We called about a party of ten adults on a Thursday morning and was told that they didn't take reservations, but that if we arrived before 6pm that it shouldn't be more than an hour wait. We informed the five couples involved, and all arrived by 5:15pm, where the manager informed us that it would be a 3-4 hour wait! He wouldn't even agree to try to accommodate us at adjoining tables. The restaurant is beautiful, and I hear the food is very good, but the sour taste in my mouth can only be remedied by businesses that recognize me as their life-blood and appreciate my patronage. I will not likely try to visit this establishment again. I've since been told by numerous people, with whom I've shared this story, that this restaurant has a ridiculously long wait as a regular practice. Why endure this when there are so many fine dining choices within a 10 minute radius (Oswego Grill, Stanford's, Olive Garden, Gustav's, McCormick's, Macaroni Grill, California Pizza Kitchen, just to name a few!)? Heck, with four hours to kill, I could've reserved space on the Sternwheeler dinner cruise!

Superior to all the other cheesecake factories I've visited around the country. They were incredible! From the moment we sat down the hostess drew attention to the server and told her we had a little one who was one year old. The server brought out some sliced up bananas and graham crackers with our waters. This was so thoughtful! More restaurants should do things like this for kids to keep them occupied and happy whole their parents order and spend money! We had a wonderful appetizer, drinks, and them meal, and of course couldn't leave without delicious cheesecake and homemade whipped cream! Wonderful experience from start to finish and service that was superb! Compliments to the management and maybe they need to go train some of the Midwest locations. Staff ran flawlessly! These are the type of experiences that make you brag to your friends and family about and make you want to come back soon!!

Usual. Redundant. Typical. Corporate chain restaurant with very large menu. Wait was 45 minute when quoted 30. Hostess was not friendly and seemed like she didn't want to be there. Not really anything unique about it. Just another CA restaurant preparing decent food. There is better food out there!

when you step into TCF you feel luxury, extravagance, kind of larger-than-life feel. it would probably be better off being a dance club. as far as a restaurant and cheesecake joint it barely scrapes by. the food is really pricey, the quality and taste hovers around mediocre. the food is not actually that bad but not worth the hefty price. some of the menu items sound too insane for me to even try "tex mex eggrolls" - get out of here drinks and everything is $$.. cheesecake slice runs about $7-8. the cheesecake is alright but, only for a few bucks more i could have a whole cheesecake that will likely taste as good or better. can't quite figure out why this place is so popular

The waitress was pretty nice and she did absolutely fine. But I ordered the Alfredo and my sister ordered the four cheese pasta both with chicken. Unfortunately the pasta was only lukewarm and the chicken was dry and bland. Fortunately they did replace them. My mom then proceeded to go to the bathroom and there were no toilet covers and she could see straight through to the next stall and could see everything going on in that stall. She returned highly upset. She talked to the manager who was highly condescending and insincere but said he would have the seat covers replaced right away. 20 minuets later after my sisters and i had to go to the restroom and my mother came with us. The bathroom was gross. There was toilet paper on the floor one of the toilets wouldn't flush and not only was there still no toilet seat covers and the hole still there but also the doors locking the toilet paper and seat covers was unlocked and kept hitting me as I tried to use the restroom. My mom was furious this time as the ever so great manager had done nothing to make the women of the restaurant feel comfortable instead of getting the opportunity to be stared at as we pee. So thank you cheesecake factory for making my moms mother day dinner one for the memery book. Though not at all a good one.

Cheesecake Factory is always such a love/hate relationship. Their food is good don't get me wrong but there always seem to be consistant issues. Forgotton orders, food poisoning of a co-worker, cold food, etc. What brought me back? They have a skinnylicious menu now thank goodness. Their nutrition menu would always make my jaw drop....literally. If you eat here often, don't look. The mexican salad on the skinny menu is quite good but I would ask for salsa or extra dressing. As a person whom doesn't go for the cheesecake they have a plethora of other options both food and dessert.

found bug in my salad. quality check? showed it to Manager and his reaction was as if he's seen this scenario a dozen times. while i love nature I don't want any crawling creatures in my food. GROSS and unsanitary.

Your typical Cheesecake Factory experience. Everytime I go I get the Tomato Basil Chicken Penne, and it didn't disappoint. I always ask for the brown bread (pumpernickel?) as it's so much better than the plain sourdough. I didn't get dessert this time, but if you haven't been to one before I'd suggest any of their great cheesecake flavours, including the red velvet one (my personal favorite). It's still better than anything I've had in Vancouver BC. Thank goodness we have locations much closer than Portland.

Pros: 1. Best place to eat at WA Square 2. Consistent quality and service 3. Large menu 4. Comfortable seating 5. Provides kids with complimentary app's (diced fruit, bread, veggies, etc). Great way to keep them occupied Cons: 1. Long, long, long wait 2. Crowded 3. You're eating in a mall

the service at this cheesecake factory location was outstanding. our server was pleasant and funny and happy and checked in on us 3 times during our stay for lunch. at other cheesecake factories i have been ignored with slow service and servers who were definitely not happy to be at work. one nice thing about chain restaurants is that one can expect consistency in the dishes. i was not disappointed at this location. my favorite Old Fashioned Burger was delicious as usual with the signature charbroiled flavor and the green salad with house dressing was exactly the same as in seattle and lynnwood and spokane. other favorites at cheesecake factories are the lettuce wraps and the huevos rancheros.

What can you say about a successful chain of restaurants that serve pretty darn good food and an amazing selection of desserts with a heavy emphasis on the cheesecake variety in an atmosphere that always seems to be up to date with above average service? On the rare times that I go I say, Yay! I'm a fan! Things we like to eat at CCF: Evelyn's Favorite Pasta BBQ Chicken Salad Chinese Chicken Salad Romano Crusted Chicken (my personal fave) Corn Fritters (tried for the first time tonight and decided I could definitely eat them again, and again, and again...) Avocado egg rolls Mashed Potatoes Cheesecake of choice: Adams Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Ripple or Godiva Choc.

I'm from Spokane and whenever my husband and I are in places with CCFs, we go. We like the food that much. We were staying in Vancouver, but made the 45 minute drive (from our hotel) down to Tigard. When we got there they were out of pagers which should have been a sign, but we put our names in and were told to check back in 45 minutes (saying the wait was an hour). We did some window shopping and returned, only to be told the wait was another 40 minutes--but that the current wait was 2 hours, as if that were some consolation. We waited...and waited...and waited. 40 minutes came and went, husband checked on our status, was told another 5-10 minutes with only 5 other couples in front of us. 20 minutes after that, I sent him in to cancel our table, and it was finally ready. The table they took us to, in the bar, should not exist. It was up against a wall and less than 12" from the couple next to us. Husband could barely get into his seat. His ass was basically in their dinner as he squeezed by. Awesome. We are not large people by any means. We wouldn't have been able to move our arms to eat, let alone converse, in the terrible configuration they stuck us in. We finally cut our losses (that would be 2 hours of our lives we'll never get back), and bailed. We've gone to many very busy CCFs before, and have never had to wait more than about an hour, maybe 1:15 once. Clearly, this one has issues with slow service and/or food. We chose to leave hungry rather than endure any more torture to find out. Update 5/30: I contacted the restaurant directly after writing this review, expressing my concerns. I got a call from the manager saying he'd send me a gift card so I could try them again. 3 months later and I'm not holding my breath on him ever following through.

Okay we waited for two hours they said max one. Now before you think who on earth waits 2 hours let alone one for a chain food it was my neices 16th bday and she likes the place. Well Todd one of the manger is an ego mantic rude dbag. He treated my Dad so rudely that our party of 15 will never come again. Even my neice said the cheese cake lost it's flavor due to the managers crap attitude. Sad times, a fun birthday party turned into a stressful experience. : (

Went here to meet a friend. Wait help was so surly I vow never to return. They were very busy, that's true. It is no excuse for not being pleasant to deal with. They may never realize the effect of poor treatment of a customer. I have many choices of where to go to eat. This will not be one of them.

Headed here for an early lunch (11:30am) and was welcomed by a line of 15+ baby strollers... instant thought, should I stay or go? We stayed and waited the 30 minutes for a booth. After reaching the booth and having a Long Island the environment got a lot better. I was overwhelmed by the menu which looked more like a novel with over 20 pages to decide from. *The waitress was awesome & any questions we had she answered & gave us suggestions! -I ordered the crab cake sandwich ($14.95), stuffed mushrooms ($4.95), Thai tacos ($5.95), & bread (free). All the food was delicious & served hot. ***Next time, I'll wait for dinner and maybe there won't be so many children. I don't mind children but when they're EVERYWHERE screaming & crying... ...it takes away from the experience. DECOR: reminds me of the Motel 6 in Vegas off the strip!

I debated two or three stars, and even though I didn't actively hate The Cheesecake Factory, I was just underwhelmed for what I got. It's a chain, but it's a high end chain. The decor is over the top, but I can't help but feel like it's just trying too hard...like everything else here. The menu is huge and has a wide variety of styles and options. Mexican, American, Italian, Asian, everything is represented. I chose the orange chicken and my friend got a chicken salad. We also had an order of fried cheese as an appetizer. Well, the fried cheese was actually kind of cold. Cold like....out of a freezer and heated up and not quite gone all the way to hot. Either that or it was sitting out for a while for somebody else, who didn't want it or forgot it, and we got it, because it came out almost immediately. Eh. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't that great. Just like my orange chicken. Not horrible, just...nothing special. In fact, Panda Express does it equally well (if you get it right out of the fryer, at least). The complimentary bread to start with was very good though. A sour note was the diet coke I drank. It came from the bar and presumably came from the cocktail gun...and was very watery and thin. I guess it's mostly for mixed drinks, but still, it just wasn't that great. And I like my diet coke, gosh darnit. All that for about fifty bucks. It tried really hard...but it just wasn't that great. I guess the emphasis is really on deserts, but since we were going to the Moonstruck Cafe later that night, we didn't want any of that. I don't see any particular reason to go back, but I wouldn't turn it down if someone else wanted to go there really bad. It just would not be my first, second, or even third choice.

The cheesecake is good--as it should be since its the speciality. However the food is mediocre. I'm scared to go back after ordering biscuit and gravy chicken meal that was sweet. It was disgusting. I don't know who wants sweet gravy and biscuits in a savory meal. Puke. The advertisements in the menu are weird too. I'm sure they make enough money. The place is always packed.

Have eaten here several times. The food is overpriced and the service is mediocre. they always seem to be crowed and you generally have to wait at least 30 min.

I like The Cheesecake Factory. We've never had meal there that wasn't less that really good. Last night however, I made a mistake. And by mistake I mean I ordered the Bleu Cheese BLT burger...and it was pretty good. It won't make me forget about The Halftime's burgers anytime soon, but it was good. The mistake came from ordering a burger in the first place. I had never had one of their burgers because there are so many menu options that sound good (and many have proven to be awesome), that settling for a burger is simply a waste of the 20-45 minute wait you will most likely incur to get a table. So my simple review for TCF is this......order something more elaborate than a burger, enjoy it, have cheesecake, enjoy it also, and waddle out.

The food here is good, if you are willing to wait an hour. The main problem with this restaurant is the GIGANTIC portions! You can feed a family of four on one order! Don't fall into this company's obesity trap! The menu really needs to be pared down, too. Just stick with dishes you do well instead of trying to serve every type of food under the sun!

BEST CHEESECAKE IN THE CITY!!! Get any cheesecake, you won't be sorry. The cheesecake is so soft, light, and creamy. Love this place and highly recommended!!!

The cheesecake factory is phenomenal for a fat man like myself. The portions are huge, the bread is fresh, and the drinks are stiff. In the franchise world, nothing comes close to matching the atmosphere and hospitality that this restaurant delivers. I have tried every single dish on the extensive menu and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this establishment.

I am a CF fan and sadly come to them so often that I know page numbers, what comes on dishes that the menu doesn't indicate, what has left the menu, how the dishes should look, taste, etc. This could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the day/location/staff. Since we had two trips to Washington Square Mall-and it was the daughter and SIL who are doing the low/no carb diet, we decided that CF would give them the most options. What we found at this location is that the service is wonderful(on both visits) but the food is inconsistent. CF, all over the nation is in the process of rolling out their new "Skinnylicious menu" that won't hit the Bay Area until the 9th or 11th of September. It just rolled out here in Oregon this past week and my theory as to why my staple (miso salmon) was off both times I ordered it is simply because the new menu (with 40+) items is just a tad overwhelming for the kitchen to learn and the rest of the staff to execute. The management here is great-offering to fix just about anything, giving us gift cards to return (Tuesday's gift card was used Thursday), wanting to give us dessert either to eat there or to go, etc. We declined the dessert but the attempt to "make it right" would make both Tim Gunn and Gorden Ramsey happy.

Easily my favorite big restaraunts in the area. I've had many items from thier menu and almost all of them were homeruns. The only negative was that once we went, my meal came with mashed potatoes and there was a blue string in the potatoes, probably from one of the dish towels. Nedless to say the meal was free.

I went to the Cheesecake Factory on a weekday afternoon. I wanted to go "before the rush" so I walked around the mall for a bit and then was seated around 5. I was seated at a smaller table for two and promptly greeted by my server. He brought water and asked if I had any questions about the menu. The menu is fantastic because there are so many different things to order, but at the same time, it takes forever to look at everything. They serve breakfast all day, there's appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, simple dishes, fancier and more expensive dishes, a whole menu of "skinnylicious" items which are designed to be low-calorie, two full pages of desserts and on and on. After taking probably 15 minutes to look over everything, I decided on a veggie burger and salad. My server brought two small loaves of bread (one wheat, one white) with really good real butter, and dinner came out shortly. My veggie burger was AMAZING. When you order veggie burgers at restaurants, most of the time they are handmade. Some places use veggies and grains, others use black beans, every place kinda does their own thing. Cheesecake Factory makes theirs with black beans, brown rice, farro grain, beets and onions. It was so flavorful and unique and just simply amazing. I also wanted to try some cheesecake because they're famous for it, so I decided on the original plain flavor. I was actually really disappointed with my cheesecake selection. The cheesecake is made with a lot of sour cream, and it definitely has that tangy flavor to it. Also, it was really soft in the middle, almost running off my fork. Maybe I'm just used to eating a more firm cheesecake, but regardless, I wasn't a big fan. However, I don't think it would deter me from eating there or trying another dessert. It could have just been a fluke. Overall, I'd say a great experience with good service and solidly good food. Just, make sure you come early because this place gets really full really fast.

I have been there multiple times and this will be my first review of it. The service It is a pretty packed restaurant with a decent service. The servers are usually pretty nice and they will assist you and ask you to wait politely. The good thing is they give you thing that can vibrate (not vibrator) when your table is ready. So, while waiting (usually always packed) you can go for window shopping at the mall. Once you are sit on your table, they are pretty nice and fast to take your order The food I have tried different kind of foods here. Nothing really stand out. The cheesecake was good. Any kind of cheesecake will not disappoint you. Pay attention, i said Good not exceptional. Nachos was pretty basic. The portion was huge but the taste was "ummm". Firecrackers salmon for appetizer is recommended. It was actually pretty good. For main dish, the most memorable one is cajun jambalaya pasta. The other pasta was pretty plain. But this one is pretty flavorful. The Atmosphere It was nice place to hang out with friend. I recommend to call in for reservation if you come in big group. It will be pretty noisy but you can join in the crowd and be noisy as well. If it's summer time, sitting outside might be a good idea The location Located in Washington Square mall, so parking is super easy. They have big parking lot. And of course, it's easy to find Will I come back? Only if my friends visiting from outside country in which they dont have cheesecake factory in their countries.

so I love the food.....if you have not tried the avocado egg rolls..... you have not lived...not really. the menu has a little of everything and if you cant find something that sounds good then it is quite possible that you are not from this world. The only draw back is the acoustics. When it is packed it is almost deafening especially if the music is on. I would avoid coming here during peak hours as you will have a long wait..... but that is only because the food is that good. avocado egg rolls people......avocado egg rolls

Large display of cheesecakes, little on the pricey side. We have only been here once in all the years of walking past it. It might be a good place to take an out of town guest or gift card but other than that there is no need for us to go back.

Well, they've finally done it. They brought in a Skinnylicious menu. Thank goodness because I usually have to bring half the stuff home and while that's not a bad thing...I probably shouldn't be eating this much of their food as it's all pretty calorie laden. I was pleasantly surprised at the smaller burger with salad for only 590 calories. Very tasty and it looked like a hand made patty (probably because it was smaller only way to get it). I was very pleased and just full enough. I skipped the cheesecake which isn't really my thing to begin with. I actually can't wait to go back and try something else off this menu. I looked on the internet, apparently it's been around for a couple of years but this if the first time I've seen it. Keep up the good work, CCF. I'll be back again.

Overkill is the name of the game at The Grand Ol' Cheesecake Factory. Overkill on the menu, overkill on the food portion sizes, overkill on the waiting and waiting and waiting, overkill on the Vegas meets suburbia decor, overkill on the amount of sugar in the cheesecake. Who runs this place, Paula Deen? The cheesecake is okay, I sound probably sound like a major ***hole complaining about cheesecake of all things but. Whoa! The amount of sugar, is truly excessive. I bake so I can confidently say, good cheesecake does not need that much sugar. It's just overkill. I love my sweets mind you, but I put a bite of that cheesecake in my mouth and literally recoil from the sugar. Even on Monday night, a 30 minute wait? Looking around I notice what others have mentioned. For many, this is the ultimate restaurant. The place they go for their birthday. The ultimate *special occasion* destination. Well, okay. I don't get it and don't dig the whole having strangers loudly sing happy birthday int the middle of the restaurant and so on and so forth.... You will wait, and wait, and wait for your meal as though it were a feast being prepared for a Pharaoh. And then the food arrives and it's good, nothing extraordinary besides the ridiculous portion size. Cheesecake factory is just not an experience that I enjoy. C'est La Vie!

This review is over a year old since visit but I have not been back since. Never again nope this place sucked. We ordered some edamame and the potstickers. We got the potstickers and then 5 mins later got the edamame. 5 mins after that we got our entrees. I ate mine but my waife was eating the edamame because it doesn't tend to reheat well. The waitress didn't even ask what was wrong when my wife asked for a box when almost the entire plate of food was still there.

I had my reservations about going here but we wanted to do something different and stay close to home rather than head downtown. Bummer that we did have to wait 50 minutes after arriving at 5p (Sat) but our kids hung in there and it paid off. After being seated, we had nothing but great service from everyone serving our table and most importantly, our kids were taken care of first. There is a very good wine selection, and I was a bit surprised with how much is offered on the menu but our dinners were fantastic, It was really, really good (at least what we had!) and we will be going back soon...

The food is not anything particularly special. It certainly isn't bad, but it doesn't blow my mind or anything. It's food. The cheesecake is pretty good. I shared the banana cream cheesecake with my friend (we got it to go), and it was delicious. It was a good sized slice, (plus extra whip cream and banana slices), for the both of us to share; however, I think that $7-$8 for a slice of cheesecake is a little pricey. Sorry cheesecake factory. I won't be going out of my way to buy cheesecake from them, but there's nothing wrong with going back to have a little treat there every few months I guess. (I'M LOOKING AT YOU KAHLUA COCOA CHEESECAKE!)

