We we're in Carlisle for about 2 weeks and went to the Pizza Grille twice! We had the same great server both times and were given a generous military discount. It's a cute little restaurant and if you ever find yourself in Carlisle be sure to make a trip! My favorite pizza that I tried was the Chicken BLT. So yummy!

First, the food is very good. Second, we were there at an "off" time- mid afternoon. BUT. Our order was wrong (waiter did offer to get a new one, but after 15 minutes I was too hungry.) Then there were people going in and out but not eating. Maybe employees checking on schedules or something, just a little disconcerting. Then I noticed a food preparer in arm sling and cast using the cast hand to prep food. Not cool. (From medical experience I know you can't sterilize those bandages.) Next, a new employee just walked in and changed the music channel from "oldies" to new pop. Again, disconcerting. I noticed he went straight to preparing food, but I didn't see him wash hands either. Finally, after about 20 minutes with no contact from waiter, I went to the kitchen to ask for boxes. Employees were huddled behind storage bins in the back, so I asked if I should just get my own boxes. The waiter then reappeared, muttered something about "not realizing you were in a hurry", and then realized I was truly unhappy at this point. He said he would pay for the meal, since we "appeared not to have the best time". As he disappeared again, he shouted over his shoulder "just don't go into our kitchen again!" Needless to say, no danger. We won't be back. However, reading other reviews, I hope our mistake was timing. Many reviewers seem to have had good or great experiences. For us, though, the food was not worth the hassle.

Pizza, burgers, appetizers, endless beverages, indoor and outdoor seating, fair prices, friendly staff. Perfect college-area eatery. Well done!

July 18th, 2015. I stopped by for lunch today. Stacey served the Melange Salad, chopped Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes, White Tuna, tossed in a Balsamic Vinaigrette with Pizza Bread and the San Pellegrino sparkling water. Cost was $8.20 for the food. Food was excellent! The Germans would say, "Ausgezeichnet!"

Love this place! My two coworkers and I came here three days in a row. I got the Fruit&Nut Salad with grilled salmon and every day it was delicious! Their pizzas look amazing too but we did not try those. Really great place for lunch

We ate here once and had a very pleasant meal. The atmosphere is bright and open/modern, and the food is very fresh. I'm mostly reviewing how amazing the customer service is. I called to buy a gift certificate for a Dickinson student. Every year I buy a few gift certificates from places in Carlisle, and the experience with Pizza Grille was phenomenal. They bent over backwards to make sure I received the gift certificate safely and quickly. Kudos to Angel and her manager - thank you again!

Had the chopped salad this time. Very good and was just enough for lunch. This one seems newer than the Lemoyne one. Sign said under new management, not sure what that meant. Oh well, we all enjoyed our food.

This place is bright and cheery. That have a large variety of items on the menu. From seafood, pizza, pasta and sandwiches. A large number of salad choices from a chopped salad to a grilled pork tenderloin salad. I had the blacked scallop caesar. The scallops were fresh, not from the ocean, but they hadn't been sitting around for a couple days either. The salad greens are cut too small for my taste, a spoon would have worked better than the fork, but it was fresh and plenty of it. The Pizza Grille is worth a try. I'll sample the pizza next time round.

The pizza was delicious and the variety is incredible! Even the small pizzas could feed 2 people. If I went with multiple people, I would suggest ordering multiple kinds to share amongst the group. We also tried the butter nut squash ravioli appetizer and it was really good. The place was pretty full for a weekday lunch, but the service was attentive and the waitresses helped each other out. I would definitely go back!

I have dined at Pizza Grille's various locations and have always enjoyed my meals from lunch to dinner. We have been recently dining at the Carlisle location due to it being close to our house. Our past dining experience I got the steak salad and my wife tried the gluten-free pizza. I enjoyed my salad and my wife loved her pizza.

Went here a little late last night. There were 5 in our group of course we all ordered something different. The decor here isn't like the other Pizza Grilles it is set in an Industrial Ambience from the foors to the walls the tables are stanless the chairs wire mesh . The staff friendly and attentive as could be only onewaitress on but she was helped a bit by the cook staff. B.Y.O.B. here for now but I think they will looking to place one here in the near future. The food was served hot and good evrybody was happy with their meals from a chicken chease steak and meatball hoagies to the hawiian pizza and the blacken scallops ceasar salad and the bowls of red seafood chowder. Not a bad experience for a first visit to this Pizza Grille in Carlisle.

My family has been devoted to the Pizza Grille for many many years, before a Carlisle location has opened. We were thrilled to know there would be our favorite restaurant so close to home! That being said, this location has done nothing but give us terrible service. There are only two excellent servers at this location, and if you don't have them you are in trouble. We had the PLEASURE of having Rhonda as our server today. She would not tell us the specials, she spoke very short with us and was maybe one of the most unwelcoming people I have met in quite some time. She wouldn't smile, offer suggestions, and acted as though we were doing a disservice by being in the restaurant. Although this was overlooked and we ate our food (which was good), we went to pay and our card was declined... (not that this is relevant but there was a fraudulent lock on my card, it wasn't a lack of funds) she lays the card down, and says "this was declined." and walked away. When I asked her to try it again she goes to the hostess stand (which is two feet from us) and tries to run it again all the while rolling her eyes and shaking her head. Totally unacceptable. Having a card declined is stressful enough, but being treated as though you don't have enough money is way worse, when you know as a person that typically that is not always the issue when a card comes up as declined. She never thanked us for coming in, nothing. There have been many other instances when we haven't had up to par service as well, and every time we order out here, our order is consistently wrong. The food is good, but not good enough to risk having her as a waitress again. We need a new place to go, and we will be sure to find one.

I wasn't a big fan of this place the first time I went. The pizza was good enough but that was it. My major problem with it was that their pizza just seemed to be bread with cheese. I couldn't really savor any of the toppings. It seemed as if the cheese just suffocated it. Despite this assessment, I figured I'd be even less of a fan now that I stopped eating dairy. Boy was I wrong. I decided to forego my normal pizza topping staple of artichokes for something else. I eyed the mushroom trio for a long time but eventually settled on the roasted vegetable pizza sans the cheese. What a great pie! It tasted so much better without the cheese. The flavor of the vegetables and the oil it was roasted in was able to shine through a lot better. The veggies became the star instead of some two bit, backup actor that is buried beneath a mound of cheese. It was an extremely flavorful pie. It got me wondering...would their other veggie pies taste as good without the cheese? I'm going to have to return to find out.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
