Service was excellent from server (Sam) and manager. $12.99 buy1get1 special through begginning of Oct.. Ask for bread sticks w/o salt. We had ravioli, ziti, smoked chicken, and fetuchini Alfred. Scenery is wonderful in this area. Restaurant can be seen from 81, easy on amd easy off. Atmosphere inside nice, quiet, and Italian.

Not at all impressed. I thought it was going to take an act of God and congress combined when it was time to pay the check. Waited about 10 minutes for the server to pick up the payment, she never returned. I then went up to the register to pay, no one had a key to the register, this took 5 minutes. I was instructed to return to the table and wait for the server to return. Another 10 minutes...finally she returned, took the payment...5 minutes later she returned with my receipt and change. The change was all in 10 dollar bills. Back to the register again for change so I could leave the appropriate tip, 15%...once again couldn't get anyone with a key for the register. It took longer to pay the check and leave a tip then it took to eat the meal. OG also has a current special Buy One, Take One...the one to go, well the following day when it was time for lunch, I discovered it wasn't what I ordered, guess I should have checked it before I left the restaurant. I know the next time a server plays the large bill change game, there will be no tip. It doesn't matter what establishment it is. As far as the quality of the food and service...I've had better at other locations.

It's a typical olive garden. I was disappointed as usual at this chain, I had a poorly made Alfredo sauce that had separated. I should have just stuck to soup and salad, can't go wrong with that. The wait staff was friendly enough and the food came out quickly...no waiting around. Not terrible but not great 3 stars.

Huge restaurant means short wait time......on this point I am a fan. Food quickly brought to my table.....once again I am a fan. Good tasting warm food brought quickly by a friendly server.......need I say more? You folks who fell for the 'authentic Italian food' claim and then come here to complain make me chuckle....hehehehehe, yeah YOU funny people. Spicy Calamari...it was spicy only because there were pepper rings breaded and tossed in otherwise, not so much. Salad.....endless, fresh, with cheese :) Bread sticks.....nothing to write home about but not yucky either. Tour of Italy ....the smoked bacon sauce was spicier then my fella liked. I had a taste and it definitely had a spicy kick avoid it if you are the sensitive type. Steak Toscano...med well, very tasty without A-1Rubbed with rosemary :) Vanilla Ice cream.....good Tiramisu.....lacking coffee liquor :/ Frozen milk...amaretto drink.....lacked {{kick}}.....stick with wine and don't waste 7.00 on a lack luster drink. What I HATED.....the lady's' room was in the far left hand corner of the restaurant with only three stalls. I suspect it was clean because no one could find it. Impeding servers making my way to the ladies room didn't make me happy.

People in the C-burg area were excited to have an Olive Garden in town. Me, I couldn't care less. It's never been an exciting place for me. Never tasted like authentic Italian. I spent a week in Italy, so I know something about authentic Italian... Regardless, I did try it out for lunch one day, mainly because my mom suggested it and was buying. It didn't impress me. The salad was a joke. You can go about anywhere else and get better. Iceburg lettuce should be banned from such an establishment. Yes, it had some Romaine, but if I'm going to a restaurant, I want some spring greens, spinach...not a bowl of white and light green with a few bits of dark green. Sad. The tomato slices were few and far between, a few olives...still sad. The soup tasted good, but wasn't hearty as I thought it should be. Very "brothy". Not a word, but I'm making it a word... They had just a few soups to choose from, and only one was something that suited me. Inside it was packed. It was lunch time and lots of people had flocked here, for some reason. It was loud and felt crowded. Our service was slow, despite the fact that it was just soup and salad. Server was friendly enough, though. This Olive Garden is in a great location for those living in C-burg, or traveling through. So it's got that going for it. Save your money and go somewhere else. I've not had a raving Olive Garden experience yet, and I feel like the quality in general has only worsened over the years, while prices keep going up.

Disappointing Went here for our Anniversary. Staff seated us in the back away from any life except for a bunch of senior citizens (who stared at us like we were circus freaks... There were tons of seats in main area... So why put us in there where the elderly glowered at my husbands tattoos and made us uncomfortable?) As for food....My food was ok, our server was nice, BUT...my husband had the calzone...and they should be shot for presenting such a joke... The pepperoni was possibly rancid, and it looked like a hot pocket. It was small, hard, and gross... And expensive, for what it was. Italians everywhere would mock the "calzone" and those daring to present it as one. We will not be back.

Any disappointment over the hype of an "authentic Italian" is misplaced here. Meaning, Italy is literally across an ocean on a different continent, therefore our expectations for authenticity should not be so very high. For what it's worth, this Olive Garden is good at representing Italian culture and cuisine within the context of its South Central Pennsylvania location. I choose this restaurant regularly, and I have had experiences here that were better than others but that doesn't take away from the value of the place. Highlights: The salad is delicious, the pumpkin cheesecake dessert was like Fall falling in love with me, and the people are pleasant (and that's not the sweet moscato talking).

This location has been open a few months and is still experiencing the new restaurant volume of business. I've visited twice and both times had a wait even though there were vacant seats available. First time, server was attentive, and food was average. I had salad and soup which was not as good as in other Olive Gardens. I dismissed it as early in the day and the soups didn't have time to cook down. Second visit, I ordered my favorite - Mixed Grill. The steak was over cooked and dried out as well as the chicken. The menu states it will be medium unless requested differently. It is also to come with a demi glaze which was none existant. When I spoke to the manager, I was told that the glaze is too salty so they only put a small amount on. I'm in no hurry to return to this location.

Food was mediocre at best, fettuccini Alfredo tasted like the stuff you get from a microwave meal, I have had much better at non-Italian restaurants. The server took nearly 10 minutes to take the drink order and we spent most of the meal awaiting refills. Just because a lot of people eat here and the parking lot is full most evenings obviously doesn't mean the food is all that great. I was extremely disappointed and my first visit will now also be my last.

This is a pretty new location. But as always the staff were great. My friends and I arrived with a pretty large group of people with no reservation and there wasn't ample seating at the time. The hostess worked very hard to find a place but in the end we settled on the bar. The bartender was attentive (however busy) and was very friendly. She also have us a lot of wine to sample (on the house) which was incredibly kind. The food at OG is always very tasty and mine this time was no exception. Endless salad and bread sticks is always fun as well. This is a great location for an OG and it's easy to get to off the interstate.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
