If you're looking for a good place to grab a soup, salad, or sandwich, this is a great place! This protein salad is a nice healthy touch on the menu that has lots of carbs! It always smells so delicious inside. Their Togo program has become so much easier! I am a Panera fan and this location never lets me down!

Panera in Nyberg Woods is a filthy place. It smells so bad in the area of the drink machines and where the food is prepared and picked up, I basically lost my appetite. At least it was today at 2:30pm. I stood there wondering how the employees could handle the smell and started looking around at the filthy walls and floors. Didn't want to imagine the areas I couldn't see. I then realized the garbages are RIGHT there and was praying for a power washer and some disinfectant. Bad design and bad management in my humble opinion. Finally got my order and ran. Surprisingly, it was good. Though not on the menu, it was a Chicken Caesar Sandwich. Strange presentation for the title but tasty. The bread IS very good there so I'll give it 2 stars. The rest needs some attention. A couple times before that, my food was bad or mediocre. I'll try a few things and will stick to what's good. Cookie for lunch? The new soba bowl was disappointing but edible. The chicken looked fake and the portion was about a third of an authentic noodle bowl. I wouldn't order it again. One sandwich I ordered just wasn't edible and I'm not picky. I'm pretty sure it was the Turkey Cranberry Flatbread. Just don't go there. My advice, stick to the basics at Panera. For some reason people like that place, like my teenage kids. Can't quite figure it out. I think it's just a trendy place for people that will pay the high prices and not think too hard about the quality, take the cleanliness for granted, and not question the portion/price relationship. It's kinda hit or miss. Last word, Lysol.

Today was my first and last time ever eating at a Panera Bread! It was lunch time so it was extremely busy, so when there was no where to sit but outside I understand. I had my 9 month old with me and it was chilly out, so sitting outside was not an option for us. When my sandwich was ready and I went to the clustered counter of orders and receipts trying to figure out which one is mine, when I finally found it and got the attention of the employee and asked if he could wrap this to go because there was no where to sit, the eye roll I received with no verbal response started the downward spiral. When I finally sat down to eat my turkey blta, I find just one hunk of avocado on only one side of the bread, and terrible microwaved cold fake bacon on only one side as well. The really irritating this is you charged me nearly $9 for this garbage. The $5 kids turkey sandwich had cheese that looked like a Kraft single which I wouldn't feed to my dog let alone my child. So disappointing and a waste of $14

My mom and I both ordered the turkey BLT-A.. Both were awful. I'm not overly picky, but wow. Bread was soggy and bacon was cold. It seemed as if the whole sandwich was frozen, thawed, and sent out on a plate. Almost $9 for the worst BLT I've ever had. This was my first experience with panera bread.

Gave this location another try and this time we weren't disappointed. Soba bowl was hot and delicious this time, my friends soup and sandwich was tasty, and the chocolate walnut cookie emmmmmmm!

Very disappointing. I ordered a 1/2 sandwich (panini) and salad and wasn't pleased with either. I also think almost $10 for a small 1/2 sandwich and salad is too expensive. The panini had an overpowering mustard sauce and the turkey was almost nonexistent. The Cesar salad was very bland and had a drop of dressing and only a tiny amount of chicken on it. I could go almost anywhere else and get a better meal for less money. I won't be back.

Food's good, a little on the spendy side but healthy and satisfying enough, counter staff could be a little more friendly and enthusiastic. Snooty people tend to frequent the place but it's still far better than fast food any day

My sis and I had just taken my mom to the doctor and wanted to have lunch with her and knew that Panera was close by and did lunch. Done. The service was extremely good and I don't want to take anything away from the people who work there. They are good. The food was not. I ordered the Turkey Avocado BLT. Now, maybe it is just me, but BLT's should be toasted! No, this was cold (not particularly good) white bread (very small). It had cold chunks (not slices) of turkey on it, that kept falling off (because it was not sliced...chunks do not work here). The tomato was flavorless. The avocado chunks were there, but there weren't enough of them. The bacon was two small slices of something that looks like it came out of the refrigerated section of the supermarket, clearly not cooked on site. Very disappointing. I also got a *free* pastry, because it was my birthday month. I got their version of a monkey muffin because I thought it would be a good, easy-to-split dessert that we could share. But I didn't like it. It looked great but the taste didn't match. There was some odd spice that they put it that just didn't seem to belong there. It was also sort of soft, not pastry-like. My mom had clam chowder, which she liked. And some tortellini. But the portions were incredibly small for the price. My sis had a half sandwich and some soup and she seemed satisfied but certainly not overwhelmed. I will not go back.

So this is where I popped my Panera bread cherry and omg, I wish we had one of these in Hawaii. Breads are excellent, baked to perfection, very crispy outside and soft in the inside. I am in love with Panera bread.

