Terrible. Eggplant parm sub was awful. Eggplant was slimy and greasy and hard. Sub bread is not homemade and has no redeeming qualities. The iced tea was out of syrup but the waitress just blankly stared at me and said they don't make it its a Coke product from the fountain....I UNDERSTAND, it's still not right nor is it tea. Have someone fix it. I also let her know the sub was not edible, she told me to tell them at the counter and handed us the bill. The counter didn't try to fix anything and charged us for everything....I never write negative reviews but this experience totally deserves one.

Great service, generous portions and good food. My husband ordered the regular ham and cheese calzone and it was delicious. I ordered the lobster ravioli and it had generous portions of lobster for filling and succulent shrimp in the sauce. Wonderful, satisfying meal. We highly recommend it.

Went with two of the girls here after getting horribly lost in a part of Carlisle that I'd never seen in my life. After finding the highway, we decided to go to Miseno. My father's work orders from here quite often and brings home leftovers which are always fantastic. Anyways, we found a booth and were quickly served by Raechel. She was very attentive, keeping our drinks topped and bread basket filled. I ordered the Chicken with Vodka Sauce (which is a pink sauce). It was amazing. The chicken and pasta were cooked perfectly and the sauce is to die for! It's by far one of the best pasta sauces I have ever had and I think I found my new favorite dish. Well worth $15, and chances are you'll have enough leftover for a lunch or two in the days to follow. For my first time actually eating there, I was quite impressed and will be back in the future.

Terrible Service, Cold Pizza - will not be back Yesterday, I placed a carry out order over the phone. I ordered two medium pizzas (2 toppings each). I was told the order would be ready in 20 minutes, I arrived exactly 23 minutes after I placed the order. When I identified myself and my order number (#27) the cashier looked at me quizzically and explained "oh....you should have ordered 2 large pizzas instead of 2 mediums. You would have "saved yourself" $3." I explained that I was unaware of the special and the person taking my order over the phone didn't inform me of the special. The cashier shrugged her shoulders and said "oh well, I guess you'll know for next time". She could have offered me the cheaper price... I was taking less pizza out of the place than someone ordering two larges, right? In any case, I arrive home to find my pizzas cold in the center, undercooked and the green peppers plopped down in one big mass in the center of the pie. I have news for Miseno's and the rest of their joint business ventures: this long time Carlisle resident will NEVER be back! I strongly recommend going elsewhere for pizzeria style pizza.

Miseno's II (on High St., not to be mistaken for Miseno's on Ritner Hwy by Gold's Gym) is a solid go to restaurant. I have eaten here Often, and have never been disappointed. Wait, scratch that, just don't order the veggie melt sub because they put lettuce on it! The first time it happened I thought it was a mistake, but the second time I vowed to never order a sub again that came with warm lettuce! Besides the veggie melt sub, everything I have had here is delicious. Another great thing about this restaurant is that they are one of the few places in Carlisle that you can go when it seems everything else is closed for some sort of non-traditional calendar "holiday."

Great place for NY style pizza! I've been eating at this location for the over 4yrs a and haven't had a better slice of pizza anywhere in Central Pa. If you decide to eat one of their pasta dishes, you will receive nice quality and huge portion sizes.

Got food poisoning, two separate times. I tried it the second time since everyone raves about the place and got sick again. Completely different dishes. I do not recommend the place.

As Chefs and Restaurateurs, my husband and I have very strict standards. The decor is very bar-like, no problem it's a pub. What concerned me was the large tears in the vinyl seating, and it could have been cleaner. The waitress was excellent! the food bland. I had a crab special, the chicken over cooked and the crab was barely sprinkled into the sauce. My son had an alfredo, the sauce was more milk than alfredo - the Chef definitely could have used more swiss cheese to pop the sauce, (which traditionally is mild to begin with.) My husband had a pizza, the sauce tasted like a high acidic tomato-no seasoning, the crust was pretty good, though. We never say we're not going back (unless a place is really gross.) We'll try it again a couple of times, different dishes and then let you know if it's worth it. So for now, the 'Meh. I've experienced better' two star rating fits.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
