Delicious, quick, and cheap take-out Chinese food. What more do you want? This will be really short since if you've had any other Chinese takeout you probably already have the menu memorized. That being said, where Golden China surpasses its competitors is the combination of price, quality, and serving sizes. My most recent order included General Tso's Chicken, Chicken and Broccoli, Crab Ragoons, and two egg rolls, which totaled about $25. In addition, to what we ordered we got two orders of white rice and a bottle of soda for being over $25. So dirt cheap and you get lots of food - and I mean a ton of food. My girlfriend and I ate well for three days. And as if that wasn't good enough, the food was actually really good - sweet and spicy general Tso's that was perfectly cooked, and juicy chicken cooked with fresh broccoli. Definitely order the creamy and crispy Crab Ragoons. In sum, this is my new Chinese go-to spot, and if you want the most bang for your buck it should be yours too.

Very good food! They are really a take out spot, but have one solo table to sit and eat. The gentleman behind the counter provided excellent service, even though it's not a waiter type place. Wish we lived closer! This would be our spot! Great, delicious, piping hot food! Welcoming, friendly service to everyone that walked in. Definitely worth stopping in. Yummy egg rolls! We had crab Rangoon, beef & broccoli, shrimp egg foo young, general tso chicken, egg rolls. All delish!

After reading the other reviews my wife and I are still not sure what restaurant they are talking about- the food here sucks. We placed an order based on the comments and found the food to be subpar at best. I ordered the honey walnut chicken and my wife ordered the general Tso beef. Both were overcooked and inedible. The Phoenix roll smelled fishy and tasted undercooked. The steamed dumplings were small pieces of meat covered in thick dough. We will never eat food from here again.

This place is the bomb for quick and delicious Chinese food. As a resident of Ardmore, I love having it right around the corner. Even though it's a little bit difficult to understand the owner, I have ordered takeout several times and it is always ready in 10-15 minutes, and always correct. My only warning is that this place is not good for those of us on a diet. Don't be fooled by the cheap prices--they pile the food up! I usually have to make two meals out of their lunch specials. Still, this is without a doubt my go-to Chinese place.

Nice local Chinese takeout restaurant. The staff is friendly and they prepare the food according to spice requests.

If you want authentic Chinese food. Sang Kee is a much better choice (the one down the road).

This place is not the best of you want authentic Chinese but it is quick and delicious. This place is one of the only take out restaurants that will deliver to my house. The food is pretty inexpensive, but can be a little greasy usually I ask to make it with low oil and that does the trick!

Average food. The shrimp rolls are good. Everything can use a little work. The person who answers the phone is rude and didn't know the menu.

I love the lunch specials, especially the sechuan chicken! It is the best food for a great deal. I like getting wonton soup and an eggroll too. I ordered with my office a few times and some of my coworkers made special requests and they always get the orders correct.

I'm only giving two stars instead of one because I have only had one bad experience here; my experience was so bad the last time though that I will stop ordering from Golden China. I called to place and order for delivery over the weekend. When asked where I was located, the address was about 4 blocks from where Golden China is. I was immediately stopped from ordering and the woman on the phone said "why can't you pick it up?" I explained that I couldn't leave my house because I was watching a friends child and did not have a car to go out in. I was told that because I wasn't going to pick it up they were going to MAKE my delivery for an hour. I said it was for simple lo-mein and I was just going to call somewhere else. After threatening to take my business elsewhere the woman yelled on the phone that she would make it 30 minutes but she still couldn't understand why I wasn't coming to pick it up. Things come up in people's homes that don't allow them to come pick up their food. Had I had it my way, I would've gladly picked it up. Customer service is a huge issue here. I have worked in customer service my whole life and know for a fact that I would do whatever I could to get business from a customer. I will not be returning.

The food is is delicious, the prices are good, and the portions are perfect! If you want Chinese food that is quick and affordable without skimping on taste or portions, go to Golden China! Just don't plan on eating there, there aren't any tables.

Of all the chinese places I've tried in the area, they have to be the best. Not only are the prices pretty on point, but the food is consistently good. I also have special order items and they are pretty good about ordering to specifications (i.e. steamed, no sauce, extra sauce on side, etc). Plus their chicken fried rice is out of this world; it's my favorite, hands down, outside the city. I order from here fairly regularly and they always deliver quickly and are always friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Staffs need to be nice! :( and wish someone who speaks english answered the phone. Their food might taste good, but they might not be so clean. I've found hair twice from their food and piece of steel wool more than 3 times.!!! They didnt take my call as a serious call, instead, i dont think they thought it was a big deal.

I ordered 50 dollars worth of food at 4:30 pm and it was at my door at 4:51. Um...WOW. And of course, a free 2-liter bottle of orange soda. The girl who answered the phone and the delivery person were both really nice, too. I will definitely order from here again. (And did I mention the food's good, too?)

This place has pretty good quality take-out chinese food and very fast service. Last time I ordered, they gave me two free cans of soda. Definitely will order from them again.

By far the best Chinese take out in the ardmore / bryn mawr area. Ive been very disappointed with other options and tried Golden China for the first time last night. Every was fresh and tasted great. I deff recommend the general Tao's chicken. Delivery was fast and free!

Vinny: You keep askin' about Chinese food! You gotta let everybody know you're a tourist? Mona: And what are you, a world travela? When it comes to chinese food.. let's just say I have the number to golden china in my cell phone. I really wish they had chicken chow fun, but whatever. Golden china gives you heaps of those crunchy noodles, which I love, and usually a free bottle of soda. If you go for delivery, they're always on time. I guess that's all I have to say about that...

If you are in the mood for "good old Chinese food" - this would be the place. I can't say it's the best Chinese food....it's what you'd expect from a Chinese place. It's not bad. It's not amazing. i had brown rice with my dish - it came as a slimy (yes, slimy) clump of rice. The spring roll was quite delicious and large for its price. the woman at the counter was not pleasant or approachable - in fact, she made me a bit uncomfortable.

Good Food, quick delivery, reasonable prices, good variety! I love the honey chicken and never heard of it before. I can't wait to order from here again.

Pros: quick service; the General Tso's Chicken was nice and crispy; brown rice is an option for combination platters Cons: the General Tso's Chicken didn't come with broccoli! That's outrageous! That's preposterous! That's just weird!!! But the chicken was still very good. Bottom line: I would definitely order from here again.

We really enjoy the food from Golden China - the pork fried rice and Won Ton soup especially rock. We're also fans of the General Tso's chicken. This place is strictly takeout/delivery though I hear they're working on a sit-down restaurant down the street (yay!). Food is fresh, they are fast and very friendly. For every $25 ordered you get a free 2 liter bottle of soda too.

Possibly the best Chinese take-out in the area for the money. It is the only Chinese place that I could eat more than once a week and not get sick of it. The shrimp spring rolls are delish!

For Chinese takeout, there is nothing better than Golden China. They have fast, friendly service that accompanies an equally great price. And the best is that you get a free 2 liter of soda with every order of $20.00 or more. The only downside is that they do not have a seating area so it really is take out!!

Okay..so their chowmein is NOT chowmein. It's some other gooey white soup looking thing that looks very unappetizing but I guess is not too bad on the tongue. But the problem here really is that you don't get what you think you're ordering when you order chowmein from this place. Be warned! :D

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