The first thing that you like about this restaurant (once your wait for seating is over) is the nice ambience for a restaurant jostled inside a mall. [the wait is bearable as you get a pager so that you can shop, don't go too far as JCPenney as it will not work that far in the mall]. The servcie is amazing, been there ~4 times and was always blown away by the service. The restaurant is almost always full, but they have enough servers to keep good check of all their customers. Coming to food, their menu is quite expansive. Some items are really good... we loved the Firecracker Salmon: yummy and spicy: an innovative dish and a must eat. We ordered the Jamaican Black pepper with Chicken and Shrimp - that turned out to be really good as well, the shrimp and chicken were cooked to the right amount (nice and juicy). Avacodo rolls appetizer: very good. The sauce (cilantro based) is very good. Chicken Madeira: Not so great. Herb Crust Salmon: Decent to good. Vanilla Cheesecake: Very good. 30th Anniversary Cheesecake: Awesome. Tiarmisu Cheesecake: Good, but not as good as other cheesecakes. Mango Keylime cheesecake: Just okay, my wife liked it however. On an earlier visit, I ordered their Chicken & Shrimp gumbo, which wasn't as spicy as expected. Had these at a LA cheesecake factory: Bang - Bang Chicken and Shrimp: Awesome dish: should try out at other locations as well. Chicken samosas: turned out to be good as well. Overall, very pleasant dining experience.

Great food, as always. Great service, as always. Great atmosphere, as always, except it was a little dark. And the cheesecake is divine, as always. A little overpriced and I wish the cheesecake slices were bigger. Overall, a yummy experience.

I love this place, but I had a late lunch here yesterday and the food was just not what I remembered it to be. Whenever I come here, the wait is usually more than 30 minutes so just grab one of those "buzzer things" and shop around the mall! There was actually no wait today because we grabbed a seat at the bar, but it did take awhile to get our order in because the bartenders were really busy. The complementary bread that we get in the beginning is an assortment usually sourdough and a darker wheat bread. The wheat bread is always good, but the sourdough was very very hard, uncut and I was definitely struggling trying to cut it up with my butter knife. I get the fried macaroni and cheese every time and I did get it again but this time it turned out to be a little bit burnt. One person got the factory nachos which was delicious and another person got the Renee's special sandwich but it was made with the same sourdough bread which was also very hard and difficult to eat. This is a great place to eat when you have no idea what to eat because their menu is huge. It is a little pricey but the portions are good, we all ordered our own plates and had leftovers (we are little asian girls).

The waitress was good, her name is Kerri. The other food was good that my family got but my friend and I ordered pasta. Our pasta was cold-which was weird cause the plates were hot and the food came out quick- and the chicken was dry. The waitress was nice enough to get us new ones with even less than what we got before. The chicken was not worth the extra $3 we paid for. We all ordered cheesecake too. They were delicious (as always) except they said they were out of meringue for the topping on the lemon meringue, but didn't want to replace it. This was a mother's outing for us, but my mother had the worst experience. She went to go to the bathroom and the stalls were all out of toilet seat covers. Because they were out of toilet seat covers you could see into the other stall! My mother came back surprised that there would not be solid panels in between each bathroom stall. When the waitress came back around she had the manager called over and when she explained the situation he just looked and said I'm sorry and walked away like it was no problem. We all had to go to the restroom while we waited for the check so four of us girls went so we could go in pairs so that we did not have anyone peeking through the hole in the panel at us. We went and all saw the hole for ourselves. There were still no toilet seat covers in either stall (this was 20 minutes after we had complained to the manager). So we once again informed the manager and a female employee that there was no toilet seat covers and that there was a hole in the wall. We insisted that the manager fix Tue problem and we would wait for him to finish before we went to the bathroom. He rolled his eyes and sighed at us, before going to fix the problem. This is a problem that needs to be fixed immediately with patching up the panel somehow. The manager was rude and didn't seem to care about any of our problems. The waitresses cheerful attitude was the only thing that went good during this experience.

This is a standard American Restaurant. The portions are huge, so definitely share. Appetizers, salads, entrees, doesn't matter - all are enough for two people! I usually only come here for the Cheesecake. It's the best. So many yummy choices and all of them are delicious. My favorite's are the Red Velvet, S'mores, and Oreo. Expect a wait if you have more than two people, though.

Their food has gone downhill significantly over the last few years. It used to be that when you went you'd get lush, soft warm bread to start the meal, followed by huge portions of decadent well seasoned food. Now, you get hard lumps of partially burnt bread, followed by bland, dry, overcooked and under-seasoned food. I emailed to follow up with the company after our most recent meal, and was informed that they did not have new staff nor had they changed the recipe for their whole wheat bread (which is the type we ate). There was no excuse for why two out of three loaves of bread we received were burnt. Nor for why all three of the loaves were super hard crusted with barely any softness to the inside (despite being freshly out of the oven). Nor for the dry, overcooked and under seasoned steak and shrimp. Nor for the absurdly stale "children's plate" they brought when we arrived (with brown sliced bananas and hard little stubs of bread that looked like turds). They offered to send us a gift card to try the place again (I suppose under the presumption that the staff simply had an off day), but it was for such a small amount it would be impossible for my family to try again without spending some of our own money. And quite frankly, there are so many wonderful restaurants out there that I wouldn't risk spending money on another terrible meal here, even if half of it was paid for by somebody else... If you need to go someplace around the mall, try Red Lobster instead (just as expensive, but the food is well seasoned and not grossly overcooked). If you're just looking for good food in general and location isn't as important, check out all the other wonderful places Yelp has to offer.

30 minutes since we ordered and no meal in sight. Have to ask for water refills. Not worth returning. Guess this place is for those with 2 hour lunches.

Not so sure if I will go back, except for maybe a cheesecake to go. The food was okay. I got the shrimp scampi with steak danie. The shrimp scampi was over cooked and under garlic ed. The steak was great. The side of horseradish was super bland. The complementary bread tastes good but they don't cut it through so you have to tear it. And smash it. But it tasted good. The chocolate mousse cheesecake was awesome. The reason for the 3 stars is the waiter took so long between visits, except while we were starting to eat he came by 5 times asking if it was good. Anoying when you have a mouthful. Anoying waiting forever to order and to get your check.

Love their food, great customer service, love their bar drinks. Prices r a bit expensive for the drinks, food is very inconsistent with other states cheesecake factories! THIS ONE IS MUCH TASTIER. The ones in cali sometimes are really bland!

We tried The Cheesecake Factor for the first time this evening. We arrived at dinner rush so I expected there to be a wait but not a 90 minute wait. Oh well not a huge deal as it is attached to the mall so we walked around while we waited for time to pass. When we were seated they brought our two year old a complimentary plate with bananas and bread on it. I wish more placed did this! Our waiter then came took our drink order, he returned right away with water and a coke but forgot my strawberry lemon-aid and then disappeared for 10 minutes still not bringing it when he came back. He did eventually bring it but it took much longer than it ever should have even with them being busy. We ordered tomato-basil pizza, shrimp scampi (served with angle hair pasta), and a side of french fries to share. The portion of the fries was huge! Three to four people could definitely split this and not feel like they got cheated out of fries. The kitchen messed up the pizza and they brought out a tomato-basil flat breas by mistake and just comped us that. This was good, the bread was thin and crisp the edges were not burnt nor were any of the toppings. It was light but better as a shared appetizer than a meal. The shrimp scampi was not 100% what I was expecting but it was good. The shrimp was large and was breaded and sautéed, no sauce on it. The pasta had a light garlic cream sauce which was very tasty but more sauce was definitely needed. Finally the pizza was brought out. I had them take it back and boxes up to take home so I cannot comment on it. Lastly we decided to order a dessert. We chose the Linda (?) cake it was very chocolaty and very rich between the two of us we did not finish half of it, but it was so good. So aside from the horribly slow un-attentive waiter we had it was a good first experience.

Great drink selection and appetizers. It's best to go for Happy Hour but we were 30 minutes too early so we got seated right away in the bar. My husband and I shared the french dip sandwich with fries and we also shared the lemon raspberry cheesecake. Everything was amazing, but there are way too many choices! It takes forever to decide what you want!

Came to celebrate my friends birthday ...arrived and was welcomed greatly ...for a group of 7 we received our table fast..... Once seated our server was not great...didn't seem to care for us or make any conversation. .The place is not even that busy.. When we told him it was my friends birthday he brought a dessert and said he was not going to embarrass us by singing and still had the decency to charge us for her dessert even though it's free on your birthday!! Didn't wanna embarrass us ...whatever!...plus when speaking to the ladies in front..The lady was just as rude ...not happy..

Cheesecake Factory is Cheesecake factory. Always packed, hostesses wear all black and servers wear all white. The best part is the Cheesecake!

First time going to Cheesecake Factory. It was on my birthday. The wait sucked because we were starving, but felt pretty fast. The food was great! The cheesecake was even better! I would recommend this place.

I know the Cheesecake Factory is usually really busy at dinner time which can mean a long wait. So, we went early (just a few minutes after 5 o'clock) and were seated immediately, getting dinner off to a good start. Service was friendly and efficient. We asked if they had a "happy hour" and our server explained that was available only at the bar, and she was willing to relocate us there if we wanted. We decided to just stay in the dining area and order from the regular menu. Well, their menu is huge with lots of things to choose from. She brought us a couple of tasty baguettes to munch on while we were deciding. One was a sweet dark bread, and the other was a crusty sourdough. Good stuff. I ordered Chicken Madeira for my entree. It consisted of two chicken breasts pounded flat and coated with egg, then sauteed. This was covered with melted mozzarella cheese and Madeira sauce with mushrooms. It also included asparagus spears and skin-on mashed potatoes. It was totally excellent, and the portions were good sized. My friend ordered Garlic Noodles. It had asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes, and grated Parmesan in the garlic sauce with the noodles. The noodles were cooked just right, with the proper firmness. She really liked it. . .and finished off every bit of it. Even though we were at the Cheesecake Factory, I'm not too fond of cheesecake, but I do love chocolate. So, for dessert, I had a slice of Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake. It has alternating layers of chocolate fudge cake and chocolate mousse. I liked that it was moist and "pliable", not dense and hard like some chocolate desserts tend to be. There were three big blobs of whipped cream to dip each bite into as well. It was BIG too. . .not some little bitty slice like at some other places. OK, I think the Cheesecake Factory has all the good qualities I look for: good food, generous portions, fair prices, friendly and efficient service, and it's a nice looking place too. It's really obvious to me why it's such a popular and busy place.

The chicken and biscuits are delicious. The portion size is large so it seems the high price tag is legitimate. The brown bread that they bring is also delicious. They also bring to you as much as you want and allow you to choose only the brown bread if you want as well. Then I had the red velvet cheesecake that tasted like an ice cream cheesecake. Very good but a little too sweet for me.

Stuffed mushrooms and Pear Martini are to DIE FOR! OMG! It was nice that yes, it was packed on a Tuesday night but we didn't wait long to get a table.. Althoe we then asked for the next avalibale booth and never herd anything.. Complimentry bread and butter.. Blue berry mojito and stuffed mushrooms... and the wait.. Lets just say I wasn't hungry by the time my dinner came.. I got the Salmon dish on a bed of cous cous w tomatoe, green peas and artichoke w/ pesto or cilantro sauce.. Very good! I can wait for a table and wait for food but for that kind of a resturant.. Higher prices etc I did not appreciate sitting aside strangers in a crouded space. Next time I will ask and wait for a booth. Pros: There food is amazing! The drinks were very tasty! Cons: The wait for food and how packed it is.. Not so fun.. Mm I guess it was a bit dark and the people beside us were purty noisy.. Also our waitress could have done a better job...

CANNED PEARS in their Pear & Endive salad??? Absolutely pathetic and disappointing. The chicken in the salad was dry and tasteless, the candied pecans were few in number, and the dressing was bitter. Yet another menu selection to avoid at the Cheesecake Factory!

We went here because we had a gift card from Christmas (we got a PetSmart card too, despite being anti-PetSmart, so go figure). It was a long day at work so we figured we would use the card and have a nice 15,000 calorie dinner (this is not an exaggeration). We get there around 5:40 on a Friday and it's packed. The place is fairly large and has twice as many tables than would be comfortable and there's still a huge line. We get the pager and learn it's an hour wait. Cue wandering around the mall... We ordered the buffalo blasts as an appetizer. I have no idea what we expected. It's basically a chicken and cheese pot sticker that you dip in buffalo sauce. On my first bite I immediately noted that the aftertaste is similar to the taste you get when you throw up in your mouth. I wish I was kidding. I got the spicy cashew chicken as an entree which was entirely underwhelming. It was much more sweet and didn't even hint at being spicy. I'm a big spice fan so I expect a lack of heat, but come on. At least make an attempt! The rice was plain brown rice, not even jasmine. Womp womp. My boyfriend got the fish tacos which mostly like tasted like the lime he out on them. I had a piece of fish (tilapia, I believe) and could only taste the lime-- pretty strange concept. Of course, tilapia is always a mild taste but a disappointing choice for tacos. We figured things couldn't get worse so we decided to shoot for the 1,000,000 calorie mark with the Reese's cheesecake. Definitely the best part of the meal, but that bar wasn't too high. We had the leftovers boxed up and realized once we got to the car that we forgot them. That was the silver lining of the whole experience. +1 star for the server being quick, +1/2 for the cheesecake, +1/2 for the guy who could set tables in roughly .4 seconds

it was a busy night, but i thought i would give it a shot anyway. i ordered the carolina bbq pork sandwich. the menu said it came on a brioche bun, it came on a sesame seed bun that reminded me of mcdonalds. needless to say, it couldn't handle the bbq sauce and was soggy and soaked through the bottom. the bbq pork part was bland. overall the sandwich reminded me of something served in a school cafeteria. i ordered my cheesecake slice to go, figuring that at least they can't screw that up. i was wrong. instead of what i ordered, a caramel pecan turtle cheesecake, i get the white chocolate macadamia. the lone macadamia nut was stale and soft. maybe its my fault for always giving this place another chance. i should know by now to not believe the hype.

I was excited to dine there since they had outdoor seating and I had never eaten there before. We asked to sit outside since I have a small dog. They sat us and after 5 min they asked us to change our seats. We did so, then a few min later they asked us to leave because I had my 3lb dog with me sitting outside!! We told them we are with a small dog before we ask to be seated! So unprofessional and rude. They didn't even ask if the dog is a service dog!

Good food. Even better cheesecake. Over the years I've had a few bad servers at a few different locations. With that said the Beaverton OR location has always been on point. Always nice, willing to suggest off the menu and they have a bomb blueberry mojito.

Hum... All-white ill-fitting uniforms, interior from Vegas, food from Applebee's = Cheesecake Factory! Seriously mediocre but priced to compete with much better establishments. We had no wait, but the service was lackadaisical and disconnected on a slow Sunday afternoon. The food was banal.

  • Chris O.

Yep it's a Cheesecake factory like all the rest. But I will say that I loved our server and I feel stupid for forgetting his name but he has a 10 month old kid so he sympathized with our special requests being we had our 9 month old with us which was awesome. Food is always good at the Cheesecake Factory and if you can just try to order something on the lighter side there maybe you'll only consume a 1k cal meal, or you can try my new diet the one CF meal a day diet where you get to eat just one meal each day at CF picking anything you like, which should get you up to a full 3k cal meal no prob so in retrospect maybe not a good diet plan but it would be delicious!

I do not just dish out five stars, but Cheesecake Factory deserves it. Wonderful service. The meal itself was amazing. They brought us some of the most tasty bread i've ever out in my mouth. So tasty, I savored every bite. Finally, for desert, the cheesecake. Oh wow. You get a large serving. It was so good I joked about having a cigarette after. The entire meal was so good. Better than sex. Yes, they get busy there, but it's a great atmosphere. The cost is well worth it.

So they are supposed to take reservations, but that goes out the door when there is a holiday?!? That makes no sense at all. I'm not very happy about this and they should put that on the site or yelp site at least.

The Cheesecake Factory is always good. Their lunch specials are reasonable and are usually a large portion. I've been to this location 5 or 6 times and it's been good every time and the waitstaff is always great. I do think $8 for a glass of house white wine at lunch time is ridiculous.

Not impressed!!! I went here while visiting. I've been to several Cheesecake Factories and I must say, I'm very upset. I usually order the same thing which is the Pasta Carbonara with Chicken and I'm always pleased. My experience at this particular restaurant was awful. My food was very under seasoned. I added tons of salt and pepper but that didn't help. My waitress was awful also. She never came to check on our table. Didn't offer to refill any drinks and then got my dessert order wrong. Overall, not impressed and wouldn't go back if I was in the area again.

I don't HATE it here. I don't LOVE it here. I just go here because it's convenient and needed relief from shopping in the mall plus everyone and their dog knows where it is and lastly, they can serve everybody something edible. The atmosphere is expansive and though I gather the CHEESECAKE is the thing to rave about, I don't want their humongous portions, so I just order off of the small plates menu and forget the cheesecake until they can make a smaller (like 1/5) size. On the plus side - they have excellent quality wait staff - speedy and professional. FYI: Almost always a wait for seating in bar or dining room.

First off the Food here is great. The servers are friendly and I love the atmosphere. But, the girls who they have working the front desk are idiots.. I can not put in words how stupid they are. First off I have been waiting to be seated for 2 and a half hours. I checked in about an hour and a half ago and they said they forgot to "activate" my pager. Ok kinda ticked now but not the end of the world because hey she said she would get me seated in 10 minutes. It has now been 2 hours and 30 minutes the line is literally to the front door so I guess it will take about another 20 to get to the main counter. What's interesting is that I see open seating... Beware great food sh*t hostess counter. Bet on the plus side I am now being seated. 2 hours and 50 minutes later!

Started out great...only had to wait about ten minutes! Bummer was, our waiter was just that. Nothing more. Took our order, brought our food. That's about it. Didnt check on us. We had to track him down if we needed anything. Dissappointing.

We haven't been here in a couple of years and truthfully it is just meh. I had the Louisiana chicken pasta and my daughter had the tomato basil pasta. It was flavorful enough. The service was adequate. We were here on a Saturday at 5 so it was packed just like any other place. It is way to noisy for my taste. The music was cranked and it just meant everyone needed to talk that much louder. But for 2 dishes of pasta and two pieces of cheese cake with tip it was 55 bucks. There are plenty of other places closer by that are worth a 55 dollar meal. I am sure we will try it again in a few years and feel the same way.

Is it okay to write a review and critique the patrons next to you rather than the establishment itself? Anyway, I popped in after some shopping anxiety. I wanted a quick ale while I waited for some jeans to be sewn at Nordstrom. This place was sooooooo packed, people lined up with their beepers on their lap--waiting for their table to buzz them. I got the last seat at the bar. I was very impressed with the bartenders efficiency, while it was so busy. I could have easily gotten ignored, bypassed, or overlooked with how busy they were. I didn't eat here today, but their menu is enormous and I know they have a good rep. I think I had happy hour once and it was solid. I think the couple next to me might have been on a first date. This woman wore a wild, but kind of cool jumpsuit with vibrant flowers all around. Very cool. The dude was typical Portland, flannel shirt, puffy vest, and my biggest pet peeve a BASEBALL CAP....on a first date, in a semi-nice place. Good Grief!!?? deal breaker. Their conversation, I couldn't help but overhear some of it....was pretty boring, but the gal was getting her drink on!!

Jennifer the server dropped my food in front of me while going to box it to go. She promised to have another re made. She came back within 3-4minutes. I said " wow, that was fast" and she said she took someone elses order out of the window... now when my food came out originally it was so hot. I noticed this food was very cool to the touch. I lifted a piece of zucchini and there it was.. my half mushroom from earlier. She had indeed boxed up my food from the floor and waited a few minutes and gave it to me. I confronted her and asked that it be taken off my bill. I told her why. She wasn't even slightly embarrassed. ??? Gross. Then she had the nerve to ask if I was sure the kitchen couldn't remame me another. Three times a charm? No Way! I will NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. YUCK! See photos for my receipt. I had to take a picture because there was not a duplicate given. Shady and Nasty.

I've hit up Cheesecake Factory restaurants all across the West Coast. I have not commented so far, because each time I went, it was great, except for this one. The Bistro Shrimp Pasta's shrimp was far from crispy--in fact, the fried outer shell was practically falling apart when it was served--and the service left something to be desired. Seattle's location was far better on a consistent basis.

