Comfortable setting in an old road house. Came for lunch and ordered the smoked trout and Caesar salad. Salad was okay however the trout was a bit dry. Had to ask twice to gets a refill so service was off as well.

Quiet atmosphere when we arrived. First impression is the decor is outdated. But that is where the negativity stops. Food was great. Tried their signature crab cakes and it's worth the price. Good service.

I have been coming here for many years, it had been a few years since the last time. I found it to be good and consistent as I remembered it. My lunch was great and the service was very good. This is not a gourmet establishment but for a simple business lunch or meeting it is very nice and I have never been disappointed and I will return again.

I travel to Bethlehem, PA a couple times a year and am always looking for different places to eat. Last year I stumbled across this place and have to say that I was pleased overall. The portions of the food (I had the ribs) were huge! Make sure to go hungry or plan to take leftovers. I had great service when I was there. It was during the week and was not too crowded. I did not need a reservation even though their web site recommends it. It was like eating inside of an old house. It was cozy but outdated. Overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars and would probably go again.

I never wrote any review on Yelp before. The Hanoverville Roadhouse disappointed me enough that I have to speak up about my dining experience there. I totally agree with everything Christopher C wrote but unfortunately we had worse dinning experience: We ordered chicken with white wine, butter and lump crab meat. The whole dish was extremely sour. It's very likely that their cooking wine went bad because it tasted exactly like vinegar. We sent it back and ordered chicken parmigiana instead, thinking that it is really hard to mess up chicken parmigiana. Well, the first time in our life we got pre-cut chicken parmigiana without the breading. The chicken looked very similar to the previous order that we just sent back to the kitchen and tasted a bit sour. Along with the chicken parmigiana were the vegetables from the previous order in a different plate. At this point, we did not have any appetite at all. We paid the bill and left. The waitress was trying to talk to us to figure out what went wrong since we left a full plate of food there. We were informed that the owner was the chief.

Went here with my mother today for lunch, I ordered the French dip she got a BLT sandwich, we waited a good 30-40 mins for our food but when it arrived the first thing my mom noticed it was cold. We advised the waitress and she said its supposed to be cold ? The BLT is toasted bread and bacon which both should have been at least warm, the french dip tasted like a warm steak um sandwich.

What a fabulous little restaurant for a lunch with a friend or business meeting. When you're looking for something that is not a chain and not heating up frozen foods, Hanoverville Roadhouse offers good food, at good prices made fresh. My friend ordered the Caesar Salad. I was pleased when I ordered a burger and my server, Pam asked me, "How would you like that prepared?" I got a perfectly prepared medium-rare burger (recently, at what is suppose to be a high-end restaurant, I was unable to get a rare burger).

This place is really a great place for their bar food selection. They have really good and quick meals with reasonable prices. Their burgers are always perfect and the patties are homemade there. My family and I go here frequently for burgers and drinks. It's a great back up restaurant when you don't feel like cooking. Highly recommend their mozzarella sticks as well, also their clam chowder is very good. Most people hold their somewhat slow service against them but what do you expect when the staff isn't used to having many customers due to the exterior look of the place.

The Hannoverville Roadhouse was an experience to say the least. We were presented with bread as we ordered but the waitress attempted to take it away since we did not an entree. I found this both comical and unsanitary. What kind of establishment removes bread because you don't fall into "bread qualifications". The food was fairly good which somewhat made up with the poor service. The icing on the cake was when the guy sitting next to me threw up. This ruined the experience and promoted a speedy exit. I can't say that I plan on dining here ever again

I've been to the RH a few times & generally like the value proposition: locally owned, prices on par with lower to mid-priced places ranging (comparing to Texas Roadhouse, Carrabas, etc. ) No, it's not as cheap as the low end Bonefish Grill. It's also not one of 1,000 chain restaurants. Ya want Bonefish fare for $16.99? Go for it. For $20, these guys put in more care, with a staff that gives a damn & have worked at the place loyally for years, and will cater to your every whim. Commenting that the clientele is of the senior set? Maybe so, because clearly the senior set still cares about the whole range of variables, starting with the price + service + local business + long term servers equation.

