Much better visit today, burger cooked properly not over done or greasy. The French fries on the other hand eeking grease through thin paper bag lose a star.

Old Faithful this place is. Would rather come here than any McDonald's, Burger King or Wendy's any day! My daughter usually spots at least one good looking guy her age working there. (Maybe I don't like this place after all) lol

Easiest place to review. Are you in the mood for a hamburger? Do you want the best hamburger in the Lehigh Valley? If you answered yes to both of these then the come to Five Guys.

Just amazing burgers and fries its greasy and probably bad for you but it's so worth it. Just go there and don't think about the deliciousness that awaits in the greasy see through paper bag...

Five stars for Five Guys! Lately I have had some very disappointing burgers at different restaurants and I am reminded that Five Guys never disappoints!! Always consistent and delicious--fresh, not frozen!! Just want to give credit where credit is due. Keep up the good work!!

So is true! the burger taste excellent, Wow. And the fires is fresh and crisp. I will definitely go and get my burger. And yes the burger is grill. Got to love it.

I'm not a huge fan of Five Guys. I know a lot of people love it but it just doesn't do it for me. It seems like just another fast food place to me. My boyfriend really loves it though. Their fries have their good and bad days. We went there the other day and had some fries. I felt sick for hours afterwards.

The manager is on the ball. This is my story. About a month ago we Ordered two burgers different toppings and the order was completely wrong. They offered us two free burgers next time around. So, today the day came and we decided to take them up on their offer. We go in order again and then again they messed up the order. Yes really! So they ended up giving us the wrong order to take home plus free lunch for the day and also free again for the next time. Manager handled the situation well but geez if it was right the first and second time I wouldn't be yelping about it. I did get sick within an hour BTW, either because it was so greasy or I would hate to think someone spit in it. Okay I said it.

If your craving a decent burger and fries, look no further. Add condiments from a nice sized list, of your choosing. Of course you have to get fries, a boatload of fries to go with your burger. And they have vinegar too, for those of us who find that irresistible! Service was quick and the food was consistent with what we've had both here and at other Five Guys locations. Oh and don't forget those free peanuts.

The burgers have been going downhill in my opinion. They have gotten less meatier and less juicy. However, it still is a decent quality burger with a lot of different toppings you can put on. If you order fries, expect to get a whole bagful of them even for the regular size. The fries are fried in peanut oil and taste great. I advise not to take out, as the food tends to get soggy and loses flavor.

Sometimes in life you just have to go with the flow to keep the peace especially when family is involved. With that in mind, pretty much against my will I returned to this Five Guys for the first time in about a year. My "love" of this store and some of their policies has been well documented in my other reviews so I'll keep it simple with a few points. * While I did not hear any F-Bombs, I also still can barely hear myself think as the Sirius Classic Rewind Channel was blaringly loud today. Nothing like trying to create a fake atmosphere by turning the music volume up to a Spinal Tap-like 11 along with making the ordering process that much harder. * Back when the owner(s) would respond to reviewers with their full of crap talking points, one of the things that they would always mention would be that since everything is made to order all you need to do is ask and they will accommodate. Two letters best respond to that idea: B.S. I know from prior visits that they always, always, always skimp on certain toppings. So today I purposefully asked for extra BBQ sauce to be put on my burger. Did that happen? Hell No! There was the same micro-spot as usual. I also know from prior visits that the employees here love to salt the hell out of the fries. So of course when a person in my party asked for their fries to be made either low-salt or with no salt the response from "J" at the register was 100% total deer in the headlights. She said that they would "try to accommodate that" but that "it's not a standard practice that they do". As I'm waiting for the food I'm watching the dude who is making the fries to see if he would change his routine and of course that didn't happen. The batch of fries that ours came from had not one shake from his salt spreader, not two shakes or even three, four or five. No, it got eight full shakes from a guy that was big enough that he could be playing Center for the Eagles. Needless to say, request not granted in regards to not salting the fries. Eventually the MOD? came around to clear tables and when she asked about our food we shared our salt story and her response was a tepid apology along with an equally weak "we'll try and work on that". I always love when you get a bunch of corporate mumbo-jumbo from owners about what their stores will supposedly do only to find out that the actual operations people doing it day to day either have no idea that they are expected to do it or they blatantly don't give a crap because that would involve thinking outside the box or coming out from under a lazy blanket policy. Lesson learned all around again here that as long as you like it their way, things will be fine. Need something a little different? You would truly have better luck at at the Golden Arches. (Also their prices are out of control. Two regular burgers, one large shared fry and one regular drink now clock in at over $20. You can get the same thing at Jake's without the (burp) grease along with much better flavor and more concern for how you want the food done for around 20% less.)