I went there about a week before Christmas and took a group of 9 in my limousine there. They told us it was going to be an hour and a half wait. But when we showed up it was only 30 minutes. It was great that they got us in quick , but somebody on the phone didn't know what the heck was going on. To cut to the chase I ordered the ribeye steak , it look like it was a small New York steak I was very surprised I didn't complain it wasn't what I wanted but the surprising thing is that I paid alot for a steak and all I got was a Steak oh and some mashed potatoes and bread, I ordered an iced tea when I walked out of there my bill was $49.00

My wife and I timed it just right getting here for sunday brunch, before all the many people piled in after us and quickly filled up the place. Awesome service was provided by Deanna W. who was quick at taking our order and even with all the tables her and the other servers had to wait on, she always made sure to stop by our table and refill our drinks and made sure everything was tasting good. The portions of food are big, so make sure to bring your appetite with you. You get a basket of fresh warm bread to enjoy in the mean time while waiting for your food to be made. Even with a packed restaurant our appetizer was quick to show up. We started out with the made to order - guacamole, a big portion of guac and freshly made tortilla chips with salsa and sour cream on the side, more than enough food to share between us. Not long after, our entrees were brought out to us. We had ordered the chicken katsu - breaded chicken strips served over a bed of coconut milk rice and chilaquiales with carne and eggs - scrambled eggs in a mild spicy sauce with chunks of chicken served on tortilla chips. Both dishes were again big portions and we did enjoy sampling and savouring both dishes. Everything we had ordered today tasted great and we definitely needed boxes by the end but hey at least we have enough food left over for dinner. Unfortunately we were too full for cheesecake but that makes for a good excuse to come back here and try them next time =)

Today I went to the Cheesecake Factory for the first time. I has always heard good things about it, so I thought I'd try it out. I wasn't overly impressed. The atmosphere was awful; it was so noisy that I could barely hear my mom talk to me from across the table (this was at 1:30 in the afternoon- I can't imagine what it's like during the dinner rush). It was also very crammed. We were too close to the people next to us. The menu is too long, the food is mediocre at best, and it's extremely overpriced. They do offer a lunch menu which is a bit less pricey, but has limited options. I think the Cheesecake Factory needs to stick to cheesecake. I will not be dining here again anytime soon.

Place is a chain and is what you expect. Food is pretty good, a little over priced. Always busy, mostly because of location, the food is pretty standard chain Italian food, but decent. If you are in the mall, try it, if you are in search of good food, don't go to far out of your way!

Came here to meet my mom and cousins for lunch today. I am giving 2 stars only because the waitress was nice and I like the brown bread. I ordered a lunch sized BBQ chicken salad. It was large, but really lacked flavor. The chicken was sparse and dry. My cousin's chopped salad was disgusting and covered in too much bad tasting vinegarette. (sp). I will remember next time someone suggests this place I will give a firm NO. It is overpriced for what you get.

  • Brittanie M.

Even though this place is so very "chain", I used to love it. USED to, that is. The food is truly mediocre at best, and worth noting that each dish is seriously 234234 calories. They do have a large, extensive menu and they seem to be known for their large portions, but what good is that if it's not even that good? This location in a mall does nothing for their ambiance and last time I was here they totally screwed up my order. Pretty upsetting when my party was waiting unusually long for our meal to begin with, they gave me the wrong dish, and then made it again, which took so, so long. I finally just asked them to package it to go. To make matters worse, it was almost more irritating when the manager comes to our table to apologize, nice gesture, but I just wanted it fixed in a timely matter and not once did he offer to compensate the meal which would have been nice given this particular incident.

Update 7/2013 I had a 20 dollar gift card I carried around for a year before finally deciding to use it. We decided to get our food "to go" to avoid the crowds and wait. I ordered some appetizers, Hot Spinach and Cheese Dip, Chicken Samosas and Spicy Cashew Chicken for an Entree. The total was $38.00. They did include complimentary bread, chips for the Dip, along with Salsa, Sour Cream and Butter. I was not impressed with any of the items ordered. The Samosas are supposed to be tender and crisp, they were not at all. The Spinach and Cheese dip was bland. The Spicy Cashew Chicken was fairly bland and they did not separate the chicken and the rice, which annoys me. It was kind of a mess and certainly not worth the price. Their food is overpriced and bland, I don't get why people flock to this place to overpay for mediocre food.

Worst customer service lately. I have tried three times thinking maybe next time it will be okay but nope last time they mess up my order, over charge me, and have their incredibly rude women manager not help at all.

    (1)
  • Lucinda W.

Why do they have to mess with a good thing? My sister and i go here when I'm visiting from across country because we love the avocado egg roll appetizer. The last time were went, fall of 2014, we knew something was different, but couldn't decide if it was our memory or the food itself. The waiter confirmed they changed the recipe! So disappointing. Not the fault of the local management but of headquarters. Still i am not nearly as motivated to go here now, regardless of location.

O.M.G. Horrible! Expensive and the food wasn't to die for. The seating is RIDICULOUS. They seat you so close to people. I ended up hearing two conversations going on at the same time. This place is a joke. The cheesecake wasn't good either. Either the staff was having a very bad day or this place sucks...I just think that this place sucks. I am sooo glad I did not spend my hard earned money here, luckily I had a gift card. Never coming back.

Had a FABULOUS meal here. I haven't been since I frequented the location back home in Green Valley. We will be coming here a lot after last night's meal. We both got the filet mignon - his medium-rare, mine medium. Both were cooked perfectly. I substituted the french fries (with filet mignon, really?!) for sauteed spinach. The menu is huge, and everything sounds delicious. I was upset to find they got rid of the bruschetta. I loved it. :( But they bring you delicious sourdough baguettes with butter. Good enough. The filet mignon was amazing. Best steak I've had in years. No joke. I was surprised. Then we HAD to get cheesecake to go. I got the pineapple upside down cheesecake (for the love of food, get this!), he got the Oreo cheesecake. I'm not a fan, but it's popular. The interior reminds me of a casino in Vegas. Am I alone in thinking this?

Normally the wait deters me from ever wanting to eat here. But twist my arm and I'll show up, ready to overindulge in their huge portions. The basket of warm bread is also a nice bonus. On my last visit we showed up at 11:30 on a Saturday morning and surprisingly there was no wait. I shared a burger with my brother and it was enough to fill us up, with a little room for shared dessert with everyone else at the table. It was my first time trying the banana cream cheesecake and it was actually really good. Would definitely order that again.

Delicious mojito, friendly staff, great food, best cheesecake I've ever had! Four stars only because they would not accept a reservation when I called and once we arrived after a long trip we had to wait a long time for a table...

I don't get this place, while the cheesecake is good- to wait 40 to 50 minutes for just so so food is beyond me. It's rather expensive as well. There are better options out there. I've eaten here 3 times and can not fathom why this place is so popular

Cheesecake, YUM! Food, always good every time. This is a chain restaurant so I do expect the food taste to be consistent, which it is. The servers we get have always been very friendly and accommodating. LOVE the Avocado Rolls. My favorite is the Steak Diane & Shrimp Scampi, it never fails me.

Good food and good cheesecakes. I've been told different things by employees about if they take reservations. But on Fridays and Saturdays you want to come at least 15-20 minutes before you want to sit down because there's always a wait.

The epitome of American gluttony. There is nothing on the menu that an average person could actually consume all of. Not even all of the leftovers. That being said, the menu is expansive. Literally 40 some-odd pages of stuff. The food is fresh, nicely presented, and tastes pretty high quality...you know, real meats, cheeses, fresh baked bread, fresh veggies, and the like The staff is friendly and always quick to greet us, take our order, and keep our drinks full. They also have a huge bar with an expansive specialty drink menu. A girl-drink drunk's fantasy! I don't ever choose to come here on my own, I always get talked into it by family or friends, and I always kind of regret it. I feel awkward in their huge building (very Vegas feeling), and I hate not being able to order a 'normal' portion of anything. I always end up paying $15+ to eat, even lunch, and waste 3/4 of the food. I like to share, but rarely end up there with people who want to share because everyone always wants something different and they always seem to think they can eat all of what they order. And, often, they get closer to finishing than I do. Waits are long at dinner time. Go at lunch if you can.

Ok, I may be lactose intolerant and I may be insane by going to a cheesecake factory, but I actually enjoy their salads and LOVE the Thai lettuce wraps. I honestly think they put some kind of addicting agent into their peanut sauce, because I just can't seem to get enough of it. I could pour that stuff on anything to make it taste better. It must be the sugar. BTW.... Make sure you go online to read your menu first, otherwise it will take you a 1/2 hour to figure out what you want. Believe me, the Menu is HUGE.

I have heard rave reviews about this place so we decided to try it, and were sorely disappointed. We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday evening, and had to wait for over an hour for a table. Once we were seated, it continued to go downhill. It is so loud, it was difficult to relax or communicate without shouting. It is so dark, it is really hard to read the menu. While we were having our pre-dinner bread, we noticed that my spoon had food crusted on it, as did one of the plates. When presented to the waiter, his attitude was uncaring and he seemed annoyed by our concern. The menu, while expansive is very random and the food choices are not paired well. For example, several dishes included a starch but not a vegetable. When we asked if my salmon came with a vegetable, the waiter simply said "no" and did not even offer any suggestions. Spaghetti did not include a salad, and once again no input from the waiter other than "no". The waiter told us that the items on the "regular" menu came in gigantic portions. However, the only things that were large were the plates and cheap starches such as potatoes and noodles. The meat and veggies were very very small portions. Food was OK, but obviously prepackaged and reheated. Service was average at best, but we were forced into paying a 18% gratuity. We asked for the bill to be split between 3 credit cards, and the waiter had a lot of difficulty managing that. The cheesecake was good, but that is about it!

I visit The Cheesecake Factory several times a year and it has always been outstanding. Be prepared to wait between 30-60 minutes, but know that it's well worth it! It would be nice if they took reservations, but they don't so get in early and put your name on the list. Everything I've tried here so far has been superb, and the waitstaff is always very friendly and attentive. The Farfalle pasta with sundried tomatoes is my favorite. You will always take leftovers home as well as cheesecake. I have never actually been able to make it to my dessert at the actual restaurant, but they will package it up to go nicely with a side of their extra creamy whipped topping.

My first visit to a Cheesecake Factory was years ago in Chicago. I always remembered a good experience of reasonable good food and an overwhelming selection of delicious cheesecakes! I've been to the Portland/Tigard location several time since they opened. As some people indicated, I've also experienced the long wait to get seated. However, our wait today was only 15-minutes for two people! Although I haven't returned to a Cheesecake Factory for two years, things hasn't changed. The decor remained the same, as well as the superb service, good food, and overwhelming selection of cheesecake. Oh yea, today I ordered The Navajo (sp?) sandwich. It has a lettuce, tomato, breaded fry chicken, and avocado with seasoned mayo. This sandwich was very delicious! I highly recommend!

The architecture of the interior of The Cheesecake Factory, to me, feels distinctly like I'm in a buffet at any casino in Las Vegas. Huge, soaring ceilings with unnecessarily intricate artwork, carefully planned lighting - everything you'd expect from said casino. I definitely prefer more intimate settings, but CF gets away with it. We started with the corn fritter appetizer, and honestly I wasn't expecting much. They exceeded expectations. Sweet little fried balls of corn/batter goodness with some kinda tangy/salty dipping sauce. I had the fried shrimp platter, which includes several nicely fried jumbo shrimp, fries and some cole slaw. The shrimp were prepared exactly to my liking, they were crispy, fresh and tasty. I didn't particularly care for the fries, but I really enjoyed the cole slaw. Crisp, tangy and a nice way to clean your palate between bites of shrimp. Mrs. Brian I. had the vegetable salad, minus cheese, dressing on the side. This is a giant freaking salad, and she was entirely happy with it. The veggies were fresh and crisp. Semi-unrelated: I find CF's website hilarious. You're "greeted" by this animated server that explains various aspects of the restaurant. The way they've animated her is... acceptable, but her movements remind of the strippers in the original Duke Nukem game. Kinda jerky, strangely robotic animation. Hilarious. Back on topic: CF gets an extra star from me for 2 reasons. First, they have Mac & Jack's African Amber on tap - one of my absolute favorites and seemingly a rarity around town. Second, for our server, Jen. I'm really picky about ordering shrimp. If it's not cleaned/deveined then I have a real problem with it. When I asked her if the shrimp on the platter were cleaned and deveined I wasn't expecting her to know. However, she immediately responded "Yes, they're cleaned, deveined, breaded and fried in-house". I was thoroughly impressed. I recognize why CF has averaged 3 stars over the course of it's reviews. I think they deserve a 4th star because the place is simply "working as intended".

Work in the area and love the ginormous menu they offer. I am also loving that they have smaller portions available for those who's eyes are bigger than their stomach (which is me). I like to order a couple of things and the smaller portion menu is fantastic. If you order anything that's not 'small' be prepared to get oversize portions that is enough for two decent meals. I really like their bread with a side of their chipotle dressing. Such a delicious combo, but watch the calories..... I also like their carside to-go. When the mall is swamped with cars and I'm too lazy to keep looking for parking-- it's the way to go.

This place was freaking awesome!!!!! Edna our server was actually the best part of the night believe it or not. She was legitimately happy and wanting to make sure our night was perfect. The wheat bread they bring out is unreal. Come eat here and you will be a happy camper! Ask for Edna!!!!!!!

Cheesecake Factory is always consistent. My favorite thing about the menu is the small bites because I like to order several things and have a taste of each. And of course, you must always have a piece of cheesecake to take with you when you leave. One thing you can always expect, it will be busy and it will be noisy so if you were looking for a place to go have a business meeting or quiet conversation, this is not your venue.

I've eaten here many many times. The waits are always very long, so don't go if you are in any kind of a rush. We often put our name with the host and then walk around the mall for a half hour or so. The menu is ridiculous. It's at least 20 pages, and even has it's own advertisements. They have everything from fried chicken, to pasta, to chinese food, and everything I've eaten has been good. Not amazing, but good. I usually order the Navajo sandwich, which has chicken breast, and avocado with other veggies on a giant piece of fry bread. The portions are over the top, so plan to share or take some home......unless you're a professional eater. I would go back just to eat dessert, as the selection of cakes and cheesecakes is unbeatable. I would probably skip dinner next time. This place would be great for larger groups, as the menu guarantees something for every taste. Just make sure to make a reservation first, and don't plan on drinking, unless you want a very large bar tab.

This is one of those places that could easily be a 4 or even a 5 star review but just didn't quite make it there because of the overall atmosphere set by the staff. First, if you are going to have your staff dress in white, make sure it is a crisp clean white. The crew as a whole, other than the hostess was kind of dingy and frumpy. Never once, other than tableside, did I see the staff smiling. The two female bartenders looked like they were moments away from shooting themselves in the face. Rarely have I encountered such a dour group of people in one spot. No one looked happy to be there, even though it is a beautiful restaurant and one would imagine, a nice place to work. What should have been a fun experience, was just kind of depressing. If you are in upper management of Cheesecake Factory and you are reading this, take a look at the faces of the people working here. They are not happy. On to the better part of my experience, beer and food. I had the Salad Rolls and the Artichoke hearts and a nice cold IPA by Ninkasi. Salad rolls weren't the most beautifully crafted, but they tasted fresh and the accompanying peanut sauce was good as well. The Artichoke hearts were my favorite part of my visit. I didn't care for the baslamic dipping glaze, but the aioli was a nice addition.

Service was awesome but the 3 stars is due to the quality of food. I had the fish tacos - it came with 4 tacos that I asked to get half tempura fried and the others grilled. I enjoyed the grilled better than the tempura, it was too oily and left a oily coating in my mouth. Not the best fish tacos I've had...could have been better.

I normally avoid eateries with 20 page menu's and cameos in Kanye West songs, but I make an exception for Cheesecake factory. There are things about this place that I dislike, like the long wait times and the tragically dumpy white pants they make the wait staff wear (no matter how good looking you are, those outfits suck). Overall, I'm not a big cheesecake fan either, which i realize is ironic. The thing that keeps bringing me back here is the food. They make hands down the best lettuce wraps ever, and they have a never ending list of sauce options. I can also tell you with confidence that the tuna tartar and avocado rolls are winners. For a chain, they do an excellent job of keeping a consistently good menu. I've never had to send anything back or wished I had ordered something else. The prices are a bit high but you get about 3 meals worth of food on your plate. It's a great place for a date or a family gathering.

Went in for happy hour. I'm drooling just thinking about it. roadside sliders, crab dip, tamale cakes...i could go on. They have a little of everything. Service was good, the wait wasnt too bad either. Plus the bartender was obviously a people person which always makes for a great experience. I would definitely go back.

We went there after a piano recital just for dessert. The food was fantastic, but the place was kinda loud and too busy for what we really needed at the time. We chose 2 types of cheesecake to share - one with raspberry, one with chocolate. Very decadent!

When you have so many things on your menu, none of them will be very memorable. Except the cheesecake--their specialty. The food portions are ridiculously large but not the greatest as far as taste goes. After trying a lot (though no where near their entire menu), my staple go-to's are the chicken sandwich, Romano's crusted chicken with pasta, chicken madiera, and any of the pizzettes. They taste good, the price doesn't mean quality though, it means quantity! I know everyone goes for the cheesecake but seriously try the truffle layer cake--delicious! A good choice if you have a lot of people and you don't know who doesn't eat what/you have picky eaters.

For a chain, they do a pretty darn good job with the food. Especially when you consider the GIGANTIC menu -- seems like it would be the death of most places, having so many different and diverse foods, but CF handles it pretty well. Portions are HUGE. You don't eat off of dinner plates -- you eat off of serving platters. Good luck having any room left at the end for actual cheesecake. There is almost always a wait. A long wait. Once you're in though, the service is good. In particular, our last server Angel did a stellar job. Had the patience of a saint! Hopefully her manager reads this. ;) The goods: Chicken Madeira Vietnamese Tacos Hibachi Steak Sweet Corn Tamale Cakes (I think that's what they're called) The looked good when I saw other people order them: Shepard's Pie Chicken & Dumplings Salads Pass on: The mixed drinks. I've had a couple and they are not that good and definitely overpriced.

Although this location adjoins to the mall, you'll forget all about that as you step inside. The interior of the restaurant made me feel like I was back in Vegas. I really enjoyed the "buffalo blasts" for my appetizer. Chicken and cheese stuffed inside some delicious breading and deep-fried, with spicy buffalo sauce and/or blue cheese dressing to dip them in. The sauce was flavorful and not overwhelming, although I can always handle (and enjoy) the heat. Delicious. For the entree, I was served crusted chicken romano, with pasta underneath in a light red sauce. Very filling and no hint of being microwaved. Then....the cheesecake. Oh, the cheesecake. A slice of Hershey's Chocolate Bar Cheesecake was the perfect ending to the meal. The only downer was my seat. Usually when I go to a restaurant, a booth is my preferred place to sit. We were instead put at a table, one side with a chair, the other with the cushioned booth. You know what I'm talking about. I took the chair. Oops. Mistake of the day. I like space when I'm eating, and I did not get space. Crammed in tight with nowhere to move. It didn't distract me much from the meal though. This was my first time at The Cheesecake Factory, and it won't be my last. Great food!

Well, the food was good but nothing extraordinary. Overall a pretty good meal but I have a few major gripes. First off, the menu. How large does it need to be? And many different cuisines? What type of restaurant is this? Italian? Burger joint? Chinese? Seafood? Pizzeria? Pick a specialty and go with it. I'd can only imagine how they kitchen staff can prep for a service. With the menu so scattered, a feel like the quality goes down. Second gripe: lighting. I feel like I had to strain to see the person in front of me. It was also kind of jarring to transition between the mall lighting and the restaurant lighting. Last gripe: the wait. Nearly an hour. It seemed a little excessive since the service and food were quick (one of the big pluses): the wait was probably due to people having too many choices on the menu. Overall, not bad if you have time to wait and like lots of choices as well as moderately good food.

