There's always been such a hype about this place that I almost hate to disband it, but I really wasn't impressed. I tried both the AYCE fish fry, which was rather bland, and their famous beef sandwich, which was dry until I whipped up some horsey sauce. As a precursor, I tried the Cajun Fries that turned out to be disappointing but the Corn Nuggets were OK (hard to mess up). Anymore, when I round the corner into Campbelltown at least I won't have to wonder. Been there tried that.

I arrived here for dinner with a friend who saw the sign"Friday fish fry...seconds on us." We walked into the tavern and it brought me back 30 years. It was clean and cozy. The fish was above average..it was a nice sized piece and not greasy. My side salad was just bagged salad mix and a side of tasteless salad dressing. The mac and cheese could have came from a T.V. dinner. It was a disappointment! My friend said that the stewed tomatoes were way too salty. The table behind me had asked for a different side after tasting the stewed tomatoes. Service was adequate and could benefit with better communication between other staff members. If I was the new owner(s), and wanted to be here for a long time, I would hire a local cook who can make homemade sides, appetizers, desserts, and bread, rolls, etc. It would really make this a better place to dine at and COULD just bring back repeat customers.
