Excellent restaurant! The servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The sushi is delicious and reasonably priced. Also, they always throw in some freebies! The decor is pretty nice too! Glad this place opened up!

How does such an inland place have such superior sushi? I can't speak highly enough of the service and quality at this restaurant. The food was fantastic. The waitstaff was prompt and courteous without hovering uncomfortably, and the chef sent us a Volcano roll free of charge! Delicious! Before dining here, I never really had the ability to appreciate the taste and quality of masago. Decor was a mix of traditional and kind of funky/modern; but the general feel of the place was friendly and clean. Bathrooms were private and there was a baby-changing station in [at least] the women's one. If I weren't an out-of-towner, I'd eat here regularly.

Excellent sushi, the freshest in town. The service was also outstanding, very attentive without hovering. My husband got some sushi to bring home & the waitress not only remembered us (even though I wasn't there) she also remembered what sushi we ate! It had been about 2 months since we had been there because I've been ill yet she still remembered us! I can't stress enough how fresh their sushi is, it consistently exceptional fare. The hibachi is very good as well, but the sushi is the star here. The Godzilla Roll may be a little pricy for some, but it is an excellent roll. The Spider Roll is also quite good, as are the Spicy Hamachi (Yellowtail Tuna) & Unagi (BBQ Eel). If you are looking for incredibly fresh Japanese food that's reasonably priced & graciously served, then you must try Volcano!

Very displeased with the service. The restaurant did not live up to its reviews. We made a reservation before coming and most of us ended up waited an hour and a half for our food to come. Some of us waited more than two hours. They also forgot to bring out the soup and salad which also took more than an hour to arrive. I understand that they may have been short workers but it is unacceptable to make your customers wait that long for their food. One star for the food zero for the service.

Fantastic food and amazing customer service! They have a large selection of rolls to choose from, and the plate presentation is beautiful. We had young kids and the waitresses were incredible with them, even bringing out decorative glow rocks to entertain them. If you like sushi, this has to be your place!

I've been here for lunch, and dinner. I get the maki lunch special once a week, since its a good deal and you can pick any 3 lunch rolls.(and its 2 minutes from my work) The dine in service is great too, no question. The ambiance is nice, but too open for my taste. The food(sushi)I would rate at 3.5 stars overall. It seems good, and fresh. I would rate it higher, but not all of it is that great. I don't know if its the chef(s), but some of the rolls I've had at many other places don't seem quite as tasty here. I generally stick with the same three rolls, and regret trying other ones. I haven't tried more then two of the "chefs" rolls here, so maybe there is a dinner gem I don't know about. I'm happy they're here, and encourage you to try them out!

Whoa! What a wonderful surprise! I'm visiting from California and my sis-in-law took me here! Everything was delish. And our server was perfect. When we placed our order she suggested that we were ordering too much. So we ordered less and still had leftovers to take home. Thanx Volcano!

I was disappointed in Volcano. Their spicy Tuna roll was nothing to write home about. Their hibachi fried rice was okay but the yum yum sauce was awful. After reading so many great reviews, perhaps I should give them another chance. And to anyone who thinks they are pricey, get over it. Volcano's prices are average.

Just tried the sushi at this fairly new restaurant. It was delicious. We started out with the Crazy Volcano roll that was complimentary. (Not sure why but am not complaining) It was awesome. Then we had the Ichiban roll along with the Sunset roll. Presentation was beautiful. And the rolls were amazing!!! Will definitely be frequenting this place often. It is byob and the liquor store is in the same strip mall which makes it convenient to grab a bottle of wine. Our server met us promptly and opened the bottle for us and brought ice to keep it cold. For dessert they brought a cored orange and it was such a delightful ending to our meal as I was stuffed and it was just enough. As mentioned earlier it has not been open long and it was disappointing that there were only two other people dining besides us. I was not disappointed and left thoroughly satisfied and pleased with our decision to eat here instead of Aki which we love. Hopefully the word will get out so this place stays around!! I will be back for sure!!

Excellent Food, Quality, & Excellent Service! BEST PLACE IN TOWN! We (husband/ wife) had the Dragon Roll, Hibachi Shrimp/Chicken, Desert (free) , Appetizer (free), Avocado Salad, Squid Salad, & two drinks for under $48! Nobody in town can compete with this restaurant. I hope they don't change and are around for a long time! We will be back and tell everyone we know about it!

I've been here twice now over the course of a month. Both times, the place has been empty and I cannot figure out why! Yes, for Chambersburg it's a little pricey, but Aki is too and Volcano is much much better. Both times I've gotten the Volcano roll "on the house, on the house" and this past time I got a tempura banana "on the house, on the house". Their dinners are a ton of food for the price, and keep me happy for a long time. All the food I've tried there is fantastic, and service to match. I however think that they won't last more than a year because it's Chambersburg and Chambersburg hates "different" and "expensive" food. Only issue I do have is the music selection, it's very strange. However, enjoying the food too much to actually care. FYI, the same owner owns Oversea Buffet which, while decent for a buffet, isn't comparable at all.

Volcano has the best sushi I have ever tasted. I always have a wonderful experience when I come here. Our waitresses are always so friendly. The price and wait time is always worth it in the end. I always leave with a full tummy of yummy sushi. I personally recommend the crazy stone, the Pennsylvania roll, and the dynamite roll. All the deep fried sushi is amazing tasting! The Shirley temple is an awesome drink as well! I will always love this restaurant! I recommended it to many people I talk to. My aunt, uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, mom, sister, my best friend and even my nephews have tried it and they absolutely love it! I frequent mostly with my sister and my best friend since they both crave it all the time and of course I do too! I am a forever loyal customer! Keep up the awesome work and making that amazing sushi!

My boyfriend and I have converted to being sushi lovers. This restaurant is fantastic. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We never had to worry about running out of drinks or being stuck with dirty dishes for long. The food was excellent both for taste and presentation. I had a butterfly roll (which included a cute flower on top to make it look like a butterfly garden) and my boyfriend had the earthquake roll (which had a mini flashing light to make it look like the plate was shaking- so clever). Neither of us really had sushi before, so we didn't know what to expect. It was so delicious that I wanted to sing! We even got a complimentary appetizer (crazy volcano roll- it even had a candle in the middle- bonus points for creativity) and it was delicious! The best part? This was all under $30 for the two of us!! We've easily spent twice that amount at Red Robin! The food was very filling and we didn't even need dessert, but they brought out a complimentary piece of fruit at the end and it was a great finishing touch to our meal. I seriously recommend this place for any occasion and for their delicious sushi. They even have a rewards card towards a free special roll! We were so impressed that we came back two days later. Keep up the awesome work guys!!!

Again the service was fantastic. I got the sushi and sashimi regular meal. Lots of food and generous proportion sizes of sashimi and nigiri pieces. Fish was delicious and fresh. Very pleased with 2 consistent 5 star experiences now.
