If you just want sugar, with a little flavor to go with it, go here. The donuts are decent, but the iced coffee is bad and the 'smoothies' (just ice, fruit flavor, and sugar) with put you into instant hyperglycemic shock. They were still in their 'grand opening' phase when i came in, so i'll forgive the fact that they were so disorganized that they couldn't manage to get two donuts and two cold drinks in less than seven minutes.

Sesame Donuts makes me happy. The people who work here are so nice and just seem happy to be serving you up some yummy donuts. They do both unique, special donuts (strawberry creme cheese, the Portland Creme (a spin on the Boston Creme), pumpkin flavored cake donutes, and the sesame donut - their namesake) as well as traditional donuts of all kinds. They are definitely worth dropping into if you are craving something yummy or if you need to pick up a whole box of a donuts for a work meeting, etc.

the donuts are really good, i come here every saturday with my daughters as they love the donuts and enjoy getting to talk a bit with the owner and the employees. the service is outstanding, the owner is a really friendly and open guy that you can tell enjoys talking with people and making everyone comfortable. the other employees are great too and it makes for a wonderful atmosphere. for a recommendation, i suggest the jelly filled, which is really light and fluffy for a jelly filled. the maple bar is also great and my daughters are huge fans of the frosted ones... tried a bit once and felt like it was 95% sugar, too sweet for me.

We usually love Sesame, however the new Tigard location is much less than stellar. The selection wasn't nearly as extensive it seemed as the Beaverton location, the counter person not nearly as engaging and then tonight, when they have clearly posted hours for Fri-Sat from 5am - midnight, at 1130pm they were pitch black and closed, obviously gone for at least a half hour, no sign of anyone. Not really a great way to get a new location off the ground. Guess we'll stick to daylight hours or get our sugar fix elsewhere.

We were in the area on vacation and needed donuts for breakfast, so we stopped here. Great stuff- the cake donuts were nice and crisp on the outside, just the way I like 'em. The coffee was good. The guy who helped us was very friendly, and the business was pleasant and clean. Good selection of flavors. If I have a donut craving and am in this area again, I'll be back!

In and out quickly. Super friendly and helpful staff. Their donuts are affordable and they taste great! No pretentiousness to be found here

With all the embellished, gourmet doughnut shops around, sometimes, I just want a good cake or old-fashioned doughnut without the fuss. Stopped by Sesame Donuts early on a Saturday morning before work to grab some for the staff, found that they had a large selection at a very affordable price--no $3 doughnuts here! My only disappointment was that I asked for an iced soy Almond Joy latte. First, I read it as Almond Roca instead of Almond Joy and I don't like coconut. Despite that error on my part, it was decent. However, it was hot and I saw the guy pour in milk from a gallon jug which is the opposite of what I had asked for but would've taken too long to have them remake it so I went along with it. It reminds me of a Dunkin' Donut or Heavenly Donuts but with a slightly better coffee options. Definitely will give them another chance.

I give them two stars because the girl behind the counter was super nice and helpful but the coffee and donuts were absolutely horrible. The coffee had a bitter aftertaste to go along with the oily bitterness of the nasty donuts. I brought some donuts home and everyone turned their noses up at them because they've had them before. I got the entire box to myself but after one donut and a couple bites of another I threw them in the dumpster. The coffee I choked down. It's a shame too because the shop and the donuts look nice but don't live up to their appearance. I truly miss Dunkin' Donuts :-(.

I love this place! There is no comparison anywhere else. Prices are great. Each donut tastes devine! The bread of each donut is always fresh, yummy, and melts in your mouth. Sugar donuts and cinnamon rolls are my favorite! Thank you for staying open late. Thank you for the friendly service! Thank you for the fresh taste!

Very good donuts! I got a box of a dozen and I wish I could have eaten them all. The blueberry crumble is so so delicious. The staff is very friendly and they make the donuts on site.

I was shocked when we went here over the weekend and not only did they have the cherry fritter, but they had banana, blueberry, and pineapple! We tried one of each and i could not be disappointed! Can't wait to go back!

These donuts were ok. I have been trying out donuts around this area cause my favorite is in Portland but I will take that extra drive for the yummy perfect donut without the funny grease taste on my first bite.

You wish they'd replicate the one off Beaverton-Hissldale highway, that one is awesome. But the model they are going with is open a bunch of outlets and use the BVT-Hillsdale as the kitchen...too...bad..the quality really suffers in the transportation. On McLoughlin in Milwaukie is the newest location, not sure if they are the same family or if they are franchising, but same deal....Ship in the donuts...again too bad...especially if you been to the original location and know what they taste like there....night and day difference. Nice folks behind the counters...But ultimately a convenience stop over an actual quality stop, meaning...I won't go out of my way to get to them, but if I'm driving by, then maybe.

The donuts here are alright. They keep the donuts out so they lose a lot of there freshness and they bake too much. You cannot see the kitchen so you don't know how fresh the donuts are until after you buy them. I don't think having meals is a good idea for donuts.

