Healthy Meal suggestions for Texas Roadhouse

Food here was pretty good. It's basically the non Australian version of outback. I especially thought the bread was good and warm. I had a fillet which was pretty good. If you're looking for a good steak without big bucks I would recommend this place. My only issue would be that it was really busy but it was a Sunday night so it's expected and we didn't even have to wait for a table.

My first experience here at Texas Roadhouse wasn't so great but after talking with the manager Stephanie she made sure our second visit was well worth it. Everything came out hot and fresh food was amazing and so was our hostess.

If I am craving a good rib-eye, I will go to Texas Roadhouse. They always cook it just right and it is so flavorful it needs no additions. Prime Rib is also very good as well as those warm rolls with the cinnamon butter. Not a fan of the baked beans, green beans or their Chicken fried Steak. Beans are way too sweet, green beans are always too salty and the CFS was just plain bad. Service is always quick and hospitable.

It is ironic that the roasted chicken here is better than the ribs. We ordered a half chicken and a rack of ribs. The tender chicken was devoured and the dry, rather tough and bland ribs left behind. The mashed potatoes were okay but not anything to rave about. I ended up eating a lot of rolls with cinnamon butter (which were very good. I almost want to come back just for those.). So 3 stars for the chicken and rolls. Go to Lucy's or Percy St. for ribs.

Went today for re first time. Great food, generous potions and at a great price. I got the 24 oz steak and it was great. Had more than enough to feed my wife off my plate. She got the fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Have no complaints on anything. Would definitely recommend.

We come here all the time for good steak and an overall pleasant atmosphere. The service is great. The server forget our appetizer and immediately informed her manager, who gave us a coupon for a free appetizer to apologize. We didn't even have a chance to complain before the problem was taken care of.

This was a great place... I went in 2007 which was my first time I came here. I noticed that you can pick your own cut of steak in the front which was very interesting and different from say Outback Steakhouse. It gave you a old slaughter house feel with the sawdust on the floor .. I loved it!! Oh my gosh the bread they serve here is soooo delicious.... I went to one in Delaware as well and were pleased with this restaurant.. LOVE IT!

Service was slow and messed up my order. On top of that, my steak had absolutely zero flavor. Don't think I'll be stopping here again ...

Ribs were dry and had no flavor. The NY steak was tough and the "tenderizer" made it taste like medicine. The mashed potato's looked like oatmeal. The chili is outstanding, but this is not a chili place. Pass.

the food was good, the service was good but the reason why I am giving it 3 stars was we were promised a big enough table for a group of more the 10 of us for a friends birthday but when we got there we were split between 2 tables and squished within a next table, if I were to go back it would be with a smaller crowd.

I love you Texas Roadhouse. I want to be buried with a hot roll with cinnamon butter slathered on it. Their rolls are hot & yummy, almost like you're eating dessert. I love getting my steaks (medium rare) smothered with extra onions & a side of loaded mashed potatoes & a cup of their chili. So absofreakinglutely-delicious. A great place to come eat before you go to try your luck @ Parx or a great place to celebrate (or console yourself) after you try your hand with lady luck. I wish I could eat here everyday. It's delicious & it's cheap!

Food is really good here, but they're very inconsistent. We typically order from here every week, and the food can be in a monstrous portion one week, then not enough to feed one person the next week. I love how they offer the veg place option, which allows you to choose 4 sides.

On a windy & rainy night, my hairdresser/friend & I decided to come here dinner, after she gave me a trim(hair-cut).Drove to restaurant, called ahead-seating. Glad I did, waited oh..2 minutes. I typically get the ribs, it was after 7pm..BUT nothing that big, was in mood for a burger, but not from here. I chose the BBQ chicken w-2 sides. She got 10 oz prime rib, 2 sides. My chicken was moist & succulent. Very flavorful. course I got steamed veggies, & apple sauce. She got salad & rice. WEll..it was 1/2 chicken( Thank goodness it was Small bird) I managed to eat most of it..cept huge breast part. Ate my veggies , was full & downed it with sweet tea. Needless to say, place was still packed on weeknight. I tell ya, can't go wrong there. Our server-"Ricko Suave" (I gave him the nickname) was cutey-Nice Eyes..though I'm sure why he was working there. Probably working 2 jobs, paying for 2 baby mama's!!?? LOL..(gotten him in trouble in the 1st place) yummy & of course the rolls with cinnamon butter-always a treat!!

I just was finishing my leftovers from Texas Roadhouse. Coincidentally the foodnetwork show "Unwrapped" came on. This is the show where I first heard about Texas Roadhouse's ribs. I was SO incredibly bitter about the show. It states that it takes 3 days to make the ribs and they cleaning fall off the bone. However, who cares if the flavor and taste stinks?!?!?!?! The ribs were so dry and so badly flavored. There was barely any BBQ sauce and what was on there did not have much taste. So for anyone who lives within a 15 mile radius of me, I apologize for the angry, bitter yelling you heard. Grrrr!!!!

