Worst sonic I've ever been to. Extremely slow service and most of the people that work there are inept. They usually get your order wrong or having you waiting 15 minutes for 2 goddamn hamburgers. Sadly, I'm done with this sonic.

Bunch of kids running this place. No service ..... They should close this place as well... We were in two drive on spots and no one answered our call bottom. Actually folks were leaving. Gave it a3 rd try and drove up to the drive thru and was put on hold. Left with NO Service. This sonic should close it doors.

sonic is amazing arterie clogging food! so yummy I don't come here often but its such a treat when I do. Make sure you get the drinks no ice, they drown everything in ice and you must get the onion rings!!

Wrote a review he other day and reviewing again, we just waited in the drive thru that had 4 cars including our own for 2 drinks. Unacceptable and ridiculous. Never going back to this god awful sonic ever again. We pulled out of line at 20 minutes and went to Wawa.

I am so excited to finally get the chance to try a Sonic! There just are not any around me :(. However, while helping my sister move out of her apartment, she offered to take me to one. Yeah for sis!!!! Well, she called it just right, the drinks are amazing, and the experience of getting to eat in your car is cool, but everything else is fairly average. The burger I had was okay, the bun was pretty soft, but fairly average burger. The chili cheese tots were really delicious, I would have liked a higher cheese to chili ration, but I think most people prefer it this way. Hahaha. But the drinks....ohhh the drinks! I was blown away! We came here 2 nights in a row and I had a banana cream pie milkshake and a strawberry milkshake. The cream pie milkshakes have graham cracker bits in it. Ohhhh drool! Okay, I think I need to add another star thinking back on the shakes. Now that I have wiped the drool away, the banana milkshake really tasted just like a banana cream pie, and the ingredients tasted so fresh! The strawberry milkshake had real fresh chunks (not just bits) of strawberry in it. These chunks were big enough and fresh enough that I can not imagine it just being part of the ice cream, but they must have blended it into the shake on premises. YUMMY! I know it's hard to screw up a shake, but it is also hard to stand above the crowd, but WOW, did Sonic's milkshakes stand out!

Writing this after my first time at sonic ever. I was impressed. I ordered onion rings, a corn dog, orange nerds slush and tots. Everything was very good and cooked well. It wasn't just thrown into the bag with little thought, everything was neatly put together. The food got to us relatively fast and the car hop was very nice. The corn dog was moist and crunchy on the outside, the tots weren't greasy at all and onions rings were better than your local diner. Overall I'm satisfied and I do recommend.

Whoever was at your drive thru on Wednesday at 4pm 7/29, had to be the rudest person I have ever encountered. She couldn't hear our order and preceded to yell can you repeat your order? Which we did. She mumbled something, we let her know we couldn't understand what she was asking us, she preceded to scream something at us like "can you repeat what you just said?!?" Making it seem like screaming through her earpiece would be the best solution to the situation. We promptly left without continuing our order and no food. Very poor service.

When you order a burger with no cheese and you specify that twice, that should be more than enough. Unfortunately for this place, they can't follow a simple customer order and even after be ensured that there was no cheese in the drive-thru, when we arrived home.......there was of course cheese on the burger. Didn't want to mention that we also ordered no mustard on all our burgers - being from NY, we prefer ketchup and not mustard on our burgers - of course at this Sonic, they messed that up in our order as well. Not sure how they can totally louse up a simple food order when they were especially not busy, but I guess you get what you pay for. We got back to our hotel before we discovered it and while the fries were fine, we went to Five Guys later on and simply got a BETTER burger. The Sonic that used to be open a few miles away was great and they knew what they were doing - this Sonic here, well they made sure I would never be a Sonic paying customer again. Granted I've been to two Sonics now over the years and 50% of the time they suck, so I'm not about to take a chance on Sonic again with that number. Word of advice hiring managers - when customers specifically ask TWICE for no cheese and then specifically ask for no mustard on ANY of our burgers, you should be hiring a person who can simply follow those simple customer requests. It's really not that hard. If they're were completely lazy and already had the mustard infested cheeseburgers made like McDonald's does, than that just says a lot about the garbage you hire and your "brand" name. Funny, because in my previous experience with Sonic, I thought you were better than McDonalds (at least a little) - but it turns out you're as inept as they are.....across the board. I won't dismiss Sonic as a whole - but I will not be returning to this location, that's for sure.

Everyone has one of those things they cant get enough of. Ok...I always come here for nothing else but a cherry limeade...my cherry limeade addiction that I cant seem to get anywhere else. Fast n convenient. It would be great if there a move drive in or something nearby to entertain me while Im sipping on my cherry limeade. Lol.

I really don't even want to give it one star. Every time I come through the drive through the people are rude while taking my order and my payment. Today I ordered a number 1 my tater tots must've been sitting for two hours bc they are not hot and have no potato in them what so ever- they they might as well be potato chips. My burger has nothing else on it other than the finger marks of whatever a- hole made this. You had one freaking job, and they want 15 an hour - better stay in school pal

Spent $23 and received stale buns. They didn't make good on it. So this is the last time we will eat at Sonic!