This place is awesome. I have been to many cheesecake factories but let me tell you this one is big it's spacious it's brand-new it's beautiful inside everything is tiptop clean the bar is awesome the service is fast and friendly the food is amazing. You are not going to walk away from this place disappointed, I promise. Aside from the fact that every time I eat here I think that I'm looking around to find Penny, I will tell you that whenever am in Tuallitan I make it a point to go out of my way to come here for dinner. I will warn you though that is very busy and you can expect a 30 to 45 minute wait to be seated.

The decor is incredible, the cheesecakes look incredible, the huge lines almost convince you that this place is incredible, but I dare say it's too much hype and not enough there to back it up. Sure the cheesecakes are decent, some are even great, but overall I find the cheesecakes from my local bakery to be much better. Many of the cheesecakes at the Factory are waaaaay toooo sweet!! Total sweetness overload! The food is...meh. I mean, it's not horrible by any means, and it is better than a million other joints, but the prices are steep, portions WAAAAAY toooo big, and the food is nothing to rave about. I would rather pay a smaller fee and get a much smaller portion and would likely dine here more if there was more selection in the smaller portion sizes. Put all that together and factor in the long wait to get a table on most days and times, and then factor in that you have a server who is mega busy waiting on table and likely to be less attentive than servers at less crowded establishments and it just doesn't make much sense to me why this place is so popular. One kudo I have to give the local Factory though is good management. Managers do show their faces and address problems. That is a big deal in my book! This is a location we will dine at once ever year or so....no more. I just don't get the hype personally.

I ordered the four cheese pasta and the fresh vegetable salad. I love almost all salads but this was DISGUSTING. The tomato was wilted and the dressing was incredibly nasty. I ended up taking it home, washing off the nasty dressing and dousing it in other dressing just to make it edible. My boyfriend ordered the Huevos Rancheros and was looking forward to the quesadilla it came with. He ended up receiving tostadas instead. Tostadas are fried in oil and make him sick, while quesadillas are grilled. The waitress was nice about it but did not understand him and the cook the waitress brought out to talk to him did not understand the difference and argued with him and ended up remaking his meal the same way but with completely uncooked tortillas and called it a quesadilla. Since he comes from a hispanic culture, he felt insulted that they gave him the wrong thing and then replaced it with still the wrong thing.

Always a pleasure to come into this business. If you don't mind the chatter, the sound of rustling feet and dishes being places around you. None of these bother me, and I'll tell you why. Our food is ALWAYS delicious, hot, well prepared and given with a smile. Our waitress Justine, I believe, was by far the kindest. We watched her bust her rear to get everyone food, drinks and refills. I don't mind the little wait we had because of such a pleasant informative waitress. You will be seeing me here again.

My favorite sandwich was the Navajo, but is no longer on the menu. So I was forced to order a Cuban instead. Was not disappointed. Haven't eaten a Cuban since we left Florida for Oregon. Perfect balance of pickle, mustard, cheese, and meats toasted to perfection. Great service. Friendly and pstient staff. Lovely ambiance. Overall great return to this family favorite.

I actually doubt I will go here often, and I don't think I'm quite their target audience, but I was still very impressed. The selection is *huge*, if a little spendy, and in spite of a lot of their stuff being something I can't eat right now (I will be so glad when I can have dairy again, even with pills!), I was able to find plenty of good options. Because of the selection - if I had it to do again I'd review the menu online before going. Oops! I didn't like having to have the stroller away from our table and just set the carry-basket on the bench, but they were polite and helpful about it and I must agree that the available space they have would *not* work with the stroller parked at the table, not in the least. (I prefer not to set the basket on any raised surface, but it really was well-settled on the bench with the table helping keep it in place. And obviously the floor was a worse option.) The decor is beautiful, and I was astonished we didn't have to wait to be seated, considering we walked in during the brunch rush the Sunday before Christmas. The food was tasty; even my (finicky) toddler liked his meal. The portions are utterly huge - I saw people with "appetizer" salads that would be a whole meal for me. I ordered from the light menu and was stuffed even so - I'd have taken half a regular meal home, maybe more. The staff were incredible. Very helpful, very on top of things, very friendly and polite - just excellent service. We were actually seated while the "regular" server for our area was on his lunch break, and when he came back on, he immediately circulated all his tables making sure a) we had what we needed and b) we knew what he looked like to flag him down if we needed him. (Basic courtesy, but basic courtesy that is not always seen!) Also, the waitress who helped us while he was on break made sure we knew which page the Sunday brunch was on. My husband was sad to be so full he couldn't even face the dessert menu. (I would be, but their specialty is so far off my diet right now, I would be sad just looking at it.) Gorgeous decor, convenient location, good staff. High prices but lots of food for the high prices - it largely balances out. :)

There's always an incredibly long wait at this place, but that's because it's always consistently good. My guilty pleasure is the fried macaroni balls, I can't resist them when I come here. I love the avocado eggrolls and miso salmon as well. Yum!

This place is popular for good reason. The presentation is great, the service is always spot on and the desserts are excellent. The only downside is that it sacrifices quality for quantity. However, the food is consistently good. So, it's great to go and split an entree and dessert with another person. It seems pointless to order two entrees because leftovers from any restaurant hasn't been my bag. We went for happy hour and had $5 appetizers, which were nice. I loved the crab wontons, but I've had better salad rolls. Anyway, I'll go back, we had a fun time and I enjoyed the time with my girlfriend.

This was our 2nd trip to this Cheesecake Factory location. Our first time there was shortly after they had opened and it was a poor experience. We attributed that to the fact they were still working out the kinks of a new place. We finally came back to give it a 2nd chance after receiving a gift card. It was on the 4th of July and it was surprisingly not busy. There was no wait and since it was really nice outside we sat on the patio. This location is nicely decorated and well kept. The waitress who took our order was very nice and friendly. She brought us our drinks and bread very fast. We had a calamari appetizer and it was really great. The dipping sauce was super. My sons both ordered burgers. My husband had the Factory Burrito Grande and I had the Hibachi Steak. The burrito and the steak arrived promptly but the burgers did not. We waited about 5 minutes for them to appear after the adults had already been served. I absolutely hate when restaurants do that. Bring everyone's main dish at the same time please, or at least say here's part of your table I'm sorry the rest will be out real soon. Don't just leave us hanging. Anyhow the burrito was cold and so was my steak. I'm guessing they had already been sitting back there for awhile. I cut into a piece of steak and it was completely raw I had ordered a medium rare. I usually cook my steaks at home pretty rare but this was still ice cold in the center with just a sear on the outside. Not good. I hate sending things back but I just couldn't eat it raw. The waiter who took over for our waitress was not too happy with me. I guess he thought I was picky? So after a few minutes it comes back and I swear they didn't do a darn thing to it. I ended up just having it boxed up. Never going back. If we get a gift card again we'll be using it on cheesecake only. By the way if you go in for a whole cheesecake they will say it's been deeply chilled and will be ready to eat in 2 hours, that really means completely frozen. At least that was delicious.

I came in for lunch with my two children to the Beaverton location. Sarah B. was our server. From the start, she was not nice and had kind of "attitude" about her. Didn't say hi or introduce herself, just took our drink orders and left. Came back with our drink and took our order for lunch. I ordered a dish that is not cooked, my son order a hamburger and my daughter had fries only. She brought bread and then left again. After about 15 minutes I asked her where our food was. She said she would check. Never came back to say anything to me. Then 15 minutes later I started to get really mad. She would walk by us but never made eye contact with me. I finally caught her eye and then I think she knew at this point I was mad. Another girl brought out our food and I told her this is ridiculous waiting over 30 minutes for a burger and salad rolls. She said she didn't know anything about it and left. Then we ate and the manager came over and I told her what happened. The thing that got me mad is that Sarah B. never came over to ask us if everything was ok, nothing about why the food was so late, avoided me actually. My son ordered dessert but I told her I wasn't going to wait another 30 minutes. We paid and left. This whole thing ruined my day.

You should kinda know what to expect since this is a big ol' chain. It's "pretty," it's overpriced, the food is fine but nothing I'd go out of my way for, and they have really delicious cheesecake. My daughter likes this place so I find myself overpaying at this establishment from time to time. The staff can vary not just by day, but by who happens to be delivering something to your table. I've had really great service and I've had incredibly bad service. It is what it is and I go here knowing what to expect, the bar isn't set high. What I learned in my last visit is that they tend to always try to seat you in the lounge area unless you state a preference. This is a bad idea for you as a diner. The lounge is busy, it's loud, the tables are tiny, you're so close to your neighbor you might as well just share food, and almost every time I've had a bad service experience it's been in the lounge. So heed my advice, just sit in the dining room where you don't feel like a sardine in the middle of the stock exchange (seriously, where do all these food runners come from?? Where do they store them in the back?). I'm bumping them from 2-stars to 3 only because the cheesecake is so good and they have so many kinds. So basically they're 2.5-stars.

  • Jennifer S.

FOOD: Good. It's the kind of food you'd expect from a chain restaurant but better. I do believe that they're menu is far overwhelming, but I kind of believe that what makes this place so great when you have a group that can't decide what they want. We ordered an appetizer, a kid's meal, and my fiancé and I split an entree. We started with the crab bites, which was a small plate, and it really is just a little food. They come out with six, little balls and dipping sauce. It seems more like a personal appetizer, but it was good nonetheless. The kid's meal was grilled chicken and vegetables, and it was pretty good and looked pretty good for a kid's meal. My fiancé and I split the adult version of chicken strips, and it came with mashed potatoes and corn succotash, which was all good, too. I would've given this place four stars, but I had to take off one for: SERVICE: Meh. Our server had absolutely no personality whatsoever. The service was blah. The bare minimum a server would have to do to get a tip. No smile. Monotone. Least amount of words a server could say.

They weren't very busy on this day, and for a party of two, the wait at 6pm was very short, only a few minutes. But once seated we seemed to be forgotten. There were two of us, and also parties of two on either side of us. Even though we were seated and ordered first, they both received each course long before we did. We had the same server as one side and a different server than the other side. I'm not sure what would have caused the delay, it was just strange sitting there so long after two sets of customers came and went while we were still waiting for our food. The food was very good though, as always. Service was friendly too. I'd forgotten that they box up the leftovers for you, they don't just bring you the box. The box and bag both leaked horribly though, even though I was VERY careful to keep it perfectly level. So the leftovers had to go straight to the trash. Had I boxed them up myself, I'd have left out the sauces, especially the one I clearly hadn't touched (why would I want to take that one home if I didn't care to eat any of it there?) Still, it's a nice once-in-a-while treat. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I'll forget all about this experience before I go again next year.

Nothing impressive at this location.. It was a super slow lunch hour and our waitress was super slow. Service was super slow. I saw so many customers who just looked completely annoyed because the waitress never showed up until about 5 minutes after they sat down, unacceptable, especially on a slow day. My boyfriend had the french dip sandwich and his bread was super burnt and crispy, very hard to eat. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich and my bread was drenched in grease. I didn't realize they were going to grill my sandwich bread in butter. I will say the actual chicken salad part was good, but the bread just brought it down. I don't think I'll be going back.

I hardly think I need to actually review the food here... I am a Cheesecake Factory snob... suffice it to say I drove 2 hours to be able to eat here for my birthday because there isn't one in Eugene... I used to live in San Diego and visited one at least once a week. Here are some food suggestions -- Lemon Chicken Costoletta (sp?), Chicken Madeira, Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp, Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps (yes its an appetizer and yes its big enough for an entree), Buffalo Chicken Blasts, Cajun Chicken Littles, Steak Diane, BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, Boston Salad -- the list actually goes on and on -- but these are some of my favorites! So this visit was a bit disappointing ONLY due to the fact that we waited 2 HOURS to get a table. After driving 2 hours though I wasn't going to leave (which I believe the hostess secretly wanted actually). It was just too insanely busy though and it was rather disappointing to know that they were severely unorganized at the hostess stand. Some people waiting near us had been told that they were out of pagers and to return in an hour to see where they were in line. They came back in an hour and were told their name had already been called -- then after some insistence were told it would be only another 10 minutes and 30 minutes later they were called -- NOT OKAY - Once seated, however, service was outstanding! I love the food and drinks here. I even took an extra entree home for lunch for the next couple of days. Just be prepared for quite a wait... LOVE this place -- definitely get the bread basket -- you can get it at lunch if you want just ask... dinner they should serve it automatically. Also try the ranch they make it and it is FANTASTIC! Cheesecake -- well I am not a sweet lover -- but you can't go wrong with their cheesecake -- really any of them -- I am on a mango key lime kick -- but others have served me well over the years.

I come here not because I'm in a hurry. I come here to relax get excellent service for the most part and get decent food. For me I love the small plates menu. It has an excellent choice of items that are low calorie for restaurants. Personally I love the lettuce wrap tacos Asian style. It's a lot of food for cheap. On the even lighter side the Greek salad and beet and goat cheese salads are pretty tasty. Tonight I had Daniel N. For a server and he had a huge table to take care of and I never felt like I had to wait so he deserves recognition for pulling that off.

Typical CF. this location is large and loud, fitting for the mall location. Staff is friendly, service is good. Something for everyone, on the menu.

This place is not just cheesecake although that is awesome as well. We have to drive a ways to get here since they don't have one in Portland but it is well worth the drive. The inside is huge and has dim lighting which is perfect for a date or really any occasion. The food is top notch and the nachos were probably the best I've had. The chicken was like actual breast and the cheese was real. My girlfriend always gets the orange chicken. I had a bite and it was great. The price can be spendy but that is to be expected with such great food. Overall I thoroughly recommend!

Love this place. The menu is well rounded with an option for everyone! I love the interior decor, definitely not a Pacific Northwest feel however. As with all corporate restaurants you have the comfort of knowing what you're going to get when you order. Heard they have a great happy hour, looking forward to trying that soon! Oh, and I'm the only one who's meal portions are so big and filling that I don't have room for cheesecake?

This location opened quite a few years ago and I've only been there three times. I'll tell you why...and I was reminded AGAIN, why tonight....THE WAIT. Are you kidding me? I waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a table that they told me would take 40 minutes. I had two little kids with me and by the time we got a table we were cranky and starving. While waiting, I could see several tables open. So I ask, if you are ALWAYS crowded then get more staff to wait on tables rather than leaving tables open for us to stare at while we are waiting. To top it off, the food is not worth the price. I swear, I am NEVER going to this restaurant again (for real this time). PS: An apology (sorry for the wait!) would help...but you never hear that from any of the wait staff.

This would have been a 5 star if it weren't for the rude manager. The food was top notch our waiter was a gem. Went there with my family. My husband is disabled and in a wheelchair. She kept glaring at our table. I ask the waiter who she was and why is she staring. We felt very uncomfortable. He told us that we weren't the first people to complain. She walked behind my husband while he was adjusting his wheelchair and under her breath she said "watch it". We left and while in the car I called the corporate office. I truly believe she did not take well to people with disabilities. Our complaint was addressed and took seriously. She then wrote an apology note via snail mail. We are fans and frequent the Honolulu and San Francisco locations.

Make time to review the menu because it is gigantic! A really fun place to have dinner. The portion sizes are large enough to share and there is something on the menu for everyone!

We normally love Cheesecake factory. I am sure our recent experience was an anomaly, but worth writing about. We called on Friday and asked about pre-ordering two cheesecakes for pickup late afternoon Saturday. They assured us this would not be a problem, took our name and number ans said they would be ready. We showed up as planned the next day and went to the front counter and told them we were there to pick up our order. They scrambled around for about 15 minutes before finally telling us they were out of the key lime cheesecake size we ordered. How can a cheesecake factory be out of cheese cake, especially when it is ordered ahead. They offered to give us half a full sized cheese cake for the same price (it was supposedly more cake than the smaller one we ordered). Fortunately, it wasn't for a special event (it was for father's day, but my dad loved it in ANY form). I was just disappointed the way they handled the situation (the staff were nice enough). Not sure how to avoid this problem in the future. For as much as it costs to go to Cheesecake Factory to eat, or even get cheesecake, you would think it would be more organized in how it is run.

We had visited another Cheesecake Factory location a few years ago really just because of the hype. It had just opened in our former city and everyone was still in love. We left unimpressed and not in any sort of hurry to visit another location again. Fast forward a few years and now my husband won a gift card from work. We'd had it for a while and found ourselves with some unexpected free time, no dinner plans, and near this place. So, pretty much the perfect storm for dining here. Oddly enough the wait wasn't that long. We were quoted 15 minutes, but didn't wait that long. Our server was lovely and nice. I just can not get over those menus, you know. I'm a fan of a one page menu and these give me some sort of anxiety. I even dissect the organization of sections. The novel-like menu turns me off like you wouldn't even believe. I seriously lose my appetite. The food was "eh". It was really good, it wasn't the worst. It just tasted like any other chain that doesn't really stand out. I couldn't even remember what I had until I really thought about it. I had some sort of burger, my daughter had some type of pasta and I can't remember what my son and husband had. The kids had to have one of the cheesecake slices after the meal. I only had a little taste but found it to be too sweet. Cheesecake Factory never leaves me feeling like I can't wait to come back. With so many other dining options available, I suppose the only way I'd go back is with another gift card.

My husband and I used a gift card on a Monday afternoon. We got there about 1:30 knowing how slow the service can be. Well no change later in the afternoon. And our food was atrocious. My sandwich was fried within an inch of it's life and my husband's burger was way overcooked and drenched in onions, despite the fact he had asked NO onions. We mentioned this to the waitress who said "Oh yeah, I hate onions, too". I sent a letter to Cheesecake Factory website and got a note to "call the manager of the store". I did. She repeatedly asked why I had not called over a manager RIGHT THEN AND THERE. Look, we were leaving on a flight in 3 hours. The food took forever to come. It was horrible. We didn't want a manager coming over and loudly apologizing and making a scene. I was promised a replacement gift card, which of course, never came. We won't return.

Around the time this location first opened almost 10 years ago, I had my first date with my now wife. This restaurant has always had a special place in our hearts. As time has passed, the euphoria of that experience has worn off, and we are able to see the cheesecake factory for what it is; a fairly good chain restaurant with a menu clearly designed to satisfy the masses. The food, atmosphere, and service are good but not great. Nothing about the experience is exemplary or unique, but sometimes a good lunch that is certain to not disappoint is exactly what we want. The wait times vary from 15 minutes to an hour, and the food can be pricey. The restaurant is very popular so they obviously do enough right to make anyone happy. If you are looking for a solid, can't miss option, the cheesecake factory is great, but be prepared to spend some money.

Ordered the Bacon Bacon Burger with a few changes to make it epic! Ditched the two cheese options that came with it and instead asked for bleu cheese crumbles! Without a doubt, the best Bacon Bleu cheese burger and sweet potato fries I've ever had! The topper to this epic meal was my raspberry lemonade. It was just the right amount of tart and sweet with sugar around the rim! First time eating here and it's clear that I'll be back!

Surprisingly nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. I say "surprisingly" nice because normally, it's... well, marginal at best. I say normally but that really means that this was my 6th trip ever- I manage to get invited to an outing there about once a year. Good service, remarkably quiet, tasty if unimaginative food (I had a club sandwich and fries, both of which were done well, seasoned and prepared to my specifications). We ordered a series of decadent and delicious cheesecakes to share, all chocolatey and all were consumed to the very last crumb. All of that said, it's a place that's fun to go for a group event when you want a wide selection of desserts to end the meal with and you don't mind waiting for a table. If you're with friends and have an open schedule, it's a great place. If you're in a hurry- good luck.

