This drive in seemed to be almost brand new. The manager came out to greet us since we had such a big group. Our orders were processed in . timely fashion with minimal errors (remedied by the manager). The shakes and slushes were very good.

I have been to a lot of Sonic's in Oregon and this one needs some work. When I rolled up to the speaker in the drive thru the person the came on rudely said "Can I help you" I was caught off guard them when I got to the window it pretty much was the same. When I when to grab a fry when I got the bag they where cold. Hopefully that was not the way they always treat people.

My first time here and for my very first Sonics experience, It will most likely be my last. Especially, since the closest one is in Puyallup, WA. Nothing great to mention except they had neat sauce compartments to hold your sauces.

alas.....I went...I ate (gag).....and I still have no idea why people are so in love with Sonic. This is a love affair I can't even begin let alone end. Maybe its because its new to this area, maybe its because I didn't grow up on it, but seriously yuck!!! The fries were soggy and saltless, my soda was soda-y (thank god! Had to wash some flavors out) and the food left me wishing I could muster up a good vomit just to get it out. My companion & I both disappointedly crumpled our garbage, disposed of it in the container...and drove away lacking the satisfaction we hoped for. My love affair looks like its safe and going strong with Burgerville.

For a corporate fast-food chain, it's not so bad. The food is about what you'd expect, unless you're expecting something better than fast food. I have two major reasons for going here: A) you can sit in your car and eat, which I much prefer being the germophobic misanthrope that I am, and B) the happy hour (half price drinks and shakes 2-4 PM) is a great way to get a cheap fix on drinks like cherry limeade chillers.

    Lemon Berry Slushes!!!

Do not waste your time, which you will need plenty. Slow and unforgiving service coupled with the blandest burgers and tasteless fries. YUK!

When they were building a Sonic in my area I was really excited - My mom lives in Tennessee and I've been to Sonic there and its great fast food - especially shakes, etc. But this Sonic in Wilsonville - not so much. The worst part are the dumb teenagers they've hired there - they can't seem to get your order right, they're slow - not good service. Food is mediocre for even for fast food - I do like the cream pie shakes - but even then - I've been served a shake without a straw - how am I supposed to drink it?!

  • Jonathan G.

4 stars since the burger was not great. The onion rings were good, and had the triple chocolate brownie shake which is delicious!

  • Vanessa W.

I only usually go to Sonics for their cherry limade. It is the best thing in the house. Their food, well its just okay. We ordered popcorn chicken and chicken strip, all very dry. It was hard to eat without dippping sauce. Overall, foods just alright, but I would come here for their vherry limade! Its a 5 star quality drink!!!

They get one star because no free refills. I have now spent my last dollar at sonic. I will eat else where.

  • Bob M.

A nutritious meal? I order the burger, keep your nasty cheese but a add a bucket of raw onions, tots with fry sauce and one of those coconut cream shakes. I go into a glaucoma induced flop on the floor with my eyes rolling into my head. This is my idea of fun as long as I do not consider what I have just done to myself. Entertainment, other than watching fellow dinners, are the rats glossy and the size of smallish dogs frolicking in the shrubbery. -1 point for me having to do this in near freezing temperatures. Rolling teenagers with hot food makes me way too nervous to use that whole bell hop thing.

We ordered our food at 8:20 pm through a speaker that the employee acknowledged was broken and he couldn't hear us. He repeated our order and gave us our total. We waited until 8:55 and pressed the order button again to ask what the hold up was, and the guy said they didn't have our order in. He again, tried to take our order through the broken speaker, he couldn't hear us again so he came out to hand write our order on paper at 9:10pm. By far the worst "fast food" experience I've had. Never have I waited so long for fast food. We would have left long ago had we not driven all the way to wilsonville from SE portland for this food.

WHERE ARE ALL THE SONICS! UGH! I am from Texas and Sonic is a staple back home. In every small town and its usually the place to be if you are a teen in a small town. You have drive up stations and you push the button to order. They have a drive through too for those getting something quick. Cheap drinks during their happy hour and worth going outside of that due to so many options and great food! Going to Sonic reminds me of my childhood when we got the brown bag specials and foot long chili dogs. EVERYTHING IS GOOD AT SONIC! I drive just to get a blue ocean water or sweet tea with lemon. MUST TRY IF YOU HAVENT!

