We went to the Skyline for dinner a few nights ago and it was the first time I had been there in 30+ years, so I had no idea what to expect. As it turned out, the people were incredibly friendly, the service was very good and the food was delicious. Across the four of us, we sampled a large section of the menu. The sandwiches/burgers were nicely sized, prepared exactly to order and quite good. Our drinks were kept topped up and the atmosphere, while noisy, was very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

Great local tavern. You can get together for a drink or meal with friends, bring your family in for a quick dinner or have some drinks at the bar. Divider btw bar side and dining room side--lots of folks bring their kids, so definately good for families. Several large screen TVs on both sides for your viewing pleasure. Warm, friendly atmosphere, good food, lots of beer choices and a bartender that will mix up anything else to your taste. My favorites are the best fries EVER, cheesesteaks with all right toppings, wings, etc. Nightly specials and reasonable prices. Recommended!!!

Loved the homey atmosphere! There are two parts to the place, one with booths and tables and the second with a big bar. The menu has tons of options that could fit anyone's taste and it's not too overwhelming. I loved my turkey mashed potato plate, which is a Tuesday night special and the grilled cheese was great as well. The best part was the quizzo which started at 7:30, and everyone is welcome to play. There are 4 rounds so people could jump in and out. I loved the cozy atmosphere and could see why this is a local favorite. Will come back! However, the only issue is that there is no dessert! Like literally! Not even a cookie or an ice cream dallop! But the waitress assured me they are working on it...whewww

Had not been there in a while. Looks like they did a little renovation - New furniture, increased lighting, and some more TV's. Looks nice. Lizzy was still there and recognized me. Service was pleasant and quick. Lizzy came back to check several times. It was lunch time, and she was running the bar and serving. She covered it effortlessly I had the Buffalo Chicken sandwich. Just the right amount of heat, and the roll was fresh. My Colleagues also enjoyed their lunch. Looks like the Skyline is back on the list.

Food is good but the kitchen closes earlier than it used to... Wait service sucks too. Place has gone down hill since Petri took over.

What drew me to the Skyline were the good reviews on Yelp, so the hubs and I went there one Monday evening. Skyline is in a little strip mall building in Chalfont. I was slightly unnerved by what I saw outside - quite a few motorcycles and people sitting on the curb by the entrance, smoking cigarettes - but we went in. The inside is very typical of a small town-y bar/restaurant (not in a bad way - just saying it's what most people would expect, I think). We sat at the bar that night and had a few beers and some food (wings, cheesesteak, skyline fries - basically crab fries). We both very much enjoyed the food. Bartender was very nice. Did get a few kinda loud people nearby (seemed like regulars), but they disappeared every 15 minutes or so to go outside and smoke, so we had breaks from their loudness. Came back a few weeks later for cheeseburger night (Thursday, I think...) and our cheeseburgers were great. The waitress was attentive and very nice. Quieter on the restaurant side, which I liked, though we could still hear the really loud "regulars" on the other side at the bar. I can swear like a sailor myself, but this chick was making me uncomfortable with all the f-bombs and other salty language. So, TL;DR synopsis - great food, decent selection of beer (draft and bottle), nice specials on different nights of the week. Some "characters" at the bar frequently, but other than being loud and a little salty, nothing overtly offensive or rude. If the food was just average, we wouldn't go back, but the food is worth it.