Let's start. Great rolls! Sweet, delicious, with cinnamon butter, leaves you wanting more, but you don't want to ask for more because it will fill you up. Second, awesome steak! Cooked medium rare, steak perfection! Smothered in so much sauteed onions and mushroom. Skimpy, I think not! Third, fabulous sides. Baked sweet potatoes! Loaded with marshmallows and caramel if you have a sweet tooth, or just cinnamon butter if you want to keep it tame. Delicious mashed or loaded with butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon, yes yes. Side garden salad with home made dressing, can you saw awesome? Don't usually order drinks or desert, but if I did, that would be terrific too!

My husband and I had a sitter for the evening and we were going to dinner!! We are both so glad we chose this restaurant. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING!! So tasty. I have to say you would never have guessed the economy is in bad shape while inside the walls of this eatery. It was packed (on a Thursday evening!!) For a few hours without kids the environment is not exactly what I would have chosen since it is a bit loud inside. (The food was worth it.) Service was great too. Very friendly, on the ball staff. I was impressed how the manager knew we had never been there. He came to the table and introduced himself. He even checked on us near the end of our meal. We will definitely be going again!

Took the wife and kids here for an early dinner, haven't been here in months. Have to say one of the best local places to eat and we highly recommend Megan as a server. She took great care of us and having young kids she really catered to us nicely. We ordered a couple kids meals, the BBQ Chicken & Shrimp, a T-Bone and couple of kids meals. We all loved the food, the steak was cooked just as ordered and wasn't dry at all, and we all helped the wife eat her BBQ Chicken. The food was perfect temperature and we love the variety of side dishes you can order with your meal. A big plus to this restaurant is they have sweet tea! Wife had a skinny margarita and enjoyed it. IF you are going to eat out in the Bensalem area and want a quality meal, eat here and ask for Megan.

the rolls with cinnamon sugar butter are literally to die for! yum! i get down with the roadkill, it's basically a giant burger patty smothered in cheese, onions, and mushrooms. sooooo good! overall, just a good place.

Best thing to do if you want to eat here, is to call ahead for seating since this place is always busy busy! Now on to the food, you can pick your own steak if you would like to, not really a steak person, so I usually just order off the menu, you get free freshly baked bread with cinnamon sauce, very delicious, food is good pricing is right, service is always outstanding, my mom loves the free peanuts lol

This is my husband and I's favorite restaurant! The staff is always friendly and on top of things. I can't think of one time we were unhappy here. The food always come sout exactly how we asked for it (servers listen to you, a luxery from other restaurants around the area) Our favorite waiter is Tom, he knows our habits and always comes with refills and extra sauce b/c he knows we love the cactus blossum sauce. We like how the managers come around to the table to ask how things are going b.c it shows they care about your dining experience. We have actually gotten to be known by name there. One time my husband found a hair in his fries while the manager was talking to us and he didnt even hesitate to take the plate off the table and refire the food. My husband got his refired food relativly quickly and they took it of fthe bill and gave us a free dessert. Oh nad my husband get a military discount which other places do not offer. LOVE this place!

I'll be the first good review for this place!! Only been here three times for double dates and everything worked out good. Food was cooked to order, seating...well it's a Texas Roadhouse..., and nice people served us. Plan to go back soon!!

we were told over and over how great the chili is... but guess what, it's not that great. maybe because my mom and my fiance make an amazing chili, so i am used to theirs. fun place to go with friends, and i thoroughly enjoyed the margaritas. the fried jalapeno popper app was the highlight for me. this place is a-ok!

We just keep going back here. The green beans are heavenly and I'm told the baked beans are good too! Love the mushrooms, and the baked potato has salt on the skin. Yum! Caesar salad is so-so.

I went to this restaurant the second week it opened.I had heard so many good reviews I was anxious to stop by and try it out..We ordered the onion appetizer and had steaks.I actually enjoyed the meal. The manager checked in on us and nothing wrong with the service.I have always felt sorry for waitstaff anytime they are called on to perform and this was a corny line dance.Cringe worthy. The problem was all of us in our party of 3 were very sick.Half way home it hit me hard and I was seeking a gas station with a bathroom. My teenage daughter was empting her meal in the parking lot of my savior the gas station with open facilities.Hubby insisted he was just fine and told us we must be getting ill.He was gone for 2 weeks on business and this was hours after he got home so I said we will see. After a half hour home he got hit with Texas Roadhouse Tummy cramps. If he didn't get sick I would have tried it again but too terrified of a repeat performance.