Was shopping at Fry's and thought, hey, there's a Sonic down the street, I haven't been to one in a long time since there's not one near me.. so I pulled in around 830pm and ordered 2 burgers and some tots. Too bad the burger was luke warm at best and the cheese was still cold. No excuse for cold patties. there were 4 cars on the lot, why are you serving cold patties?? Tells me that it wasn't cooked fresh and the patty was either sitting on the side or was sitting cuz the tots weren't done. Either way, both a fail and I'll never go again, I'd rather spend my $$ at 5 guys.

Was very pleased with the food. I especially enjoy the strawberry limeade. While I was there one of the girls fell. It looked like it really hurt, but she picked her self up and went right back to working (minus the roller skates). I was very impressed. The only thing I would like is a inside place to eat instead of a shaded area with a heater. Go at happy hour.

Sonic is GREAT and this location lives up to the sonic name. Quick service, freshly made food. I got a large order of Chili Tots and they were absolutely delicious. The burgers were big and juicy. Etc etc. Another great sonic location.

If you read my review of the Sonic in Vancouver, where I live, you remember that I was not a Sonic fan beforehand, I kind of loathed the chain. It goes back to a late night in Deming, New Mexico, in 1989, but I digress; this new incarnation of Sonic caught me by surprise and my opinion was changed. This afternoon a trip to Wilsonville was in order for a Costco run. Upon exiting Costco the line for cheap eats looked like New Years Eve at Disneyland to get on Space Mountain (everyone should spend one New Years Eve at Disneyland, it's wicked). My co-worker and I opted for something else and headed south to the Sonic. Formerly a big dirt lot for years and years someone planted a little Sonic seed and it grew into this sprawling hub of activity. We decided to eat there outdoors as it was perfect weather, not much wind and a little overcast. We walked up to the big menus, made decisions and pressed the button to place our orders. Quicker than you would think food came out a side door on a nice little tray just for us. Teenage boy took our debit cards and disappeared for a while, but returned dutifully. A quick check of on-line banking shows he did nothing untoward with our cards. There it sat in front of us, a lunch for the ages with Tots instead of fries and lots of fry sauce we dug into our burger and chicken wrap. You would think with such a large array of items on the menu that things would taste a little more mundane than they do, but somehow the do not. It was a nice satisfying meal at a fair and reasonable price. Good food, more drink options than Carter has little liver pills and tots done right. Hard to beat.

Tater Tots - an extensive list of beverages (sodas, slushies, shakes, cream slushies, smoothies, coffees, teas, limeaid, floats, ) - your standard burgers, not-so-standard burgers, hotdogs, chicken, breakfast "stuff".... You have to be pretty finicky to not find something you like if you like anything at other fast food joints (though I don't remember any mexican choices beyond a breakfast burrito). I am not thrilled about "car side service" and wish they had an inside dining room - though I've eaten at the tables outside on nice days and it was fine. The drive through experience was fine for us - I didn't feel like the people taking our order or money were unpleasant. Service was fast, the food was freshly prepared. And they have half-priced drinks from 2-4pm..... so if you're in the 'hood, it's a great time to get something to drink.

I like the food but wish they had salads. I love the flavored drinks so many to chose from. Nice employees. The drive up is a little hard to get through sometimes. Overall I like it here.

Supersonic is a word when people start to listen Especially big eared people, they pay close attention You might not believe it, you might not even buy it But when it comes to our lady, you might even try it (Beatbox) Supersonic You see, the 'S' is super and the "U' is for unique The 'P' is for perfection and you know that we are freaks The 'E' is for exotic and the 'R' is for raps So tell those nosy people just to stay the hell back Supersonic What can I say? Kinda 'unique' to have a drive-in, esp. in Wilsonville. I'm a 'freak' for their strawberry limeaid. The grilled chicken w'rap' was OK and people should not be all 'nosy' when I'm placing my order over the loudspeaker. Now I really don't recommend you eat here, so stick to the limeaid. When the afternoon doldrums hit, instead of making a coffee run, we might come here for Happy Hour. Drinks are 1/2 price from 2 - 4p daily. They even have coffee drinks with a 'sonic boom' (shot of espresso). Boom-chika-wa-wa.