We were looking for somewhere that we hadn't been before and after coupling that with a restaurant.com certificate we hoped for something good at Hanoverville. But instead we left with the belief that this place would be a perfect candidate for Gordon Ramsay's show Kitchen Nightmares. We showed up a bit early for our reservation to find the restaurant deserted except for two other tables. After being seated we sat for almost ten minutes before having a drink order taken. After our drinks were delivered we sat another ten minutes until our food order was taken. We each ordered a chicken dish, one with a baked potato and chicken tomato basil soup and the other with a salad and red skinned potatoes. The soup and salad were delivered immediately and the salad was drenched in dressing and the soup was hammered with basil and tasted more like Chef Boyardee. The entrees quickly followed and were disappointing at best. Both Chicken dishes had thick heavy butter leaden sauces that were grotesque and whatever flavor the chicken had was lost to the slathered on sauce. The baked potato that was delivered was stone cold. It is clear that this place is not making things fresh and food is just left to sit around, like the baked potato, and then it gets slathered in a sauce or butter and then gets sent to the table. We were going to complain but it was closing time and clearly we were being rushed to leave so that they could close seeing as there was no one left in the whole place. I cannot say enough bad things about Hanoverville. The service was slow and inattentive and the food is covered in disgusting buttery sauces and hot food is served cold. We will never be back and will go out of our way to spread the word that this place needs either an intervention or needs to just be put out of its misery and mercifully closed.

Poor atmosphere and overpriced for the quality of food. Something straight out Kitchen Nightmares with mostly retirees the two times I was there and when I drive by. 2 miles from home but never go. Don't get me wrong, some of the food is quite good. The problem is that you can easily get as good or better at a better price in a nicer atmoshphere.

Going off the previous reviews I went in with rather low expectations. I was pleasantly suprised. The ribs were really good. The alfredo pierogis had too much sauce but not bad. Overall the service was good. No complaints. The men's bathroom had an old fashioned urnial trauft filled with ice. The stall also had a nine iron on the wall. Not sure if I need to pracitice my approach shots will in there but hey whatever floats your boat.

My husband and I went on a Saturday night with no reservations and although the restaurant was full we were greeted warmly and seated right away. You may notice from my other reviews that I am very big on first impressions...they set the tone for the experience and are very important to me.We weren't really dressed up but the warm cozy atmosphere made us feel comfortable just the same. ANYWAY..My husband and I both ordered wine and it was a nice serving (hate spending $9.00 for half a glass). Totally off to a great start. We shared a Stuffed Mushroom appetizer for $11.95 . We were a little disappointed to see there were only 3 in the order...but WOW they were delicious; filled with amazingly sweet pearls of lump crabmeat. Absolutely worth the price...and next time I am NOT sharing! Although the house salads being served at an adjacent table looked wonderful, I couldn't resist ordering the soup du jour, Sweet Potato Bisque. It was wonderful. Rich, buttery, with a perfect consistency and piping hot! We both ordered from the Dinner Specials menu. King Cut Prime Rib for me, Broiled Combination Seafood for the hubby. I ordered mine rare and after a few minutes our server returned to the table and said she could not accommodate a rare rib but could do medium-rare. I sooo appreciate this. Can't tell you how many times I have been served a "medium" rib and then told that's the rarest they have AFTER its on the table. She assured me it was a perfect medium rare and I agreed to it. She did not disappoint...it was delicious. The hubby's seafood was good, but unfortunately, not great. The shrimp and scallops could have been better quality and the entire dish needed a few more minutes under the broiler. One other note.....my standard baked potato was really really good (???). I can't explain it, it was just a baked potato but I really enjoyed it. Once again we did not save room for dessert; oh well next time. And yes there will be a next time.

A very traditional restaurant with okay food that seems a little pricey. The hostess and the waitress were very friendly and attentive on the Wednesday night that I visited. At 8 pm, the place was nearly empty; customers skewed to the senior set. After learning that their sour cocktails were made with bottled mix, I chose the seasonal Pumpkin martini, which was quite good. The bread and salad, which came with my entree, were nothing special, but I did like the meaty crab cakes. At $29, these were one of the more expensive items. The menu offered several chicken, pasta, and seafood dishes in the $20 range. With dated decor and a menu offering higher priced standard fare, it is easy to see why this place was deserted while Bonefish Grill, located a few miles away, always seems crowded.

I'm afraid I agree with Christopher C. I come to Bethlehem once a year, and am trying out new places. I had heard about the Hanoverville Roadhouse, but was extremely disappointed. Salad so overdressed it was nearly inedible (at least, if you go here, ask for it on the side!). The two chicken dishes we ordered were covered with a nondescript, sweet, cornstarchy goo. But I felt the biggest rip off was the price-$20 and up for extremely mediocre food. Waitstaff was friendly and service ok, Ambience was ok, though we were crammed in one room with a very loud crowd and conversation was virtually impossible. I don't like to give places poor reviews, but I feel it is fair to warn people away.