First of all, if you go to a place with "Texas" in the name, and order a salad, you have no right to complain about it. Also, it is one of the few places that can serve a baked potato properly. This may sound crazy, but not only are their baked potatoes cooked all the way through, they are served hot! So many restaurants have yet to figure out how to do that. And it is one of the few places whose jalapeno poppers do not taste like freezer burn. Overall, the place is one of the best values you can get for a steak. The 8 ounce sirloin is quite flavorful and a great value at $10.95 for the entree. And medium rare means closer to rare, which is what everybody wants to order, but is too ashamed to say it. They also have the cheesy "pick your own steak" freezer when you first walk in. I am not a big steak eater, but most people I know claim the Roadhouse has the best steaks under $20. They also have a good variety of smaller steak sizes. I'm not a big steak eater, so I can't stand when I go to a place and the smallest steak is 14 oz. I also highly recommend the Chicken Critters. They have managed to find that perfect middle ground between chicken fingers and funnel cake. Time for the obscure foodie reference, the Roadhouse has the only fried chicken that reminds me of the fried chicken in Chinatown in Kobe, Japan. If you have ever had the fried chicken in Kobe, you understand my quest for it. The beer selection is limited. But you can get an ice cold Lager 22 oz draft for about $4. But it is mostly Macros plus Sam Adams. They used to carry local bottles, but I think they have stopped. The ribs are ok, but really not much different from any other chain serving ribs. They should be better. Service is not bad; it is just not good. They are not rude or anything. But usually just some overworked suburban college student. And things may arrive sporadically. Don't be surprised if your entree comes shortly after your appetizer, and your salad does not come at all. Yet the chili will always arrive within minutes after you order it. But the place is fun, everybody there is having a good time, the prices are low and the food is good.

  • Harrison L.

We never have a bad meal here. It's a great value for what you get, unpretentious and well timed. The peanuts are everywhere and there is nothing more fun than grabbing handful after handful from the barrel while waiting for your table and being able to throw the shells wherever you want. More restaurants need to be like this one. So perfectly simple and tasty. Try the steak. Try the prime. Try the fried pickles. Try everything. Have fun, enjoy and repeat as needed.

Food is good! We order 2 time a week, since we live right behind it. We call in our order, which is always a challenge, because they kid takes forever to write the order down. The food is VERY inconsistent. It could be great one time and then it sucks the next time. SIdes usually are not full and every time I call in I have to make sure to say that the sides are filled up. Overall its not a bad place. I just wished they were more consistent with their food.

Lord! I'm stuffed ! Place wasn't nearly as crowded when we arrived (5:15) as when we dpearted. Service was prompt and pleasant, except we had to wait (and wait) for the check............... We started with a "Baby Bloomer" - We pretty much destroyed that before I remembered that I'd brought my camera.......... I opted for the Pulled pork and bacon / chees fries, with a side-skewer of shrimp...... Pork was okay, maybe a little too sweet / not enough tang........I should'a held off on the bacon-cheese thingy; fries got really soggy. shrimp was left on the heat a smidge too long......... The warden went for the Smothered (really SMOTHERED) 10 oz. Sirloin (that's my gal...red meat every day of the week if I'd cook it) in a nice mushroom sauce. Her green beans were garlic-y AND bacon-y (and a little salty) but pretty much enjoyable. Warden's frozen Banana / strawberry margarita was a brain-freeze, and huge (better be for seven bucks) and my sweet tea was just that. Only really negative thing was the salad dressing. I asked if their dressing came out of a bottle and was assured that it was made from scratch, so I went for Bleu Cheese...............very lame, if it was scratch, and merely adequate if it was bottled............no cheese visible.......... off to my couch to digest !

This is the only restaurant that puts eggs in their Salad which I love so that's a good point. I don't like their bread, they only have the rolls which are to sweet for me there more like a dessert than to eat with dinner. There steak is good and baked potato is good. There peanuts are a extra which is nice. All together I think there pretty good.

i love my brother, but he's sorta a jerk. he goes the easy road on every gift. he's that guy who goes out, two days before Xmas, and gives everyone a gift card to the same three spots. he's audaciously lazy, yet obligated. i don't even know why he chose this place for me. I don't wear a cowboy hat, i don't live in the burbs, and i hate country music. So when we pull up, i'm amazed at the size of this place. the parking lot is half the size of texas, and so is the place. As we approach the door, we are greeted by the incessant twang of telecasters and songs about lost socks. we came on a monday evening, and were seated immediately by a nice, but pre-programmed server complete with coperate scripts and introductions. Beer selection was weak, really weak. we thought that perhaps we could burn most of this gift certificate in booze. booze would help me cope with the atmosphere. Booze would have also helped put some enthusiasm in the young women servers who felt compelled to do some half assed sort of line dancing display. i felt bad for them, and i tried not to stare, but i couldn't help myself. since i hate everything country and texas, the one thing i don't mind is the food. i like a good barbecue and have high expectations. Had a caesar salad that tasted like straight mayonnaise. which was disappointing. Rice was greasy and nothing special. Ordered the Pulled Pork, which was dry and completely devoid of flavor. Had the ribs too, and while they were 'fall off the bone' , as they promised, they were also of low quality, fatty and left with the gross skin underneath, which is completely unforgivable. we had ten bucks left on the gift card, so we handed it off to a group of young women who looked like they were enjoying their meals more than we were.

food was good but this time our server was from outer space she was so slow to get to our table and it was 4 pm and not busy at all .she was walking all around us with our food looking for us.and then just stood in a spot looking around and then saw us and said o here you are. i said new here she said just landed this morning. she was slow to bring the check slow to bring us boxes to take the leftovers home and then forgot to bring us the roadhouse bags. if i see her again at my table I'm going to the space shuttle and hit another planet.

