Delicious, friendly staff, and not crowded at all unlike state college location. Pancakes are possibly better than the waffles. Peanut butter pancakes were extraordinary! Giant servings of bacon, too. Cash only, but there's an ATM there as well.

This place is great! I love that I don't have to venture into State College to get some of my favorite breakfast. I get to avoid the college and football traffic/volume as well! This place is even a little cheaper than the stores in State College. The host or hostess is always pleasant and friendly. I've even gotten take out that has been on point with my special requests. My favorite meal here is the banana nut waffles with blueberry syrup - YUM!! Their sausage gravy and biscuits follows closely. My food has always been hot and correct and the service very good.

This place has always been one of my favorite breakfast establishments. Unfortunately my last two times there weren't very good. Once we ordered our drinks and food at the same time because it took awhile for the waiter to get to us. Next thing we know, our food shows up from someone different and we still didn't get our drinks. Our waiter was nowhere to be found so we had to flag down the hostess to get our drinks. Then he never came back to ask if we needed anything and to see if our food was correct. The second and last time we saw him it was to drop out check off. Our more recent trip my boyfriend requested a side of peanut butter with his pancakes (it's very good if you've never tried it) the waitress said she would but then we didn't see her for awhile so my bf got tired of waiting and he ate them without it. Plus my food was on the cool side. All of the staff have always been super nice and accommodating. We just weren't able to locate them when we needed them. I will continue to go back because it is a great place to go. I may have to just speak up more about my issues.

Love the food and the service here, and they are always clean and quick for breakfast. But beware of their pricing - found out today when I was charged $6.95 for a $5.95 item --menus are apparently priced for weekday pricing but on the weekends they up charge a dollar on most items. There is nothing stating this in the menu so just be aware you will be charged more than what the price is on the menu!

Great breakfast and lunch food. The atmosphere is simple and cheery. The prices are affordable, and the service is great! The coffee is absolutely delicious: mild, nutty, and naturally sweet. Expect your waitress to offer to refill it at least 10 times before you leave. Bring cash. Credit cards and checks are not accepted. Fortunately, an ATM is available onsite.

My husband loves this place. I don't know if it is the greasy food or the welcoming atmosphere, but he thinks it's great. I think it 's about average for a coffee shop diner. Pros: locally sourced Bacon, the Bellefonte location is usually less crowded than the other ones, the parking is easy and the staff is really friendly. Cons:sometimes the food isn't the freshest, the interior could use an update and they only take cash.

I ordered scrambled eggs, sausage and pecan pancakes. It's silly, but I was happy that the two plates were garnished with orange slices and parsley. The eggs and sausage were good and the pancakes were some of the best I've ever had with lots of pecans. With pancakes these good, they should offer maple syrup; pouring maple-flavored corn syrup on the stack felt like slathering a fine steak in cheap catsup. A bonus is that Bellefonte has some great Victorian era architecture. A few places you can see from the Waffle Shop. I'm looking forward to my next cross country trip and stopping for pancakes here again! Beware - cash only.

Only place open early Sunday AM for a cup of coffee. Haven't tried the waffles yet. Friendly and bright atmosphere. And very popular.

I've only had breakfast here, and it was very good. I had a broccoli and cheddar omelette and enjoyed it. The red skinned potatoes they serve with the egg dishes are delicious. Doug tried the eggs Benedict and said they were very well executed. Nicely poached eggs, perfect hollandaise and excellent ham. But the real winner here is the waffle our companion ordered... a wonderfully light and tasty waffle topped with really good strawberries and whipped cream. Service is excellent, and they keep the coffee flowing.

The food has a great country flavor to it, especially the breakfast. I have been here frequently and enjoy it every time. Make sure to bring cash or local check as they do not accept ATM or credit cards. Quarters will be needed for parking fees.