Yes..we came all this way just to try Sonic. You have no idea how these commercials taunt us on Long Island..mocking us because we do not have one. Anyway I was kind of full from dinner so I only had a Sonic Blast but it was GREAT!. Everyone else was satisfied too. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is the poor kid dropped my friend's Sonic Blast and when he returned he said there was no more whipped cream so the new one was missing it. Seriously? Thankfully another one opened in North Jersey so we don't have to drive this far again. :) I'll review again when I have something other than dessert.

I generally like Sonic. But this one is ridiculously slow. Defies the term "fast-food." And after all the wait, the food is tasteless and not well put together.

I used to go to a poker club up the road with some friends and as such, came here a couple times on our way back, since it was among the only places open as late as we were out. The first time I went, I got a burger, tater tots and popcorn chicken. Really none of them were anything to write home about but they were OK. On par with other fast-food places, perhaps a step up but the prices are higher. This first time, I remember asking for honey mustard twice. The first time, it was forgotten and the second time, the carhop produced a fork instead, for which I had no use or desire. I never did get the honey mustard. Subsequent times were about the same, except once when I got some sort of chicken, lettuce and bacon sandwich (on sliced bread) which was actually very good. I also came here recently with friends for the "free root beer float" deal they had going. They were very small but good (how can you screw up a root beer float?). I was surprised how smart they were in sending out carhops to the huge line of people in the drive-through lane to give out the floats; it was what most people were there for and really saved time. I don't know. I was really intrigued after the barrage of commercials I'd seen before one even opened nearby and after having had it I was underwhelmed. Not bad, but meh.

I absolutely love Sonic, but this particular location in Bensalem has some seriously incompetent staff. They are completely incapable of handling a modified drive through order correctly. Five times in a row they screwed up a simple "no mayo or cheese" burger order. The staff handling the drive up service seem a bit more capable of getting an order right, but I imagine most people want the drive through service.

As for fast food, Sonic has one of the most diverse menus. They have burgers, dogs, grilled cheese, and chicken sandwiches, Plenty of sides. Fries, tater tots, mozzarella sticks, poppers. Just to name a few. Ice cream sundaes and 49 milkshakes, slushies, and floats! My only complaint is that though the drive-in is a unique experience, it always seems like a hassle to order from the car or even at the sitting area. I hate not being able to go up to a condiment table for napkins and condiments. And worst of all, the Sonic drive-in experience sucks during bad weather. Lastly, I've noticed this at all Sonics, but their shredded lettuce on their sandwiches/ dogs is bagged and it has way too many presevatives in it. No matter what I get and what I put on it, I can always taste the preservatives. There was even a few times that my food wanted to come back up, which is crazy because I have a serious iron stomach. It hurts me to say that. But other than that, the food and the diverse menue are pretty damn good.

Milkshakes, tator tots, and everything in between, Sonic has every artery-clogging item on their menu you could dream up and they do a pretty good job. I have always had a soft spot for their banana milkshakes and long ago I used to get the chili cheese corn pie or whatever it's called now and it was ridiculously good. The hubby got a peanut butter and jelly milkshake and it was spot on. I noticed some other comments on service, so I should mention mine, too. We ordered a plain large tator tots and the girl at the window (after waiting a long time, but we got milkshakes, too) gave us cold tator tots. I was not going to waste calories on cold tots, so I sent them back and she managed to find hot ones- WTF?

I love the food at Sonic, but at this particular location, the service wasn't so great. I ordered a cheeseburger combo meal, with ketchup and mustard. Instead, I got a cheeseburger without fries, and missing ketchup altogether. Upon visiting another Sonic, I found out that you could get the cheeseburger "with the works" and as a combo. It turned out the guy who took our order at this Sonic just didn't know what he was doing. Otherwise, great location, and yummy food!

  • Joseph J.

This location used to be a joke. Used to take 15 mins to get food and the staff was not very friendly... They REALLY stepped it up and got a great new friendly/energetic staff with the NEW management. BUT they still consistently mess up your orders and depending on which shift you have..it can sometimes take a while for your food.. Fix it and you're golden.

I've always enjoyed Sonic in the past but this one was not very good. My stomach was not feeling good after and my friend was violently ill, which was not fun when we were 3.5 hrs from home and it was late at night. Go to a different one and hopefully you won't get sick. Standard fast food fare. Cherry limeade is usually bomb tho.

Now....I've been to Sonics in Austin and all over North Carolina....I guess the Northerners don't know what they're doing. The burger was so dry and the tots were tasteless. I ordered a limenade and it was meh. I will give this place one more try before the summer...I heard their hot dogs are alright at this location...we shall see and will provide an update when that happens.

Wow, for "fast food", this place is REALLY SLOW. And it wasn't even busy!! Boo.

  • Danan R.

