Anytime I find myself craving chinese, I will wait until I am able to order from here. This realization was determined after trying yet another spot that was supposed to have amazing food. I travel all over the country and have tried soo many chinese restaurants. None have come even close to here. Simply put they have consistency to their quality. I have ordered from here for over a decade and never experienced an off day. Some details on the food - first and most important, they make the food to order. They do some prep work ahead, but this food is not just sitting in the back under a warmer waiting for someone to call or walk in. Second, the ingredients are all fresh and cooked perfectly. My third point might vary on your preference, but I get really annoyed when I order Lo Mein and am given noodles with vegetables like carrots and celery and meat. To me, if you are calling it Lo Mein, it should hold some semblance to the original recipe. Here, if you order Beef and Broccoli, General Tsos, fried rice, Kung Pao, etc you will receive just that. You can also request all white meat chicken, if dark meat is not your thing. I very rarely write reviews, but Empire Palace deserves to be recognized for the quality food and wonderful service they provide. I have never had a bad experience here.

I am a fan of this place simply because their sit down service is extraordinary! They have always been attentive and friendly, which keeps me coming back! Now, the flavor of their food isn't anything special in comparison to any of the other Chinese style restaurants you'll find, but this is an example of when customer service counts. BTW, take the complimentary tea they bring to the table. It's delicious!

My favorite chinese restaurant. I've lived in NYC and Chicago. During that time I've only found one place that compares. I recommend everything. Weird enough, their friend rice is freaking awesome. Of all things, I recommend that!

Two can get lunch for about $14 which includes tea, egg roll or soup and an entree that always sends me home with leftovers. The only thing I've ever disliked here was the sushi. They are pretty flexible too - I've requested substitutions like brown rice, steamed entrees or sauces on the side and it's never a problem.

The family and I've been going to Empire Palace for years. I would say with the exception of a couple meals everything has been very good to excellent. The owner is very nice and knows exactly what we want before we even order.

This is a very good Chinese restaurant. We have eaten here for over 5 years with nothing but good results. It is evident that the ingredients are always fresh and the flavors are superb.

I've been eating at this place for twenty years and it's always been super delicious until now. I just ordered my usual and now i can't leave the bathroom! I have intense stomach cramping and explosive diarrhea. I don't know what went wrong today? The only thing I did different was order take out since I usually dine in. But what the hell? My anus seriously is on fire! I'm super sick and hopefully not food poisoned since that's no fun at all. I'm not sure if I will ever eat here again after today. I haven't even made it through my whole meal I got instantly sick after eating two spring rolls and wonton soup? Maybe something wasn't cooked all the way or it was bad food handling either way I'm extremely disappointed and I can't believe this happened to me at one of my favorite places :

Ordered take out and was one of the worst General Tso chicken we have had in a long time. Sweet and sour chicken was overdone. Lomein was OK.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
