Great food and great service. Passed by here a million times and finally stopped in. I got the Dales Grand Breakfast and it lived up to its name. If you're in the area you should give this place a try.

Nice local joint in the Poconos. Came here for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. Food was pretty good but service was super slow. Decor was a bit dated but clean. Not bad.

Inexpensive and simple breakfast. I had the Mediterranean omelet which was very fresh and filled with homemade guacamole. It came with home fries and toast, only 8.75. Very cute small eatery.

I ordered the tilapia sandwich and side salad. Fish was on the small side but very tasty. Salad was ok, lettuce tomato and red onion. Vinaigrette dressing was pure vinegar. Tomato basil soup was very good and the roasted pepper/mozzarella cheese sandwich was really tasty too. Ordered sweet potato fries but got sweet potato home fries, they had a funky taste. Prices are pretty reasonable :)

I have been a dales customer for years and will never stop. Everytime i go i get the grilled chicken melt with extra pasta salad and chipotle sauce on the side. The girls that work there are very nice and some of them even remember my order. Great family place love it!!

After staying at the Knights Inn across the street, we saw Dale's and ate here after finding its good Yelp rating. Simple interior and menus, not fancy, but had some classy rat pack music playing. Serves Pepsi products, but when I asked for a Coke they had cans?! Didn't expect that... Went with the Dale's Grand Breakfast and chose scrambled eggs, bacon, with Yukon gold potato home fries. One thing I noticed, the meal was warm, and it could have been a little hotter. Pancakes were nice and thick. Eggs were fluffy and bacon had good flavor. The home fries were the most interesting part of the meal; they were almost mashed a little bit leading to a different texture with good flavor. Overall the food was decent but the price might have been a little high for the quantity. Service was fine so the stop was worth it.

Great little spot for breakfast. Good food and friendly staff. We eat here every time we visit the Poconos.

If you're looking for a great list of food items all made by what I believe is a newly divorced man who is teaching himself to cook look no further. The only upside to this meal was that I feel like a causality of war and that I've eaten this trash so you don't have to. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich and it was literally chicken fingers with melted cheese and ketchup. If I could go back in time I would have just asked the waitress to bring back a plate with a picture of me frowning on it for 11 dollars. I only give this place two stars because they had ginger ale. Also thy sell 5x7 pictures taken with a disposable camera. For 30 dollars a piece. Who the hell do you think you are?

Stopped here after shopping at the nearby outlets. I had potato pancakes and my husband had a burger. The food was fresh and tasty. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant was spotless including the bathrooms. A very cute and pleasant place for lunch out.

We stayed at great wolf lodge and came here with our 2 and 4 year old for breakfast. Coffee was good. They had a kids menu and the kids were happy with their chocolate chip and plain pancakes. My husband ordered the southwestern and I ordered the meatless skillet with Eggs over easy. The entrees were good, not great. The interior is decorated with local art and piggy pottery which was different.

This is the second time I have been here when stopping in the poconos and I have to say the place is amazing. The omelette that I had was outrageous and easily one of the best I have ever had. The wait staff is extremely kind and courteous which is always a plus. I will make sure to make this be a regular stop every time am in the Poconos area!!

Good place to stop in. Enjoyed the food and service! Clean and update decor, wide menu variety. Was there for lunch, but the breakfast menu looked good. Don't let the road construction prevent you from stopping in!!!!

I really love Dale's café I haven't tried everything on the menu but everything I've had has been wonderful and the taste has been unique and all the soups I've ever had there were wonderful as well. It's really a great little place that has food that is actually made from scratch. I recommend it to anybody.

I've been coming here since the original location. I love this place and I make it a point to come here when I'm home from college. The food is always fresh and the owners are super nice. I recommend the tortellini or ravioli soup- I probably can't even name one time I haven't ordered it with my meal- and the veggie wraps. SO GOOD. Tuna melts are really to die for as well. Sometimes the service can be slow as others have said but the food is worth it. Nice decor too! I wish they were open until later because sometimes I'm so busy sometimes lunch happens at 4 but its cool. Since Mollies closed on Main Street this is my go to lunch when I'm home. Don't miss it! There arent many places like this as you go further up 611.

Great family style cafe with Grandma and Grandpa doing the cooking; try the turkey chili. The portions are sizeable and the service feels like you are eating at a friend's house. My family will definitely be back! They are not open every night so check the hours if you are going for dinner.

Really nice. Recommend anything in the way of soup or sandwich--everything we ordered came with or in amazing panini-pressed bread. The waitress was sweet to the point of apologism.

Yikes & Yuck! Old, Hard and Moldy bread. Our family does not like moldy bread, maybe some of you may. Quite a few crumbs on the floor and table. We had to wipe it all off as the waitress wasn't seen for about 10 minutes. Very slow as well after ordering and the waitress seemed like she had other things on her mind. Food was ehh, and when we found the MOLD, it became even worse. The bathrooms smelled horrible as they looked like they weren't cleaned in quite some time. Would not recommend this place at all. Keep driving if you see it.