So, this place was my jam. I started coming with my mom and some friends when I moved to the area at age 16 (it was still owned by the Pooles). We'd go to trivia (when scrappy was hosting), we'd go for the food (very good bar food at the time) and we'd go for the people. Carol, our usual waitress got to know us and became like an extended member of our family, updating us on her life and family while asking (and rememvering)details of our lives as we saw her each week. Scrappy, was always charmingly sly, with a quick wit and a great sense of humor while making it extremely welcoming for all. As I got older, and became legal age, it became tradition to go once or twice a week for the food specials and for perhaps one too many drinks. They never gouged the prices or charged you $8 for a lager, they made a good mixed drink and it was a comfortable environment. Ownership changed, and so came menu and quality changes. For awhile, it seemed to be a bit of a struggle, but we mustered through and kept our chins up, our hopes high and our bills (and number of shots consumed ) higher. Transitioning of a business can be rough, but change is good and can be necessary for a business to survive. The food quality went down to a point where we found ourselves going more infrequently and perhaps being a bit butthurt, I couldn't get into the new trivia host (she was nice as could be but I guess I'm old, bitter, and set in my ways at 25). We went a few times over the next few months but found the food on the new, sprawling menu to be lackluster, had some undercooked boneless wings, and saw less and less of carol. Color me sad (qhich I guess would be blue). We stopped going all together despite being within walking distance. No more nights of shots, friends and a confusing morning the next day.. thankfully we found much had changed when we went a few weeks ago. The new wait staff (ago cheerful brunette lad of perhaps 18 or 19) was attentive without being overbearing, the food had improved and the drinks were good. The interior had been updated a bit (in a good way, it made the ambiance nicer despite the brighter, unflattering lighting ), the booths a little bit more plush and comfortable and we were quite happy with life. What sealed the deal and started winning back my affections...? I have a sweet spot for deserts and sweets. Carol would always pop in a few chocolate chip cookies for us at the end of the night, but with staff changes we had been denied our sweet ending on a few occasions. This strapping young lad, brought us each a warm cookie right out of the oven and did so with a smile and without question..despite being well into our 20s (and one of us in his 3os, hehe), the little things like this make a huge difference in our perception and reception of an establishment..if our next few visits go in the same direction, you may have four alumni become regulars yet again!

Been living in SoCal for the last year, I had to come here on my visit home for the weekend to get a cheesesteak. The food is pretty banging and the for the price, you get a lot. Plus, beers are cheap too.

I decided to take the extended family (nine of us in total) to Skyline due to its location near to my daughter's performance today. I know you shouldn't ever judge a book by its cover, but based on the external appearance, I honestly wasn't expecting much. When we walked in, there was a good crowd at the bar and everyone kind of gave us a "you don't belong here" look. I didn't have high hopes. Since there wasn't a hostess stand, I likely did look a little confused. After a few minutes standing & looking around - with the entourage behind me - the bartender told us to feel free to pick our own seats in the dining room. I asked if it would be ok to push some tables together and she said yes. We settled in and a waitress quickly appeared with menus. There was a good variety of typical pub fare and the waitress filled us in on the specials. I was pleased that everyone (ranging in age from 9 - 69) quickly found something that appealed to them. We ordered two appetizers - onion rings & hot wings - and a variety of meals including the kids mac-n-cheese, a patty melt, hamburger, BBQ chicken sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, a couple of cheesesteaks, and the fish & chips. I am pleased to report that EVERYONE truly enjoyed their meals. I was the one picking up the tab, and when I saw the bill, I couldn't believe that everyone was happy and I had spent less than $100 (pre tip - over $100 with a well-deserved tip). I can definitely see us returning, and maybe next time we won't look so cluelessly out of place (or perhaps they'll consider getting a "seat yourself" sign in the meantime!).

When I loved up to Chalfont, I was on the search for a new hang out bar, similar to Sandy's Roast Beef in Oxford Valley. A place that is welcoming, friendly, has good drinks and great food. When a few friends started going here for Quizzo, I came along and I've been hooked ever since. I'm here every Tuesday for trivia, beer and great food. The wings are hot but with flavor. The burgers are really good, I had the Smokehouse Burger just last week and I couldn't finish, it was so big! Fried green beans are also a favorite. Very friendly staff, clean bathrooms, lots of TV's, just an all around good establishment. I'll bring friends and family here for years to come.

We found the Skyline here on Yelp. We eat there every week and have never had a bad meal. Whatever you take home with you tastes just as good the next day. The soups are always great. Everything is good. The only problem is sometimes the music gets a little loud on the bar side, but we are so used to it now, we don't even notice it.

Great neighborhood tavern. Solid food, great selection of beer and outstanding bartenders! The wings are outstanding and they have one of the best cheesesteaks in the area!

I really like the Skyline, its a nice little dive bar in a strip mall and it does one hell of a business. It's really a big time local Chalfont hang, people are friendly and if you grew up in the area you'll always bump into some old friends. Not to mention they have a great kitchen, that as far as I know is open till 12 if not later. It's one of the only places in the Chalfont area where you can get a cheese steak with whiz on it. The weeknights are great cause they always have a special going. The beer is cold, the company's good, the food is delicious and the juke box is jumping, what more could you ask for in a local bar? Oh whats that? Yeah they have plenty of TVs around so you can watch the game.