Great service. Great food. Great price. The bread and cinnamon butter has got to be one of the best appetizer breads I have ever had. Staff was super nice and food came out in a timely manner. I had the New York strip steak with a baked potato and corn; it was delicious (especially the potato). I wish I remembered the waitresses name so I can give her a proper kudos for her service. She went out her way to try to get us the 10% discount for staying at the Radisson or for being a carded member of the Parx casino. Thank you very much for your excellent service.

BQ spare ribs is awesome. If you're thinking about getting the sweet potato , get it loaded! Its covered with marshmallow which makes it sweeter. We tried a couple of the steaks, sirloin was alright, best I think was the prime rib and the filet medallion. We were stuffed afterwards! Call ahead for this place! You won't regret it! The service was really attentive as well. They noted down my table size incorrectly and fixed it right away giving me another table! Also you get to pick your own steaks right at the front.

Absolutely love this place! Too bad it is far from my home and it closes early. Nevertheless, I go there every time I want a good steak at fair price. Very friendly and polite customer service. One of my habits is to try steaks wherever I go if they have it in menu. To be honest I was surprised how good and cheap steaks can be at the same time. The meat they use for steaks is FDA approved and that means a lot. I ordered my steak medium rear and had a side of chili and mashed potatoes. I loved everything. The soup was done perfectly and the steak was cooked just like it should be. Mashed potatoes came with very delicious gravy sauce. I think that this place has earned a top spot of my favorite steak restaurants. I highly recommend it!

I love Texas Roadhouse. My steak is always cooked just right, and the ribs are amazing. Love the fresh baked bread that is always still warm from the oven when they bring it to the table. Prices are very reasonable, service is always friendly.

The main meal was fantastic I had a 12 ounce prime rib that was medium and it came out perfect. The bread was also fantastic as always with the cinnamon butter, but only when they're nice and fresh, our first batch had clearly been sitting for a while because the outside was hard but it still had a soft center. I also ordered a salad as my side, it came out rather quickly and to my surprise there was a ring of ice at the bottom, so the salads were clearly pre made and put in the freezer.

The last three times I've gone herr my steak has been over cooked by two grades and the wait staff were mediocre at best. We called ahead for seating and arrived 5 minutes early for our time, we then had to wait 25 extra minutes for them to put our party of 6 in at a 4 top with chairs on the end. It was extremely uncomfortable. I will not be returning.

To get a wonderful steak for $20.00 that costs me $75.00 in a steak house is absolutely incredible.By the way, it tastes as good as the $75.00 one.

I was not completely impressed with Texas Roadhouse, nor was I completely disappointed. If anything, I would love to give them a 3.5 as a score. I couldn't quite bring myself to round it up to 4 stars. My wife and I came in for our fist visit and our initial impression was good. Even with a full parking lot, and unknowingly coming on "kids get a discount/eat free" night we still were sat very quickly. The fresh bread with honey/cinnamon butter was delicious. Our server was delightful and very helpful. Management stopped by the table on at least two occasions to make sure everything was ok. I also like that they were hosting a local group that was doing a fundraiser. Our meals were decent. My wife got fried pickles as an appetizer which she said she liked. I got a caeser salad and a baked potato with my meal, both were good. We each got a sirloin steak, which was cooked medium rare as requested. The steaks were tasty but not over-the-top delicious. Good overall. B+, maybe even A- IMO. The big negative for me was that my meal was a combo which included "fall off the bone ribs" and they did, in fact, fall off the bone. However, I could tell that as such an item, which likely sits in some variation of a slow roaster until ordered, had been in said device for about an hour or so too long. I don't know if they are usually that way or if I just happened to be one of the first few to order ribs that night. They were starting to dry out and the sauce wasn't particularly impressive to boot. TL:DR - All in all a decent place but nothing particularly exciting that stood out. Very friendly staff and reasonable priced.

The Bone-In Ribeye is really delicious and plenty big. It comes with 2 sides. I ordered the Caesar Salad and mashed potatoes. The steak was large enough to have leftovers to take home and make another meal out of it. I would recommend mushrooms for sides. I had a bite of my friends and was full of regret for not having gotten that myself. ** You have to get steak here. I came back for a second visit and ordered a hamburger. Was not worth it**

I've gotten take-out and dined inside here. No problems picking up food. Call with order, pay with card or pay upon pickup, then head on over. They even deliver the food to your car. Perfect if you want to pick up food after work and you're too tired to hit the supermarket but you don't want fast food. So eating inside is a totally different ball game, but in a good way. You'll most likely see someone there for their birthday. The staff will sing while the birthday boy or girl rides this horse they have. Overall TRH has decent food and is a fun spot for dinner. Thumbs up!