It was my birthday and I was determined to have a wonderfully tasting cocktail and a delicious entree from my favorite restaurant. I got there at 7pm and the wait was an hour, after the hour they said another one would be needed. I was getting impatient and finally 2 hours passed. I was talked to by a manager and gave me my birthday dinner for free, with a slice of cheesecake! The waiter we had was on the ball and very happy and made me smile a lot! Overall I had want I wanted and I appreciate the effort of the staff! I can understand how big parties can be frustrating on a Saturday night! :)

I love the buffalo blasts, the pasta carbonara, and the tuxedo cheesecake. Therefore that is all I ever order because I'm not that adventurous to try the seemingly hundreds of menu options they have. I stick to what I know is going to be good when it's a more expensive menu. Meanwhile my more adventurous fiancé was let down by his enchiladas and Kahlua cheesecake.

despite the 45 minute wait to be seated, food was same ol' good Cheesecake Factory food. got their quesadilla app (VERY good). then a California salad (VERY bad), which tasted like pesticide and didn't have enough dressing, so had to ask for more (still wasted most of it). main food, hubby got their meatloaf...HUGE platter of food and he liked it very much. i got their veggie burger for the first time, and it was 7/10. kinda weird flavor, but i ate most of it. and finally, we FINALLY ordered a cheesecake. it was SOOOO rich but good. this location we've walked by before, and it always seemed packed. but if you only have to wait less than an hour, it's worth it...especially since you can roam the mall until your pager beeps.

Always had pretty good service here even though the wait time could be a little longer in the weekends. Service is pretty fast and attentive. They get the warm bread to your table in a few minutes and i am a fan of their brown bread. The menu is huge and you have to spend quite sometime to figure out what you are going to have. I have tried a couple of dishes over the past few visits and liked most of them. Some dishes i liked here: Chicken Samosas, Chicken lettuce wrap tacos, Texmex egg rolls, Pizzas are all great. Chicken sandwiches were good and also the breakfast omlettes are very nice. Overall a very good place with good service and ambience thats not too expensive and has wide menu options. Not to forget the cheesecake here.

Some notes from our two visits to this Cheesecake Factory located at the Washington Square Mall in Tigard, Oregon. Both times, we ordered at the counter to get cheesecake slices to go. 1. Very dark inside. 3 stars for atmosphere. 2. Snickers cheesecake was disappointing. Thought there would be some snickers candy mixed into the cheesecake, but there was not. There were just some nuts on top and some pieces of snickers bar on top of the cheesecake. 2 stars 3. Caramel pecan turtle was delicious 4.5 stars 4. Dutch Apple Streusel Cheesecake is delicious 4.5 stars 5. White Chocolate Caramel Macadamia Cheesecake is yummy 5 stars 6. Service at the counter was great the first night. Not so great the second night. 3 stars for service. 7. $7.50 for most slices including the four we tried. Most of the cheesecakes were so good. All of them are overpriced! This Cheesecake Factory restaurant was not one of the better locations we have experienced for this chain. 3 stars overall.

I eat here occasionally. Aside from the food, menu, service, the problem here is the noise level. IT IS SOOOO DAMNED LOUD. They crank up the music all day and people need to yell at each other to be heard. Our first few visits had issues, and the think because it was new and well located in the Mall, the wait was 45 minutes for two, at 8 pm, and employees were tired and cranky. This last visit better, but the chicken came out not done and very tough. We asked them to cook it, done. They did. Id like to visit more often but the noise is unbearable. Imagine yelling like that home. It's like I've been to a rick concert.

I guess you just have to check your expectations at the door and they will be more or less met. The mall gives me the scabies. This is my problem. I was needled into being there because my iPhone needed service which means I am loping around the mall waiting for the one genius at the genius bar to free up his time (that's another story). A man craves a beer in a mall. In Tigard. Panic? Shame spiral? AA? In a fit of all three I found myself in the CF right as happy hour ended, so the bar was packed with check payers. Not a seat in the house. After a few minutes the whole place cleared out and I grabbed a seat while the bussers and servers and barman tidied up the remaining service gear. I even got a, "thank you for your patience, sir," from the busser as he ragged off the bar surface. I received a prompt, cold delicious beer selected from the bar menu that has no prices on it, which is but a minor annoyance. Ahh, sweet relief. Check the old iPhone and...oh yeah. Then the smell of old bar rag and vinegar starts to waft around and I know that rag has been in use since the Nixon administration. This happens. I get it, but things are going down. The restaurant is filling up and the bar has a few customers now, but our barman seems to have it under control. Then: abject horror. I hear the bar tape clack clack clack for what seems like a minute. The bartender fills up three blenders with about ten scoops of ice cream and all sorts of other nonsense. Martini glasses are being rimmed with blue sugar. The remaining bar seats are filling up. my beer is getting empty. Why is this guy alone behind this bar working as service bartender to the entire restaurant as well as hosting the 15 people in front of him? Ice cream? The man should be in tears. It takes me 20 minutes to get my check and go because my man is so in the weeds I can feel and smell his anxiety. People at the bar are screaming out their orders like they are yelling across bleachers for hotdogs and beer at a ballgame. The barman just slouches a bit and exhales, head lowered as if maybe we will all go away and he will wake up somewhere else. Somewhere without blended drinks and people carrying bags from Hot Topic and the lego store, smelling of fruity soaps and wild, designer impostor perfume. Somewhere without vibrating hostess call beepers. Somewhere else. I feel your pain, barman. Get out.

HaHa! Cheesecake factory, with the portion sizes big enough for a week's worth of meals. HUGE-est menu, ever. Yum-OH cherry cheesecake. pffftttttt.......wait time. forget it. .....but i really want that cheesecake! ;) ;) ;) an experience to experience.

MENU SIZE! Do you think Cheesecake Factory corporate is compensating for something? Too many items? Probably, but most of the appetizers and drinks are really good. I've been here many times and have not had a bad entree yet. I'm a salmon lover and their salmon dishes are very good. My youngest daughter and I stopped in a couple of weeks ago. We had pasta dishes we enjoyed. It wasn't Italy, what do you want from Tigard. Service is as expected. Atmosphere, big and loud.

First of all, the Cheesecake Factory is considered to be the "Worst Restaurant in America" in terms of nutrition- eatthis.menshealth.com/r… . But don't let that stop you from indulging in this heavenly place. The ambiance is nice, the service is nice, the seating options are nice (inside or outside- outside tables even have heaters!), and the wait is very moderate. Only like 15 minutes and with the mall being right there, it was not a problem. I've had never really "dined" here in the sense that all I ever sat down and ate prior to Tuesday was the Cheesecake. But on Tuesday, with Cheesecakes being half off and I having over $70 in gift cards, decided to sit down and experience the entire dinner. And it was great. The menu is huuuuge. For the appetizer, I went with the fried avocado rolls, apparently one of their specialties, and it was awesome. Very expensive, but truly something I'd never eaten before. Tasted like a Chinese spring roll biting in but then immediately changed flavor to a more American taste. For dinner, they have so many options that it's hard to decide what to get. I was going to order from the Skinnylicious menu before I realized it's really the exact same thing as the normal menu except served in smaller portions, and hence cheaper. So I ordered the normal veggie burger from the "unhealthy menu", probably having at least 800 calories, and it was delicious. I also had some of the cheese pizza, which was excellent. The desserts... Before I even came, I knew was going to go with the cheesecake, but couldn't decide which one. They are all extremely unhealthy, with some cakes having up to 1300-1500 calories in just one slice. I didn't let that bother me and ultimately, I ordered the Godiva Cheesecake and split it. It was a good thing I split it, because that thing was huge! No one should be able to eat the entire thing after dinner and I'm not surprised it has that many calories. For a four person family, you really only need two slices. I also had some of the Tiramisu cheesecake, which was good, but nothing in comparison to the layered Godvida cake which was bursting with flavor. I don't even remember what the layers were, but I remember it having a bottom brownie crust, a second layer consisting of cheesecake, actual Godiva chocolate in there somewhere, and topped with a bunch of whipped cream. So yeah, excellent place. And bill only came out to be $44 with tip for four people. Pretty cheap considering we had no coupons. Oh yeah, checked my weight the next day- not a single pound gained (hehe).

We just moved into the area about 25 miles south of here. Due to us looking for housing we have been in a hotel of course eating out. This has been the BEST experience we have had since we've been here in 2 months. The waitress Angelita was fantastic! We asked for the mgr & let him know because it is so rare to have a waitress that is so pleasant. We will be going back here & asking for her. Hopefully she will be there!

long wait time.....as always here! We waited about 40 minutes to get a table for 2. Once seated our server, Jasmine, came up and took our order for drinks and apps. I ordered a Martini and the wife a raspberry martini. We asked for reccomenditions on apps and our server was VERY helpful and offered MANY suggestions. We ended up getting the chicken Samosas. Our appetizers ended up arriving before our drinks from the bar. The appetizers were DELICIOUS! After our appetizers and bread arrived our server came back with our drinks from the bar and asked if we were ready to order..... We were. I ordered a chicken mazarella dish (sorry can not remember the name but it was the first one on the menu under the chicken section). My wife had a cobb salad. After a short wait our food came and it was outstanding as well! Good flavor and textures, not much to complain about here! I would have to say the only thing I would have to complain about is the prices were slightly higher than I would have thought. I know the prices are posted on the menu and the portions are generous. However, when my bill came and our martini's were $10.50 each that raised my eyebrows! All in all a good experience and great food.

Five stars for the cheesecake, 1 star for the food, 4.5 stars for service. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Our sodas were never empty. He was prompt to offer extra bread and to bring our check. We ordered a Pulled Pork Sandwich and a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich. Both were...weird. I could only eat the fries that came with the Pulled Pork sandwich (pretty good fries) because I couldn't choke down the sandwich. The pork tasted like turkey and had an odd texture. My fiance liked it, so he ate it for lunch the next day. I tried a bite of his Chicken Parmesan. Yuck, the bread was soggy and there was some weird flavor combinations in there. Next time, I'll definitely order the pasta (which is good) with my Red Velvet Cheesecake. I wish they had sampler platters for the cheesecake.

The food is good but a bit generic. They have a wide selection of items including sandwiches, pasta, steaks, pot pies, salads, etc. This is a nice place to grab a bite while shopping in the mall. Food portions are very large as well as drinks. It's a very noisy place, but the food service is good and they are prompt in getting your orders. Their fresh baked bread is good, but nothing special. They have a wide variety of cheesecakes to choose from many of which you can't go wrong and worth trying.

I love that I am so close to this wonderful place! Inside decor is fabulous, those lamps hanging from the ceiling must have cost a pretty penny. It's a bit dark, cold, and loud inside and some of the food can be a bit greasy. But overall food quality is very very good and fresh, and the atmosphere is just splendid. The menu is freaking huge and the cheesecake selection is naturally impressive as expected. The portion sizes are also generous. They clean the shrimp so I don't have to eat shrimp veins and shrimp poo like some places expect me to. Nice. Outside seating, yey! Service is pretty much consistently very good. I feel at home here, this is my kinda place. One star removed due to not taking reservations, being louder and darker than I like, and not offering happy hour on weekends or later on weekdays. But then again the happy hour isn't anything special, it's just half off fried appetizers. No need to speed on over from work to make it before it's over, order better stuff from the yummy regular menu. Maybe someday they will offer tastier and healthier HH options. People like to put down the chains. I call them chain snobs LOL. But you know what!??! I LOVE chains. Yeah, that's right. Chains rule. That's why their all over, because they kick butt. Not all, but enough of them to justify their existence. Their usually consistent at least, whether you like what they offer consistently or not. P.S. I WANT to love the mom and pop businesses, I REALLY do, but many, (though not all of course) are disappointing to me. Why disappoint me!?!? Why when I want to love you so bad!!?!?

Overpriced, overrated, overcrowded. This place pretty much is everything I hate all rolled into one restaurant. There is always a wait no matter what time a day. The customer base is always those people who never get out and think the cheesecake factory is the definition of fine dining. The wait staff i appreciate though, memorizing that menu would be a nightmare.

[+] The only rave about this place is their cheesecake, I mean it IS called "The Cheesecake Factory". I had dinner here with two of my friends and I order the Farmer's burger or something like that. It was pretty good, but It was not as good as the complementary bread that they served. It was so good, especially their pumpernickel bread. Oh and their red valet cheesecake. [-] The food there is just 'meh' and the service was 'meh' as well. We kinda went there on a weird day; their computer system broke down and they had to manually put people on the waiting list. The only thing that bothered me was our server. I ordered a lemonade and usually drinks are the first thing that should be served. Nope, it came after all our food had been served. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to ask him for it, he wouldn't have bought it out to me. When asked, he wasn't even apologetic for forgetting. [?] Will only be back for cheesecake, other than that, sorry- won't be back for the food.

We all know that waiting can be painful here specially during lunch/dinner time. Here's a tip: Drop someone (preferrably the one member of your group who doesn't like shopping. They can people watch while waiting) by their door to get your tables later. You can freely shop for around 20-30 mins cause that's how long the waiting time is. By the time you're done shopping, you've already developed an apetite for The Cheesecake Factory. I would recommend their chicken marsala and veggie thai wrap. Have some dessert after. Try their seasonal cheesecake aside from their classics. You'll be in for a treat. Their servings are huge. You can even share it with the people who are still waiting or you can take it home as a midnight snack/meal. I haven't tried the bar area yet as they are always packed.

The Godiva chocolate cheese cake is fantastic. It's really rich so you may want to cut smaller portions. We purchased the 7 " thinking it would only have a piece or 2 left over. We were wrong. We had 1/2 the cake left. It is my favorite of all the cheesecakes I have tried. I will say this... they are expensive, but well worth the money. You can purchase single slices for around $7.50 a slice. They are large and come with fresh wipped cream.

Even though there's a Cheesecake Factory where I live, I decided to eat here since it was late and just flew in to the area. I had a combination of Herb Filet of Salmon and Steak Diane with sautéed spinach. I asked for the steak to cook rare but it was overcooked and served at medium-well. The steak was tough and dry. Since it was late and the server wasn't around to check up on us, I just accepted it as it was. Fortunately, the Salmon was good but the lemon sauce was quite heavy and overly buttery.

We had lunch there today. We split the chicken avocado club with sweet potato fries. My husband had the sweetened iced green tea and I had lemonade. We finished it up with a slice of classic cheese cake. It was all delicious. Their tea was amazing, the lemonade was exquisite! The sandwich was huge and perfectly done and all of the fixings were very fresh. Our sweet potato fries were warm and yummy. The cheesecake was, of course, to die for! Our waitress was really fun and personable as well! Definitely recommend this place! But either come hungry or split a dish!

Same old cheese cake factory corporate formula: nice surroundings, happy workers, food full of sugar, fats and sodium. Pay through the nose here if you can't find a decent mom and pop restaurant nearby. Did I mention the wait. Not worth it.

My husband and I were at the mall on Friday dropping our macbooks off at the Apple store. Decided to hit up Cheesecake Factory if the wait wasn't long. We only waited about 2 minutes for a table. It was about 2pm, the place was busy but no line at all. Our server was an absolute sweetheart. She doted on my 16 month old son, brought him out a plate of sliced bananas and thinly sliced bread to keep him occupied while we waited for our food. The food was good. We ordered a few appetizers to share. The Vietnamese tacos were delicious. I thought I would like the avocado rolls more than I actually did. Don't order them unless you plan to eat them all on the same day. Having avocado in them, they obviously don't make good leftovers. We split the Farmhouse Cheeseburger. It came with pork belly instead of bacon. I heart pork belly. It was a damn good burger. All in all, good food, great service. I'm sure we'll be back again sometime.

Date Visited: Monday 12/27/10 (Lunch) I thought arriving at the Cheesecake Factory around 2 p.m. would mean no wait, but I was mistaken. Apparently, the Monday after Christmas means tons of shoppers eating at all hours. So, we had a 20-minute wait, which wasn't really bad. The problem is that they don't guarantee the little buzzers will work outside the door of the restaurant, so you can't walk down to Sephora or something and browse while you wait for a table to open up. Anyway, we were seated and asked what we'd like to drink. Our teas were brought along with bread/butter. I wanted a nice casual meal and definitely didn't feel rushed at all on this particular visit. Spazz got the hummus as an appetizer and I was surprised by the massive bowl of hummus delivered. The bread was stacked beside the bowl. I ate some of the hummus with the bread (not the pita bread). Delicious. We both ordered Evelyn's Favorite Pasta (lunch-sized portions are $10.95 as opposed to the dinner-sized $13.95 portions). I've ordered this dish nearly every time I've gone to Cheesecake Factory. For some reason, this time was the absolute best I've had it. It was FULL of pasta, sundried tomatoes, broccoli, eggplant, pine nuts, peppers, and kalamata olives. I didn't feel like I ran out of anything before I was out of pasta, so it was perfect. We mainly went here for lunch because we received a gift card for them. In addition, we received 2 cards for free cheesecake. Spazz is vegan, so it was up to me to pick a piece of cheesecake and bring it home. I ended up getting one full of candy bar goodness and it's awesome! I can't wait to go back.

Their lunch menu is less expensive than the dinner menu and is still a large amount of food. Sure, they are known for their cheesecake, but I like and recommend their huge hot fudge sundae. Big enough for two people.

Don't know why, but I am always quite pleased after my meal at the Factory. I ordered the meatloaf with Mash potatoes and it was simply delicious. It's crowded, noises, but definitely worth it!

We actually went here because we expected a long wait for a table; had some time to kill and were hungry. This place might have a whole lot of marks against it: gargantuan food, way too many choices, in a mall. However, it's one of the only choices in the mall proper. Anyhoo. 20 minutes later, we were seated. It was about noon; guess that's a good time to get seated "quickly." Our waiter was a bit too enthusiastic, but service was good. He seemed excited that I ordered the Memphis Burger. this thing was actually a normal-sized burger with...um...barbecued pulled pork, cheese, cole slaw, and pickles. It was OK. Good thing they included some sauce on the side or there wouldn't have been much flavor without it. My girlfriend's "lunch-sized" salad was still gigantic, by the way. We couldn't resist the red velvet cheesecake. It was two red velvet cake layers with the usual cheesecake. It didn't blow me away, but it was still good. Can't come up with a end for this review other than I didn't die after eating at a *gasp* chain restaurant.

First off, I want to declare that I am not a huge, flag waving fan of chain restaurants. So now that you liberal "I can't stand chains" loonies are off me, here we go. I had never been to a Cheesecake Factory, was not overly excited to go, because I would generally rather try the local flair. But I was with co-workers and majority rules, and for the most part, I am up for anything once. We went on a Thursday evening, were quoted a 20 minute wait which was about 3 minutes. I had the Ultimate Margarita that our fabulous waitress Nicole suggested. I am glad I took her advice, this was well balanced, not too boozy, just a nice drink. Sure, you pay for it, but I paid $8 for a lousy beer at an airport bar, so this is small potatoes. We had a couple apps, the ahi tuna and the artichoke dip. I am not a big fan of tuna or artichoke, but I liked these, so they must have been OK. I bought into the hype and tried the Cajun Jambalaya Pasta. When the server set it down, I thought I made a horrible mistake. I like spicy, but the first scent notes were FIRE IN THE HOLE! But while I waited for the other entrees to be delivered, the aroma toned down, so I dove in. Well done, but not the "our #1 dish" I was expecting. Hype, ya know. I tried the Steak Diane off another plate and it was the best bite of beef I have tasted in a long time. Just lovely. We ordered cheesecake, I think there is a law that this is required. Both the banana and the chocolate something something scrumptiousness were fantastic. I suspect it is hard to get a bad dessert here. What topped off the meal for me was our lovely server Nicole. She quickly assessed that this was a table she could have a good laugh with and RAN with it. We loved her! She was quick witted, skilled at her craft and gave amazing service. I would go back, certainly.

The wait is usually long during peak hours, but I love that it's inside Washington Square Mall. It's close to all the great stores. The Cheesecake Factory has good food which always has my coming back. I love the Avocado Eggrolls and my all-time favorite drink is the Frozen Iced Mango. I can go there anything for these 2 items. Any of their salads are pretty good - all really filling though so I'd recommend to share. The club sandwich is always a favorite... I'm not a big fan of the pastas - I found some to be a little bland and more carbs than I can handle.

