Convenient location just off the I-80. Walked in on a rainy Friday in March, it was literally pouring, but it was pretty busy considering the weather. Asked for a table for 2 and was told 30-45 minutes. Hey no big deal, I'm from NYC where an hours wait for a table is nothing to flinch at. Took the alarm and proceeded to the bar to have a drink, before I could even decide what I wanted here comes the buzz buzz buzz, I certainly thought it was a mistake. Now back to the host station and I handed it over "your table will be ready in 2 minutes". So why even give out the remote? What are you trying to prove? It's Longhorn Steakhouse not a Gordon Ramsay establishment, come on folks, there is nothing exclusive here. Anyhow, I had a coupon for a free appetizer, I got the wild west shrimp I believe it's called, it was huge, more than enough for two, I had to take some of it to go. The steak was cooked well and the portion was worth the money. A ribeye that is decent for $20? That simply doesn't exist anywhere else... Grab a coupon and go, it's worth it!

Went for lunch got the black and blue burger which was good, wish they had mozzarella stix for the kids they love getting them but nope they don't have them, I was hoping for some fried shrimp but maybe that's on the dinner menu.

The food was very tasty for chain restaurant. I have never been to a longhorn steakhouse before, I think its better than outback! Loves: -We had the bread which was soo good, soft and warm! -Appetizer was Spinach dip. This was the norm, cant really mess this up. -Dinner was salmon in a honey bourbon glaze, chicken with feta cheese, steak and salads. Everything was great! Perfect portion size and tasty. Dislike: Service: The waitress kept forgetting stuff. We kept having to flag her down to ask for either our drinks, food or utensils. Very annoying. And she then would blame someone else, like "oh I thought they were going to bring the drink out to you". They ran out of tilapia!! It was on 2 sections of the menu and they ran out! I was soo looking forward to the lighter version of the tilapia and was let down when the waitress told me they ran out. Your a huge steakhouse chain, how do you run out of fish? Either way, I will be back because the food and price was worth it. I can deal with shoddy service for good food.

This was second choice after we had a RUDE hostess at Red Lobster across the street. My family and I had never been to Longhorn so we didn't know what to expect. We were in for a surprise!!! We were greeted and seated within 5min. The waiter "Martin" was such a sweetheart. He kept checking on us and made sure everything was perfect. ((great eye candy as well))The bread was good, soups were good, steak was good...everything was perfect. We came from a nearby water park & celebrated my sons birthday and all 8 of us were pleased!! Great work! We will be going back next time we are in the Poconos. I gave it all stars for the food but mainly for the Waiter Martin and his hospitality.

We had a great dinner there last night. The staff remembered my father, who used to go there more often in the past with my mother. Our server was very nice and good at his job!! Our food was very good, and we would go back to this location again!! Thanks everyone!!

Sadly a real disappoint tonight at Longhorn. After driving a few hours in traffic we decided to stop in for a good dinner. Debated between Chilis and here,......should have gone to Chilis. Service was beyond slow both with wait staff and kitchen. 30 mins for salad, forgot the bread, no plates for apps and was nearly invisible. All of that seems like a distant memory now as we pass 2 hours waiting on our steaks and baked potatoes. Kids want to cancel and head to McDonalds, manager said they were short staffed. Hope they figure it out soon.

Absolutely good steakhouse. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh, good quantities and reasonable priced. I was a little irritated though that they have the tables too close to the booths.

5 Stars for our server. Hostess had a bit of an attitude as the restaurant was understaffed so we had a wait. Couldn't sit where we wanted. We were about to leave but our waitress came by lol. She was great as she was also tending bar, poor girl. How weird that management had an understaffed restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. The food was OK. Salmon a bit tough but edible. The shrimp and sweet fritters were OK. I will not return, pricey and I am not really a chain-food girl. But our waitress worked her ass off!!!! We did not get bread!!!! That sucks!!!!

Horrible service, the food was cold and soggy. I asked for a medium rare steak and it came out totally raw. When I asked the waitress to please have the cook put it on for a moment more, she sucked her teeth and said well this is our medium rare. Appetizers came out an hr in a half after being there, our salad was soggy from sitting in the dressing. We waited 2 hrs for silverware, then received two sets from two different waiters. None the less our meals were comp... The couple next to us also got their meals comp due to cold food and the ridiculous wait. NEVER AGAIN!!