Walked in around 6pm for dinner. The hostess greeted my daughter and I with a warm, friendly smile and sat us immediately. Not even 2 minutes later our awesome server (Jill) came to greet us. We ordered our drinks and apps which came out in speedy time. The tater skins and shrimp skewers were delicious and our meals were to die for. Jill didn't skip a beat. She was on top of our table from beginning to end. The MOD (Anthony) stopped by as well to check on us. He was a sweetheart! I have to say I've been here before and always had great service but tonight the entire staff from beginning to end knocked my socks off!!! Thank you Texas Roadhouse for making my night and thank you especially to Jill for making me feel at home! See you again soon!

Typical chain restaurant. Very mediocre, heavy food. My medium rare steak came out pretty much well done. Their "hot" boneless buffalo wings had no buffalo sauce. The only thing I enjoyed was the free peanuts. I came here on an empty stomach after a workout and even in starvation mode, this place didn't meet even my lowest standards. Maybe I'm a bit dramatic, but I've never felt so gross and regretful after a meal.

The steaks at the Texas Roadhouse on street road are phenomenal cooked to perfection the beers are always cold in the atmosphere is alive and jumping the staff is great and more than willing to help out and go beyond all measures with the setting up of a fundraising event for the Andrew Coppola foundation thank you Zack Quinn for all your hard work date of fundraiser June 25th 4 to 10

Wow is all I can say. I have eaten at the one in a Tulsa, Oklahoma and always loves it and did not realize I had one so close to me. First of all the service was excellent. We were seated right away and the waitress greeted us within 2 minutes of us sitting. My wife, who is a very picky eater, asked the waitress many questions about different items on the menu, and the waitress cordially answered every question and provided great recommendations. My wife ended up getting the Chicken Critters and loved them. I got the grilled shrimp for an appetizer, which was recommended by the waitress, and it was awesome. For my entree I got the 12oz ribeye and it was one of the tastiest steaks I ever had. I did not even need to use any steak sauce with it. The loaded baked potato and the chili I got for sides was great as well. My daughter got the kids Mac n cheese and loved it. For steaks we use to Outback, but I think Texas Roadhouse just took their place.

Fantastic food the prime rib was cooked to perfection the wait staff was fabulous. Even the manager comes out multiple times to see how we were doing. Our food was served really fast there was no wait everything is handmade including the rolls which are to die for. I would put this place at the top of your list.

Haven't had a bad meal here yet and have gone here many times. Make sure to take advantage of the call ahead seating, it gets crowded fast. With call ahead seating, I never wait more than 10 minutes, and the line is out the door when I get there. Food is really good. Steaks cooked the way I order them. You get 2 sides here, Outback gives you one. I like that you can choose your meat in the display case. Peanut shells, just throw em on the floor! Here that is the norm, kind of neat you can be intentionally messy and get away it. Service is always excellent....and excellent looking. Manager always comes by to see how we are doing. Try the sampler and the chili. Ribeye is the only way for me. Giving it 5 stars because it is a steakhouse that has all the angles covered and covers them well. If you forced me to come up with a complaint, I guess maybe it would be that they don't offer soup, but chili is good. I would choose this place over Outback, Longhorns, etc.

The best part of this Texas Roadhouse is the entertainment they provide in the parking lot. As you amble from your hard-fought parking space to the door, you can turn your head a mere 45 degrees and marvel at the line that winds several times around the Golden Corral, encapsulating it with its primal voracity. To be sure, nothing brings out the inner demons of the human condition like $7 AYCE shrimp. Now that you're inside the Texas Roadhouse, there are several things to like about it. One is the cinnamon butter they give you with the rolls. The steaks here are also not bad. I recommend the ribeye, medium rare, with the loaded sweet potato. On the meh list: I understand that nearly nothing here is vegetarian. They told my friend that the salad dressings have bacon grease in them and that they rub the potatoes down with bacon grease. Um, that is....yeah. The service is hit or miss here, as sometimes your waitress can disappear for so long that you think that she's perhaps joined the shrimp line next door (who could blame her?). On the "dear God, no!" list is the (literal) song and dance (replete with saddle on wheels) they put on for various and sundry events, like someone's birthday. If you're in this area and feel like a steak, you could do a lot worse than the Texas Roadhouse.

I do like Texas Roadhouse, the downside is that a lot of the fried stuff is frozen and I feel like their all the same franchises BBQ. The fried pickles are absolutely amazing and their big mixed drinks and talk beers are great. I do wish Texas Roadhouse was more fresh then frozen like fast food establishments. All in all good food and drink, top choice USDA beef

Ate here with visiting family on 10/25. Staff was wonderful: friendly, efficient. The restaurant smelled of cheap oil and lots of frying. The jalapeno poppers and onion appetizer tasted of old oil and cheap ingredients. I had the chicken breast with mushrooms, onions, and melted cheese. It was acceptable. Everything was incredibly salty. I would never eat here again unless I were starving.

