Healthy Meal suggestions for LongHorn Steakhouse

I like these chain steakhouses. No surprises and the steaks are delicious. The plates could've been cleaner but I expect this level of cleanliness when I visit these types of places. Anyway, we had a great meal and a good time. The service was also excellent. The dessert sampler was too much - cheesecake, apple something or other with ice-cream, and chocolate cake! I thought the price was very fair.

I wish it was possible to give this restaurant negative stars. Alright food, terrible service. Went here with my family for my brother's birthday and everything was extremely disappointing. I honestly don't even know where to begin. Let's start with the waitress. She had an attitude the whole time we were there. Of course we weren't expecting white glove service but it would have been nice to speak to her without her rolling her eyes at us. She messed up my father's order. He ordered the trout with shrimp and lobster. When it came out, we realized that the shrimp and lobster were missing. Instead of gracefully admitting her mistake, (the customer is always right, no?) she rolled her eyes and told us that it was our mistake and that he ordered the wrong thing. No hun, we all heard him. She told us that she would bring out the missing part of the meal. She did. Ten minutes later after he was done eating. Instead of giving it to him, she made a snide remark about him being done his food and then took it away. Weird. At least she didn't charge us for it. As for the food, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. My brother got the Porter House steak and was disappointed. Instead of it being rare, it was medium. I also heard that the rice pilaf is terrible. Overall, we're just more upset about the service. You shouldn't go out to a restaurant and get the feeling that the server is constantly annoyed with you. Management, if you read these, please do something about your servers because they're losing you business. We certainly aren't coming back. Oh more more minor detail. We were promised birthday ice cream but we didn't get any.

Horrendous service. We were seated right away, but 20 minutes later and still no server. We walked out and no one even noticed. Will never go back there.

went to longhorn tonight with a buddy of mine and sat at the bar. The beer from the tap was cold and the food was cooked/tasted very well as is usual @ longhorn. The only issues I can really comment on is that we both ordered alcohol with our meals and yet we were charged for sodas! I have been to a bunch of different longhorn s and only charged for soda when NOT ordering alcohol. If you are going to GOUGE customers for $2.80 for a damn coke then maybe it shouldn't be FLAT AS THE BAR-TOP !!! Had I known that I would not have gotten the soda at all. Going to the one in Hamilton Nj a from now on I guess. As far as I'm concerned this one is off my list. Five stars on the food , not so much on the service experience.

I went hear for lunch the other. It was not my first time at longhorne but this was probably my second time at this particular one. i had the texas toninon as a appertizer and the chicken sandwhich. Both items were good as expected. the place seem to be cleqan and the service was good but not great. The reason i gave tree stars not more or less is becasue it was good food but it's just another steakhouse chain so you pretty much know what your getting when you go there. There is no WOW factor.

This visit was nothing like the other Longhorn locations I have been too. Slow service? Yes Stale bread? Yes Overcooked steak? Yes Undercooked lobster? Yes Refills on my soda? No Once again, I made the mistake of not listening to the yelp reviews. I ignored them based on prior experiences with Longhorn in Arizona. I'll go back to the others, but certainly not this one.

Every time I come here I have a great meal decent prices, and the service is nothing to complain about. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants but I do enjoy eating here.

Oh Longhorn, where do I begin? Placed a large order for work.. when I'm talking large.. I'm talking dinner for 14 people. I'm not sure they even did anything right. Why would you not do a quality check when you have such large business.. ON A TUESDAY.. business you will likely never experience again, at least from us/me. First, we asked that they label everything by persons name.. which they were against, but that was our way of making it easier for them so they didn't forget anything. They reluctantly agreed. Next, they forgot an order, so we had to DRIVE BACK to pick it up. To make up for it they threw in a free appetizer... but that was enough to feed maybe 3 people... BUT OUR ORDER WAS FOR 14.. HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. They held up dinner for 14 people, so one measly appetizer is nothing close to a nice gesture. So then I unpack the meals back at the office... NOTHING was labeled correctly. Was this their way of showing us they were against the labeling? One of our salads did not have the chicken requested. The salmon was burnt to a crisp.. peep the picture below. Who wants burnt food? Clearly not my boss as he tossed his entire meal. This is a steakhouse.. COME ON. I've had better salmon from a Mexican restaurant!!! Get it together. They are only getting a 2 because my mislabeled meal tasted pretty good.. but I know there was no general consensus from the office on this one. Longhorn, you can say adios to ever hearing from me again... it's a shame, you probably could have gotten us every tuesday, but now you'll go back to having no business on tuesdays.

