Great breakfast and service. The eggs on the eggs Benedict were cooked perfectly. The Nutella French toast was amazing. Coffee was topped off regularly.

Delicious spot to stop for lunch on my way up I-81, that I found thanks Yelp. After seeing the cakes when I walked, I convinced myself to get a salad for my meal to save room. The salad was really great (apple cider chicken), though the Thatta burger sounded amazing (topped with fried pickles and bacon?! What?!). So the cake was delicious. Period. I got the carrot cake and my friend got the chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Seriously amazing. The service was good and the restaurant was nice and clean. I would definitely go back or recommend to those traveling in or through the area.

So disappointing. I called my order in for pick up since me and my hubby are sick. Once I got home with our food I noticed my strawberries and cream French toast did not have strawberries and whip cream on top like its suppose to. I ordered this because I wanted the strawberries. Next while eating I got a sharp pain in my mouth which turns out to be a piece of sharp wood or toothpick that was in my food. This was our first time trying this place and was totally disappointed. Probably won't be back.

Stopped in for lunch today and was very pleased...as I walked in I was lured to the display case showing some great looking deserts and was greeted by a extremely nice hostess. The lunch menu consisted of a few appetizers with a wide variety of salads, burger, wraps, flatbreads and sandwiches. All of these items were listed at a very reasonable price. Our group started out with the crab chips, which consisted of homemade chips, cheese and of course crab meat. The chips were super crunchy, and the cheese was melted perfected with pretty of crab meat to go around. I ordered a ranch flatbread, while the others in my group ordered turkey clubs, chicken tenders and some grilled cheeses (for the kidos). Everything looked and smelled good...and the portions were good sized. I finished up with some tiramisu, which was very good. As far as the restaurant, there was plenty of parking. The inside had a modern feel with a touch of local diner. The staff was super friendly. Overall I was very happy with decision to stop in for lunch and I look forward to stopping for breakfast and dinner in the near future.

Stopped on our way home from the midwest. Had June as our server...she was amazing! So sweet and efficient. We had the 10 for $10 specials that are offered between 3-5 on Tuesday - Thursday. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The chicken was a slight bit overcooked, but the mashed potatoes and gravy were delicious. Our party also had the haddock (very tasty), lasagna (yummy), and spinach salad (dressing was a bit sweet). All in all, it was a good meal with great service!

My wife and I go here quite a bit, it is one of our favorite restaurants in carlisle. Been here for breakfast and dinner, both have been very good. Love the house dressing, it is a very unique Apple cider vinaigrette. Prices are pretty reasonable as well, most of the dinners are under $20 and breakfast is under $10

Disappointed in food all together. Another restaurant supporting Sisco Foods...they don't even make their own salad dressings (except one) according to my waitress. I ordered a sandwich with a specialty cheese in it that turned out to be a processed cheese flavored like brie - really? Service was great but I won't be going back. I don't want to support Sisco - I want to support house made, fresh, yummy. The restaurant was full of about 70% senior citizens which seemed to be regulars - so that is a great thing : )

Steve and Cindy are great people. Really care about your experience and how satisfied you are and always willing to stop and say hi. A few friends, a couple bottles of wine and you will have a great time. Never had a issue with the wait time and the staff are very polite and helpful. Have been here several times and will go back. They will accommodate gluten free eaters also, you just need to ask.

Was here on New Year's Eve with family and friends a party of six. Charming little place in Carlisle on Old York Rd. This decor is mostly booths yet this place is trying to make it's own personality shine through and distinguish itself from the previous owners by serving a higher level of cuisine. Anyone that truly know's me knows I am going to be the one to try something different when we go out so of Course i found the GRAND MARNIER DUCK BREAST Pan seared duck breast accompanied by orange infused wild rice with cranberries. Accompanied by a dinner salad.... This is a truly must try if you get the opportunity to do so. great flavor and the skin was cooked crispy but not burnt or tough. The rice and had a delicate flavor of orange and didn't over burden the dinner or take away from the flavor of the Duck. Two In our party had HADDOCK Broiled or fried wild caught traditional haddock filet. Served with choice of two sides. My Sister had CRAB CAKES Signature blend of crabmeat and seasonings make these "Maryland style" crabcakes melt in your mouth! Broiled to perfection. Served with your choice of two sides Her Husband enjoyed BEEF TIPSTender sirloin beef tips sautéed with mushrooms & onions. Accompanied by Yukon gold mashed potatoes. My Nephew's Choice was Chicken Parmasean and a healthy serving of Penne. I must say that the Portions for all our meals were a health serving and I do recommend that you try this quaint little restaurant if your in Carlisle. Service was extrordinary. Only Fault but not really BYOB so check out their menu on line and Bring a bottle or two to have with your meal.