In times when a cupcake is not enough for a celebration, you need to get a good steak. I came here with a low bar, considering it's a chain restaurant and looks like a log cabin. This is a long review so here are the 3 major points: 1. Get the loaded taters to share. 2. Get the Sirloin Steak 3. Skip the chili I will also admit, I was in the crappiest mood, with a beaming headache and starving when I arrived and the place was pretty packed for a weekday, so I expected some heinous wait - but alas the food gods were with me and we were sat promptly. Our server noticed my nearly explosive hungry woman mood and got our table deliciously warm rolls with sweet cinnamon butter. She was also helpful in answering all my questions about steak (I am always confused with all the cuts) and suggested a 17 oz sirloin that was reasonably priced at $18. Then she kindly asked if I wanted my side of chili to be brought to me ahead of time to alleviate my growling bawls as well. There were a million birthdays (and thus "yee haws") and my headache went from a nuisance to a full out migraine before our appetizer even arrived. But this is a chain restaurant so this is expected.... We got the loaded tators and OMG were they huge! Definitely a heart attack provoker with all the cheese and bacon they pile mile high. On a brighter note, this was the best served loaded fries I have ever seen - restaurants are usually pretty cheap with the bacon and cheese. My chili arrived and it was also loaded mighty high, it was too much after all that cheese and bacon on the fries and the flavor wasn't that great either. This is not something I would order again. THE BEST PART: The Sirloin Steak. Wow. What great flavor, nice and soft - crackling on the plate so you could tell it came running out from the grill - perfection. I order my steak well done - yes, major faux pas in a steakhouse, sorry I don't like my meat partially alive when I eat it - SOOO it's easy to mess up a good steak and get it either char-burned or dry as heck. I was pleasantly surprised what good meat came out of the kitchen considering I've been to longhorn and outbacks and usually pretty disappointed with the size, flavor and price of entrees. I had mashed potatoes that I barely touched because my taste buds were love making to that steak. I will definitely be returning to Texas Roadhouse, especially because of the great service considering I was not the nicest person to deal with.......and I still daydream about their steak.

Came here when I was down visiting a friend (Hi MV - lol) We ordred these absolultely amazing French fries. My meal (ribs) was delicious - I just wish I hadn't inhaled those fries so that I could enjoy my meal. Downside - the wait ... too long, but feel free to have some peanuts while waiting. Oh and If you have a severe peanut allergy please don't even breathe the air of this place!!!! Peanuts shells, etc. everywhere in waiting area, but helped to ease the hunger while we were waiting. Would def. return if I were in the area!

I don't like reviewing chains but this place is equal parts frustration and guilty pleasure for me. I love the steak fries and getting the chili cheese fries is my diet buster dish. Their chili is really good an will improve just about anything. Steaks come out 90% of the time cooked correctly and is true across different chain locations. What makes franchises or chain restaurants is this level of consistency across them. So let us dive into the things that cause me frustration: Price hikes coupled with portion reductions.I will take one or the other but both is a bit obnoxious. Chicken critters are now half the size the were and one less for $2 more. The discontinuation of good items, I lament the substitution of the Iguana Eggs (jalapeno poppers) for the Rattlesnake Bites (a ball of deep fried cheese with a couple of specs of jalapeno in them). The thing that usually tweaks us off here is the service though. Know that you will be rushed. They trick we have started implementing is putting in the drinks and apps and feigning indecisiveness and holding off on putting in the rest of the order until the apps arrive. This is not a guarantee. Often you will still get you app, then you salad 2 minutes later and then your main dish 2 minutes after that. We have had some good wait staff that will check and pace things but if they are packed and since they have food runners who are not your server bring things out you can get you entire meal stacked on you in a 10 minute span. I know they are going for turning the tables as many times as possible but we have run into having to send main dishes back to be held since we had no room on the table. I really don't like being forceful with servers because I know their jobs suck but if I am still eating my app and my salad is sitting untouched next to me don't try to put down my damn steak. I would probably stop going here if the chili and fries weren't so damn good.

My favorite streak house. Try the bone in rib eye, it's the same every time you order it, and the proper corn au jus is great. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Be sure to call ahead on Saturday or get there before 4pm.

Nice place good food and a fun atmosphere. The call a head seating option is great. And if your looking to eat at home there car side pick up is fast. The food selections are good and the meals are well portioned for the price.

I love this place. So worth the $20-$30 bucks...you can pick your own steak out (I recommend the largest rib eye). The steak and sides are enormous. But beware, the drinks are watered down like most restaurants like it.

I like the place for its theme. The steaks are enormous as is every other serving they provide. Server was sweet and attentive. Yet for some reason I can't give this more than three stars. There was just something about the entire experience that was just tad off putting for me. Maybe it's just not my sort of atmosphere? I don't know. Either way, if you are into the wooden look, the loud quality of Friday night happy hour patrons, the goofy birthday songs that end with a "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwwwwwwwww" then by all means rank it higher. Tried it and decided it's just not my thing but that's not an indictment. Give it a whirl and decide for yourself. In the end, I thought the food was great which must stand for most of your review. Correct?

