesting. I for one am not a beer drinker, until now thanks to Bully's. The owner and the staff make you feel right at home. We felt as if we had been going there for years. If we lived in Columbia, PA or had Bully's here at home we would be there frequently. If you are visiting Columbia for the National Association Of Watch and Clock Collectors Museum, Antiquing, or maybe just passing through you must stop, eat and stay at Bully's.
