Good pizza and sandwiches. A good value for the money. A little on the greasy side, but still really darn tasty.

Wow!!!! We left a neighboring restaurant because of a horrible menu renovation and I am glad we did. THIS is what a great Italian restaurant should be. Their menu is one of the best in State College/Bellefonte area. Plenty to choose from, and very descriptive. Their Garlic knots were fantastic on their own, their home made "gravy" puts them over the top. The Pizza Frittes were amazing. Fresh cut fries topped with sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Now for the Pizza... I have had pizza in 4 other restaurants in Bellefonte, and this was truly the best. The crust was crisp without being crunchy, the meats were flavorful, in fact, their sausage comes from a local butcher, Hogs Galore, so you know it's fresh. Everything was made perfectly. My buddy got a Chicken Parmesan Sub, and it was HUGE! It was thick with chicken sauce and cheese on home made bread. In fact it was so big, he took half home! They offer a large variety of desserts, but the second I heard the word "Cannoli", my choice was made, and I enjoyed every bite. The shell was sweet and crisp, but didn't shatter when cut. The filling was probably the smoothest ricotta filling I've ever had, and I've been eating cannoli for 30 years. Let's go into the last section and that's the service. The people there were awesome, they explained the menu to us, great service and great conversation. The manager or owner talked with us, told us a little about the place, and was a genuine nice guy, and our server was wonderful as well... I never got to the bottom of my soda... All in all, I am glad we left the restaurant across the street, because we found a new place that we, not only will eat there frequently, but bring our friends as well.

We had a lovely meal here. The food was clearly prepared with care. Décor is fun and quirky. Prices reasonable. Excellent bistro experience!

Great atmosphere. Not fancy, decorated on a budget, but very charming. I think I will take away some decorating ideas for my own house. Staff is very friendly. If we weren't traveling through, this would be a regular place for us.

This place serves the best Italian food in Bellefonte, and that is saying a lot since there are many Italian restaurants in town. The sauce tastes of fresh tomatoes and is perfectly seasoned. Best of all, it is not sweet, a rarity in Bellefonte. The pizza is delicious with a crispy crust that is soft on the inside. The lasagna is cheesy and filling.

The food was not good save the pizza. we went in after receiving coupons in the mail that weren't honored because the waiter said he had only moved to the front recently and didn't know of coupons. The menu is really lengthy and just..generally gross/boring. I will say the pizza was good, we ended up getting the plain cheese and fortunately BYOB made it deal-with-able but I can't picture myself eating here often.

Friendly staff. Open later than other downtown restaurants. Ample portions and amazing lasagna! Take your own wine or beer and buy your dinner with the savings.

I went there for supper on Sunday, 15 June, the weekend of the Bellefonte Cruise, and, as such, was surprised to find that it (and really the rest of the village) wasn't busy. I ordered the linguine alla fresca. It was a healthy portion and prepared well; it was served quickly and preceded by a garden salad and a slice of garlic bread. The service, at first, was rather gruff. Upon my entering, the waitress kind of looked at me, 'What the fuck are you doing here?', and somewhat continued with that attitude through the first part of my meal. However, I remained polite, and she reciprocated on politeness and pleasantness after a while. Personally, I like it when people treat others the way they are treated, but some people might be turned off by that attitude. To be clear, the service was fine, overall. Recommended. Though I haven't tried any of the other Italian sit-down places in Bellefonte, Bella II seems to compare favourably to Faccia Luna in State College and be a bit better than Rotelli in State College.

Who knew!? My expectations for this place were decidedly low (no offense to the proprietors). The city of Bellefonte has oodles of charm but is past its sell-by-date. A lot of storefronts are closed and everything for sale seems to be "antique" but mostly just old and used up. The Blonde Bistro has definite charm and LEGITIMATELY good (dare I say authentic?) food. The bruschetta was fabulous and my veggie pizza was unlike anything I've ever eaten before (in a refreshingly wonderful way). The only complaint from our table was that some items were a tad over salted and there did seem to be a lot of oiliness to just about everything. However, I didn't come here expecting macrobiotic food so I wasn't too bothered. Serving sizes are pretty large and the food is heavy so splitting a main course might be helpful. Oh and the blondes working the joint are saucy!

Don't be fooled by the huge signs in both windows- Pizzas are NOT $7 as advertised. Walked in off the street to order- I was the only customer aside from a couple that was leaving. Pie still took 20 minutes to make.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