Came here for my spinach artichoke soufflé that I love so much, ordered a smoothie only to hear they were out of bananas after I had paid and waited. The manager was super apologetic, gave me cash refund, cup of tea and cookie! This is outstanding customer service at its best!

So often when you try to be cool, you end up with an uncool result. This is the case at Panera Bread in Tualatin. My daughter and I went their for lunch. We wanted a light lunch and lite is what we got. which is what Panera brags about. We ended up with $7 bill each and 1/2 sandwich with no taste and no panache. I'm so tired of all show and no substance. Rude help because they think they are saving ing the world. But not able to deliver a descent lunch at a reasonable price.

Atmosphere gets a solid 4, service a 3, location 4, food product and presentation a soft 3. It's the high-dollar assembly line soup and sandwich joint of the NW! Fo' sho! I am sorta certain why it's packed during lunch hour in a dense commercial district. People want fast food, without actually having fast food. They seek the notion and comfort that if they eat at a place that has house made bread, decent meat cuts, and fast service, they are doing themselves a huge mental service. Well...maybe. The bread is fresh, but not "great" bread. The rest of my meal seemed a little short-sided because of the bread itself, actually. Most of the meal is bread! I didn't get an equal portion of meat, cheese, or veggies in my sandwich. I opted for a side of a sliced apple, which was the best part of my meal. The apple was sliced into nice pieces, and made for a refreshing side for my lunch consisting of mostly bread. If I had gotten the chips, I would have been all starched out and wouldn't have been able to eat them. For $10 for the Sammy, apple, and soup...80% bread, I could have went and gotten a nice high-protein meal somewhere else and saved myself about $4 easily. At some point people are going to catch on to places like this that capitalize on selling high amounts of carbohydrates and little protein and fiber for high-dollar prices, all because of branding and false product image. Panera Bread is super overrated, overpriced, and oversold. I'm not buying it, guys! Get some better options, better portions, better product for a better price and I'll be back. You got everything else going right now. Don't blow it!

An adequate place to grab a bite in Tualatin. The food is decent but nothing special. It can be really busy during the lunch rush.

I paid $40 for $10 worth of food. First time here was not really impressed with food portions, I guess this is called forced portion control for overweight house wife's who are trying to be trendy. All in all inside was nice just not a lot of bang for your buck.

Seriously how can you run out of all savory bagels before 11am. It's meant to be known for its breads. Big fail. And this isn't the first time this branch has been disappointing. We used to be big fans of Panera but no longer.

I know it's a chain and I shouldn't expect much out of it but after today, I won't be coming back here. They had me wait for five minutes without even saying they'll be right with me which is fine, ok, I'll wait anyway. Not a big deal. I ordered two soups, a French onion and clam chowder. No clam chowder. Well, okay, I'll go with chicken noodle I like chicken noodle anyway. I sit down and then later I get my soups when the ringer rings. I come back and my mom says the French onion soup is cold. That's weird, the cup was hot so it shouldn't be cold. I take a spoonful and try it and it is not super cold but it definitely is not hot or warm. I took it back and asked for a hot soup because this is cold. And they tell me?? To microwave it??? Excuse you but I PAID for hot soup. When I asked them if they can just give me a new cup of hot soup they insisted "it's at 169 degrees so it shouldn't be cold.." Okay well it IS cold and as someone in customer service, you should just take it back and give me a new small cup of soup??! It's not a big deal I would've totally been chill about all this if they just admitted their mistake and simply just fixed it. I just took my soup and ended up microwaving it because it is morning and I am 100% just done and I don't even want to waste my time on someone who clearly doesn't know basic customer service. So ridiculous how rude and apathetic the workers are. This is NOT what I need at an early morning. If I wanted a microwave soup in the morning I would have just eaten canned soup for a dollar in the comfort of my home. I can find better customer service at a Mc Donald's, even. I'd give this place a zero if I can.

I had no idea there was a Panera fairly close to my in-laws house. I should have given a more scrutinizing look at Jen K's reviews. I was excited because my MIL loves soup (like my husband) and this Panera is close to the PetSmart where the dogs-in-law stay at the "hotel". We have been eating a lot of Panera over the past couple of months since we were without a working kitchen for longer than expected so I know more about Panera than I care to admit. Due to our early timing, I didn't get to introduce the MIL to the soup, but we did pick up some goodies for our plane ride back to California. I plan on coming to this location next time I come to town-and of course I will bring the MIL with me!

The bottom line is that the food here is good. Here's the gripe...It is very expensive for what it is. I feel like they try to fill you up on bread to make you forget about the miniscule amount of meat that actually ends up on your sandwich. The restaurants are clean and the staff seem friendly, I just feel like you can get much more for your money just about anywhere else.