I always get the Flos Filet, medium rare because it's just that good. I can't tell you about everything else because I only get the flos. Also accompanied by a baked sweet potato, butter sugar n cinnamon on the side, makes for a great meal. Of the chains, one of my favorites. Exceeds outback by a mile in quality!

I don't generally make short reviews, but all i am going to say is that this is a steak place and they ran out of steak.....

Service was not acceptable as we watched the surrounding tables turn over twice before we received our meals The steaks were way over cooked and way to much Montreal seasoning

Too bad I can't leave a negative 5 stars. Good food terrible service. I wish I could tell you my waitresses name but she hasn't come to our table since she gave us our first drinks. Then she never brought out bread and I had to grab another waitress to ask for drinks which we never got. My boyfriend ate his entire meal with no drink refills and our waitress never came back to see if we needed anything except for the bill - others brought the salads and the side of dressing I asked for when I first ordered. Again I wish I knew her name but she hasn't come around much for me to even know.

Been here many times,, and usually have no problems. But tonight I had a few. And after the waitress asked how things were, I told her the truth. Not her fault, the cook must have been new and miss managed. Manager on duty was nowhere on the floor. I doubt ill boycott this location, but if I have another bad meal with this manager on duty, I will never return.

I actually didn't mean to put a star up.....I ordered take out an waited 10 minutes pass the time I was told to come get it. Meanwhile I gave 10 minutes in between each time I asked was my food ready an I was told the same thing each time. He's bagging it up. I waited in a total of 2 hours an was very upset (MADDASHELL) the manager was also one who gave me the bagging it up excuse. An after my last where is my food, here it comes with an 10 bucks off coupon......... RIGHT!!!!!! RIGHT!!!!!! RIGHT!!!!!! Give me 10 off that's the go to plan when a person gets madd free money will always make you happy......NO !!!! while the girl behind the manager is telling her co-worker "she just wanted a gift card". Can anyone say SLAAAAAAPPPPPP.....no I didn't do it but I could have busted her with that heavy ass bag they been stuffing for an hour. PPL OF LONG HORN BE HONEST AN CLEAN UP.

I like it here and their food is good. I love their bread, it's crunchy and delicious. Their bread is the best around. It's not doughy like some restaurants have. I am a bread eater. Was brought up on big loafs of french bread with butter. Their steak is pretty good but not AS GOOD as outback. Still it is tasty. I like the seasonings of the steak at outback. I don't eat meat that much just once a month if that. The salads are very good here. Very fresh greens. I like their chicken entrees too. Just plain good to me.

I was surprised how good the meal & service were at Longhorn. I hadn't been in years & years and went with a group of four last night. Everything was delicious, the steaks were cooked perfectly (if not just a tad more rare than ordered but that was OK), and our server was terrific. The manager even came to our table at one point to tell us our server had been called away for a few minutes for an emergency, and she wanted to know if we needed anything. A moment later the server arrived, very apologetic, and we sent him back to complete handling whatever situation they needed him for. We loved the communication and the seamless flow to our meal. My only somewhat negative comment was the shrimp appetizer...itty bitty tiny baby shrimp...nicely seasoned...with a little bowl of Ranch dressing for $10. I thought that compared to Bonefish Grill's nice sized Bang Bang shrimp (same price), these were not a good value. Otherwise will definitely be going back!