If you want a burger and fries, go here. If you want something else, you had better go somewhere else, because that's pretty much the only thing on the menu. By making essentially just two different items, Five Guys can turn over their stock of ingredients very quickly. I believe that the freshness of the ingredients is key to Five Guys success. Their burgers may not be the absolute best, but they are very good, very reliable, and relatively fast and inexpensive. My one piece of advice is that you will probably be satisfied with a small burger and small fries. I am a 200 pound guy and this is plenty for me.

The fries at 5 Guys used to be the best anywhere. Not so anymore. They must have changed how they cook them but they sure screwed up when they changed them. They sure weren't trying to make them better.

It's hard to find something you don't like about Five Guys. The burgers are juicy, made to order with whatever toppings you like. The generous portions of fresh cut fries are reminiscent of summers on the boardwalk. It's not a fancy establishment, but always clean and the staff is over the top friendly. The only thing I'm not wild about is the 80's music although I'm sure the marketing gurus researched what their target audience likes in music. I don't have the same taste in music as the typical 18-54 demographic apparently. But it won't stop me from frequenting Five Guys - it's my favorite local burger joint -- and I love burgers!

I'd been holding off on going...the reviews have been so hit or miss, but when I got off a 9:20 pm arrival from ABE the other night, I really needed decent food that didn't take an hour. So Five Guys was our stop. As it was late, there weren't too many visitors. We didn't wait in line at all, and we only saw three other parties while we were waiting for the food. The burgers are dang tasty. Are they fancy gourmet frou frou burgers? No. But the "little" burger was more than plenty for quantity and above average for quality. I like the toppings options. We both had little cheeseburgers & split an order of fries. Less than $10 and we were full. I tend to skip soda, so I thought it was a better deal than most other chain hamburger joints. I'd rather skip the drink and have the better food. They are slow...it took about 12 minutes from the time we ordered to the time we saw our food. No biggie. DH devoured a ridiculous amount of peanuts while I got our condiments & service wear. I'll definitely go back.

They should have called it 5 guys burgers & grease. Some of the most unappetizing fries and burgers I've ever had. I should have seen what kind of food was served here when they gave me my order and the bag was soaked completely through with grease. I opened it and the grease was just dripping from everything. Worst money I've ever spent and the first time I had to throw food away. Dare I say I've had better at McD's.

Solid 5 Guys. Staff was working hard and friendly. Very clean and of course the burgers and fries are what you'd expect. Delicious.

I wish I could figure out why this establishment is popular. Because they plaster the interior with propaganda about the greatest burger in the universe? Here's how I see it, yes these burgers are head of the class ranked against other fast food, chain type burger places. But I think it stops there. I can think of plenty of other neighborhood/pub type places that makes a burger 10 times better. An let's be honest, the price point for the quality is a little out of whack for me. I guess the other thing that bugs me is it seems if you eat in, you always have to clean your own table...WTF?

Went here the other day with the girlfriend after doing some shopping. We were both very hungry and had heard nothing but good things about the place. We both got the regular bacon cheeseburger and I got onions tomato and jalapeno peppers in mine. Oh and ketchup. It was delicous and the fries are equally awesome. I was stuffed when I was through eating. The best part was they used fresh jalapenos instead of pickled ones. I love the taste of a jalapeno chili, the meat was fresh, and the cheese was ooey gooey. I will undoubtedly go back. Awesome fries too! A huge portion. I took one star off because I reserve me 5-star ratings for places that have me craving to go back the following day. This didnt but do not let that deter you it was still a great meal.

Ok, exactly who are these five guys and how do I get to hug them? I hate that I love this place. I can slowly feel my cholesterol levels spiking at record levels after having a burger, bacon hotdog and order of fries for dinner last night. Glutton? Nah, I just wanted a snack. Can I tell you how much I love their super friendly staff? Do they put them on something that makes them all so cheery and happy? I suppose the aroma of bacon grease can do that. You can't go wrong with bacon, folks. They make a damn tasty burger. Period. They absolutely beat all the other fast food chain burgers without question. It's filling, juicy, and mouth-watering. Same goes for the perfectly grilled hotdog. Love the fact that the toppings are all free and unlimited. Prices are very reasonable for the burger ($4.99) itself, but those doggies are damn pricey at being over $3. People seem to rave about the their generous portioned fries, but I found them to be just all right. Definitely not amazing, but far from being bad. The "best burger" is such an asinine phrase. Everyone likes their burgers made in a certain way so everyone's opinion will be subjective. So forget about the long-winded debates and comparisons of this place. Go see for yourself and give it a try. You may end up becoming a secret fan like me. Eat now and call your cardiologist later.