I know it's all cool to hate on The Fac (we're on a nickname basis), especially if you're a food snob, but if you want a tasty meal you can't go wrong here. The menu is huge and covers about every major area: pasta, steak, seafood, chicken, salads, sammiches, pizza, etc, etc, etc. I've never been disappointed with anything I've had. I think the specialty chicken dishes are their best offerings. Do yourself a favor and try the Thai chicken pasta. The cheesecakes are of course amazing, and I've heard a rumor they have other desserts, but come on like you're not going to get cheesecake! Their key lime cheesecake may be the Greatest Thing on Earth. Service is always good and even though the place is packed during prime hours the food arrives quickly. And they're always happy to substitute sides or whatever else you need.

I'm a fan of CF and this location is on par with the other restaurants in the chain. Re: seating, I recommend requesting a booth if you want even the slightest bit of privacy, as the center seats (long booths) leave about 12" between you and the person sitting next to you. If their conversation happens to be annoying or their kids are screaming or any other variety of annoying dining behaviors, there will be no way to avoid it. Save yourself! Request a booth.

We have been here a few times. There is always a wait to get a table. I am not too fond of their food here and it is very pricey I do however love their cheesecake. The Red velvet Cheese Cake is my fave!

I give them 3 stars. It's rather a mixed review. I've had overall decent service here, not too thrilled over the food, but o.k. once in a while. However, I recently went to pick up a late night craving for tiramisu cheesecake and the girl at the dessert counter was borderline rude. It would be nice for management to teach their employees that the customers help pay their wages. BTW, tiramisu cheesecake, the BEST!!!! Yummm, it gets the five *****.

I used to go to cheesecake factory quite often when I lived in Pasadena California. I thought the quality of food would be the same since it is a chain store. Well, I am wrong. We came to have lunch at the Washington square mall location last Sunday. I ordered the louisiana chicken pasta. It was the worst I every had. It was very very greasy, and it had absolutely NO salt in it. I guess the chef was too busy such that he/she forgot to put salt to the dish. I tried it, and had my husband try it, and we both agree, it had NO salt. We added salt ourselves using the salt shaker on the table, but the salty flavor could not mix well into the pasta, and the pasta ended up tasting weird, kind of bitter. Because we have touched the food, I felt too bad to ask the server to replace the food. We took it home, but no one wanted to eat it. We ended up throwing it away. I still feel bad for throwing away food.

Tigard must be where all of the conservative Republicans who don't live in Portland go to be suburbanites. Avoid Washington Square Mall and the Cheescake Factory within if you can, people. The huge servings of mediocre food are a metaphor for and microcosm of the mall as a whole. Our bored, detached, careless Russian immigrant waitress had the vacant, cold, no-soul-behind-the-sky-blue-eyes stare of an assassin (which, frankly, was the most appealing aspect of my dining experience). The order took forever, and the food came out well before the drinks. My enormous Caesar salad tasted better than cattle silage, so two big thumbs up for that huge accomplishment. I ordered an amber ale and got a heffeweisen. Not exactly a disaster in itself -- I didn't even bother to send it back -- but wholly in keeping with the overall experience of cumulative ineptitude.

Food is wonderful, atmosphere is wonderful, customer service is great! I was having dinner with a group of 6. Everyone's dinner came and mine didn't come until 4-5 minutes later. A manager brought my plate out, apologized, and insisted on giving me a free piece of cheesecake. That is the way to keep customers happy!

I hate malls, but the purchase of many Apple products made a visit necessary. After spending over an hour in the Apple store we were hungry. This mall has very few sit down choices outside of the food court, so we settled on CF. I really don't get the appeal of this place. The food was mediocre: my wilted lettuce French farm salad, Hanna's boring pasta sauce, Steve's bland caesar salad. The service was crappy - our food, all of it, came out before our drinks, even after reminding our server that we were waiting for them. And the ambience -- Vegas casino meets Olive Garden. My recommendation: Only go here if you need drinks to take the edge off of the whole mall experience and be prepared to wait.

I haven't been to a Cheesecake Factory in years, and the last time I was at one, the food was mediocre at best. Boy was I surprised when I went to the one at the mall the other day. The wait was a bit silly, almost an hour for a party of two. That aside, once we were seated the server was attentive and informative. Which we needed with the 24 page menu, was hard to make a choice. Ended up getting the Hibachi Steak and loving it, finishing the meal with strawberry cheesecake seemed a no brainer so we did. Very enjoyable if a bit over-priced.

I liked this place a lot. The Shepherd's pie was excellent and was very big. I had enough to take home with me and I eat a lot. Overkill on the onions though. The chocolate cheesecake was also good but kinda expensive.

Stopped in and grabbed a quick lunch with a friend. Be forewarned - this place has become popular on Saturdays for baby/wedding showers and birthdays in general. How does that affect you - well, they take up large tables and stay and stay and stay. Which means as the masses come in - you wait and wait and wait. It was 1:30 and we had a 20 min wait. The menu is like a book (which I like) - it has something for everyone. Pasta, sandwiches, asian, italian, mexican, etc etc. Which probably goes back to explaining why large groups eat here - everyone should be able to find something they like. I have yet to have a meal that is not good - is it jaw dropping amazing? No, it is solid good food. Huge portions, enough for lunch the next day or to share with a friend and start with an appetizer. My friend and I usually order something we both may like and give the extra to the other for the next day just to mix it up. Works great with sandwiches or just asking for a extra plate beforehand and putting the portion on it before you start eating with your own utensils LOL One more thing - it is loud and kind of dark. Lots of kids - definitely not a romantic lunch or dinner.

My only experience with Cheese Cake Factory is that Penny works there from the Sitcom "Big Bang Theory". While in Tigard an opportunity came up to give it a try. I was really impressed with the pasta dish I ordered. I had the chicken chipotle penne pasta. The dish was very creamy with a hint of spiciness. I like my food VERY spicy, so I thought it could have been more so, but for the average "Julie or Joe" it was probably just right. They had some excellent table bread that's served warm with butter on the side. The service is top notch, and of-course the dessert was awesome too. I had the coconut cream cheese cake.

OK, Ive been here a few times with my family (not my choice) overall the portions are huge and expensive and to say the food is forgettable means you got lucky. As for the namesake cheesecake the Trader Joe's New York style is way better and you get the whole cheesecake for the price of a slice here.

Good restaurant. Specially If you planning on celebrating some event. Their dessert is amazing (obviously from its name). The only complain I have about this restaurant is the prices vs. food portions. Their food portions are really big. They can on the other hand decrease the price and the portion. Would be a good idea, i guess!

if ya wonder why i keep giving out 4stars and more, why?! simple, why would i eat anywhere that's not good and tasty, waste my hardearned $$$. Don't be silly, never will there be a time 4such an activity. First time in this area of Oregon, and boy did we have a superb time enjoying the fine weather, nice stay in nearby hotel, checked out Moto shops and yep found a few, 1 in particular of a fine ride that we wanna take back to Cali. What do say about Cheesecake Factory? This as y'll know is a chain of fine eatery with their trademark/landmark of amazing variety of cheesecakes like you won't believe. Such a huge menu and handsome servings... love to come back for more anytime :)

This is probably the biggest Cheesecake Factory I've been to, to-date. Lots of seatings and ceiling. It's a cross between the Nile + Willy Wonka factory. It doesn't do much for my taste, but it works for them. I would skip the food and go directly to dessert, because, really, there's a reason why they called it Cheesecake Factory. So many flavors, it's hard to stay away.

We don't come often and it's nothing against the food but mostly the crazy wait times. Contrary to some of the reviews here, it seems everyone in the Portland metro wants to be at the Cheesecake Factory because the waits are pretty long. Aside from that the food is pretty tasty. Our favorites are the Chicken and Shrimp Gumbo and the Bang Bang Chicken and Shrimp. I've also had several of their appetizers including the Egg Rolls, Calamari, and the Spinach Cheese Dip, but not at this particular location, it was one in California. Either way i've never been dissappointed with my food. There's much to choose from on the menu which can be rather overwhelming for some. And the Red Velvet Cheesecake was yummy!!!

  • Well-Traveled I.

I'm not adamantly opposed to chains, but I do prefer to give my money to local businesses. (I won't lie; I could live on Olive Garden breadsticks alone.) That being said. The Cheesecake Factory is like Disneyland or Disney World; everyone wants to go but there are far better places to visit. Both my friend and I had never been and wanted to see what it was like. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, which was $11.95. Portions are huge and the prices are a bit high for a chain, but I've noticed prices are up everywhere in all restaurants, and so it goes... The sandwich was served with the sauce on the side, so I had to dip my sandwich in the sauce, which made eating it awkward. It was good, but I wish I went for something lighter. Warm bread is provided before the meal. If you order a drink, it's served in huge glasses and water is served in plastic beer mugs. Maybe it was me, but the food seemed rather salty because I actually asked for a Coke (I typically don't drink Coke or any soda at meals) because I needed something sweet to balance out the saltiness of the meal. It's VERY noisy, so don't expect a romantic evening without the kids unless you like it noisy. Also, don't be prepared to linger and have a nice conversation - our waiter kept coming by after we ate to check on us. Tables are a premium.

Firstly: You're in Portland! Eat somewhere interesting! The food here is okay, average, with an overwhelmingly large menu. They have good cocktails. The service is always fantastic. There is nothing here that will "wow" you, but nothing will leave you disappointed either (shouldn't, anyway) it's all very safe. I would, however, come here for dessert and an appetizer. The avocado eggrolls are worth mentioning. As is the Lemon Raspberry cheesecake. Not too sweet. Just right.

Maybe the Cheesecake Factory could combine with the Spaghetti Factory to create the ultimate American restaurant where everyone waits three hours to get a table, then gets served an absurdly large portion of instantly-forgettable food. Or maybe people could figure out that it's best to avoid restaurants with "factory" in their name.

I love this place! well, i love the food....not so much the parking, or the wait for a table, or even sometimes the wait for your waiter to return...but the food is worth it. i am a creature of habit & so i only have ordered one item (& it's only been messed up one time - undercooked noodles) - a cajun kinda pasta w/ bowtie noodles & breaded chicken. i don't like bowtie, so i put it on penne & i don't do breaded so i do grilled & let me tell you it's yummy! but what i love best is the white chocolate raspberry cheesecake! talk about mouth watering!! the menu is entirely too large though, chef ramsey would have a hay day with that...

Where to start.. My food had to be remade twice and it still was not correct there after but I just settled eventually. By the time my food had arrived my husband had cleared his plate. It was not the nice dinner we had hoped for. One of the most horrific parts of the dinner was our waitress Courtney H. She complained to us the whole time about how she didn't want to be at work and how she was in a bad mood. To top it off she was cursing as well. It was the most unprofessional experience from a waitress we have ever endured. She should be fired! I wish I would have made the time to call in and speak to a manager but while we were there and they messed up on my food the manager never came over to apologize or offer anything so I don't think anything would have even been done had I called in. This all happened on 04/10/12 if anyone is curious. Never going back to the cheesecake factory!

No, the food doesn't taste better if there is more on your plate than you can possibly eat in one sitting. No, the food doesn't taste better if you paid only 20 bucks for your oversized semi-premade meal. Ironically, the only part of the food where the portions aren't val-u sized or val-u priced is the cheesecake itself, despite the fact that this place is called the CHEESECAKE factory. It's disgusting to imagine anyone actually having room for dessert after they finish an entree here anyway. I won't be going to this place after my sole venture, but I'm sure there are enough people out there happy with suburban-corporate ambiance and mid-scale mediocrity, as proven by the many 4-5 star reviews I see here.

I wouldn't say that I'm anti-chain... but chain restaurants don't impress me very much, and though the Cheesecake Factory wasn't an exception to this, they're still "A-OK." I hate waiting, and I definitely hate having to wait in a confined area, so I usually go to the Cheesecake around 2 o'clock to beat the lunch crowd. I do notice, though, that once you're seated, whether during prime-time or down-time, you're attended to quickly and your order comes out at a reasonable time. I've come to realize, after trying their pizzas, pastas, salads and other entrees, that I'm not a fan of the food here. Not only are their portions larger than life, but the food itself isn't very inspiring. I'm looking for quality, not quantity!!! Why 3 stars then, instead of 1 or 2? Well, for one, as I've mentioned, the service is quick once you're seated. Two, I love love love their strawberry shortcake with its juicy, sweet strawberries and heaping scoop of ice cream. && three, I liked that their mojitos come with a ton of mint leaves! Aside from these few perks, however, the Cheesecake Factory should not be a go-to restaurant for your foodings.

I have to say as far as chains go this place is pretty consistent. My main gripe with their dinner is portion size. They WAAY overdo it. I went today for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the price and smaller portions. I really wish they offered lunch portions all the time, then I would go more often. Why pay 16 bucks for something when I'm only really eating half? I'd much rather pay 10 bucks and eat almost all of it! Their food is pretty good, but their cheesecakes are the star of the show. Next time were shopping in Washington square I will be back, but I probably won't ever make a trip out of the way for this place.

I don't write novels like the other people, so this will be short and sweet! I have eaten here a few times, and there always seems to be something that is just 'off'... The food is usually pretty decent, but they usually get at least one component wrong. The waitstaff seems to need more training on what comes on each menu item, I think then there wouldn't be so many mistakes. If we return, it will only be for the cheesecake.

My bad experience with bad service finally broken with my trip to Cheesecake Factory. I came here with my friend and we got seated right away at 6 pm on Tuesday night. The fried calamari appetizer was excellent and my dinner combination of Salmon and Steak Diane was really good. By the time we ordered the cheesecake, I feel full already, but I ordered that damn Pistachio Chocolate cheesecake anyway and made myself really bloated. I couldn't finish the cheesecake so I took it to go with half of my meal. Our waitress was really nice. She's polite and not pushy. I love cheesecake factory, not only because it made me bloated, but they made me feel like a good customer. :)

This place is beautiful! It kind of makes me feel like I'm back in vegas... the food isn't all that great to me though, it's more like an overpriced Applebees. They usually have a really long wait, and everyoone that works there seems to have a frown plastered on their face. I have to admit, when they first opened, i waited in long for an insane amount of time to get in. I enjoyed the oreo cheesecake, but really, I don't see what the big hype is.

I find it amusing that Cheesecake Factory has a Weight Management mini-menu that has salads that are around 590 calories. Umm, how is that healthy? Ugh.....well, whatever....the only thing that I usually get from there is the grilled cheese and I add tomatoes to it. Healthy? No...but one of the only items that I find tolerable there. My husband likes the food more than I do but overall he just finds it OK. He got the chicken piccatta today and said that it was (as usual) just 'OK'. What I find even more bothersome than the food is the clientele. Granted, I was eating there so I shouldn't be too critical but, check out these gems: #1: Our buzzer rang along with a few other couples. They had us all gather around the booth and still had to wait a few minutes to be seated. This other woman that was waiting kept being super rude to everyone saying that people were cutting in front of her and that she was waiting too. Ummm, yeah all of our buzzers went off...deal with it! #2: OK, this one was really gross....This couple sitting next to us was sharing buffalo wings and fries. After they were done the woman pulled out this cream from her purse and starting rubbing it on her foot. While she was sitting at the table!!!!!! She then put her bare foot back on the floor and then started eating her cheese cake with the same hands! I was nauseous. She then proceeded to point out all these pock marks on her arms and was discussing how much worse they used to be. Oh, and then she picked at her teeth in the mirror before finally leaving. So, yeah.....all around, The Cheesecake Factory is just the pits. Too expensive for the quality. The portions are way too huge, I couldn't even finish the grilled cheese, I only ate half of it. Oh, and I tried ordering the low carb, low sugar cheesecake and found out that they don't carry it anymore. Granted, that does sound ridiculous (trying to order the low fat cheesecake) considering I ordered the grilled cheese but still..... I guess if you want a family friendly chain restaurant this is the place to go though, the strollers sure were lined up outside that place! For some reason it is always crowded...no matter which Cheesecake Factory you go to and no matter when you go there is always a wait. It just isn't for me. One positive....it was a nice way to get out of the heat, the air conditioning was in high gear today.

My favorite restaurant in Portland hands down. I know its a chain restaurant but they give HUGE portions that are spot on every time. You get warm bread as you wait for your meal which is always something I look forward to. Their drinks are delicious and have a TON of food to choose from. Not to mention their cheesecake yum lots to choose from there too. They have a seasonal menu too so there is always something different to try when you go.The only downfall is they are usually busy and there is a long wait.

What is the appeal of The Cheesecake Factory? Noisy restaurant? Check. Dizzying array of fatty crap? Check. Oversized portions of mediocre mass-marketed food? Check. Mall location? Check. Why not just go to Sbarro's and save yourself $10?

so yesterday my classmates and i had an exam and since we all passed we decided to do dinner. so i figured about 12 ish of us would be attending dinner so i called in like the great planner i am and tried to make reservations. well unfortunately, they only take reservations on certain days and certain times of the day as well. yesterday being friday.. they weren't taking reservations (and saturdays) .. so i asked the women, what should i do if i had a party for about 12-15 people? she said come in about an hour to two hours early to put my name on the list. so i did so because we were in the mall.. i could just shop while we waited. so i told everyone dinner around 730. i showed up at 640 and the manager told me it will be about a 50 minute wait. i was like okay, i can dig it. told everyone to come around 8, that would be a more reasonable time so they wouldn't have to wait around. so 50 minutes rolls by and another 15 i go and check to see if they called our table they said no and the wait now should only be about 10 minutes while they put our tables together. we're all there and we're all hungry. another 15 minutes rolls by, nothing. my friend went to go check and they said, oh someone from your party said that you would like to be split into two groups so your wait time would be shorter. WTF????? helllls no. i call the manager. he says, on let me check and see about that, that's not right. im standing in front of him waiting to hear whats up.. and he get's diverted. then a party of 10 gets called in and then a table of 8 get's called in.. more time pass and i'm like, for real can you tell me how long the wait is now because we're all here all waiting and it's been over an hour and a half. so he said, okay looks like the table we have you guys set up for has people still there, they have already paid and usually we estimate a big party to dine for about an hour to tops an hour and a half. it's now been an hour and 45 minutes and it's our policy that we can't ask them to leave. sooo i'm like damn if you guys can't ask, i sure as hell can. he standing there offering free appetizers and stuff.. im like damn. and just as i was going to walk over there, the party decides to leave. so he's like, a few minutes as we clean your table. great. they pretty much gave our table away and mixed up our "reservations" big bunch of jerks. manager was nice afterwards.. and our waitresses weren't terrible. food was good and the cheese cake was even better. i got the factory chopped salad and b had the meatloaf. both never fail and b had an extra slice to take to work in a meatloaf sandwich whoop whoop! friends had really good food too.. bbq salmon, mushroom burger, tomato basil shrimp angel hair. i know for sure the tomato basil shrimp pasta was good.. as for everything else, i didn't get to try it. everything was pretty spendy. i wasn't so happy about my drink. they DO NOT make a mean mojito. don't get it here. what else..? that's all for now. ill update if there's more. 3.5 stars for the food. 1 star for the customer service. ultimate FAIL in customer service.

1st thing is 1st, I love Cheesecake Factory. I have eaten at them in several locations but the one at Washington Square in metro Portland Oregon is by far the smallest and also the best. It is better than its sister Factory in Seattle. This place has a massive menu with enough unique flavors to satisfy any pallet both gross and subtle. If you have a group of picky eaters I strongly recommend this restaurant because there is almost certainly something for everyone in your group at this restaurant. Also as a side note, their avocado egg rolls are insanely addictive!