You usual panera. Clean, nice people, decent service. Free wifi. Decent food but at relatively higher prices.

    (3)
  • Geoff P.

Great looking menu but ridiculously small portions for the price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful but the amount of pasta I got for $10 for the large size was about the same as one of those dollar banquet meals. The pasta was also horribly overcooked. Glad I tried this place but no real need to come back unless I want to waste some money on overpriced basic sandwiches.

Working in the Tualatin area, Panera is always a perfect place to grab lunch. Can be extremely busy during lunch and you may not find a place to sit.

I come here every Sunday. So yes I am a fan. A lot of people hate on Panera because it is a chain, but there are tons of chains here in Tualatin. Hello suburbs! I like to get half a salad, a cup of soup, and a coffee. Stay away from the pastries unless your looking to gain some weight. Some people were complaining about price, but really $4 for a loaf of bakery bread is a good deal. The ingredients are better than Subway so you can't expect Subway prices people. I will admit, if I found a local place that served good soup and salad I would be tempted to switch. I've never had bad service here and I have never had them mess up my order.

    (4)
  • Ellie T.

Horrible service they mess up our togo order EVERY single time. I don't think that we have ever had one order correct out of the 20+ times we order. You think we would stop but this is the only place to get a quality sandwich or soup in the area.

    (1)
  • Nikee W.

Panera makes really excellent salads, the only downside is that its really expensive. Seriously, it's like $10 for a turkey and apple salad with a hunk of (very tasty) bread and a drink. The salad seemed to be of good quality, although I did not get a whole lot of turkey. They do have a very nice dining area and some good looking pastry items if your in the mood to carb load.

What is there to say about Panera? Everything they have is fine lunch fair. It is rarely my first choice but not my last. They have tasty mac n cheese. The salads always look good. They tend to mess up our order 1 out of 4 visits but I would expect nothing less/ more. Still beats out most of the fast food around.

  • Laura H.

Mediocre is the word at Panera! Lots of choices, convenient, clean location. Decent place for business lunches in Tualatin due to the lack of non-corporate choices in this part of town. The food is your basic soup and salad chain fare. Some bland soups, the tomato is a standout. I enjoy the greek salad, it is a reliable and straightforward choice. The breads are certainly nothing special and I agree with with Danielle K.'s review regarding the rushing during ordering. I always feel so rushed when I order, it is almost comical, could be a skit on SNL.

I live in Tualatin, and my heart sank when I saw this show up in the neighborhood. They represent the opposite of every great food concept in Portland that I'm so happy to have here. I can only hope that my neighbors get over them soon and they have to close the doors. I hate to be the Bad Guy, but this place is no better for you than McEvils. I used to eat there often when I lived in Va. Then I found out that their food is full of calories, fat, and sodium, but is dressed up in a healthy-sounding package. As an example, here is what is in HALF a greek salad: Calories 220 Calories from Fat 180 Total Fat 20g 31% Saturated Fat 4g 20% Trans Fat 0g Cholesterol 10mg 3% Sodium 690mg 29% Total Carbohydrate 7g 2% Dietary Fiber 3g 12% Sugars 2g Protein 5g This HALF salad gives you 1/3 of your daily fat calories, and 1/4 of your sodium intake. Pair this up with their delicious Broccoli and Cheese soup and you'll get 16 more fat grams and 970 more mg of sodium. In total your lunch will pack in 60% of your daily fat calories, and 69% of your sodium intake. They call it the "You Pick 2", and it's very popular. You choose 2 of 3: 1/2 a salad, soup, sandwich. At least they offer nutritional info on their web site, so please check that out.

I don't know about you, but when I am hungry for lunch, I want to be able to EAT lunch at some point! What I don't want to do is stand in line, and think about what I am going to order, only to literally run out of time and have to go back to the office. Have I eaten Panera Bread before and liked it? Yes. This is a review of the experiences at this particular location... Apparently, since their opening in the January time frame, the "lunch rush" has gotten away from them. And this, even though I was on the tail end of the lunch rush (1-ish). How are you going to enjoy the wifi, if you can't sit down? How do you feel about a line that literally goes out the front door? If business is that good, I dunno - maybe hire some more cashiers... Granted, they would also do better to lay off the fatty ingredients and add some more veggies to their sandwiches, but with care you can get something healthy-ish - and if you don't care, or want to splurge, I find the food a cut above many walk-in semi fast food places. And the desserts - there is plenty of variety. Just be prepared for the long wait: bring the 'extended use' battery for your laptop

