I don't understand why when you look up sonic in Pennsylvania on Yelp and find this one so underrated. Okay, all Sonics are a little different, but I hope to raise this 2.5 star average up, because this is one of the reasons that we stay around here... On Long Island, New York, there is one Sonic. It doesn't compare to this one, since it is the experience, mostly. We come here every time we stay in Allentown. The Oreo Blast is phenomenal. Their burgers, fries, chicken, and sides are also amazing, all served by cute waitresses on roller skates. You can't get better than that!

best things their drinks (limeades (Cherry limeade is one of their best and most famous), flavoring in soda (Coke/DrPepper), etc) ice cream and shakes (plain ice cream, shakes, and blasts are good. their vanilla oreo shake was good, I might like ritas alittle better though. I miss their regular cookie dough blast, I feel that the master blast version isn't quite as good.) onion rings (some of the best onion rings ive had, batter was great and onions weres crispy) tots if you like tater-tots good things price Heinz 57/ranch sauce MozzSticks (their dipping sauce is like a pizza sauce and im not too found of the taste, the mozzsticks are quite good themselves though) tried their corndogs on a 50 cent/cdog day, the cornbread was very very good, but the hotdogs inside were quite cheap. I don't think id order them again (mainly because theres other good foods there) and would rather eat the State Fair beef brand at home

~$1.60 will buy you a medium cup of happiness here. And by happiness, I mean a cherry limeade. What more do you need in life?

OK, so I'm semi-obsessed with this place (partially because it's one of the closest ones to me). The food is good (I love their tots), the service is good and its never crowded. Whenever I break free from my diet this is my first stop. I really hate that they don't sell anything thats somewhat healthy (unless my eyes just overlook it) -minus one star. Overall: I'll be back.

sssssoooooooo nasty!!!! 2 times in a row!!! waste of 20 dollars! The icecream in the sonic blast was way over churnned. It was gritty and disgusting... you could spackle a wall with it. Not to mention they didn't were gloves to peel the banana that went in my blast. the guys also skimped on the add ins. Where were no chocolate chips in mine and my sisters had nothing in It either. They dont wear beard nets and should.

Sort of hit or miss. Something things are amazing, some are lackluster. The good: Limeades, limeades, limeades. These are THE reason to go to Sonic. Cherry Limeade? So amazing your head will explode at the sheer flavor*. If I were able, I'd bring home a gallon of it in a heartbeat. They're WHY I go to Sonic. The tots are great, and their burgers, chicken sandwiches and dogs are up there, too. * This may be an exaggeration. Drink at your own risk. The exceedingly decent: Better than average (but not by much) comes the jalapeno poppers and mozz sticks. While pretty tasty, but they're nothing to write home about. The bad: Their french fries. Usually, fast food places have solid fries. You eat them, go "Yum!" and hope your heart doesn't give out from the grease. But not Sonic, nope. They're bland, tasteless and overly soggy. I'd call them "edible carbohydrate spears" but that would probably make somebody want to order one, which is a horrible mistake. DON'T DO IT! Burn your money instead. It's a better investment then buying Sonic's fries. The really negative: One of my passengers got a rock hard, stale bagel with their breakfast sandwich today from this Sonic. Some of the items we've got have had mixed results with quality control (e.g. grilled burger bun day 1, ungrilled, out of the package bun day 2). Consistency is definitely a bit of an issue.

The only thing that keeps me heading back to this Sonic is happy hour - half price Cherry Limeades are pretty addictive. But this Sonic is crazy slow (I waited 14 minutes for my cherry limeade yesterday). The food is always hit or miss (I've gotten raw chicken, cold food, oversalted food, the wrong food). The one in Lower Nazareth is much better, but alas, entirely too far away.

If you are a horse and are looking for a salt lick then this Sonic is for you. Everything that comes out from the grilled cheese, that's not actually grilled, coney island dogs that have salty chili and cheese, to the tots which are just salt with some potato thrown in for color are all miserable tasting. As much as people rave about this place the two times I've been there the place has been deserted. But at the drive thru since every order is supposedly made "fresh" it takes twice as long as going to Wendy's and McDonalds. But in the end you're just waiting a long time for salty slop. Stick with the Golden Arches instead.

I love Sonic (especially their coffee - believe it or not), but hate this one in particular. I've been to a bunch of Sonics in the past, but this one is by far the slowest. Last summer, my husband and I were returning from a friend's house and decided to drop in here for some ice cream. We were the only people there and each ordered a sundae. 30 minutes later, we were finally driving away with our ice cream. The people are nice and always apologize. But that's the problem - they're always apologizing for the wait. I honestly don't know why I keep going back, other than I can't get enough of the breakfast toasty on lazy Sunday mornings. Go if you like the food, but never when you're starving.

This has to be the absolute worst fast food joint i have ever been to in my entire life. Every time we come to this place, our order is either cold, old, or messed up. We even went so far as to ask for "fresh food" the last time we went. The guy said "we always have fresh food" BS. Every single time we come here the burgers are cold, the fries are cold and sometimes rock hard, and i mean jeez, they cant seem to get an order right. We order bacon doubles and got no bacon, we order jr double and got a sausage patty and a hamburger patty. We order blasts, and they are barely mixed! This is just completely unacceptable. The whole staff should be fired. They have a list of people they owe food too because they screw up to so much. I'm on it, and im not sure if the free food is worth it!

It's simply a lie that Sonic always makes the food fresh when you order it. Go at midnight and see if your popcorn chicken doesn't taste days old. Drinks are good though usually

Every time I eat at Sonic (not just this one) I'm disappointed. In the past I ordered grilled cheese for my son, and it wasn't grilled. The burgers are pretty bad. Cherry limeade was way too seltzery. Tonight I split a sundae with my son. The ice cream was over frozen and there was barely any hot fudge on it. Everyone raves about how great this place is, but I have yet to agree. It's just plain old fast food.

Been to this sonic twice now and both times I've gotten sick from their food. First time was border line food poisoning which I disregarded as a friend getting me sick(they had similar symptoms). This most recent time has been horrible (food poisoning) and will never be going back here. Not only did I get sickbut waited almost 15 minutes at the drive through.

Not sure why people like Sonic. I was looking forward to my first visit. Food was sloppy and tasteless. Chili cheese tater tots were the only redeeming item.