I've been coming here for quite some time and they are never consistent. Sometimes the steaks are cooked perfect and others, they are completely overburnt! I used to be a server for over 6 years, so I rarely send back food, but this place erks me sometimes. One time, my husband had to send his steak back twice! He likes his steak Med, and the first time it came out, there was blood dripping on the plate. I like my steak like that, but he felt sick looking at it. They threw it back on the grill and it came out like charcoal. WTF!!! We then had to tell the manager to make him a new steak. I felt really bad, but it was completely unedible. Also, my husband always orders a margarita basically anywhere we go WITH salt. This is the only place that always always forget to put salt on it. The look on his face is always so sad (like a lil puppy..lol) when he gets it without salt bc he loves to lick the salt off...I know...ewww! The most recent time, we opted to get the hand cut steak from the display window bc we thought bc it was hand picked and prob more expensive, they would cook it right. Oh gosh were we wrong. Both our steaks came out well overcooked! :-( So sad. I felt like I was eating rubber. My husband sent his back, but I didn't bc I was already so full. I didn't even eat my steak at all. Such a waste of food! And to make things worse, my ribs that I ordered with it were so beyond dry, I felt like I was going to choke on it. This was the first time they have ever messed up on the ribs and I was so angry that it ruined my entire night. Oh, and when we got our first batch of bread, there was only 3 pieces. Now I know it normally has 4 pieces, so I have a feeling that one of the customers waiting to be sat took a piece and then the server decided to give us that basket anyway. Totally disgusting! Next time, I'll rather go to the one down past the airport even though it's a further drive.

After driving home from National Harbor and overpaying for food all week, I had to have a steak and this place was on my way home. I have been here on several occasions and almost forget this place is so close by. This place can get very busy on weekends so be willing to wait and wait for a table. Well good news is, there was no wait for us. We skipped the appetizers and went straight for the steaks. GF selected a prime cut ribeye from the selection case and I opted for the Texas Filet. Both arrived cooked to perfection. Wait staff was friendly and fast. Manager even came over and asked how everything was showing their commitment to quality control. So the bottom line... Good reliable steak place with very reasonable prices. Ice cold beer and a friendly attentive wait staff. I will have to go here more often!

Loud and noisy, a bit above average food, and it is a nice night out. The cinnamon butter rolls are quite good, and the steaks we had were cooked as requested. The monster onion petal my kids did not like even though they like onion rings. Also got some fried pickles (which they were pushing) and they were slices, not quarters like they should be. The dipping sauces are ugh! Vegetables were overcooked and bland. Service was nice and helpful.

The food was good, but the business didn't keep their word on what they had promised. I called a week ahead to make reservations for a dinner party of about 16 people. They said no problem and to call ahead the day of the party. I called back the day of the party and they told me my party was too big, but they'd fit us in altogether because of the mix up. When we got there that wasn't the case. Half our party was at another table across the room, and we were promised another table for another part of our party. The waitress told is they'd have the table next to us. Then they seated another table in our parties spot! When I said something I was told it wouldn't be a problem. They lied! We had to squish the remaining members of our party at our table. I say stick to outback! I won't be going back!

This Texas Roadhouse is still 1000 times better than the one in Millville (in my opinion). My family arrived around 700 (give or take). It took a couple of minutes for the woman upfront to address us. I'm not sure but she may have addressed my mom before that and I just didn't hear her because it was rather loud. A man led us to our table, he was very friendly and he kept questioning my mother about if this was our first time there and other things. A moment or two after being seated, our waiter Andy arrived to take our drink order. I'm 23 and look younger which obviously I did get carded when I ordered a frozen margarita. The margarita was expensive but refreshing. Turns out they charge you an extra dollar for it being a strawberry margarita. (6.50 for the margarita, 1.00 extra because it's strawberry). Andy was very attentive which is a big step up compared to the Texas Roadhouse in Millville. Bread and butter: the butter is absolutely delicious with the fact that it has cinnamon and it may have a hint of honey but I'm not 100% sure. The bread is always warm when you get it. Pulled Pork Sandwich: hearty, the BBQ sauce had a hint of sweetness to it. The bun was slightly toasted which made It perfect. Chicken fingers (sister's meal): tasted a bit off. They looked as if someone had ripped actual fingers off of a chicken. They were kind of dry. Her words for them were "they may have turned me off of chicken fingers..." that is honestly saying a lot for her, since that is mostly what she gets at any restaurant. I still wish I could have embarrassed my dad since it was his birthday today. I would have had a good laugh. I'll definitely go back again for another pulled pork sandwich and go back to maybe get my waiter's number.

I absolutely LOVE their bread! I never use butter on my bread but I do find myself putting a little on their buns! I always get the same thing, 6oz sirloin, seasoned rice & salad. Overall it's my to-go place and everyone I bring there loves it!