I love this place! Sure everything's super greasy, but that's part of the allure. They're not trying to hide what they do best: super juicy, delicious burgers and fries. I almost always get a bacon double cheeseburger with pickles and ketchup, and it's always good: bacon is crisp, burgers are freshly made, and the pickles are crunchy. Be warned: the standard burger is 2 large patties, so if you aren't a big eater, go for the smaller version. I'm also a huge fan of the fries. They're hand cu, and just the right amount of crispiness. It's cool that once the fry container is full, they take another scoop and pour it right into your bag. You gotta love the presentation, too: everything goes into a standard brown paper bag, which, due to the extra fries, always has some nice grease stains on it. Like I said, they're not trying to hide anything. The free peanuts are also a nice touch.

This is a great place to stop for lunch. Everyone I have talked to recently, have preferred 5 Guys to other burger places. I am going to eat here again.

I had hear mixed things about Five Guys from outstanding basic burger, to eh, ok way greasy. They get a thumbs up from me for free peanuts while you wait for food. The food is all made to order, making it fresh. As the other reviewer noted there are several toppings, although nothing too exotic, to put on, which are all included in the price. The "little" burgers aren't so little. It just means you get one meat patty (enought for most people) instead of the usual 2. Burger was definitely greasy, but good. Fries were fresh cut and fried in peanut oil making them especially tasty (with malt vinegar of course). For the two of us 1 regular burger, 1 little burger, large fry to split and large drink to split it was $16. A little more than I'd want to pay on a regular basis for a burger (unless it was outstanding, which this wasn't). Would I eat here again? Yes. Would I go out of my way to eat here? No.

Not impressed with the burgers, you can get better burgers at specialty burger places now. I find Five Guys burgers greasy. The french fries are mushy and oil saturated, very unappealing.

I love Five Guys. I do. I really do. But I don't love this location. Something always goes wrong every time I'm at this location but I always give it the benefit of the doubt but this last time my sister got a burger that was pink in the middle... and ended up getting really sick from it. So no more... sorry Five Guys at Airport Rd.

This outlet for Five Guys just opened. Some coworkers and I have been eying this place the past few weeks waiting for it to open. Finally saw the Now Open sign up and went there on the first day. This is my first time at any Five Guys. I've been to In-N-Out many times now. I have to say that this is now my favorite burger joint. Amazingly fresh burgers similar to INO. The difference is in the toppings. You can choose from about a dozen toppings that can be added free. This is the first place I've been to where sauteed mushrooms were not an extra charge. The toppings help to make the burgers uniquely different. The fries are also pretty good. Fresh cut fries either plain or with Cajun seasoning. I also loved the free peanuts while you wait.

This was the 4th 5 guys I've been to (Dickson City,PA, Conshohocken, PA,Allentown,PA) and this place was the cleanest and run with military precision. The kitchen staff answers orders in unison. We did not order fries at this location but the burger was good as usual. I think the best part of 5 Guys is all the burger toppings they offer. Give it 4 stars based on comparisons to similar type burger places (Johnny Rockets..). Also a few tables outside which is nice.

Great service, great food, that simple. The burgers are so juicy, tasty, and scrumptious. If you are craving a burger this is the place to go.

Burger with all the extras! Hot dog with bacon and cheese! enough said, I am not a fan of the fries like some people.

I've been here several times since its recent opening. First off, some of the reviewers for this location and the Tilghman Street location should put things in perspective. Five Guys is not trying to be a "gourmet" burger restaurant or to have the "best overall" burger in the area. It's supposed to be the best of the fast food burgers, and that's pretty much what it is. They do a good job at that. I didn't find the burgers to be overly greasy. As others mentioned, they offer many toppings at no extra charge. I don't eat fries so I can't comment on them. Cons? The lines can get pretty bad - almost out the front door at peak times - but they do move. Since they're so busy, the tables don't get cleaned as often as they should. On one visit I ordered a bacon burger but it came without the bacon. I didn't feel like barging through the mass of people waiting for their food so I just let it go. Also, avoid this place if you have a peanut allergy, they are all over the place in Five Guys.