This is a great steak house. Conveniently located on RT-611, right off of RT-80, it's serves as a great place to stop and grab dinner, even if you're just passing through. If not, it's near all the stores and a short five to ten minute drive will see you eating here when spending the day out at any of the plethora of shopping outlets. The steaks are good and whenever I've been there they've always been cooked to perfection. I like my steaks well-done, and believe it or not, Longhorn is the only steak house I've been to that has cooked a good well-done steak correctly. I never had a complaint about the food. The service is always timely and the waiters have always been friendly and available to serve. I never had to chase anyone down or log a complaint about the wait staff. Everything is always in top condition, which really serves to make my meal that much more enjoyable. If you're looking for a good steak house that'll give you a good dinner and timely service, then this is the place for you. They'll definitely be seeing much more of me for the foreseeable future.

Stopped here on my way back to NY after visiting Great Wolf Lodge around 4pm. Restaurant was clean, except for men's room...papers on floor, trash can overflowing. Our drinks and food took a while to come. Kids ordered baked potatoes and they were all cold. My meal, Parmesan Crusted Chicken was very salty. The rest of the meals were okay.

We went Friday night ..I have to say we waited over 20 mins at the bar for drinks and then the drinks tasted mediocre ..mainly like mix.. 2 bartenders and both slow like it wasn't busy ... The saving grace was the food we had the filet mignon amazing ..and the strip was great .. I wouldn't go back unless I want to make my own drinks..

It was super packed. My friend's steak was over cooked but the manager changed it right away. Not a fan of rice, but it was pretty okay here. Grilled stuff mushrooms are amazing, cheesy and melts right into your mouth and almost heavy. Chicken wraps seem like it was from costco.. Shrimp and Lobster dip was light on the lobster. Shrimp and Lobster Chowder was delicious! Filet and Lobster tail were both cooked to perfection! I loved my choice! Salad was salad and pretty good too -- nothing to complain about here

Don't believe all the workers reviews. This restaurant has slow service and waitresses with attitudes. My family and I waited over an hour for lunch and it was empty. Waitress was inattentive and disappeared for long durations leaving us with empty glasses. No one else approached us or attempted to help us. The kicker is the waitress was rude when we asked her for anything. So take your money elsewhere and you'll be happier.

Great service the food is delish. We waited 10 min for a table and it was great that it was not a long wait. The waiter was really nice checked in on us and made sure everything we ordered was to our satisfaction, and it was. Their firecracker chicken was so good. And tortilla soup was spicy (I love spicy food) it was so delicious. Over all it was great experience. I would definitely come back here.

Came here for dinner this past weekend. I am a NYer and when in NY, fast service is expected, so I have to say, the laid back attitude was something that took getting used to. We were seated after about 5-10 mins of waiting. Our server was really nice and helpful, especially as it was a busy Friday night. We ordered the onion strings, which were super tasty and the bread on the table was great. When we finished the first loaf, our server immediately brought out a second one. The wait for our food was a bit long, 45 mins in fact. When our meals finally came out, I was starving. I cut into my steak and immediately saw a hair beneath it. We told the waitress and she apologized profusely and brought it back. She came back and asked if I wanted more bread, another salad or a soup, etc. I was just interested in eating my meal, so I declined, but it was nice. My boyfriend, whose meal was fine, was waiting on me to eat. The manager came over next and apologized. HE took my boyfriend's food and heated it up and also replaced his half eaten potato with a fresh one. My food finally came out (hair-free) and it was delish. The manager and the server were really helpful and nice about the entire situation and they even comped my meal, which was totally not necessary. If you guys are reading this, thank you again! And next time I am in the area, I will definitely be back :)

Great restaurant. Server was an absolute sweetheart. Food was alright but for a steakhouse, most of the steak was fat. (got the 11oz ribeye)

We went back here because the last time a few months back, the food was ok. But the waitress was rude uninterested and condescending. Then they bring out a Sierra mist with a bug in it. Then they did not even apologize. The burger was requested to be med-rare but what they brought out was charred. Finally I ordered chicken sandwich with onion rings but what I got was sweet potato. And I am allergic to it. Not sure what happened but this place is pretty bad and has no customer service to speak of. They added a 15% gratuity and to be honest I would rather not have given a tip at all.

Everytime I'm here the food is good ... the service is good .... the portabella mushroom appetizer is one of my favorites! Sangria is very good ! The only con is trying to order take out is nearly impossible. I have tried a couple times and they put you on hold for 20 minutes and not even during dinner rushes.

Longhorn Steakhouse is really a reliable place to go when you're in the mood for some BBQ or a good sandwich. I've had a variety of their things and everything (from the BBQ ribs to a sandwich/salad combo for lunch) has been very tasty. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good too. I would definitely recommend!

