I order from China King at least 3 times per week and have probably ordered everything on the menu. ÑEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. Every order is fresh and prepared as requested. It's a cash only establishment but judging from the daily crowds this has never been a problem. Guess what...headed there now and this is my 2nd stop this week...it's only Tuesday!!!!

Delicious Food! Great Pricing! I have been a frequent visitor but have not had the time to review. I have tried a number of items off the menu and have yet to be disappointed. My favorite is the sesame chicken which is cooked to perfection with just the right amount of sauce. I am getting hungry just thinking about it lol. Great place!

Typical Chinese Fast Food Resturant. However, Customer Service was great. Had a conversation while waiting for my food with young Asian girl (Beautiful BTW) ... Was sick prior week due to food poisoning so decided to ask her what she would recommend and sure thing; she gave me great advice than to take my money by suggesting the most expensive thing. The food was fresh. The ICE TEA drink was delicious and it was only $1.00. They had other fresh drinks like lemonade and another Red one. It was great being able to communicate with someone who knew English. Its rare to find an establishment where you can speak to them directly. Will come again.. It's nice. Clean. The workers UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. I like it. Why can't Chinese stores in philly be like this? I don't go anymore since I discovered a better place in Glenside PA. I'm mad I ordered an "orange chicken" and it was just some Funky Ass General Tso chicken with orange peelings!! And it cost more. Why??

China King has been in this neighborhood since I was a child, so I grew up on it. The food is delicious and the taste is consistent, which is why this the only Chinese/American Take Out I will ever go to. They don't sell items like cheese fries, pizza fries, and single wings, and their prices are not the cheapest, but they're reasonable and the food is always ready for pick-up fairly quickly. I give it five stars because the food always tastes fresh; the vegetables (I usually have chicken with broccoli) are always fresh, and firmer than other stores i've tasted. They're one of the only food spots in that part of Cheltenham/Melrose Park that is open later (11PM on many days), so when it's late an you're hungry, this is definitely the place to go.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Easy ordering, fast and friendly service, and the food is the best around. It's pretty impressive to see the chefs receive orders on the mic, and crank out the food at lightning speed. I don't think Chinese takeout gets better than this.

Worst Chinese food ever. Tries it a few times over the years. Food is barely edible; wound up throwing most of it away. Never again.

There are 2 types of Chinese food in Philly, authentic Chinese and authentic Chinese take out. Their take out food is by far one of the best and consistent by a long shot. I've never seen a take out do such a high volume of business where they have 4+ chefs, 3 counter people and a microphone system. That really speaks to their quality of food and the repeat customers. Get the fried chicken wings, they are the best around. I even like them more than Soho's double fried Korean wings. Located in a strip mall, there's plenty of parking and they'll have you out of there in 10mins. Order ahead and avoid the wait. Take out only.

I live down the street and I have gone here for years. The food are always quick awesome. Even after the fire they were one of the few that quickly got repaired to get back into business. A star is deducted because I have realized that container sizes have changed and slightly gets smaller (yes we keep them) but what can you expect when times are hard. They will still and always be my go-to.

Excellent value. Egg rolls crisp, flavorful, and definitely NOT oily. Lunch menu has many options - I've tried most of them. ALL delicious!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