I have been to several Sonic Drive-In's now and like I expected from a national chain the food is the same at all of them. To me Sonic food is very bland. But they always cook it hot and fresh and the help is always pretty good.

The Chicago Dog is just like being back in Chi-Town. And I love the unique delivery system, though I always seem to drop something in the car when I'm eating in it.

Well, I wonder if I'm defeating my work out at the local Ballys by stopping here on the way home. :) My favorite thing here is the diet lime aid. And I'm a sucker for the 2p to 4p span of time know as their happy hour. The food is actually tasty for fast food. Today after our work out (I know and I wonder why the scale doesn't go down) I had a chicken sandwich with whole wheat bun (love it) and fries along with the lime aidl. Very tasty. One of my favorite things is the fry sauce. We all really know it is just mayo and ketchup mixed together but nonetheless, I love it. I really like the trash bins right by the exit so you can toss all your food trash on the drive out. I'll be back.

The screenplay I wrote in the creative writing class I had to take at PCC was supposed to have involved a trip to Sonic when the nearest one was in Idaho. The characters, analogs of my friends and I of course, would have a crazy adventure involving petty theft, public urination, enough substance abuse to give Jack Valenti a stroke and a car it takes several weeks to find once parked. Alas, I couldn't fit it in. My trip to Sonic involved nothing more than a long bus ride and a lot of walking around nearly identical buildings. A let down? Maybe, but ordering from a drive thru board whilst standing was pretty awesome. The fries were underwhelming (no salt AT ALL) but the burger was pretty good. And they served it to me at 9:45am. Sweet! I finished the meal kinda wishing I'd ordered a second burger, but I didn't eat against until 7:45pm, and that was pre-loading for booze rather than hunger. And I walked A WHOLE LOT today. Good deal. Buy some freaking salt.

I'm still not impressed with the food. My husband and son like the hot dogs, but I've given up on ordering and trying food items here. The dollar menu at any number of fast food places are better. The tater tots are at least okay. The drinks are good. I like some of the slushies, as well as the shakes, though I mostly order the slushies since then I don't need a dairy pill. I love the fact that I can add flavors to drinks, so if I do get a shake I can get chocolate-caramel or whatever. The additional charge is minimal. The location is hideous. Getting out of the parking lot was bad enough before Fred Meyer's went in and is worse now, since the closest driveway out to the street only lets you turn right...when the main road, freeway access, etc., is to the left. You want to instead go away from that road and out the other driveway in the complex, which leads to the main road, but if you were in the drive-through that involves a 360 degree right turn...done mere feet from the road where people who are coming IN will make a right turn in. Hopefully their brakes are good.

We head here if we are craving an ice cream treat but don't want to drive to a Dairy Queen. It doesn't quite satisfy like DQ always does, but it can hit the spot. As for the food, we usually don't partake. If I am going to have a greasy hamburger and fries, there are so many better options even just in Wilsonville. They do give diners the option of tater tots, I do give them props for that.

Lets chat about my first time at a Sonic. I was impressed that they have breakfast and lunch items all day and that they have those trash cans along the drive thru with the long chutes at car level. I always take advantage of those handy little cans! I was excited that I had two menus to pick from so I got a little crazy and ordered from both. I had the breakfast burrito with bacon, small fries & popcorn chicken. Breakfast of champions, right? Well, the fries were unsalted limp noodles, the egg was runny - so runny in fact, it soaked the tortilla making it gummy and swollen. The popcorn chicken was mostly bread and all items were barely cold. The best thing about my decision to go to Sonic was the last minute choice to add a big diet coke to wash down what little I ate of that crap. Oh and quit using styrofoam!