Went to this place on a Tuesday night. Had to wait a half hour for a table. Empty tables all over the place though. They were severely understaffed. Ordered drinks and appetizers. They took a long time to come and we had to ask for plates so we could eat them. The food wasn't bad but the way they were so understaffed just made us all annoyed. Don't think I would return to this location.

I have eaten here now 4 times. The food is mediocre at best. The last time i ate here, a few weeks ago, the food was almost unedible. I almost sent the food back. The filet mignon is pretty poor quality.

This was our second time here on our ski vacation. We liked it so much the first time we decided to come back. The prices are extremely fair for the quality and quantity of food. Our waitress, Aylin, was very sweet and accommodating. She made some good recommendations, and was polite and cordial. A real professional. I would definitely recommend Longhorn Steakhouse.

Love it here. Sometimes the service is off but other times it is on. The food is great sometimes you need to remind them how to cool a steak. The rare is very very rare. I've had to send steaks back two or three times but it is so good once they get it right.

I'm surprised.. I always love longhorns food but I am discouraged from going to this location because the service is always horrid!!. I have been a server for years so I understand to an extent...but their service is just unacceptable! The past 3 experiences there have left me very dissatisfied. First time my friend and I waited. ..get this..21 minutes before anyone even greeted us at the table!! No bread..server forgot. .and order came out wrong. Second time we had a new server and they charged us for an extra meal! Good thing I noticed the check was too high! Third consecutive time the server waited 15 minutes to tell me they were out of my steak I ordered. .then brought the wrong appetizer! Awesome food. But man if good service is a priority for you..you may not want this longhorns location.

I came here for dinner with my family during a family vacation and the experience was ok. Normally this chain has both excellent service as well as good but the service tonight was horrendous. Between forgetting drink orders and then getting a persons order wrong three times it was quite the experience. The food was good but the experience was not.

Ah Chain Restaurants. LongHorn has decent food, nothing spectacular but boy do they give you a TON - Of - It! The Homemade Chips and Creamy BBQ dip was pretty delicious. And the Honey Wheat bread was good. The Caesar Salad was good. The Ribeye steak very flavorful but fatty. Cooked to perfection, which is not easy to find at many chain restaurants. The Baby Back Ribs were fall off the bone saucy but 25% of it was fat. Some may like that but there's a limit to how much fat one should consume in a meal. The sides - Mashed Potatoes - OK. It was doused in butter, how can you go wrong? The Mac and Cheese with 4 cheese and bacon was pretty darn good. All in All, the portions were extremely good, the price was very affordable. I would go back but Red Robin, nearby, may sway me.

My family and I came to this longhorn for dinner and what a disappointment!!! After a 45 minute wait we finally got seated. At first glance I noticed every table around us had cloth napkins and we were given cocktail paper napkins. I asked for napkins and the waitress gave us the same cocktail napkins. We ordered our drinks and appetizer which was ok. Then we put in our main entres, I orded the porterhouse which comes with 2 sides. I asked for french fries and Mac n cheese. The waitress said it would be an additional $1.99 for the Mac n cheese which I didn't understand because it was not on the menu and I've been to other longhorns that didn't charge extra for this. The waitress asked me how would I like my steak cooked so I said medium. The waitress said to me warm pink center and I said yes. I just continued my order and didn't question it. Then my wife orders the same porterhouse as me cooked the same exact way medium. She also asked for the house steak sauce. The waitress said it would be an additional $1.99 for the steak sauce. Which, I didn't understand because at other longhorn locations they don't charge for steak sauce when you order a steak. We odered for my son a steak dish from the kids menu cooked medium well. We waited about 25 min for our food to come out and in between the wait the waitress came over to apologize for the wait on the food. Finally the food arrived and I proceeded to cut into my sons steak which, we ordered medium well. I was horrified the way the steak was cooked. It was completely rare in the center, looked like a masecure on his plate. I called the waitress over and showed her my sons steak which, was completely under cooked and unedible. She seemed horrified herself and apologized several times and took the plate away. My wife and I proceeded to cut into our steaks to feed our son. But, noticed the same exact problem with our steak. Both steaks were completely rare in the center. We waited about 15 min before a manager came over to our table and asked if everything was ok. We explained to her our steak situation and she totally agreed then took our steaks back to be cooked the way we asked for it in the first place. We waited another 15 minutes for the steak platter to come out and noticed the steaks were still rare and to top it all off they forgot to bring back my Mac n cheese which, I paid an additional $1.99 for. To say the least my family and I were highly dissapoin tied and won't be returning to this location again.

Restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign. We were seated right away, without having to wait.. food was good, service was good, really cant complain. Menu was pretty basic for a steakhouse, nothing special.