On Friday Jan 16th a group of us, six in total visited Longhorn in Bensalem, PA at Rockhill Dr for dinner. Out of the six family members, there are four of us celebrating birthdays. My Father, his girlfriend, my Aunt and me(48) all have birthday's in Jan. We've been coming to this Longhorn for a number of years because my Aunt is up there in age and can't drive too far and lives close to this location. I travel across the U.S for business and eat at the finest/most expensive steakhouses with my customers and my experience at your restaurant this particular night rates Longhorn right up there with Keens in NYC and Gibson's in Chicago. I write this not just because of the dinner we ordered but more so the service we received. Our server, named Carolynn D was outstanding. We found ourselves talking about her most of the evening and the exceptional service we received. She seemed excited for us to all be together as family and got the fact that we don't do this very often. When she found out that we were there celebrating four birthday's, she carried on several conversations with us all while still working hard for our table and her other tables. I made sure to tell her at the end of our experience that I was absolutely writing a letter as well as I spoke with the restaurant manager, who's name escapes me. We sat at table 45 and the check # was 39141. Thank you for hiring such a great server. My only regret is that I don't live closer to Bensalem, maybe Carolynn D can transfer to the Exton, PA location. Thank you, Ian Horowitz

3.15.14 It is 930+ and they close at 10 so takeout it will be. Sadly there is no more iced tea. Prime rib with mashed potatoes, sweet potato, asparagus, broccoli and bananas foster cheesecake... Stay tuned

Date night on a Wednesday. Ordered from the 2 for $29.99 menu. App, salad & entree. Love the shrimp. We like that they are small. Green & Caesar Salads were good. Caesar had the roots of the lettuce. My bf doesn't like that but it doesn't bother me. 8oz sirloins with mushroom. 1 med rare & 1 medium well. Both cooked perfectly. Baked potatoes were cooked nice and soft all the way through. Very friendly waitress who timed our meal perfectly. You can't beat this deal. So much food we took some home. It was a good night out.

This is my favorite place to get a steak or chicken at this time. I love their NY strips and their Sierra Chicken. Their baked potatoes and salads are delicious too. I like how they have sweet potatoes too because alot of the restaurants don't have them. I think their bread is delicious too, never stale. If u have only 1 person eating they bring u this little section of bread. I always ask for more. Their food is great.

Totally satisfied with our pre-movie dinner. My husband had a steak, cooked perfectly and well-seasoned, and I had a strawberry-pecan side salad, which was delicious, although I could have done with a bit less dressing. Most places drench their salads, I should have asked for it on the side. The margaritas were pretty good (they gave us the whole shaker for each, which came out to 2 glasses full woohoo!) but I must say my Desert Cactus marg was too sweet, especially paired with all that raspberry vinaigrette I was munching on. I wanted to try it because I hail from Texas and I must say cactus pear jelly is my favorite kind of jam, so I had to check it out. Oh well! My husband's pomegranate marg was way better, with just the right tart punch and not too sweet. I would have tried the dessert, but I was all sweetened out at that point. The decor is ALMOST over-the-top cowboy, but I think they pull it off nicely. It's dark and has a nice cozy western stone-cabin kind of feel. It's not too corny and I appreciate the metal artwork since metalwork is actually a traditional Texan artistic/utilitarian medium. The old timey photographs of women riding horses is pretty awesome too. I've been here before, (holy sweet potato!) but it's been a while. I don't remember having a bad experience, but I've been away so long since I've been trying to check out local places vs chains. But if I were going to choose a place near the mall, it would be this place over the others for sure.

I don't know how they do it, but they have a mighty good cheeseburger! I think it is the flame broiling and knowing when to flip it! My hubby likes their steaks, he chooses either the 22 oz. porterhouse or the strip steak. The filet is okay, not the best I have ever had, but okay. Much better than Outback any day of the week! I love their huge baked sweet potatoes loaded with butter and brown sugar and cinnamon. Their ribs are okay, I've had better and their sides are much better than most chain restaurants with asparagus, rice, mushrooms and brandied apples. I was bummed when they removed the Sante Fe Shrimp appetizer from the menu! Actually I haven't been back since. check out their menu @ longhornsteakhouse.com/p…

Nice place. Always clean and the food is very good. This is the only place that I have found to serve a really good cut of Prime Rib, 90% of the time. The steaks are just OK but the appetizers are awesome. Wild West Shrimp is super yummy! The Chocolate Stampede dessert is the best. It is huge and the chocolate cake is really moist!