Try Sunday brunch here and enjoy a fantastic variety of fresh baked goods. Or try one of three different kinds of eggs Benedict I recommend the seafood lovers-its very good! Substitutions are never an issue and the Nutella stuffed French toast provides precious silence from your kids when you order it!

Meh. Ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese & summer squash and sage infused sauce was really Ravioli stuffed with a tiny bit of winter squash with some sage butter on it. Also a mound of winter squash as a side. Why are they saying it's summer squash? The homemade blue cheese dressing was mayo and a tiny bit of BC . The apple chicken salad was tedious. Tons of iceberg lettuce. Ho Hum. Four pieces of almonds and 4 crumbles of blue cheese. If this was DC it would be a D+.. I guess for Carlisle it might be considered a B. Best to cook at home/hotel room... Or stick with Bob Evans. Yah.. I did say that.

This team is excellent. Momma Spriggs recently catered an outdoor wedding at my families home. The staff was on top of everything. They were polite, friendly, and didn't require a lot of direction. They just took charge and made everything perfect. I was really impressed with their presentation. Not only did all the appetizers taste great, they looked amazing as well. On the top of the great service, the food was absolutely fantastic. The pulled pork was my favorite, but everyone was also raving about the pasta bar. I would highly recommend Momma Spriggs to cater your special event. They really put their hearts into it.

Stopped by on a whim last night for my wife's birthday, and we were quite pleased. Momma Spriggs is currently running a seafood theme along with the regular menu, and it is quite good. We shared the clam diggers appetizer, which features fried clams with a homemade ancho chipotle sauce. The flavors were quite good together. The homemade bread is also delicious. For our main meal, my wife got a salmon steak with a bacon bourbon BBQ glaze, and I tried the fish fry (flash fried in a Yuengling batter). Both were very good, but I was slightly disappointed with the tartar sauce, which was out of a jar instead of being homemade. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, all the staff is friendly and pleasant (just looking around you can tell they're in a good mood) and they treat you well. Not my first visit, and always a great experience. We'll be back!

This is always a favorite spot for lunch. I am a huge fan of the pulled pork sandwich. Fast/Friendly service. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. There is something for everyone on the menu. (Chocolate cake w/ peanut butter frosting was great.)

I ordered the chicken quesadilla for my son and a Ruben for myself. Both were adequate, but nothing special. The meat was put on rye in a large stack and was tough to chew. My waitress seemed too. rushed to even stop by to check on us. She'd walk by talking to me so I'd have to turn my head to follow her or even respond. When I did have a request I got tired of shouting after her and just spoke straight ahead, she had to turn around and come back to ask me again. I did notice that the waitress for the table across from me was much better at her job. I'd recommend driving to Cafe 101 in Boiling Springs for a better meal.

During a recent visit to south central PA I made a point of stopping in to Momma Spriggs for dinner. I planned to meet friends from the local area and couldn't think of a better place. Cindy and Steve run a great Resteraunt. The food is awesome and the service is friendly. If you are a fan of good home made deserts stop by and see what Cindy has created. My only regret was that I wasn't able to be there on Friday night for the fish fry. Amazing is all I can say.

Ate here while visiting my grandparents in Carlisle. One of their absolute favorite places, they couldn't stop raving about it, so we went. They love the waitress Meg(?) and ask for her every time they come. She wasn't working when we went, but we were treated like family anyway. The owner came over to the table to chat and joke with us. His son, who was our server, was extremely attentive. I should have taken a picture of the Surf'n'Turf Salad I ordered, the skewer of shrimp stuck out of the Romaine stalk like a sailboat. It was pretty impressive looking, and tasted phenomenal, really good steak. Gramps got the Johnny Appleseed burger, which was spot on as well. All in all a 5 star experience.

We found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to eat here because of the reviews. We were not disappointed! The menu was varied, and it all sounded so delicious that we had a hard time deciding what to get. We settled on the Johnny Appleseed burger, the Attaboy burger, and the Classic Chicken Cobb Salad. Excellent, all of them. I had the salad, and it was so tasty with the apple cider vinaigrette dressing suggested by our waitress, June. The service was great. The atmosphere was nice, with instrumental music playing, and only one tv in view at the bar (very nice not to have tvs everywhere). The prices were good - each of our meals cost $9-$11. This restaurant is well worth the visit!