Very down to earth spot with yummy food. Definitely better than your run of the mill Applebees or Fridays. My friends and I went there because we were snowboarding in the Poconos. It wasn't all that crowded because we went on Christmas Eve. Yeah, we don't care about our family.. haha Our portions were big, steaks juicy and nothing to complain about. The staff were very friendly for having to work on X-mas Eve.

Stopped by as I was leaving poconos to go back home. Had the craving for steak and so stopped by here with my girlfriend. We didnt want to eat much so we just stuck with the bread they give you (amazing) and just the new $12.99 special where you get a steak, side, and salad. She also got a blackberry mojito which was really good. Our waitress was great and such a sweetheart. Good food, price, and people!

Very accomodating to those who have multiple allergies (such as my mom). They also have a gluten free menu. The Garlic and Onion steak I had was good (although a tad dry and more onions than garlic) and my mom's allergen-free shrimp kebabs were awesome-they used regular butter and lime to season. Try the Campfire Brownie-it is quiet good. Their manager, Megan, is AWESOME.

Atmosphere fun. Food, disappointing. We went for lunch. Entrees were 9.99 and up, which is pretty steep for lunch. Parmesan crusted chicken way too salty. Rice average. Napa chicken half the size of the Parmesan chicken, for nearly the same price. The plate dwarfed it. French onion soup looked good on the menu but it was also too salty and nothing special. The house salad was the best part. It was crispy and cold. Even the bowl was cold. Bread was average. Would have been really good with honey butter rather than plain. Service was acceptable but we were not asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and after all that salty food we left very thirsty.

Yummy drinks...and great service!! While we waited we sat at the bar and our tab was transferred to our table. The steak was cooked just right when I ordered it.

OMG what happened. I have been to the Longhorn in Flanders, NJ and it was way so much better. I had the pepper steak salad and it came out partially sliced in huge hunks, I had to request a steak knife. The meat was very chewy. My spouse's steak, the ribeye was very fatty and they tried to make it up with her by providing another steak which had a chemical taste. Returned it. They did try to make good, but it was a very disappointing experience.

This is a chain restaurant but I didn't realize it until after I went there the second time. Darden Restaurants, from Orlando, Fla., owns and operates this restaurant, Red Lobster, and Olive Garden in the Poconos plus a few other chains I've not seen in the area. It's Texas-theme is great, the decor is just lovely. The restaurant is family-friendly but also nice for couples. They have a beautiful bar and people definitely head there to watch sports, those who are looking for a classy feel without a very high price tag. The steak was amazing, mashed potatoes the best I've had (ever?), and the menu offers lots of seafood selection and sides. It took a year before I went back after the first visit, but now I'm wondering what took so long? I expect we'll go back soon -- perhaps just as a couple for date night.

I'm not a fan of chain steakhouses - I generally dislike Outback and Boulder Creek - the food seems machine processed and the steaks are either flavorless, improperly cooked or both. All the side dishes and appetizers they can offer you don't make up for a lousy steak - at a steakhouse. But we were passing through from New York and decided to stop for dinner and try LongHorn, which we had never been. We were very pleased! This location is clean and the interior, while somewhat dark, gave the look of a serious steakhouse, Texas country style. It was nicely decorated. We were seated promptly, and our waiter was attentive without being pushy. I was initially put off by the menu as it seemed 50% of the items had some kind of cheese in them - which I don't care for - and they looked otherwise appetizing. I settled on the big Outlaw Ribeye with baked potato and mixed green salad. I didn't think cheese was a mixed green but right there in the bowl was a pile of shredded cheese - why do restaurants ruin a perfectly good salad with that? I could have sent it back for one without cheese, but gave the cheese to my wife instead. Dinner entrees came out in a fair amount of time. Daughter had the grilled chicken avocado sandwich and it was very good - altho the avocado was more of a guacamole and not sliced (it was featured with - cheese - but my daughter ordered it without). Wife had the New York strip and it was cooked exactly right. Son had the kids special Sirloin and for a 10 year old it was a perfect portion and you cannot beat the price... it was also perfectly cooked. One nice feature is that the menu exactly defines the doneness descriptions - as one person's idea of medium-rare might be another's idea of blue! My ribeye came out and the initial cut on the edge was about the medium i ordered, perhaps a tad more. The waiter did ask us if our steaks were correct and at the point it was ok. My next cut into center was well-done leather. It took a couple of minutes to flag down the waiter and he promptly ordered me a new steak without question. Now of course the rest of the family was already eating. The waiter did offer me a complimentary appetizer or side dish while I was waiting, but I opted for more of the honey wheat bread, which was very good. When my ribeye finally arrived, the family was almost finished. The manager brought it out and apologized for the mistake, making no excuses. She said she would make it right, and indeed, I was not charged for the steak. This was more than I expected, and you rarely find this anymore at a restaurant - most places will argue with you over your meal or make an excuse and smile at you. This was truly exceptional service. In return, we doubled the usual 15% tip. The second steak was perfect, and in fact was one of the best rib eyes I have had out (and we do go to name steakhouses in New York) - and yes I thought so before I knew she was taking the steak off the bill. The seasoning was just right without being overdone, and the meat was juicy yet well-trimmed. I've ordered more expensive ribeyes at other restaurants that were fatty and not nearly as well seasoned. The baked potato comes standard loaded with butter, sour cream, chives and baked - i ordered mine with just butter and I think it could be improved in general by added a salt exterior. The desserts were incredibly good, more than I expected at a chain restaurant. We split the Chocolate Stampede and Molten Lava Cake and they were excellent! I highly recommend this LongHorn based on the attractive and clean interior, attentive and friendly service, excellent food quality and price point. It really doesn't get much better than this for the money.

