I gave it three stars because my meal sucked but my boyfriend really enjoyed his. I ordered a burger with tomato and lettuce, which came with chips and a pickle. The burger was a thin frozen patty which tasted a little bit like it was marinated in an au jus. The bun was a kaiser roll that was really floury and kept falling apart. There was enough lettuce and tomato to qualify as a side salad. Overall, mediocre at best. If you're starving to death, it'll keep you alive but I wouldn't go out of my way to order this again. My boyfriend ordered the western omelet with cheddar cheese and sausage instead of ham, and wheat toast. He was very satisfied. The omelet was large enough to satiate his appetite, though the toast was slightly burnt. There wasn't too much cheese, but they didn't skimp either. I'll just say his plate was spotless by the time we were done. It was okay. It wasn't great, or even really good. Just, mediocre.

This diner has it all: a huge diverse menu, large servings of delicious fresh food with very reasonable prices, it's super clean and the staff is always happy to see you. My kids love the Pied Piper and so do my husband and I.

We had a family gathering here at the Pied Piper in Bally. The waitress was friendly and attentive. They give you a ton of food. You can expect to be stuffed when you leave this place. The food isn't wonderful it is just OK. But the quantity more than makes up for it. The only thing I didn't like was the lighting in the large dining room. It was way too bright. Overall, a decent place to get a big meal if your not looking for anything too special.

My husband and I have eaten at Piper only twice to give it another try. Sadly, was still over-priced and the breakfast was just plain horrible (ham, eggs, tatoes & the kitchen sink item). The "home fries" were not what they should be--diced/wholish potatoes nicely seasoned etc ... INSTEAD, they were scrapped off the bottom of the pan, flat pieces of I don't know what & bland as all get out also under cooked just disgusting! Each meal was luke warm. Toast was cold and flimsy, scrambled eggs were also bland and dry. To put it simply: The Chef that morning had ZERO passion in their cooking. We prefer quality over quantity any day especially ordering out. If it takes longer to cook a meal, we'd happily wait as long as it was eatable, good, tasty etc. Sad, so sad to see cooks going down hill in this area and not caring about what they serve to a paying customer. NOTE TO OWNER: Give your staff a good pep talk before they serve others and especially the cooks encourage them to take time to prepare tasty, hot meals for people seriously because for the business sake, it matters! Disappointed because the restaurant bldg is nice and desserts are above average but overall breakfast, lunch and dinner just mediocre on a good day from what we've been served.

The food is average, portions are large, the service was okay, but I wouldn't eat here again unless Mc Donalds is closed.

Wish i could give this shithole 0 stars..i used to be an employee there but i had to leave because i could not bring myself to work for a disgusting pigpen or the owners who think they re so "high and mighty" above the apparently "low-class" customers that come in there..allow me to tell a story about how that place truly operates..i was a server there, the one day these 2 young men came in for breakfast, the one ordered the strawberry stuffed pancakes..when its done, i bring it out to him. After a few minutes, i look over and he's not eating, and he has the plate pushed away. (Not a good sign). I walk over and ask if somethings wrong and he points out a fruitfly in his pancake. Now i feel bad for him and tell him i'll do my best to rectify the situation. I go to that blobby hobbit of an owner (cheryl yannaris) and tell her that the customer found a bug in his food. Would you believe that she argued with me over it. Saying that it was a "strawberry seed". Last i checked, strawberry seeds don't have heads, or antennas..or disintegrate when you rub it between your fingers. What a normal owner would do is apologize, and comp the meal (especially seeing how he did not eat it). Instead, she goes to the computer and takes ONLY the coffee off the bill (still made him pay for the pancake that he didn't even touch), prints it and hands it to me to deliver to them..she didn't even have the decency to do it herself. I was embarassed even though it wasn't my fault. I apologized to them for it and said that if i was the owner, they would NOT be paying for it. I felt so bad for them i refused to even take the tip they tried leaving for me..it just goes to show the kind of people the owners really are. On top of having cockroaches breeding in their pie cases and the sickly amount of health code violations that go on in the kitchen. And the one waitress they used to have that would come in with blood stained/dirty clothes and shoot heroin in the bathroom and "nod out" in front of customers. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. If you still want to eat there after this review, good luck to you and hopefully you don't catch food poisoning, HEP C or something worse.

My husband and I ate here on our way home from Malvern. The food was just okay. The desserts looked pretty good though. Check out the display case,

We've passed by the Pied Piper dozens of times on our travels to and from family in PA, but never stopped in until recently. We're glad we did and we'll be sure to do so again. It's pretty standard diner/comfort food fare with no surprises: great for weary travelers.

By far the WORST food my husband and I have ever tasted. I got the lamb gyro and I have no idea what kind of meat it was but it sure as hell wasn't lamb. Plus it tasted horrible!!!! I took two bites.... couldn't continue and I was starving so that says a lot. My husband got the roast beef au jus and that wasn't much better. It tasted like the roast beef was cooked 6 days ago. It was so dry and tasteless. The 2 sides were cold. We have also been here for breakfast and that was pretty bad too. All in all I can say without a DOUBT we will never return here!!!!!!!!

Really enjoyed our late evening meal here. My wife wasn't real hungry since decided to split a meal. The server really did a nice job splitting the meal for us. The salad bar was delicious and fresh. The homemade cornbread was fabulous. And the meal was great. No complaints with the service. I would return.

This was our first time here. We stopped in for a late breakfast. The place was packed. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated. The Hostess took our drink order right away, we didn't wait to long for our server to take our order. Food was out in about 10 minutes. Breakfast was very good. I really liked the home fries. The portions were huge. Service was awesome! If were ever in the area again I would definitely stop in.

