This place has been so hit an miss over the years that it's not worth chancing it any more. The quality is not what it used to be and it hasn't been good, let alone exceptional, for years. I have worked in Wilsonville for over 8 years and have frequented this store enough to feel that I have an unbiased opinion of this site. Our selections for sandwiches have only recently increased with the addition of yet another Subway and the almighty Jimmie Johns. I think the parent company ought to look into this specific store as it seems the inmates run the asylum- similar to the store on Barbur Blvd. before it was closed down. It is better now that the thugs have moved on. They were grunters, to say the least. I just had a dough bread sandwich. The bread was either not proofed or not baked correctly. It was doughy, so when you smashed it, as the sandwich came out of the bag that way, it stayed flattened. No spring back whatsoever, no crust, no differentiation of the outside from the inside other than color. It was just past the consistency of elasticity you would find of bread dough. It was gross, I tossed most of the bottom portion, as it seemed worse from the oil and vinegar dunking it got. There was a time when the quality was good and the employees paid attention to the orders. I asked for extra pepperoncinis on my sandwich. I always ask for extra, they never offer to charge me for them, but then again, they never seem to give them to me either. I had 5 cutup sections on my sandwich primarily located on one side. This is the same amount that I would have gotten if I had not asked for extra, by the way. I also had 1/2 of a tomato slice (so a half moon) on each half of my 8" sandwich. It has been this way for years, since the thugs ran the place. Someone needs to take the reins back and get this site under some quality standards and management supervision. They also charge $1.40 for a 12 oz CAN of soda, which could be purchased from Costco less than 2 miles away for about 35 cents a can- before deposit. Wilsonville needs a decent, Oregon based sandwich shop. This isn't it.

I was excited to see a big town hero because I was starving for lunch and I love their sandwiches. I was a little worried when the outside looked really run down ... But I was trying to be optimistic because BTH has always been great at every location I've been to. The minute I walked in I was hit with a REALLY strong smell of mildew. I thought maybe it was just something by the front door, but it continued everywhere. After ordering my turkey sandwich I went to the bathroom to wash up and it just kept getting worse. Floor tiles are separating with tons of bacteria in between. Every wall is covered with about a foot of dirt at the bottom, even in the bathroom. I decided to eat in my car since the smell was already starting to give me a headache. After unwrapping my BTH I found the bread to be hard (looked days old) and cracking on the top. The cheese was hard too. I REALLY wish I would have drove the extra 3 miles and went to the one in Tualatin. Very gross and bad experience.

I have had good Big Town, and this place is not on par with that. Gets busy do to its location and not enough people to handle it. Food not great.

Sandos are great and the owner is a very good guy. Good to see a local business doing well.

I went here yesterday for the first time and I must say I was fairly impressed. The restaurant looks industrial which I liked. The cashier was friendly enough. I ordered the large turkey berry sandwich on white bread with swiss cheese. Unlike Subway, Big Town Hero isn't afraid to put lots of meat and cheese on the sandwich. The sandwich was very good and I could taste the ingredients. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is the bread on my sandwich was soggy on one side due to the amount of mayonnaise on it. But I will definitely be returning. They also had some good looking cookies at the counter which I will be getting next time.

Disappointed to see that this location seems to be going downhill. It appeared very dirty, the floors, the nasty/stained seats near the front of the counter. I noticed the workers weren't even wearing gloves this time. Sandwiches were not as good/fresh as they used to be. Sadly, we won't be returning here.

I love BTH and was excited that there was now one so close to my new house. I've been going to BTH on Walker Rd for years and always had good experiences there. Unfortunately, this location was a big disappointment. It seemed dirty - the floors, the tables, the countertops and the place had kind of an unpleasant odor. Normally, I would smell fresh bread baking at BTH, but not at this location. Do they even bake their own bread here? Speaking of bread, the bread on my Very Berry Turkey was the worst I've ever tasted! Dry, stale, tasteless! Not the usual fresh and flavorful BTH bread that comes with my sandwich. I ended up throwing half of my sandwich away. Sorry to say that for the time being, I will not be returning and will drive the extra few miles to find a better location. Maybe in a few weeks, they will have gotten their act together and I will give it another try.

These are my lunch options near my work: 1. Starbucks 2. Pizza Schmizza 3. Panda Express 4. Burger King 5. Costco (I have no card!!) 6. Big Town Hero So, as demonstrated above, there's not much choice, and what I do have isn't too healthy. Presumably, the "safest" choice would be Big Town Hero. And I was actually really excited when I found it, because when I lived in Monmouth, the Big Town Hero ROCKED. The first time I went to this Big Town Hero, it was pretty empty, and the owner/cashier was on the phone with God knows who. I waited about five minutes for him to acknowledge my presence, and when he finally did, he still didn't get off the phone. He took my order while he was on the phone, and didn't even TRY to exchange pleasantries. It took another while to actually get the sandwich, which I was afraid wasn't actually the Turkey-Bacon-Avocado, seeing that the cashier couldn't even repeat my order. It was, but there was way too much mayonnaise on it. They put mayonnaise on EVERYTHING...gross. I went back yesterday, hoping that it was a fluke, and to my dismay, it wasn't. This time, there was a long line, and when I finally got through it, the cashier--this time a hooligan wearing a baseball cap and too-tight tees, and too-baggy jeans--still was not very nice. I ordered my Very Berry Turkey...HOLD THE MAYO...and it actually was finished in a timely manner. I got back to my office and the bread was squished, but it tasted decent. An hour or so later, though, I got pretty sick. I don't know if it was the sandwich or what. But it can't help that the people I saw preparing the food weren't wearing gloves. And the bread was just out in the open. To top it off, I have an almost filled punch card from the BTH in Monmouth, and I had to get a new one here, because, although BTH is a chain, it has "separate owners." Dutch Bros. and Pizza Schmizza are chains that have separate owners, and they don't have this problem! NOT coming back to this location. Guess I'll just be brown-baggin' it.
