the food here is pretty good. I've been here a handful of times and they're nice. and food is always hot. my hubby got lo mein one time with his order and it smelled really nasty after he reheated in the microwave and I called them up and told them and they offered to make me new noodles . so far so good.

We were looking for a Chinese restaurant that could accommodate us all, and decided to give China Wok a try. Although they were unwilling to substitute tofu for the meat on the lunch specials (which really doesn't make much sense to me) we went ahead and ordered from the regular menu since it was a miserable day and we were tired of driving around looking for something to eat. We ordered Szechuan tofu and General Tso's tofu, and I have to say it was some of the most delicious and perfectly prepared tofu I've ever had. Absolutely wonderful, and the veggies and sauce were excellent also. If we could have gotten a lunch special order, there would have been five stars. Don't go here for ambiance, go for the food.

I love their food, I love coming in after calling in an order and they know me on sight... Very nice staff who know their regulars. They are accommodating, I like spicy gen. Tso chicken AND they make it that way for me. Their lo mein has a nice flavor, and if I had any critisism, it would be to give just a tad more sweet and sour sauce with your order.

Walked in to order food and they were power washing the grill with a gas powered engine, inside!!! The whole place smelled of exhaust fumes! Quickly told them this should not be done, turned around and left! Could not believe they were doing this!

The General Tso's Tofu and Szechuan Tofu were really good. For the food rating, it's 5 stars but the ambiance is maybe 2 stars (little strip mall location, order at counter, paper menu). The service was maybe a 2 for me as they were not very friendly and were not accommodating. Not very customer oriented-kurt and a little rude. Not willing to accommodate us. We visited here when in PA from out of state for a family funeral. When we went in the place was completely empty so you'd think a family coming in to order a bunch of meals would make them happy since they had a bunch of kitchen staff just standing around. Our entire family is vegetarian. They have Szechuan chicken or beef on the lunch menu and Szechuan tofu on regular menu but refused to substitute it on lunch menu for us. Gave us the excuse that they have to cook it fresh - aren't all meals cooked when you order them? Personally, I was ready to go elsewhere but other family was hungry so we went ahead and ate here.

China Wok, you were my one true love. I'm sorry it didn't work out, but I had to leave. Chambersburg just didn't have what it took to keep me...well, except for you and your cheese wontons.

For the most part their food is fresh. They are good and delivery is pretty good. The other China Wok sucks. I have gotten sick from their food. These guys here are right on and as fare as I can see except they don't give as much food as the other China Wok. However the other China Wok food no one should eat unless you want saminila poisioning. These guys are pretty good.

Ok, it's American Chinese but it is Chambersburg so beggars can't be choosers. This is the only Chinese restaurant that I will go to when I am in town and I have to say the owners have alot to do with it. They are a young couple that have worked hard and it has paid off for them. This place is always busy on the weekends and business isn't bad during the weekdays either. I tend to get the shrimp chow fun when I order from here but most of their food is pretty good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