We came here for my birthday. We've been in the area about 9 months and have driven by many times, but this is the first time we've ate here. Before we decided, I checked out their menu online, and they entice you a tiny bit if you sign up for their emails, you get a free appetizer. The prices seemed about the norm for other steak houses. For dinner it was myself, my husband and our 1 year old daughter. Our server was very attentive brought out bread, we did have to ask for water though, she took our drink and appetizer order, I had a few moments to look at the kids menu before she came to our table, she asked if we wanted to get our daughter's order in as well. YES PLEASE!!! We have lived here for almost a year, and we go out to dinner probably twice a month, this is the FIRST time that we have been asked if we wanted to get our childs meal out before anything else.... that right there earned an extra star! For drinks, hubby had a beer and I had the white peach sangria... I was expecting it to be crazy sweet, it was just the right amount of sweet. For appetizer we got the spinach artichoke dip, it was good, average probably. For the baby we ordered grilled cheese with a side of mashed potatoes- next time, I'll have them hold the butter. I had the 8 ounce flat iron steak- cooked perfectly with rice pilaf as my choice of side and a dinner salad (which was included). Hubby had the 12 ounce top sirloin with the loaded mashed potatoes and dinner salad. He also added on the lobster tail. Everything was cooked the way we liked it, I don't know that I would have the rice again though, it was a little "spicy", hubby thought maybe it was curry, not my favorite. Since it was my birthday, we got dessert... which we don't usually get. And I don't like to be embarassed, so I didn't want the servers singing at our table. We got the Ultimate Brownie Sundae, very rich but very yummy. After drinks, appetizer (free), 2 steak entrees, a child's meal and dessert came to $60.00 The restaurant was clean, the bathroom was clean, the service was friendly and attentive. All in all I would say that we would go there again. It's MUCH better than Outback- which easily for the meal we had, would have been right around the $75 mark.

Had dinner on Wed, 8/22/13. The prime ribs and salmon entrees were perfectly cooked. The sides were yummy (sweet potato, mixed veggies, and mash potato). The bread was fresh and warm. Best service ever by the staff!

Longhorn on a Saturday night can be one of the most crowded places in the poconos. They have an hour and a half wait at only 6:45, but thanks to call ahead, our time was limited to 40 minutes. It's amazing how people are willing to wait an hour and a half for the food, but it is amazing food. Unfortunately though, you may get B.S.'ed and see that people who came in after you somehow get a table before you. I hate it when this happens especially since you know you clearly deserve that table more because you waited more. The restaurant ambiance takes a typical western scenery, with many cowboy related accessories around the restaurant. the tables are very clean and the restaurant in general is very casual. No fancy attire needed. For dinner, I got the 11 oz new York strip with a house salad (with Italian dressing) and a side of steamed broccoli (NOTE: steamed broccoli may not be an option as a side on the menu, but if you ask the waiter for it, they are happy to serve it for you). The salad was amazing as usual. Great crunch from the lettuce and cucumbers. I didn't want to stop eating it! I did eventually run out though. The steak was fabulous. Great seasoning on top, however I recommend adding a tiny bit of salt but no pepper because it is already peppered before serving. I could not taste any salt originally which is why I added some on. I also highly recommend adding pepper and salt to the broccoli because it just gives the broccoli that extra kick of spice, making the broccoli taste incredible. Incredible restaurant, incredible food, but an annoying wait for the table, but what else are you going to expect when you go to the restaurant at 6:30 on a Saturday night during presidents weekend?