Yes, there is usually a wait, but I am not sure what the previous reviewer was talking about when he referred to a three-hour wait - unless maybe he was trying to make a statement by using a hyperbole. I am also not sure what he meant when he talked about the restaurant serving 'instantly-forgetable' food. Unless he is a connoisseur of fine food and used to eating frequently at the one of these restaurants ( foodandwine.com/articles… ), I don't see how he could be blasé about the food at Cheesecake factory. Anyway, this is not intended to be a a review of another review, but I just couldn't resist. I have always enjoyed eating at the Cheesecake Factory. Always. The food is great and they do have a pretty exhaustive menu that offers reasonable variety. The service usually varies between 3 and 5 on a scale of 1 - 5. This is what we (party of 4) ordered today: Appetizers (Thai Lettuce Wraps, Firecracker Salmon rolls) - both these dishes were excellent. The sauces that were served with the lettuce wraps were flavorful and I think one of them was had Indian spices. Main course: Miso Salmon, Wasabi Crusted Ahi Tuna, Louisiana Chicken Pasta, Pasta Carnonara. Our collective feedback in short: The chef delivered as promised. Dessert: I don't remember the kind of cheesecake, but it had 3 layers, we each got a slice and we ate in silence - it was a good kind of silence and the kind of silence that you go into when you're indulging in a guilty pleasure ( I'll be paying my dues for this indulgence by running 4 miles tomorrow morning) The expected wait time when we checked in today was 25 - 40 minutes. Our actual wait time was 20 minutes. We're going back. Soon.

I've always had good dining experiences at Cheesecake Factories, even though I think cheesecake itself is disgusting. It tastes sour and awful. I've heard a couple women remark that it reminds them of the taste of ........

Today I learned that it's a bad idea to eat cheesecake for breakfast. And yet, I want to return to the Cheesecake Factory to get another slice (entire cake?) for dinner. Oh, Erin.... I don't generally enjoy the food at the Cheesecake Factory & this location was not much of a change. I just find it really difficult to find tasty yet healthy fare at this place. Yesterday my boyfriend and I enjoyed a late lunch on the deck, which was nice- the right amount of sun and people watching for a nice time. I settled on the $15 seared ahi tuna salad, which was underwhelming value-wise, but still tasty. Boyfriend had his usual club sandwich ($11) which he loves. Two slices of cheesecake later ($5-7 per slice) and we were food-coma induced and ready for a nap. I'd return to the Cheesecake Factory for desert, and I love the outside seating option for a nice day. But, I'm going to have to dock a few stars for the lacking healthy options & steep prices.

My family and i went to the cheesecake factory today for dinner and indulged ourselves quite a bit. but fist, let me go over the service. We where seated quickly (but it was an odd hous 4:30ish), our waitress was amazing, she went over what the specials/soups of the day where before we had to ask and wasn't fake at all and was extremely plesant. As for the food, we where brought bread to munch on, a small white french loaf and a small brown bread loaf with oats on the top, and they also brought butter pats. The menu was huge and they have a vey nice bar with plenty to choose from, they also have a new skinylicious menu for the ones watching their weight. We ordered the fried macaroni and cheese (extremely fatty and caloric i know but as i said, we indulged ourselves tonight), and it was amazing. The noodles where well cooked and not soggy or dry from being fried, the sauce was very flavorfull, and the breading kept everything together well. They put a cream marinara on the bottom of the plate for dipping and my family and i agreed that it was perfect with the macaroni balls, (did i say they where formed in four golf ball-sized portions on the plate? no? well now i did.) My dad ordered the fetutini alfredo with a side of sauteed spinach and the spinach was cooked only with a little butter, salt, and pepper in a cast iron pan. my dad said the pasta was well cooked in the alfredo, the sauce wasn't too thick or to runny and he said it stuck well to the pasta. I had a chipotle crispy chicken sandwich on a kaiser roll. the only thing chipotle about it was a mayo sauce.I agreed with my mom's following notes on the fies but i liked them that way. Mom had a wild mushroom burger, she said it was tender she asked for rare and got blood rare "the way she likes it". she didn't like her french fries, had potential with seasoning, but where twice cooked which made them rubbery. After dinner my family and i decided to have desert which i extremely recommend, dad had the red velvet cheesecake, he says it was very good. (not very talkative tonight) Lol. Mom had the Raspberry Lemon Cheesecake she said the sauce topping was way too tart so she pushed it off to the side, commented that the whipped cream on the side was nice and tasty, also said the amount was just right. Both my parents had coffee's which had been freshly brewed, mom said it was above average coffee, i observed that it was quite hot, needed 3 sugars and plenty of cream, depending on who was drinking it. I had a cappucino which was, fair warning- huge, alot larger than your average cap. So i had the adams penut butter fudge ripple cheesecake, which was, O.M.G. Indulgent, it had Resse's on the top, caramel, cookie bottom, and choco swirls, with a topping swirl of penut butter icing. It was amazing. Beware and prepare for a sugar high! All in All, we loved it, it was our first time to a cheesecake factory and we where extremely happy.

Ok, so the menu takes forever to go through. Maybe they just want to have everyone covered? Most of the food is pretty average, but oh. my. god. I love cheesecake, and I love tiramisu... so the tiramisu cheesecake is my dream come true (to be honest, I usually skip the meal and just get a drink and tiramisu cheesecake).

Having been to two Cheescake Factory locations in the S.F. Bay Area, I entered this one with low expectations and a high degree of certainty that I would be in for a long wait for a table, mediocre service, average food and great desserts. That way, I knew I would not be disappointed. While the wait WAS long (over an hour when we were told 30 minutes) we were a large party to accommodate and I was anticipating the wait. But, the rest of my somewhat low and negative expectations were turned upside-down. Food was very good to excellent for all diners. We had one entree that experienced a kitchen delay. But the server quickly explained what the problem was along with a very sincere apology. Because the portions are so large, two in our party eventually wound up sharing a VERY large entree and the "problem entree" was then canceled. Absolutely no problem. Even the manager came over to inquire, ensure everything was satisfactory and apologize for the kitchen's error, made sure we understood what had caused the problem and sincerely apologized AGAIN. In our collective minds the problem was very minor but the wait-staff's treatment of it and of us was golden. The service: absolutely excellent all around. Water glasses constantly filled. Ice tea refilled. Bread refilled. Very quick acknowledgement, a smile and an "absolutely no problem" attitude throughout the meal. Personal, yet appropriate, conversation with the server. This location could and should give customer service lessons and training to the S.F. Bay Area locations. The tip was 35% and the server was highly praised directly to the manager on duty.

I'm giving three stars...nothing spectacular but nothing bad either. If it wasn't for the decor and location, this would be a so-so place to eat. The menu is vast, and the food was pretty good. The place is too busy for it's own good, and the decor screams "I'm trying to be Las Vegas". The staff was friendly, but the overall busy atmosphere made it seem like the staff was barely in control of the chaos. I thought the pricing was ok. Yes, I would eat there again, but this wouldn't be on my list for places to impress someone.

The menu is overwhelming but portions are huge. Find a way to save room for any of their cheesecakes. They are delicious!

HUGE portions abound here. It's too pricey for daily lunch, but if you're on expense account, you can do it. Of course, the cheesecake is to die for. My measuring stick for a place to get lunch is the good old Clubhouse Sandwich. If it's done right, typically, the rest of the fare is done right. Here, it's done right. I must return upon my next flight north. 4 1/2 stars.

Very reliable for a chain. Also, they actually cook here. The portions are huge and so is the wait because they're not smart enough to have more than one in the area. I recommend the Chinese chicken salad and the charbroiled chicken ranch salad. Very tasty but watch out for duck fans as they are everywhere until their stupid team loses.

My boyfriend and I went to this Cheesecake factory (it was his first time to one) and we both loved it! The menu is huge, you really can't go wrong and the cheesecakes are to die for! We had the fried macaroni which was great and the crab dip, yummy as well. He ordered a burger and I had the fettuccine with sun dried tomatoes. For dessert we had the red velvet cheese cake which was SO GOOD, he looked at me and was like "we have to have this for our wedding cake!!!". We also tried Linda's chocolate cake, and the Reese's peanut butter cheesecake they were both very tasty but rich. The service was wonderful, we couldn't stop raving about how nice our waiter was, he always made sure we had refills and was checking in on us he was EXCELLENT! We loved the Cheesecake factory and can't wait to go back on our next Portland visit.

Sometimes you just feel like you want Cheesecake Factory. How can you go wrong with a menu that has as many pages as a telephone book? This one is much like the others. Except for the fact that I was sat in a section where the floor had obviously been spilled on with some soda...sticky floor, yuck! They walked us right through the sticky part and the entire time we were there, nobody cleaned it. Otherwise, my BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad was HUGE and tasty as always. Service was friendly, but I felt our server was a little TOO friendly and eager. But overall, still a decent dining experience.

I keep coming back again and again to this restaurant. Their menu is outrageous. So, many choices to choose from. Plus you can't leave without ordering dessert. My all time favorite is the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cheesecake. Mouthwatering delicious. For drinks I recently tried the Tropical Martini very yummy, but pricey $10 for a glass. Pasta dish I recommend the Louisiana Chicken Pasta you'll love it I gaurantee. Appetizers the Thai Lettuce Wraps is messy to eat but a lot of fun and so good. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and it's always busy all the time. That's when you know the food is good. The longest I ever waited for a table was 30 min which wasn't bad. They have an area where you can sit and wait or the mall is right there so you can shop while waiting.

I could go on and on about The Cheesecake Factory, the way too long menu, the advertising in the menu, the humongous portions. But really I'd only like to mention one thing...the drinks. I ordered a Georgia Peach on my last visit and I have to say, this was the best alcoholic beverage I have ever purchased in my entire life. I've had exotic cocktails on cruise ships, happy hour concoctions downtown, and holiday themed intoxicants a plenty, but this way above and beyond. The bartender started by pouring a think red mix in the bottom of a snifter glass, then pured in the drink mix. The orange mix spreads the deep red mix through the outer of the glass making the entire drink look like...you guessed it, a peach! It was phenomenal, and should be for $11. All around, the single best alcoholic beverage I have ever purchased. Very few have even come close and it will be awhile before I am awed by this sort of creativity again.

Thank you franchise gods for bringing The Cheesecake Factory to our world of small plates and foreign language menus! I first fell in love with The Cheesecake Factory at their original location in Beverly Hills, where the restaurant is more like an old house and seating is limited so I can see how some may be overwhelmed by the atmosphere and design of the large Washington Square location, but no matter which location you're at, you will be served the same great food. Yes the portions are large, but that's what to-go boxes and the gym are for. To me (a girl who likes to eat and get what she's paying for) large portions earn the restaurant a star, as long as the food is good, and it is! My favorite is the four cheese pasta, but I've taken everyone I know to the Cheesecake Factory and I've never heard a complaint about what was served, from the salads to the Cajun chicken littles to the appetizers. Along with your main course, they serve two kinds of super yummy bread and of course cheesecake. They always have about 30 flavors of cheesecake to choose from and they're all quite tasty. They range from great plain cheesecake with fresh fruit, to peanut butter-cookie dough cheesecake. Many are quite rich so I do vote share or get another to-go box. If you go on the weekend you will more than likely have to wait a while for your table, but it's worth it. They have a nice bar with yummy Bellini's (and other drinks) if you wanna grab a drink while you wait. Or you can venture into the mall and people watch. Bottom line- You will not leave hungry, but you will leave wanting more!

What do you expect for a chain. I have only been to a few chain restaurants that i would give 4 stars to. This place is OK, they have a big menu with something for even the most picky person. The food is fine, not great but good enough. The waitstaff is pretty good. Every once in a while you get somebody that you will annoy the hell out of you. The cheesecake is about the best thing going here.... hence the name cheesecake factory.

Talk about enhancing the issue of over-eating! Portions to feed a small elephaunt = GINORMOUS. Asking them to box half of it BEFORE they even bring it to your table may help with the issue of over-indulging. It's a beautiful place - with almost an eqyptian twist. How cheesecake and Eqyptians came together, I have no idea. Betcha it's an interesting story. After being ignored for a good 15 minutes; Our server came and helped us, finally. He apologized repeatedly for the suffering service, THANKS! Now take our DAMN FOOD ORDER. No, 10 more minutes of apologizing ... Yes, when you GET the service, it's great here =) Over-the top, actually ... Ordered a chicken and avocado club. It was good! I'm not a fan of foo-foo drinks, but foo-fooness runs rampant on their drink menu =) I tried the Georgia Peach; the cutest drink, with the weakest amount of alcohol - EVER. Did they forget to put it in there? Lots and LOTS on the menu =) I think it's a shame if you come here and stuff your face and don't leave room for dessert. I mean, this IS the Cheesecake Factory. So, keep that in mind, or you'll get too full, ya hear?

The food here is delicious there is plenty of selections for you to chose. I normally get there pasta. Although, the first time I went there I had a burger. They are humoungous. So, if you have a big appetite it's a perfect place for you to go. I don't even remember if I finished it or not. The only drawback is that the portions sometimes are huge, but other then that I have nothing to complain about oh and since it's so popular it can get very loud. The cheesecake is delivcious. It's like you're in heaven. There are plenty of selections for you to chose from. Which is definitely a plus since I'm not a huge fan of chocholate it's nice to know that there's a place that will have a very good selection.

I absolutely love the Cheesecake Factory! It is my all-time favorite restaurant! Since it is such a popular restaurant, we expect a wait, which is fine-that's when you get a little shopping done! My favorite meal there is the Chicken Madiera Combo with Steak or Salmon -yummmm. Also their Avacado Eggrolls are to die for! Very Yummy. This place is filled with awesome food, you won't regret going :)

I'm giving the manager and waitstaff of this Cheesecake Factory 4 stars. Why, might you ask? Well, it was a busy shopping Saturday during the post-Thanksgiving weekend. We were in town and wanted to see all of our friends and celebrate my hubby's birthday. I made a reservation for about 12 people for 1pm. Unfortunately, they screwed up my reservation, and we had to wait about a half an hour to get the tables set up for our large group of hungry adults and children. Well, this was no biggie, since all of our friends love to make a (late) entrance. Everyone was on-time, or early for this celebratory lunch. The manager was genuinely sorry and apologized profusely. I was mildly annoyed, but oh well, it's only a reservation. To make it up to us, she told us we could order 4 appetizers, on the house. It was a good time...we got to see all our friends, celebrate a birthday and enjoy a ton of yummy, FREE food.

Yes, the wait sucks, but every time I have eaten there the food has been super tasty. The portions are a bit over the top, but hey for the price you are getting like three meals! Ha! Sharing is a good idea. The Crispy Spicy Beef is awesome, the Hungarian Goulash is so rich and delicious, and their Steak Diane isn't too shabby. I like this place for special occasions, or to take people from out of town. The Mojitos there are super tasty and not skimpy. The menu is a book, and has such a vast variety of food options that I could never hope to try them all. I adore the whimsical decor, and the staff is always running around like chickens with their heads....you know. Then there are the cheesecakes. Oh glory! I have tried the lemon raspberry, the white chocolate latte, the coconut chocolate, and the god of cakes "Chris' Outrageous Chocolate Cake". It is an amazing mountain of cheesecake, German chocolate cake, and fudge frosting. It is probably the only cake I have ever loved.

For a mall restaurant, the atmosphere is really nice. The tall ceilings with a nice tone provides a nice dining environment. The service is excellent and polite. The food portions are huge and the price is actually not too bad. The quality of the food isn't as good as some of the other Cheesecake Factories that I've been to, but it's still really good. I would recommend it over the food court, if you're willing to shell about $5 more per person.

Last night we decided to take the trek to Washington Square to come here for dinner, our motivation was we had a giftcard. The wait wasn't so bad, 30 minutes on a Sunday night. (I thought it was going to be worse). We got seated and order drinks and appetizer's, the calamari was good and honestly the best cocktail sauce I have ever had, it was nice and horseradishy! When our food got there I couldn't believe the enormity of what was in front of me. I ordered Chicken Capoletta(?), there were 3 flattened chicken breasts on my plate with mashed potato's and asparagus. This meal could have fed a family of 3., seriously, and they would have brought home leftovers. One thing that I did'n't like is that they call themselves a "Family" restaurant but don't have a kids menu, we had to purchase an $8.95 appetizer for our 7 year old, again, it could have fed 3 if not 4 people. If you go here split the meal and you will be fine and as always....GET the cheesecake, it is finger lickin' good!

sometimes I reflect fondly upon days (like, when i was in college) when I didn't know the Cheesecake Factory's Asian Chicken salad had approximately 1 million zillion calories and i could just enjoy that hellofa salad. oh well. maybe if i jog to tigard and home it'll be a wash.

Something on the menu for every last soul. If you want to get fat on cheesecake and whipped cream with a half life of 20 years, this is your place. I like sitting at the bar and drinking some cocktails like a pomegranate mojito or a lemon drop. I know, foo-foo all the way but something about this place just makes me swing that way. It gets way dark in there at night...the lighting is way too low BUT... if you are there with a romantic interest..that can prove to your advantage. I have any pretty much everything on their menu and never been disappointed. The outside seating is pretty decent; could people watching spot! Yes, I enjoy the occasional people judging at the mall while I eat my cheesecake sport. ;)

This place always seems to be busy, and for a good reason! The service is always outstanding, and the food is excellent. I especially love their new "special menu" which has the same size portions, the same quality of food, but lower prices. So spend $12 and get enough food for two meals, doesn't get better than that.

Sigh. I should have known....a chain restaurant attached to a mall?! But no, I just haaaad to try the Cheesecake Factory. I mean, I love me some cheesecake, and if they had good cheesecake, it would be enough for me to keep coming back. But they don't. I'll get to that later. My first complaint is regarding the advertisements in the menu....really? Could it get any tackier? And a HUGE menu, which is kind of cool I guess, but apparently the Cheesecake Factory thinks it can cover food from all over the world, because they literally offer everything. The first time I had a shrimp pasta.....huge portion, bland food. Way too many noodles and like 5 shrimp. Okay, but my biggest complaint is the cheesecake. WHEN YOUR NAME IS THE FREAKING CHEESECAKE FACTORY, THE CHEESECAKE HAD BETTER BE GOOD. Maybe they try to compensate for their crappy cheesecake by offering 283947298347 different kinds of it. But the different flavors are a joke, because no matter what kind you get, it's completely overwhelmed by a ton of whipped cream. I guess I could say I'll just ask for no whip next time, but I don't think there will be a next time. Under all that whipped cream, the cheesecake is just plain disappointing. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because I ordered the chicken marsala once, and it was pretty good. Too bad I'll never go back again....I could name 100 places with better drinks, service, atmosphere, food, dessert, menu, blah blah blah blah. In fact, why am I still talking about the Cheesecake Factory? SO over it.

Not sure why some people don't think it's "cool" to like chain restaurants, my husband and I LOVE the CCF. It's super busy and there are waits because it is fantastic and popular. I have never had a bad meal here, and we've been going to CCF long before it ever came to Portland. Great food, awesome selection, always yummy leftovers to take home. Service is always amazing, too. Now we take our daughter and she loves it as well..thank you CCF for finally getting a kid's menu, which in the past was the only thing we didn't like.

I just came back from Cheesecake Factory happy hour and it wasn't bad. I had the mojito which was good and at only $5 it was even better! My gal pal had the dirty raspberry lemonade which was tart and refreshingly sweet and my other friend had the strawberry lemonade which was great too! The most positive thing about this HH menu is that they offer their most popular appetizers for only $5 and the portions are the regular sized ones so it was enough to fill us up. Of course we got the fried mac and cheese which was so divine I ended up ordering some to-go for the husband. We also ordered the crab dip which was ok but the bread served on the side was too greasy. We also had the calamari which didn't have much flavor and the potstickers which were unimpressive. Overall, I am impressed with the portions you get for the price and it's a great deal, but the food could use some flavor (aside from the fried mac and cheese of course!) There are limited seats in the bar during happy hour though so come early or prepare to wait!

Rude service and bland oversized portions of food await! The Cheeseflake Factory is the epitome of why 1/2 of America is overweight, and the other 1/2 are just plain rude. Don't bother.

