So I went back to the Home Delivery Pizza Pub while up in the area on business. My father first took me here about 3 years ago and I can say that if the food weren't as good I would have given the place 2 stars. Now here's why. First Christmas music was playing over the speakers. Odd in May.... More odd was the waitress. I got ignored for the big table that came in. She also sat down across from me in an empty seat when I ordered. Then I practically had to stand on my head to get her to take my desert order. Like I mentioned the food is good. I would be back for dinner, but ask fro a different waitress.

Don't order the Little Italy grinder. Way too much bread. Wife ordered the uncle Guido's steak wrap and really enjoyed it. Great beer selection, though!!! I'll definitely come back because the menu is extensive, but that grinder was the worst I've had in a long time.

Fast and very friendly service. Food was good and better than what you would expect from a pizza/sandwich restaurant. Very much worth a try.

Most of the food here is good - the problem is consistency. Many of their specialty pizzas (bbq chicken, taco) are delicious, but we can tell when a new or perhaps lazy person makes them, because sometimes they are downright terrible. The onion rings are one of our favorites, the paninis are usually pretty good. Service is also inconsistent. Sometimes we get good service, other times it is mediocre at best. Avoid the pricey cocktails - they are not worth it. Lastly, I'd say dining in is more consistent than take-out. It seems as if the kitchen thinks it can slack off when the food will be leaving the building.

We had a very nice lunch today. The wait staff was very attentive, and friendly. The food was good. The medium size salad was tasty and the perfect portion. The onion rings were huge! They had a bread crumb on them and were very yummy. We had a very nice lunch - and none of the problems mentioned in the previous reviews.

I reviewed this place about a year ago and really liked the milk stout. This time i played golf nearby and got a little wet & tired. Thought the coffee stout might do the trick and boy was I right! Very, very heavy in the coffee dept. and the creaminess from the nitro just took it to the next level. Food is well above average. Tried the Pittsburgh Steak (w/ egg) and it was great. Not quite Primanti Bros (the bread does make a difference) but not bad at all for Happy Valley. Hailey, our waitress was friendly and very knowledgeable! A+++ for the Coffee Stout on Nitro!

Used to love to eat here. But since they changed the menu to go along with the beer the food has gone down hill. Very disappointed and missing what used to be a favorite of my family.

Just had a lovely dinner. Wedding soup was delicious. Glutin Free pizza with mushrooms and spinach was best I've had! Waitress, Rosa was so perfect! This place is clean, atmosphere is great, food is terrific. We had a lovely evening. And will definitely be back.

Very good place for burgers and pizza! Large selection of beers to please any customer. 10!!! Wide screen TVs to make everyone happy. Prices are reasonable, too. Whenever you are in the State College, Pa area, I highly recommend this place!

We were very pleasantly surprised. I've been seriously underwhelmed by the State College location (though this was years ago and my understanding is that they're under new ownership). Following up on a recommendation from husband's colleague, we came in on a Friday night for the $9.99 pizza special (any size/toppings) and to try the home-brewed beers. My beer flight (pale/red/brown ales, milk stout, and porter) was excellent. Sorry my limited beer knowledge and vocabulary prevent me from saying more. They seem to have quite a variety on tap, and I really enjoyed all of the ones I tried. I tend to land on the malty end of the beer preference spectrum, if that helps. We went with artichoke hearts, sundried tomatoes, pesto, and roasted red peppers. Excellent pizza. We both loved it. Flavorful, generous toppings, good quality cheese and decent sauce. The pizza came out quite quickly, which was great: I was very hungry and didn't have to wait. YAY! We opted to sit on the bar side, which is sports-bar-ish but not in a bad way. We will be back.

Robin Hood brewing is awesome. I wish I was going back through PA soon so I could drop in again. Great pizza too! Try the meat lovers.

Excellent place for great food, beer and watching the game. The staff is very kind and I never have to wait for service.

Good pizza and bar fare. Can be slow. They brew their own beer under Robin Hood Brewing Company. Had their Philly Cheesesteak. It was unremarkable but filing.

This place is HEADS AND TAILS far more superior than the Atherton Street location. The service is stellar, and the food is much higher quality. Great wings, great pizza, great place to eat!!!

The Panzanella Salad is a winner. Red peppers tomatoes olives greens prosciutto cheese etc. Really very tasty. I recommend

I went to the Home Delivery Pizza Pub with a large group. The inside of the restaurant seemed nice, clean, and welcoming. The service was good as well. The food...not so much. For appetizers, our group ordered wings and provolone sticks. Everyone seemed to enjoy the wings, but they weren't my cup of tea. The provolone sticks were spectacular, however! I'd never seen them on a menu before (usually just mozzarella sticks), and they definitely exceeded my expectations. For my dinner I ordered the Very Berry Salad and a slice of cheese pizza. The pizza was decent and I enjoyed it, but it wasn't remarkable. My salad was plated in an odd way--many of the items were separated from others on the plate, instead of being tossed like an ordinary salad. The blueberry vinaigrette was good, but the pancetta on the salad was so salty it was inedible and the slices of watermelon didn't taste quite right. My salad came with a piece of grilled bread that I would have loved to eat, but it was burnt too badly to be palatable. There were some other issues at the table. My boyfriend ordered Italian Wedding Soup, and thought it just tasted like watered down chicken broth. His brother's fiancé had the Fettuccine Alfredo and found it bland. It also seemed like there was too much flour in the sauce. His aunt had a Caesar Salad and she liked it, but the piece of bread that came with her salad was freezer burnt. Everyone else seemed to enjoy the food--burgers, calzones, pizza, chicken sandwiches. It was just us 4 that had some problems. All in all, not awful, but this restaurant needs to work on its consistency. Some items were incredible, and some were inedible. If I were you, I'd give this place a chance, since the pizza is pretty good and the provolone sticks are to DIE FOR. Just stay away from the Fettuccine Alfredo! (it's one of the most unhealthy restaurant meals anyway)

Ok, I should preface this with this pertains more to the location in the Bellefonte area. We have ordered from this location multiple times and not once has our order arrived at our door correctly. And when I have called the management, they act like its my fault I ordered food that did not arrive in my order. They are rude and did not even apologize. The food is decent but I have given this place multiple chances and they fail in their service time and time again. Its disappointing because I prefer to give my business to local places vs. the chains but they just not have measured up.

I've been to this place twice to give them the benefit of the doubt. The first time was dinner. I sat at the bar for over 10-minutes before one of the bartenders finally asked if I was being served. There were at least 3 bartenders and the bar wasn't full, maybe a 1/3 of the seats were filled and it's not a huge bar. The second time, I went with my brother and we at down at a booth. It took awhile for the waitress to finally come over and take our order. After we completed our order, a family of 4 came in and sat at a table. The waitress had taken their order, the family of 4 were served and had paid their bill and left before we received our meal. Poor customer service. Honestly, the food isn't that bad. Not the greatest but not terrible either. Food: Okay Customer Service: Very poor and slow to prepare and bring out food. *I've never been back to this restaurant.