Since Hawaii has no Sonic Drive-In locations, stopping at the Wilsonville location to/from Corvallis is always a treat. Service is always fast and friendly...the food hot and tasty. Would definitely be back and recommend to friends...

To quote Bob Farrell of Farrell's Ice Cream Parlours "Persistence and Consistence will build success". I am convinced Sonic founders took this to heart. Every burger I have tasted exactly the same as the last time I was there. When I am ready for it again, I know where to go. Aside from the food and service from being consistent; there is that fact that it is very affordable. I have been several times, I enjoy it, and I will be a semi regular (my palate leans Asian). Only one critique; it's not a good PNW dining experience. I know it's Sonic's why to have drive up service and outdoor seating. But I think they should incorporate a simple warm outdoor/indoor seating. The only thoughts coming to mind is a tent situation, but I am no architect.

I've heard about drive-ins with bellhops and such. My parents told me about them. And drive-in movies, which I actually got to experience a few years ago at one of the last ones in Dallas, Oregon. But anyway, the whole skate-up-to-the-window concept is lost on me. I don't really get it, and I sure as hell don't really care. Well, one of my lovely coworkers has been talking for months about how Sonic is coming to Wilsonville. You know, the place that has over 10 billion slushie combinations? Yeah. I don't get it either. My mom said it wasn't that awesome, so why even go. Not to mention the fact that if I go for food that's fast, I generally don't opt for something that resembles, well, fast food. Anyway, so said coworker cons me and another coworker into going for lunch. And I had no idea, but it's not a place where you can go inside and sit. There's a drive THROUGH, a walk UP (and picnic tables OUTSIDE. C'mon...it's OREGON), and a DRIVE IN. Errrr.... So we pull into one of the weird drive-in slots and stare at the order screen baffled. My coworker is convinced that servers come out on skates. We press the button and order three separate orders, and a while later, someone WALKS out to our car and gives us our grub. (Talk about totally inefficient!) One guy's burger had everything on it, which isn't what he wanted. That got sent back. A few bites into my own burger, I realize, hey this isn't what I ordered, either. A bunch of mustard and NO BACON. So when the girl comes back with the corrected order, I have to break the news to her that MINE isn't the right order, either. She apologizes and says that they have new people in the kitchen (but the restaurant is new, right?). By this time, we find that the corrected order STILL isn't what he ordered, but he decides to eat it anyway. Finally I get my corrected order, and it was, indeed, correct. As far as fast food goes, these burgers were pretty damn satisfying, I'm not going to lie. And when I finally got my bacon, there was baaaaacon galore. Like candy. Only meat. And, Sonic gives you the option of fries, TOTS, and onion rings for no extra cost. The tots were kind of bomb. Eek! And the chocolate malt wasn't too shabby, either. This is definitely a place to stay away from. Because it was kind of really good. But I doubt we'll be going back soon because of all the order mess-ups. And because it's kind of weird sitting in a car and eating, even if that's, you know, the point of fast food.

Pssst. I've found the new hot hangout spot for Wilsonville teens. It's the dumpster at Sonic. This where is a majority of the teenage Sonic employees go on their breaks to hangout and smoke. It is a very nice dumpster, fortified with a large privacy steel wall and gate. You can still see in there however, whenever someone opens the gate to get in, you can see them in there smoking and talking on their cell phones. This Sonic is very new, about a month old. The restrooms however would make you think it is 10 years old, very dirty already! Oh yeah, the food. If you've never had Sonic burgers before, I suppose it is pretty good, at least it is something different then your average Wilsonville fast food. Nothing bad to say about it. The breakfast burritos however are amazingly excellent. Nice fresh ingredients and not all mixed together. The service is usually OK, but it has been very slow at times too, I guess it is because all the employees seem like they are under 19 years old. If they could get some decent management and experience in here and clean up the restrooms, it would be better. Oh, and trying to eat a fast food meal in your car while watching all the employees "sneak" into the dumpster is actually entertaining, I wouldn't change that.