First time here and thoroughly enjoyed it - start off with complimentary freshly baked bread rolls with sweet butter balls which were banging and melts in your mouth. For appetizer, got their fried blooming onion which was good but greasier than my usual liking. For my entree which I shared with one other person, I got the full slab of ribs (10-12 pieces) with two sides for only $19.99! Meat literally falls off the bone and bbq sauce is spot on with tanginess and sweetness fused together. Meat portions here are generous although side dishes are smaller than what I expected. Side dishes include French fries, corn, baked potato, sweet potato, chili, or veggies. Overall service is very attentive, friendly, and upbeat. Highly recommend calling and reserving as wait for walk ins were an hour to an hour and a half. Otherwise, highly recommend if you're looking to fill that bbq or steak craving!

I pop in here once in awhile for early bird specials. I don't frequent chain restaurants much, but I've been known to return here. Nothing crazy fancy or overly special. The food is decent. The rolls and butter are probably my favorite thing about this place aside the service. The steaks are decent. You have the option of picking your own, but I let them wildcard for me. It does get pretty busy, but the staff has always been extremely upbeat no matter how crazy it gets in there. Definitely a good place to bring the kids if you've got them!

i only give this place two stars one for the blooming onion and one for the coconut margarita but everything else was bleh! only went here to use gift card that was given to us and seriously i have no plans to go back! how does this place draw such a crowd??? the food is not good and over priced, the music sucks....seriously, how many times is it necessary to play the cotton eye joe song?? not to mention the less than enthusiastic workers they make line dance to the music. i would never work at a place that made me line dance in the middle of restaurant packed like a can of sardine's. and for the money spent to build a bar that large they could use a few more taps and some half decent beer. i think the worst was the rice. seriously stay away from it. just don't even order it. i can't even begin to describe the horrible seasoning they flavored it with! save your money and time waiting for crappy texas style cooking and find a nice family owned place where it's relaxing to eat and you know some care was put into your food preparation.

I like the place, I love to relax enjoy my drinks and have some peanuts.. and yummy hot rolls, the only thing to remember is you have to be clear with the waiter! when you say you want medium rare steak, you better tell them you better tell the chef to make it exact what i want...otherwise i will send it back! then they always bring your food out perfect!

I've been to Texas Roadhouse a few different times and it is great! The price is right on and they give you a ton of food so go hungry! They start you off with peanuts at the table and awesome dinner rolls with a cinnamon butter. For apps the ceasar salad and fried pickles are great! The prime rib is AMAZING, cooked to prefection. Very tender and tasty at the same time! Comes with a potato and fresh veggies. Every thing is very fresh. I great place to eat in Bensalem especially if you are heading to the Parx Casino.

Texas Roadhouse has really good food, but it's kind of expensive. Good idea for a date night or something. Staff is friendly and food comes out quickly. Good place for birthdays too because they embarrass you which is great. Also offers call ahead seating, which is the best.

Been here about a dozen times or so. Food and prices are outstanding. Usually get the "Dallas Fillet" which will melt in your mouth. Sides, appetizers and salads are excellent. I go with the mashed potatoes and caesar salad. Salad dressing is smooth and creamy not fishy tasting. Great family steakhouse that blows away that other chain which will remain nameless.

It's delicious & it's cheap!

i love my brother, but he's sorta a jerk. he goes the easy road on every gift. he's that guy who goes out, two days before Xmas, and gives everyone a gift card to the same three spots. he's audaciously lazy, yet obligated. i don't even know why he chose this place for me.

Food is really good here, but they're very inconsistent. We typically order from here every week, and the food can be in a monstrous portion one week, then not enough to feed one person the next week. I love how they offer the veg place option, which allows you to choose 4 sides.

I reccomend the filet and the loaded sweet potato. The rolls and butter are delicious.

we were told over and over how great the chili is... but guess what, it's not that great. maybe because my mom and my fiance make an amazing chili, so i am used to theirs. fun place to go with friends, and i thoroughly enjoyed the margaritas. the fried jalapeno popper app was the highlight for me. this place is a-ok!

If he didn't get sick I would have tried it again but too terrified of a repeat performance.

food was good but this time our server was from outer space she was so slow to get to our table and it was 4 pm and not busy at all .she was walking all around us with our food looking for us.and then just stood in a spot looking around and then saw us and said o here you are. i said new here she said just landed this morning. she was slow to bring the check slow to bring us boxes to take the leftovers home and then forgot to bring us the roadhouse bags. if i see her again at my table I'm going to the space shuttle and hit another planet.

i only give this place two stars one for the blooming onion and one for the coconut margarita but everything else was bleh! only went here to use gift card that was given to us and seriously i have no plans to go back! how does this place draw such a crowd??? the food is not good and over priced, the music sucks....seriously, how many times is it necessary to play the cotton eye joe song?? not to mention the less than enthusiastic workers they make line dance to the music. i would never work at a place that made me line dance in the middle of restaurant packed like a can of sardine's. and for the money spent to build a bar that large they could use a few more taps and some half decent beer. i think the worst was the rice. seriously stay away from it. just don't even order it. i can't even begin to describe the horrible seasoning they flavored it with! save your money and time waiting for crappy texas style cooking and find a nice family owned place where it's relaxing to eat and you know some care was put into your food preparation.