We have been coming here for years. It's a lovely, family owned business. They are super nice about kids, and they have plenty of menu items kids will like. Yes, it can take a while for food to come out, but the food is amazingly good (I'm a picky eater), and they will make it exactly how you want it. Some of their staff has been with them for years, which tells you something about how nice the ownership is. Highly recommend the panini sandwiches, smoothies, and espresso drinks. Never had a bad meal here in the close to 10 years we've been going.

Stopped in with my family for a late breakfast while staying at the Great Wolf Lodge about ten minutes away. They open at 9 am which is late if you're trying to get a breakfast crowd but I guess they march to their own drummer. This is a small cafe kind of restaurant with hotcakes, waffles, omelets etc. The food took some time to come out and when I asked about it the waitress apologized and said it's because it's all made fresh to order. Sure enough, the food was hot and delicious. One of our kids has a gluten allergy so we brought our own bread and they were kind enough to make it into french toast. Bill for two adults, two kids: $32 including tax, before tip. It's a great find, I would go back.

We came across Dale's on a Sunday morning, about brunch time. From the outside it looked like a great place. Walking in, it was very welcome. I wish we had paid more attention to what we were walking in to though. We sat at a table and were given our menus - no utensils. The waitress took our drink order - in a rather unfriendly manner. We got our drinks, ordered our food and then waited... And waited... And waited. We finally looked around and realized that in a mildly crowded cafe, on a Sunday morning, not a SINGLE table had food. None. After about thirty minutes of waiting for three orders of eggs, sunny side up, we asked our waitress if everything was okay. She told us it was and that our food would be right up. We started noticing other tables complaining that they had been waiting for nearly an hour. After waiting forty minutes for our very simple orders, I went to the counter and told them what was going on and that we would like to leave. We received no explanation, and no apology. Instead, we got an eye roll and a huff from our waitress, and were told by the cashier "You're fine then, just go." Maybe it was an off-day for them, but this was a situation that was not handled well by the staff and makes me very uneasy in recommending them to a single person.

I really wanted to like this place. Stopped in for lunch on a weekday, and it has a pleasant, bright, cozy, atmosphere. I was willing to overlook the fact that there were crumbs all over my table when I sat down. My friend was a few minutes late, so I wound up sitting there for 20 minutes and no one asked if I wanted to order anything. I had to almost tackle a waitress just to get a glass of water. The food was OK. Not great. The bathrooms were so scuzzy that I changed my daughter's diaper in her baby carriage rather than put her on a floor that looked like it hadn't seen a mop in quite a while. Then I again had to chase down one of the indifferent waitresses to get our check. My search for a fun local lunch joint continues.

Stopped in around 1130am on a Saturday for lunch while visiting the Great Wolf Lodge with my family. We were seated relatively quickly, but then it took a full 15 minutes for someone to actually take our food and drink order. Drinks came another 10 minutes later - two of the four orders were wrong. Then we waited and waited, flies buzzing around our table in the meantime. (The floor had clearly not been cleaned recently, there were wrappers and sticky spots everywhere). Food came 45 minutes after the drinks - and again, two of the four orders were wrong. Thankfully the waitress was nice about fixing the error. (We ordered soup, pasta, a bagel and a quesadilla - not exactly a heavy order either, but since the guacamole had already turned brown by the time it got to us, it must have been sitting around for a while anyway). After we had already placed our order, a couple came in, were seated next to us, ordered, got their food, ate and paid before our meals even arrived. All totaled, it took 95 minutes from the time we walked in to the time we left. It literally would have been faster for me to drive the 75 miles back to my house to get lunch than it was to stop in at Dale's for a bite. Would give the place 1 star but I have to say the waitress was really nice and pretty apologetic about getting almost everything wrong.

I took my niece here for lunch after pottery. We both got grilled cheese sandwiches, and they were gross. The sandwiches were served on a ciabatta roll (although I don't think these technically qualified as ciabatta), and the cheese was a combo of cheese slices and shredded cheddar like you buy in a bag at the grocery store. The pasta salad that came with it was equally icky and made with some kind of orange stuff. The only reason I gave it on star is because the staff was very friendly and nice.

It looks so cute from outside that I had high expectations. The ambiance was fine. Food was just ok, nothing special. They close at 3pm making it difficult with our schedule to get there. Doubt we'll go back as there are so many other choices with more convenient hours.

Small but cozy. Loving every minute of it here. The food is affordable and delicious. I ordered something small - two eggs on a roll for only $3 and it was gooood! The soft crunchy fresh roll. They have a lot of servers here so the service is pretty speedy - it was right down fast compared to the rest of the local restaurants I've been to. There was no line but this seem to be a popular local joint. The decor looks a little run down but who cares? Come here for the good food

Not very good. Don't recommend eating there. Food is very bland. Got the Italian sandwich and had no flavor. Also had to go up and ask to have a refill for drinks