  • Scott H.

I love the Five Guys burgers. I'm not a huge fan of their french fries, but if you are - you'll have plenty! Here's a tip, a 'large' fries is plenty for two or probably even three people. If you are counting your calories - don't even think about it!

Good burgers, good toppings and fast service. I did order my burger WELL DONE, as I know that bacteria festers in ground meat unlike ordering a steak rare, which is safe since the bacteria is burned off when the steak hits the grill-ground meat the bacteria is ground throughout. My burger came pink and I decided not to send it back because I was hungry. They say they have hte BEST fries-I thought the fries were too overcooked and not made properly. Real french fries are deepfried twice-once to seal the fries then a second fry to crisp them. I can't understand how they claim to have the best fries? Overall, I would go back.

  • K F.

In the category of fast food burgers, it exceeds the others. Plenty of options to put on the hamburger, which itself is well made. The fries are a little too salty. But there are a lot of them, and mine were at the proper texture. Service was very friendly.

Excellent burger for a decent price - not a fan of the fries-like mine crispy!

This place is awesome. I probably walked in at 9:40pm on a Wednesday, close to closing time, but even though it was late and fairly empty they were still going strong, I didn't feel like I was inconveniencing them at all. I'm really picky about burgers, I have to really be having a craving to want to get one, and the burger here absolutely hit the spot. It was cheap and big (I guess their "regular burger" has two patties so a "little" burger is really a normal sized one). All of the toppings are included in the price of the burger, no matter what you want on it. I went takeout-style and it was ready pretty quick. The burger was just perfect, the fries were amazing...it was just a great experience. Enough said.

Since this place opened a few months ago all I've been hearing are rave reviews, so before heading over to Coca Cola Park for an Iron Pigs game last night, I decided to make a quick stop and try the place out - To end it right here, It didn't live up to the hype. (Obviously I didn't end it with that, so please, read on...) The atmosphere in the place is very loud and busy. I walked in right at 6:30 and there was about 4 or 5 people waiting in line ahead of me, which, with 2 registers open only amounted to about a 5 minute wait to order - which I was fine with, I had been told the place gets packed and to expect a line. (I should point out that I must have randomly hit a good time because when I got my food, the line had grown to stretch halfway through the restaurant and pretty much stayed that way until I left.) Now, for the menu: Burgers, Hot Dogs, Fries - That's IT. I ordered 2 of their "Little Cheeseburgers", which turned out to be the size of a typical Fast Food cheeseburger, so I could only imagine what the regular size was. They have like, 15 or so toppings to pick from, which was unique. I always appreciate a variety of choices, but when it comes down to it, I like my burgers pretty plain, so while this is nice, it didn't help me much. After ordering you are shuffled down to the end of the counter where you wait to hear your order number called. It took pretty long to get our food, and there were several numbers after us who got theirs first, so that upset me a little, but once we finally got everything it was easy to find a place to sit. I must say, I somehow missed the giant boxes of peanuts sitting around everywhere that you can take for free, and I was really upset about it. If I would have seen them and got to munch of peanuts during the wait, I might have given this review 4 stars.. Eh, Probably not. Anyway, I was expecting to bite into this burger and experience heaven, from what I had been hearing, but in reality? It was OK, That's it. No fireworks, No choir singing in the background, it was just OK. About 5 bites in I realized that it tasted like something familiar, then, it came to me! I was eating a $3+ version of the Wendy's 99 Cent Double Stack Cheeseburger, minus the 2nd pattie. Seriously, it was the EXACT SAME TASTE. Now, don't get me wrong, if I have to eat a Fast Food cheeseburger, I would choose the Wendy's Double Stack, but I'd rather pay 99 Cents and not have to drive all the way to Allentown for it. There were 2 of us, and together we ordered my 2 Little Cheeseburgers, 2 Hot Dogs, Fries and a Soda; the bill came to well over $20, which was a bit much for glorified fast food. My boyfriend, who considers himself a Hot Dog and French Fry connoisseur had the same reaction as me: "It's Okay". So here I am today, anxiously awaiting a reasonable hour so I can call every one of these people who ranted and raved about 5 Guys to find out what they thought was so special about it, because after leaving last night, I was pretty content with not going back anytime soon.