I'm really not a big pastry person. I'm all about the savory treats, but I do enjoy Sesame Donuts. Typically if I have a donut craving, it's because I'm a little under the weather.. Sometimes a little shock to my blood sugar is all it takes to jolt me back into the world of the living. This little donut shop sets me right everytime. It's not really a place you want to spend a lot of time as it is super spartan, almost sterile. But if you're like me and just need to pop in while in a general state of disheveledness, their employees will treat you just as kindly as everyone else and send you on your way in a jiffy. I like their donuts and even though the joint doesn't have the "just baked" smell (donuts not made on-site), the Portland Creme still tastes great to me. Another bonus? The prices are good and you don't have to stand in line for more than half an hour with a bunch of tourists only to be sneered at by a hipster when you get to the front.

I am writing in response to a previous poster saying Sesame Donuts carries gluten free donuts; they do not. So, if you're like me and get super excited that you can finally get a gluten free donut, be prepared to be disappointed. It did however smell amazing and the staff was very friendly and apologetic.

That chocolate donuts is amazing and the dough is really really good, overall it is the best in Portland

Some places you visit for quality, others for convenience. I've visited several Sesame Donuts in the surrounding area and this new location is fine. But, the most important thing to note is that the donuts are not made on site. They are shipped in from the Raleigh Hills location. So an automatic one star deduction right there. My interactions with the staff have always been fine. The store is conveniently located just off 217 and Highway 99. Would I go out of my way to visit? No. But if you aren't insisting on fresh from the fryer goodness, this is perfectly fine.

This is the same Sesame Donuts as the Beaverton location. The main difference to me is that it is literally up the street from where I live. Donut holes just a block away? Yes please. This location is smaller then the other but it works for me since I always get donuts to go anyway. And the store still has that brand new store opening smell too. Mmm. On a side note, I was sad to see that they have there hours posted as closing at 11 pm on weekdays and 12 am on Friday and Saturday. I generally find myself on a donut run during late night hours or perhaps on the way home from a bar. So I guess this location will do me no good for that.

Best holes in Tigard, and they make a solid old fashioned. Sure beats the ones you get at a grocery store.

Another reviewer wrote, and I totally agree, "People out here get so damn excited by that pink box. I just want to puke in it." OMFG... Sesame Donuts. Yay! I'd heard about this place, seen it on several "Best Of" lists but I live downtown & don't have a vehicle so... you know how that goes. Today I was in "my" Zipcar in Tigard waiting for Costco to open and I wanted coffee so I pull up some info. on the GPS and see the magic words "Sesame Donuts"... Oh Happy Day! I head right over. Great customer service: fast, friendly, attentive (It was all about me while I was at the counter!), and all with a smile. Nice looking donut selection. I order a few standards so I can see if they really know how to make a donut: old fashion, French cruller, & a Boston cream. I chatted w/, what turned out to be one of the owners, and was offered a complimentary sesame donuts. Damn! It was warm. Soft. Fluffy inside w/ just the right amount of crunch on the outside. I really enjoyed the sesame topping. Not too sweet, not too messy. Not a gut-bomb. Not oily. Amazing. I had every intention of sharing it w/ my roommate. Once I took the first bite that intention went right out the window. I ate the whole thing making yummy noises the whole time. I did make it home with the other donuts though. :) See, I really can share! Here's what roommate & I decided: * The French cruller was high, light, airy, not super wet & dense, not too sugary. Just frickin awesome! * The old fashion was even color on both sides, slight crisp/crunch to the outside, not oily, with a super light fluffy yummy inside. Oh man, PERFECT for dunking in coffee! * The Boston cream was good. Liked the yeast donut, light, airy, again the nice crunch on the outside, even coloring, not greasy, the filling had a nice flavor and there was just enough in the donut. My issue with Bostom cream donuts is the chocolate. You know, the product is great but the chocolate frosting, while better than others, is just cheap and, well, icky. Why can't anybody use a high quality chocolate ganache on their Boston creams??? Dear Sesame Donuts, for the glaze: bittersweet chocolate, chopped heavy cream light corn syrup teaspoon vanilla extract Need a taste tester? Email me, I'll rent a car & be right there! Promise!!

Good Stuff. All the donuts i tried were delicious, especially the sesame donut. The real treasure I found here were the Jalepeno and Cheese Bagels, give one a try. They also make a breakfast sandwich with them.

"Oh boy dough-nut holes". This is what one of my coworkers happens to say every week. I treat those that come into my department at work once a week with Sesame Dough-nuts, dough-nut holes. Everyone who comes in comment on how fresh and tasty they are and want to know where did you get these. If you pop in at 5am they may not be out of the van yet as they bring them over from the Raleigh Hills store but they are always fresh and for under $7, you get 60 holes that puts smiles on my coworkers faces.

These are tasty and easy to get to. They always taste pretty fresh, and the service is good. I enjoy the chocolate old fashions and the boston cream. Next time I think i will get a coffee drink as well!