Panera. Oh, you chain bread shop! Yes, it's true: Chain restaurants are not limited to burger-toting drive-thrus. Apparently, bread can be corporate, too. I did not go to Panera to sit and have a leisurely lunch; I wanted some bread. A loaf of soft and chewy and hot bread. Unfortunately, their overhead menu was not very user-friendly. They had prices for their soups, sandwiches, and salads, but they didn't even list all their breads. Or how much they would cost. And the people at the registers made it pretty clear that I needed to hurry up and order. "Um, what's that one?" I asked, pointing childishly toward some oval loaf with what looked like cheese all over the top. "Ahh-see-aah-go cheese," the girl annunciated. Thanks. "I guess I'll have that one." No label, no price tag. The loaf ended up being a steep $4.29. And then, I was being shooed out before I even had the receipt. I mean, I'm sure she was trying to be nice or something, but when someone hands you your credit card back while at the same time saying, "Okay, have a good afternoon," I get the hint it's time for me to move along. There wasn't even anyone behind me in line. After I asked for a copy of the receipt, she looked at me like I was batty and said, "Yeah, it's coming." Maybe it's just me, but it seems like you'd bade your customer farewell AFTER they got their receipt. Weird. Then they had this basket of samples of this cinnamon roll thing out right next to the till. I took a piece and was trying to eat it, when another worker came up to me and kind of rudely asked me if I was finished with it. Because I was obviously going to eat the entire basket. Those workers...they're strange and need to learn some tact. I had some of the bread in the car, and the cheese on top was really salty. I could tell it was fresh because the inside was really soft, but it wasn't warm. I would give this place two stars (service/price/saltiness), but I imagine if I go back for plain French bread, it'd be ten times tastier.

Given the dearth of tasty restaurant options in the Tualatin/Wilsonville area, I was very excited when I learned a Panera Bread opened in the new shopping center. I've gotten lunch there twice, both times to go, and both times my food came out surprisingly fast even though the restaurant was PACKED. I highly recommened the Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich, piled with peppers, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro hummus on this yummy bread. If you're concerned about your weight at all, though, be sure to read the nutritional info on the web site prior to ordering. Some of the sandwiches are over 1000 calories, which can be a diet killer for some people.

It is always funny when everyone has heard about a place, but you. Before this week I had never heard of Panera and didn't know they were taking over the universe one mini mall at a time. This is one of our regular spots to get a group lunch to go for the office. It is a new location that just opened as part of the new Nyberg Woods shopping center on I-5 in Tualatin. And I must say, I've always had a nice meal when it arrives. Although, one time my meal was forgotten - sigh! I like the cafe menu where you choose two out of three items (soup, salad, sandwich). I really enjoy the Asian Sesame Chicken Salad and Mediterranean Veggie Sandwich. The Grilled Chicken Cesar salad, not so much.

  • Nancy K.

Tualatin is pretty much devoid of any decent restaurants for lunch. This is why I like Panera so much. I really like their salads - I've had a few and they've all be good. I've never had any problems with order screw-ups (knocks on wood) and the service has always been good.

I do not know why, but I kinda like Panera. Going with coworkers on a drizzly day and getitng a soup and sandwich combo can be a really great midday comfort. They are fast, consistent, and tasty. This locations could use a bit more seating. I have actually been forced to take my food to go before because it was completely full. Bummer. I even have a Panera card and you get free stuff!

I don't know what it is about this location, but I always have the best people watching/listening here. From strange, Kardashian-esque apologies between girlfriends to evangelical prayer circles to self-proclaimed world adventurers trying to one-up each other, I never seem to sit around anyone boring here. The food is consistent, although I've had hits and misses. The bread is always wonderful. I love the mediterranean veggie sandwich, which is a healthy option amongst some pretty hefty paninis (that are also delicious, by the way). The black bean soup is good, the tomato soup is really good, and the chicken salad sandwich is very disappointing. The breakfast items are hearty, generous and great tasting as well. If you get their rewards card you're constantly getting free little goodies like free coffee drinks and pastries, so definitely get in on that.

Scarry fake eggs in salad Yikes! Are egg yokes supposed to be spongey??? I DIDN'T THINK SO!!! Now that being said, I took my mother here for a light lunch. My Black bean soup was bland but fine. Nothing exceptional. The outdoor seating area was nice since the sun was out. Pretty design that gives you enough privacy from the road for comfort. The atmosphere was decent inside and out. Seemed nice if you were just meeting some friends for coffee and a chat. My Iced green tea...gross...Waaaaay too sweet and left a weird feeling the back of my throat. I couldn't get my mom to drink it either...I dumped it out. Overall it was too expensive for the lack of quality.

Horrible service they mess up our togo order EVERY single time. I don't think that we have ever had one order correct out of the 20+ times we order. You think we would stop but this is the only place to get a quality sandwich or soup in the area.

I payed $8 for a cold steak sandwich with a little horseradish sauce on it. I feel like I payed to eat someone's leftovers.