Really good food. Horrible service. We had to wait over 20 minutes to order or drinks and then another 10 to get them. We finally got to order our food that took a half hour to prepare lunch. Then it was wrong. Once we all received the correct food it was delicious. But never got drink refills. We definitely will not be returning.

Pretty standard greek influenced diner fare. I've been here over 20 times over the last five years. Service is always good and quick. Spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly. Don't expect any surprises and don't veer off the basic plan. There have have been some new additions lately including wifi and healthier options which if it is sustained might give them a four star. Just a clarification: 3 stars is the top I'll give a diner so it is not a put down and I plan to return.

I don't get the other low star reviews about this place. Traveling, we stopped in as it was 8am, they were open, and had a decent-sized crowd (a good sign for a diner). Our waitress was the sort of gal who has likely been serving tables at diners for 40-50 years. Classic. Decent coffee, good food, large portions. And very reasonable prices. Yum! A solid diner.

Wow, this place is really up and down food quality wise. We've eaten here like 4 times and the food quality ranges from tasty, to just ok to "did the head cook get fired and get replaced by the dishwasher?" Seriously, on our last visit we took a couple of friends here for dinner because we were having trouble deciding where to go and we told them it was a fairly reliable place to stop for a belly filling meal at a good price. We all ordered different entrees and we were all very disappointed with the taste of our food. So much so that none of us finished our meals and not because we couldn't have. We were all surprised by how bad the food looked and tasted and I'm sure our friends were wondering why we recommended the place. Based on our visits prior to this last one I would have recommended the Pied Piper as an average place with decent portions and good service. Unfortunately it appears that the Piper has some serious quality issues when it comes to the food, so until that gets ironed out I can't recommend it with other places nearby that give a much more consistent casual dining experience.

We decided to give this place a try since we live down the street and could come here often if good. Huge Menu with a lot of choices, unless you are a vegan looking for a veggie option. Most places would accommodate or alter a meal but not here. An example would be if you see they have wraps and you see they have a salad w/grilled vegetables with chicken breast on top you would think if you ask to have a grilled vegetable wrap they could do i? No chance.. The cook said No! More restaurants need to learn to adapt. With this outcome our family of 4 won't be walking down the street to eat here again.

Visited this location on a Sunday morning for breakfast around 9:30 am. Found the wait staff to be quick and courteous. We were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink order within 5 minutes. She came back with all our drinks quickly and asked to take our order. We ordered and the food came out within 15 minutes. Nothing was forgotten. The waitress stopped by every 10 minutes or so to see if we needed refills or anything else. 5 out of 5 today on service. Here comes the so-so part. The reason I gave 3 of 5 stars for this place was the food. For 2 adults and 3 girls between ages 11-15 the bill was $44 for breakfast. For that amount I expect some pretty darn good breakfast! The omlets my wife and I ordered were tasteless and dry. The pancakes my 13 yr old ordered were dry and tasted like cardboard even with chocolate chips in it. The waffle my 15 yr old ordered was flooded with fake strawberry jelly topping instead of real strawberries (easily in season right now) and over all not that great. The only food in the meal that was pretty decent was the pork roll and bacon. Pretty hard to mess those products up. For that I give the food a 1 out of 5. Worst breakfast food I've seen or tasted in recent history. It's the easiest stuff to cook and yet whoever the cook was managed to screw it up. I can only imagine what other meals of the day taste like here if they can't get this meal right. Hope someday they get the food right because the location, atmosphere, and staff are pleasant and accommodating.

I wanted to update my previous review since my family no longer will eat at the Pied Piper... I'd like to explain why. We have a reasonably large family... me, my wife and four children. When we eat out as a family we choose our locations carefully based on food the kids will eat, friendliness of the staff and how quickly the food is served. There is nothing worse than a gaggle of hungry kids who have to wait a half an hour for chicken fingers if you know what I mean... We have eater at the PP probably 12 or 13 times altogether and the last four times we went the service was terrible. We had one instance where the food wasn't brought out all at the same time -- an absolute no-no when dining with children. Each time it took almost 45 minutes from the time we walked in before we actually got our food -- another no-no with children in tow. The last straw was this: We went in for dinner. The diner was quite busy and we were sat at one of the big round tables -- as usual. No one said boo to us for 20 minutes yet people around us were being seated and having their orders taken. These things do happen from time to time... so I called someone over to ask for a waitress... ten minutes later one wandered over like we had just been seated. She took drinks and ran away before we could explain that we were ready to order (way ready). She came back another solid ten minutes later with half our drinks, dropped them and left without a word. After two minutes I got up and asked someone where the rest of our drinks were... we finally all got our drinks and were able to place our orders. Almost an hour after arriving our food came out... wrong. Now, if my order was wrong I would have been peeved... but they screwed up the kids meals... that's the worst. Because now the kids are unruly, starving and they don't have food. Finally after complaining to the manager our meals were corrected and everyone their food (over an hour now) and the meals that weren't wrong were cold. In the end, we simply ate, left no tip, told the person at the counter that we were unhappy with the service and the food. She apologized and rung us up with no other words. That was our last visit. I won't say we wont go back... my wife and I might by ourselves but never with the kids again.

I can't believe this place is actually still open ,it has to be 1 of the worst places I've ever eaten .I ordered the clam chowder ,it was as if somebody just put dried milk into water ,at least they didn't want me to pay 4 a meal I could not eat so when you're in bally, do yourself a favor and find some place else to eat

Went for breakfast. Absolutely have to try the stuffed pancake or stuffed French toast! It is like a Cinnabon inside the pancake. Yum! Save the carbs on the home fries, not worth it!