Service is incredibly slow. Expect to wait at least 10 min/order. The chicken strips sandwich is a great deal for about $1.40 after tax. They actually use white meat tenders. The burgers are a bit dry but they do have tater tots, which are one of my favorite childhood foods. The Oreo blast is also quite good. I just wished that they actually made the fast food well, fast.

The greatest cheese burger.......of my life. Simple: meaty cheesy ketchup, mustard TWO pickles with ripples........milk shake.....as a side dish. Yes it's supposed to be fat! It's Satan's drive in!!!! OH THEY ARE NOT CLOSED!!!

Ok, I admit it.... I'm a SUCKER for a drive-in restaurant!!! My first experience with one was growing up in East Windsor, NJ where we had no FAST FOOD restaurants. You heard me!! lol The closest thing we had to that was called Stewart's Root Beer, which was a drive-in restaurant that served the best fries, hotdogs and rootbeer a kid my age had ever had!!! I loved Stewart's. So.... I guess nostalgia's one of the reasons I like Sonic. My first experience with one was in Delaware. At that time they had cheesesteaks. I ordered that and some tots and a flavored soda and was in a zone!!!! Don't even get me started on the dessert. (sundaes, mikshakes, pies..) My bf totally doesn't get my fixation with this place!! I love Sonic when I'm in a "screw- my- diet" mood. It's the perfect spot to get my "grease fix." Thank God I don't live near one! LOL

Got breakfast there over the weekend and the sausage burrito with a side of tots and the tots were greasy and overcooked however the burrito was not bad. Overpriced IMO considering you can go to a diner and get better quality food for just a little more.

This was my first time eating at Sonic. I was all excited about it too. I got just the regular hamburger and fries. The hamburger was pretty good. What I'd expect from a chain. The fries on the other hand, were meh. Kinda chalky to be honest. I'd go back if there wasn't a wendy's around....I don't think Sonic got me in a way that I'll be aching for it anytime soon.

I went to sonic twice. In one night. We went around 9:30pm and tried to order some limeade and tater tots and they were "out of limes." I ended up with one of the cream slushes and my friend tried the mango breeze beverage ("without the lime bc we're out of limes") which turned out to be a fruity soda. The cream slush was basically milkshake thickness with the addition of granita like ice crystals from the slush. The tots were under fried and not the crispy golden brown you can achieve with like frozen tots and your own oven. A few hours later ~1am we returned post dancing, drove up to one of the parking slots, put in our order for a large strawberry limeade and a large lime slush, more tots (my friend just wanted more tots despite their crappiness) and french fries. We waited to be told that they were out of limes, but instead they took the order, we paid using the little credit card slot and then we waited. And waited. And waited. One of the sonic employees walks over and says you guys have to go through the drive through, they're not letting anyone out with food and the speakers at the drive in slots were turned off and then everyone sitting in the drive in parking slots starts honking bc they (the drivers) are morons. One of the staff says we should have gone to mcdonald's and we say- we already paid. He talks to us way too much. Eventually the manager started walking out orders including for us, a medium sprite/7-up, large slush, fries and the tots and we had to get the soda switched for the limeade. The fries were also underdone and limp (I don't get how they can mess up with deep fried food- stop frying when it's crispy brown but not black!). Strawberry limeade-- GREAT STUFF. Refreshing, not overly sweet, with slices of strawberries hanging out at the bottom occasionally getting stuck in your straw. And this is why I would totally go back to Sonic despite the uneven staff and mediocre food.

who ever comes up with this idea that server should be in roller caste/blade, wants danger, liabilities, collateral damage. i just don't get this concept. you have to order outside and can seat in the outside limited seating or in your car. if you want to continue this business, management should better come up with safety and staff to monitor the traffic flow. in the summer, it's good but in the winter, i would not be hanging out in my car and running my gas so i can refill it in the next door gas station. in the south or sunny states, this might always work. here's an idea, if you want outdoor eating, try putting big flat screen tvs. then you can truly say, this fast food can outlast the times.

Really good chili cheese dog. Watermellon cream slushy is nice. No ketchup for fries and they only brought us one napkin each, ask for extra.

Being from NYC, I've never heard of Sonics but had it described to me as we exited the highway. I rarely eat fast food unless on a road trip so I was like a kid in a candy store looking over the menu. No, we didn't our order taken by a girl in skates but watching the whole scene unfold in the parking lot was like a scene out of Happy Days... and all was good, especially when i got my Route 44 sized cranberry limeade!

the wife and i went to sonic drive- in on street road today after weeks trying to get in the place. well the burgers and onion rings were real .i mean real onions for the rings not fake ones we had shakes and they were thick and very good as the burgers were. there a good size also.cant wait to try more of what they have to offer . i bet it will all be good.so get over there and enjoy your self and have some good food and it is also cool that you can order from your car and eat in it. if you are a clean freak and say eat in my car o my god i may get it dirty then stay home and eat your frozen dinners, then go clean your car. i say this because i saw a family and the husband was telling his wife im not eating here the kids will get this shit all over the inside of my BMW so they left. what a sad thing . i will never be like that.