Experienced this place for the first time this morning for breakfast. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Our waitress was extremely pleasant and the decor was a definite step up from the usual diner atmosphere or extreme bric-a-brac of some of the chains. We will definitely return, as we spend a good bit of time shopping in Carlisle.

Last two times I was in Momma is now offering a low price eggs, toast and home fries breakfast special under $2. Staff always friendly and on the ball. I need to get here to try their lunch and dinner menu.

First time we ate here-- great experience. We chose from the traditional comfort foods and tried the meatloaf and the chicken pot pie--yum. Great service--very large portions--I brought half of it home with me. Highly recommend this charming restaurant for the atmosphere and the delicious, beautifully plated food.

I've been to Momma Spriggs a handful of times and I've yet to be impressed. The times I've dined there, the servers were the definition of polite, but the wait times left much room for improvement. Personally, the food does not justify the premium prices they charge. The quality is on-par with a chain restaurant and the portions are inconsistent from dish to dish, but tend to err on the side of too little. That said, they do have a fantastic selection of bakery items and desserts. I'd skip the dinner and just go for a nice dessert.

Very nice--more upscale than the "diner" vibe in the last two restaurants that occupied this location, but still a reasonably priced family restaurant. Service, decor, food, all very good for the price. We visited on a Sunday after 11 am and found that only the dinner menu was being offered--a clear indication--along with changes to the decor--that this was no longer a "breakfast 24 hours" kind of place. Service and atmosphere all very good. They are obviously working hard to make a good impression on first time customers. The burgers look great, but we chose the chicken and salmon dishes (pics posted). Again, food very good for the prices (~15ish, as I recall). We will have to visit again and see how the lunch options stack up. I don't think they have a liquor license and I didn't see a clear indication they you can BYOB. The dessert options were very limited, but hopefully that will improve over time. According to the reviews posted on a different site, the food at breakfast and lunch are equally good. All in all, looks like a good start and we will definitely be back.

there is way better food in the carlisle pa area...their food is okay. i would stop here if i were desperate. although, i think if i were that i'd go for fast food first before this place and i rarely eat fast food.

It's a newer restaurant and it got three stars for the following reasons: 1) The wait time was very long for our food to come out. It was a Sunday, before the church crowd hit and wasn't busy, but it was a good 30 plus minutes before the food started to arrive and with seating and ordering we were at about 50 minutes at that point. 2) The food was all very good BUT they should be serving real butter instead of fakey chemical butter spread. I'm a member of the whole foods movement where I would rather have a little bit of the real stuff, than any sort of franken butter cross my lips. 3) Breakfast potatoes are definitely trying to be gourmand, but were pretty greasy (buttery and gloppy) and for my own palate, a bit too much on the rosemary. I'm a purist for real shredded hash brown but this wasn't a deal breaker. 4) Syrup was in individual cups but for the quality of the pancakes, heated syrup would be the way to go. That being said, we will definitely return. It's the little things, but this place has the potential to be in the top two best breakfast places in town. Loved the wheatberry toast offering, omelettes light and fluffy, crabs benedict??? awesome, and the pancakes... sweat cream....in the pancake...nuff said. :)

We are regulars here and we love it! The food is much better than the regular diner fare around the area and the atmosphere is 100xs better. I HIGHLY recommend breakfast on Sunday morning. The eggs are light and fluffy and the boyfriend always raves about the eggs benedict. Yum yum yum!

The food was very good, but the service left a little to be desired here. Initially they were right on top of it getting our first drinks and the food arrived very quickly. Then our waitress went MIA. She didn't stop back until we were practically finished the meal to check on drinks and took quite awhile to bring the bill. Overall was pretty quick, but I don't like to have to chase a server to pay.

First time to visit with the new owners in place and i was pleasantly surprised! Clean, neat, and very appealing decor. Definitely makes it look like a very upscale restaurant. Food- I had the Salmon and it was excellent, side salad excellent, coleslaw excellent! Grandsons cheeseburger sliders- fun for little kids and he loved them. Overall an excellent experience. Would have liked to meet the owners and tell them what a great restaurant this has become. This would have make the experience complete!

Visited this morning for Sunday breakfast. Great food - Eggs Benedict was awesome with a side of scrapple. Service is fantastic - prompt and very friendly. Owners Steve and Cindy give the place a very personal touch and are often on the floor serving and talking with guests!