Good god the wait. Like A P said, you'd expect the food to be fabulous and wonderful and all things speical. My sister and I split a pasta dish so profound I don't even remember the name of it now. We did the right thing splitting because at least the portions were huge. Yay mediocre large portion food. Hah. We saved room for cheesecake, and dare I say I was mildly disappointed? Sure they have 900 types of cheesecake, but if you're even going to be called the cheesecake factory, it should be extraordinary. Boo. :(

I feel slightly ashamed giving The Cheesecake Factory a 4 rather than a 5. The only justification I can give to this is solely on an establishment comparative basis. I'm giving them a 4 our 5 because I have seen other Factory's of Cheese churn out some incredibly bites with exceptional service. Call me naive, but we all slightly have a basis to judge an establishment against itself. I believe anyone can go here and enjoy a delicious dinner with out busting your bank account. The food is really good. The service is pretty darn good as well (seems to a dip a bit when SUPER busy). The problem? I just hold them to a higher standard. I definitely suggest people to eat there. My additional one star to give may have gone to a different Cheesecake Factory though if, for whatever reason, they decided to build another one right next door. But please, do go there. Try some of that cheesecake that will blow your allotted calorie intake for the day. I promise you that part of it is much worth it.

Good service. Good food. Lots of variety, especially when it comes to the cheesecake options. Managers tend to always walk around and check on costumers. Always busy, especially on weekends. Expect a wait unless going early in the morning or late at night.

I am actually in shock that I have not written a review for you yet Factory of Cheesecake. You see we met years ago when you first opened. Everyone for some reason wanted you so badly they were waiting in line for HOURS. A friend decided to have her birthday at you and were willing to start the wait (even with reservations) for an hour. We arrived after they had been waiting, no joke, for an hour and a half and then we waited, again...no joke, another hour. We waited forever for ok food, crap service and an insane bill at the end. I swore I would not go back...until I did...reluctantly. No line...really tasty food and a crazy long menu full of tasty looking suggestions. Ok, warming up... I went back with my husband once and had another wonderful meal. After everything though the other night I met Mike. After working 14 hours I was exhausted and hungry and wanted something non-takeout like. So I called and met Mike who was beyond helpful and friendly. You know how most places you call for takeout make you regret calling. I was in shock as to how easy it was. Then I went to pick it up and Mike brought it to my car with a smile. I got home and everything was packed up perfectly - they gave us tons of extra bread and butter, napkins etc which a lot of places don't do even when you beg them.

I used to be in hog heaven when it came to going to Portland and stopping here to get the cashew chicken, and some cheesecake! My guy tried to warn me that the food has really gone down hill, but I was dreaming of the cashew chicken! We stopped in yesterday and he was right! The rice was drowning in sauce, and the flavor was just not as heavenly as it used to be. It wasn't bad, but it surely does not have me begging for more! I will most likely either come back just for drinks and cheesecake but that is about it because the food is about average for the price, and I am a foodie who would rather have a good meal while I am in Portland!

My Wife and I had the herb crusted salmon salad, it was the worst salmon i have ever had. It appeared to be some farm raised bland no flavor variety. Would not recommend that dish. The service was very good, and quick even though it was very busy the day after Valentines. Overall pretty disappointed for waiting an hour and 40 minutes for really bad salmon. Ultimate margaritas were very good though! Seating arrangements led me to feel a little like a sardine. We were in s hurry to make a 9:15 movie so the fast service was appreciated, although in hindsight it now appears we were being rushed, likely to increase turnover on tables. Will not go back if spending my own money!

I can't comment on the food cause I only ordered cheesecake but I am not impressed. The cheesecake was good, but not $9 good. I'm expecting a pretty big wow factor when I pay so much for a dessert. Maybe its just not for me, but I don't feel like I would ever go back.

Had the combo shrimp scampi and steak medallions for $19. So first off the meal itself did not fill me up but the mashed potatoes that came with it did. They weren't anything special but after eating a bit of it I just couldn't eat anymore. The steak and the shrimp however were amazing. The steak I had medium rare and it was amazing, great seasoning, perfectly balanced, and properly cooked. Then the sauce just pushed it over the edge and made it divine, I wish I had more of it. Then the scampi was also pretty amazing. The sauce it came with however was a little too overpowering, but when lightly applied to the shrimp it provided a good balance of flavor, I also wish I had more shrimp to eat, but between the two the steak would be the definite winner. If you want just the steak it was called Diane's steak. I also don't feel like they gave enough food for the money I paid but company meal, so I can't complain too much. Ambience was good, service was good, only down side was the last persons dish didn't come out till about 15 minutes later. They did end up giving the meal for free though along with a free soup or salad, would have been nice if they gave a free cheesecake slice though. Otherwise it was a great experience. P.S. - I'm not a fan of mashed potatoes, otherwise someone else probably would have enjoyed it.

For having so many choices (an immediate turn off to me), their food was pretty good! Our server prefaced our ordering with a warning of the portion sizes, which I have never experienced elsewhere. She was right, so I appreciated her taking the time to tell us. My friend got a lunch salad, and it was still easily two meals. Why everything (including the space and menu) is so enormous is beyond me. Finished with Adam's cheesecake (can't remember exact name---but know there was peanut butter!), and it rocked. A little creeped out that they are called the Cheesecake Factory, and don't make the cakes there. Had chosen a different slice originally, and server said it "just came off the truck and is still frozen", so chose Adam's as my second pick. I know they are a chain, but WHAT? This being the case, I only gave it a 3-star rating, but it was a decent experience.

Was told it was a factory. Definitely lied to. There is an angry chef with a microphone in the kitchen.

I know it's silly...but I normally LOVE the Cheesecake factory. The Menu is literally 25 pages long, it has something for everyone, it is tasteful, it is good quick food, and it is healthy. So when I was in town for a race, it felt like a safe choice to choose here to eat to carbo load for my race. We asked to be seated outside in the shade, we were seated at a table in the full sun and the hostess told us we could move the umbrellas however we wanted. To make matters worse, the lady at the table next to us had a loose dog! How is that allowed? So we have the dog running around, we have the sun in our eyes, but the waiter came quick and we thought okay we're hungry! But this should have been a sign! I was happy that I could get my standard race meal, Penne Pasta, Grilled Chicken, and Marinara, almost exact, I just had to order it without the basil butter and oil. The waiter confirmed my order, I was happy. The order came out wrong. First, I hate sending food back; ever since the movies "waiting" and "still waiting" came out it scares me enough to eat out and then to send it back?!? Well it had to go, and so I sat, and my food came, and this time it came out right. (?) Secondly, the waiter that was waiting on us we had to ask him to speak up 4 times.....I'm not hard of hearing and it wasn't loud; we were sitting on the patio. It just felt like he was doing it to be annoying. It wasn't the best experience I've had at the Cheesecake Factory, maybe it was the location.

I got a referred by a homeless man in Seattle. My wife and I have eaten at three different cheesecake factories in three different states. They food and serves was first-rate. They get really busy during dinner but worth the wait. The menu is very extensive and will make anyone happy. My favorite is the Steak Diane and my wife's is the Four Cheese Pasta with chicken. We try to make it out a few times a year. I haven't had the cheesecake but I heard it was wonderful!

For the quality of the food it should be priced the same as an Applebee's, while the feel of the place is like an Olive Garden and they are known for their desserts, I just wasn't as impressed. I getting spoilied by the more trendy restaurants of downtown Portland, I guess. We didn't even bother opening the menu. We ordered everything from the the Skinny menu, where everything is under 540 calories. I can't imagine what the meals in the regular menu have. We didn't try any dessert because we were full. The waiter was nice. Oh and they ran out of clean butter knives and we had to use the bread to get the butter out of the wrap. Maybe it is better if you don't go on a weekend.

The Cheesecake Factory in Tigard is located at the Washington Square shopping mall. However, despite its shopping mall location The Cheesecake Factory manages to maintain a separate identity. You can but you don't have to enter and exit The Cheesecake Factory via the mall. Another nice thing about The Cheesecake Factory is that it's open much later than most of its shopping mall neighbors. While most stores on the mall are closing up shop around 9 PM The Cheesecake Factory is open until 11 PM on weekdays, midnight on Saturdays, and 10 PM on Sundays. If you're burnt out on mall shopping then The Cheesecake Factory is a great place to relax and mellow out. The décor of this restaurant is fantastic. High ceilings, beautiful pastel colors, and brilliant lighting. The volume of business at The Cheesecake Factory is phenomenal. I've yet to visit The Cheesecake Factory when there hasn't been at least a fifteen to a half hour wait for a table. The service is hurried but attentive and efficient. My major gripe about The Cheesecake Factory is that the tables are embarrassingly close to each other. On our last visit I could tell you everything the girls next to us were talking about. The girls accidentally bumped into us and we accidentally sent a spoon careening over on to their table. Now that's a little too close for comfort! The menu is huge and features salads, pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, pastas, and full gourmet dinners. The prices are fair. You can easily have a full dinner at The Cheesecake Factory for around $11-$20. On our visit we sampled a Cajun Burger, a Barbecue Burger, and the "Original" cheesecake. The burgers cost about $11.95 and came with a salad or fries. The burgers were small and rather lacking in flavor. The accompanying fries were equally tasteless. The "Original" cheesecake was over-sweet and had a minimal crust. With a name like The Cheesecake Factory you would expect a killer dessert. However, our cheesecake looked and tasted like the grocery store mass produced variety. If I have to wait a long time for something then I expect a stellar performance. For me The Cheesecake Factory put on an act that was very much sub-par. One star for the décor and one star for the fact that The Cheesecake Factory does indeed make one Hell of a good Long Island Iced Tea.

The other night we came here for my brothers birthday and it's really quite good. I always go simple when at a new restaurant so I just got a burger with green salad on the side. The salads dressing was a little heavy but the burger was pretty good. After dinner we both bought to slices of cheesecake mine Apple streusel which was so good OMG! It's like carmel and apples and the tartness of the cheesecake was so yummy.

Who would've guessed that this place, a chain, holds a beer place in my heart. While the food was less than memorable, the bartenders kept giving me tastings of sweet, sweet beer. Mmmm. And that's when I first laid lips on Oregon honey beer. Excellent service at the bar. Plenty of food left over, but I sure wished they could send me off with growlers of their Hood River Ales, Deschutes and others...

You know why I don't have very many one-star reviews? Because I like to avoid places that suck. Unfortunately, I have friends who don't share this aversion. When visiting from out of town, they'll make the Cheesecake Factory a destination, right alongside the outlet stores (which don't suck, really, I'm just saying it's a package deal). I used to not be a jerk and just go, just to spend time with my people, but I cannot do it anymore. I had to break it to them. There are so sososo many good places to eat in Portland. SO MANY. The Cheesecake Factory is not one of them. The meat products have the texture of soggy sawdust mixed with wax. The cheesecake weirdly has the same texture. Everything comes with an extra helping of clogged arteries with none of the pesky flavor that gets in the way of a really unsatisfying meal. It's not exactly false advertising. The cheesecake really does taste like it was made in a factory. Maybe a Jell-O factory. Maybe Dr. Scholl's. It's not the fault of the people who work here, either. I recognize that. Also, the space is huge and built for big gatherings and family-friendly, etc. Bully. Were there not so many 5-star reviews of this place, I might be more inclined to give it a two just for kitsch. But this food is gross, man. Hey, at least it's expensive.

Every thing in their minue is perfect. I recommend Macaroni and cheese balls--buffalo chicken plats for appetizer. Chicken piccata--Louisiana chicken pasta--Cajun jambalaya pasta--four cheese pasta as a main order.

Normally I'm a bit more forgiving, but this visit was a bit off. We came in to treat ourselves for a very hard working week. Came in early afternoon, and waited 15 minutes, not bad for CCF. While our server was on top of things at first, what seemed to be a shift change caused some problems. Not all our food came out on time or together for that matter. The shift manager apologized, but that was about it. Once finished, we sat, for a while, till we finally got our server again. She was asked to cover a shift for someone else and was trying her best to close out her current tables and cover another area across the restaurant. While not her fault, it was not the best experience especially for how much we paid. We even got dessert to go. While in enjoy most of the menu, the place is rarely worth the long waits in addition to the expense. If there was another location in town it might help.

What a place. What a place. Or should I say palace? The high pillars and Greek inspired paintings really make this a special treat. The wood work and tiling in the restaurant too leave you feeling well taken care of. While the food accompanies the most important part of your visit, along with your company, everyone will be sure to enjoy. The food combinations and varieties are near perfection. Some of my personal favorites would have to be their salads (yes, any of them) and the bang-bang-chicken and shrimp! And the prices are fair! I really don't have any complaints here. Except the servers, they're always so awkward to me...it's a busy restaurant, anytime that I go, I just wish they could find a balance in the crew to make it a perfect experience. Thank goodness for wonderful company in my parties. ;-)

I only leave one star reviews for dishonest businesses or absolutely horrible experiences - this one is for the latter. I've been to this Cheesecake factory location a few times, and have been underwhelmed each time. But my visit last night takes the cake, no pun intended. Before I get to last night, I've been to quite a number of Cheesecake factory locations and this one by far is the worst I've been to. For starters, they seem to have somehow packed in way more seats than they should have - you're literally bumping elbows with the people sitting next to you. Not pleasant. Next, in my opinion, the food at this location is not as good as the other CF's I've visited. So last night, I happen to be close to this location and for some reason decide to stop here for a meal. I go up to the reception area, told that it's a 10-15 minute wait, say that's fine, handed a pager, and I have a seat and wait. Pager goes off, ushered over to my table (which is about the right size for an elf) yet the table hasn't even been cleaned yet. So I patiently wait until it's cleaned and sit down. No menu, so as soon as my server comes over, I kindly ask for a menu. She then has the audacity to ask me where I came from and did I come from up-front - clearly implying by her words and tone that I had somehow cut in front of everyone else waiting and just plopped down at this table. I'm thinking really? did this person really just ask me that question? Given the elbow to elbow seating, I waited for the people sitting next to me to leave before I spoke to my server - as I didn't want to embarrass her in front of those people. Yeah, I had a little more respect for her then she had for me. So the people next to me leave, and I tell her how inappropriate it was to tell a customer that, clearly implying they're some dishonest schmuck who can't wait in a line. She goes on to say something along the lines of "well we have a problem with that" - people just sitting down apparently. And how that's my problem, I've yet to understand. Total lack of accountability and I think my telling her this sailed right over her head. If this location has a problem with people sitting down at tables, perhaps they should look into fixing their seating issues, but treating customers like criminals is totally inexcusable. Needless to say I won't be going back to this establishment again. Even despite this unfortunate event, this particular Cheesecake factory isn't worth waiting in line 30 seconds for. PS: The manager, at least it seemed to be the manager, was going from table to table like some Disneyland automaton asking each person the exact same canned question if they were enjoying their "experience" or something along those lines - with as much genuine interest as some Washington DC politician. He didn't even seem to pause long enough to hear someone's answer :) Priceless. No wonder this place is running like it is.

The shrimp scampi with steak Dianne combination doesn't come with pasta. So, there's 3 small steaks on your plate with 3 breaded fried shrimp Mash potatoes.

Who doesn't like this place? I've been many times but I think on the spendy side, especially if you get booze. DH ordered a couple of Nkasi's and a burger. I had the SkinnyLiciousâ„¢ Shrimp Summer Rolls that were Delicate Rice Paper Rolled Around Asparagus, Shitake Mushrooms, Carrots, Rice Noodles, Green Onion, Cilantro and Shrimp - Served Chilled and an order of the Ahi Carpaccio Thin Slices of Raw Ahi Tuna, Wasabi Pesto which was pretty interesting to say the least. Not quite what I was expecting. The salad rolls came on these little puffy rice noodly things that, I'm sure were Ok to eat but they were messy- almost like long rice crispies. I think this place is complete fluff. In other words is great for the ambiance and area, but way over sold and the value isn't good here you are getting way less than what you're paying for. That tuna stuff I had? It was 12 bucks.. you could go broke off the appetizer menu alone. On the plus side, it was a great intimate place for me to have lunch with the DH.. had a some great conversation and this place allows you that. It does afford you that it's not so loud you can't hear yourself think.

Came in about 3:15 PM to dine @ this location- it was still very busy during that time frame. We were greeted promptly & received our beeper and were told we would have a 15 minute wait. We went to the restroom, came back out to sit in the waiting area and a hostess came over and directed us to an open table at the bar. Our wait time was then less than the 15 minute that was our estimated time! Anastasia was our server and she was a-tentative to our every need. Had the Louisiana Chicken Pasta (didn't realize it was a "bow tie"pasta ) and when it came; I asked to have it with the fettuccini pasta and they made that accommodation happen for me. When they brought it out, placed in on the table: the portion size was HUGE and a very generous amount of the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breasts. In our party of 3- We also ordered the Catfish which was amazing and the Chicken Chipotle Pasta which had wonderful flavor and tasty. It's served a top a Penne Pasta. We ended our meal with the fabulous White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake that is just Devine! Pricey, but great meal and great service. Treat yourself to the Cheesecake Factory when you can afford it. It's a wonderful experience and the wide variety they offer a unique and colorful menu to choose from!

I came here with my family last night for dinner, there were 9 of us. It has been at least 2 years since I have been here. We ordered a few apps for the table. I had strawberry lemonade-great & the mac and cheese burger-fine. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake to go. My family overall seemed to enjoy their food. They were out of several desserts. The service was as expected. This was a really difficult restaurant for a group. It was crowded, loud and the restaurant was dark. Some of my family were using cell phones to light up the menus. This was a problem. With the crowds and wait times, I don't get the hype. Everything was just ok, ambiance below average.

NEVER EVER EVER, I mean NEVER disappointed! Came here for dinner last week. However, I've been here lots. It was a Monday so we were sat right away. Just like every other Cheesecake Factory, the interior is dark and romantic. Perhaps a little too dark. Thankfully the servers are flying about in all white, which makes them easy to see. LOL. Had a really great margarita. Later had a yummy Lemon Drop. The menu is way tooo diverse and intimidating to navigate. Over the last few years they tend to change it frequently. So, I tend to just ask the server to find the page of the type of food I feel like having. It was salad night for me. This salad was the BEST I have ever ordered at any restaurant, EVER. The LUAU Salad. I love it when the lettuce isn't the main ingredient, but merely part of the whole! This salad was loaded with tons of veggies, chicken, and mango. Stacked on top are two GIANT wontons that cover the whole top. The salad was way too big for me. ( I don't mind) This meant I had the rest for breakfast. Pretty good as leftovers!!!!!!! The only thing I would recommend is that the servers not bring out bread that appears to have been SAT on!!!!! Not very pretty!!!! Love me this place!!!!!!

I don't understand the appeal of Cheesecake Factory. This location is always jam-packed, so the wait for a table is frequently ridiculously long. The menu is the restaurant equivalent of War And Peace in length. I mean, it has advertisements for other businesses, like a magazine. Once you finally make a decision on your meal, the portions come and are massive. I mean MASSIVE, to the point of complete gluttony. The food itself is just ok. With all of the amazing choices available in the Portland area that are fresh, local, independent, reasonably priced, and delicious, TCF is on the bottom of my list of choices for eating out. On the positive: the service is very good. The few times I've been there. The servers have been prompt, attentive, knowledgable of the massive menu, and courteous. This is a typical American corporate restaurant - feed the people massive amounts of food and then encourage them to eat MORE by offering a gigantic piece of cheesecake.

Usually I frown upon such an extensive menu because it tends to result in sloppy unfocused dishes. Such is not the case at the cheesecake factory. Everything is awesome - especially the cheesecake.

The name does not say it all!! Sure they have an almost endless list of fantastic cheese cakes that will all make you wish mom cooked like that. They also have a real menu of great food. They have chicken, seafood etc. Not just cheese cake! One big surprise was the Kobe Beef burger. Being a burger freak I had to get it and it was great. I finished that up with a Red Velvet Cheese Cake. Oh yea! That hit the spot!! I highly recommend this place. Be prepared to wait. I have never had less than a 45 minute wait.
