Today was my third and final trip to this donut shop. Today and twice before, the donuts were old and stale. Today i went in at 7am (you would think they would be fresh...right?) I noticed a donut i had never tried before...some daily special donut. Vanilla frosting with cinammon topping and stuffed with blueberry....the boy had about 20 or so of those kind to choose from he purposely picked through and found me the smallest one with the least amount of frosting!! And it was dry....i mentioned to my friend it tasted stale...and he took a bite and agreed. They had no maple cruellers, they had no maple old fashioned, so i ordered a maple bar. The maple color looked very strange...like some chocolate got mixed in, so it tasted weird and low and behold it was stale too. I went to say something to the young man workin there...but he was too busy doing something else. I caught the young lady's eye so she came over, but she hardly speaks any english. She tried to give me another donut which was nice of her, but i didnt want to eat another stale donut. I wanted to tell a manager that the donuts sucked even at 7am. They had to be from the day before...no way were they made that day. Ill never go back. Ill drive up to the place on cornell (8 miles away) to get freshly made product. Too bad.

Came here Mother's day morning to pick-up some donuts as a surprise - it had just opened and man the line was long! I've been here a couple times since and the service is efficient and usually fairly friendly. A little pricey for donuts, but in all honesty nothing compared to some of the places that are more famed or claim to be unique. Donuts are delicious here, never any complaints. I picked up a couple dozen for a meeting and although there was some outcry from me breaking our routine (I chose this place because of it's proximity to my morning commute) i had no complaints upon consumption. This place has Mediterranean food that I'd like to try at some point in time.

Why does it take 25 minutes to make 2 sandwiches and a bagel?.... I give it 2 stars because the donuts are good and food was ok. Our food was cold by the time we got it though.

We finally got a donut shop near our house! This is good news for my daughter's cravings, but bad news for both of our waistlines. Sesame Donuts is darn good. This one is newly opened on the corner of Scholls Ferry and N. Dakota. It's conveniently right next door to a Starbucks. It's in the small strip mall next to McDonalds and near Southridge High School and Conestoga Middle School. This one is doubly great because the owners are as sweet as the donuts AND they offer several varieties of fresh baklava. Delicious stuff for very reasonable prices.

The donuts here are the best I've EVER had! Always non-greasy, no heartburn to follow. When my dad passed away, I didn't have the energy to make my authentic baklava for the mercy meal. Sesame Donuts to the rescue! I purchased two large trays of pistachio baklava. It was delicious and pleased all who partook. They even let me borrow the large baking trays for easy transport. THANK YOU, Sesame Donuts!

The donuts are pretty good. They taste much better to me than Voo Doo donuts. Service can be slow at times if you come in there and there is a small line. The employees look like they take their time and aren't in any rush if there is. Parking is pretty abundant and the place is pretty easy to get to.

I don't have a single complaint about this place. The doughnuts here are so good. The buttermilk bar is so moist and delicious!! The pumpkin spice doughnut could have a little more spice but that's my preference. I was worried about the comments of the rude workers but have not encountered that at all. In fact when I asked about getting one of the large birthday doughnuts and asked if it could be a pumpkin doughnut, they were super helpful and the chef even came out and said while they can't do the doughnut in pumpkin for one that large, they could make us a pumpkin spice frosting! Honestly these are some of the best doughnuts I've ever had (maybe I'm sheltered) and we will continue to come here again and again!

0 stars if I had to... It's a mix of taste of lebanon and donuts. Go here if you like your donuts tasting like spoiled meat.

I don't like doing this but I had to take away one star after trying their shawarma a few more times. Ultimately, I was really disappointed with the quality and the quantity of the wrap. The last time I ordered it I ordered the large one (whatever that means) it was jokingly small - like about 2" wide and about 8-9" long with about 3-4 little pieces of bone dry meat, hardly any pickle, sauce or other veggies and the naan/wrap was crunchy and tasteless. I eyed my hubby's (wise choice) leb burger and wished that I hadn't ordered the shawarma. I also wished I had been a bit more cautious with the stars. I hope they address the issues with the portion/price of what must be one of the most commonly ordered dishes in a Lebanese restaurant. .

I had high hopes for a great donuts shop nearby and National Donut Day seemed like a great day to check it out. I'm afraid my first time there doesn't make me want to return. At $13 for a dozen it's on the high end of donut pricing around here and that doesn't include what they consider fancy. Their fancy in some cases are normal size donuts at other shops, including Safeway. In my mix this morning was probably the shortest cinnamon twist I've ever had, which was also chewing in texture like it was a day old. The bismark was filled in one single quarter of the donut with a filling that was more like vanilla pudding than custard. I haven't gotten reviews from the kids yet, but I don't plan on returning. Sorry Sesame.

The donuts are good. However, the woman behind the counter was rude. She rolled her eyes when I ordered one donut the. Rudely asked how many I was planning to order when I selected a second one. Then after she swiped my card and I had paid and turned to sit with my son, she said for me to hold on to make sure that I had $5 on my credit card to go through. She was rude and made me feel as if I shouldn't be there.

The wait for the shawarma is long but worth it. Very pleased to see a full menu of Armenian, Lebanese and Greek meals and desserts - all halal - as well as bagel sandwiches, smoothies and all the donuts you could possibly want.

Donuts are the best here! Friendly service. We tried the food once (falafel and lamb gyro)... Once is enough for me. I'm a fan of gyros and unfortunately, they failed to impress me in that arena. The pistachio baklava are hit and miss. They rotate the baklava flavor weekly. The size of the baklava has greatly decreased since the first few weeks during grand opening (shocker!)... It's pretty convenient to have Starbucks next door since the treats over there are much more expensive when I'm craving for a small quick treat for my sweet tooth.

This place is great! I had the falafel sandwich that was delicious! The chef was very generous about the amount of falafels (5 or 6, when in the picture it only shows 3). The falafels were very crispy and tasty. I would have it again and my mom tried mine and she said she would order it next time! She had the lamb and she said it was good too :)

The Best Donuts in Tigard! All of the Sesame Donut shops are great. HOWEVER, $13 for a dozen is a bit steep for fried dough. (You could deep-fry a dirt clod, and it would taste good.) So Come on, Sesame! At least lower your prices (and reduce the day-olds) after 4pm.

I came in to order a donut cake. My friends often order a donut cake from the Sesame Donuts on 6 corners, but this location was more convenient. The woman who placed my order I don't think has ever taken an order for one of these before and hadn't heard of what I was requesting. The other location often times will do a layered donut cake with some form of cream in the middle, so that's what I asked for. Turns out, this location just made two donut cakes and layered the filling in the middle instead of cutting just one donut cake in half. Because of this miscommunication, they ended up charging me for two cakes plus $1-2 extra for the filling. I didn't get a chance to try the cake, but apparently it was very dense and very good. I would not recommend ordering a donut cake from this location - go the extra few miles down Scholls and order from the 6 corners location instead.

Came into this location because other reviewers said they have maple bacon donuts here- not true. We were told by the clerk that they make them "sometimes," no set day or time. We ended up purchasing two donuts and they were rock hard and completely dried out. What a disappointment. THROW AWAY the old donuts, it's not that difficult! This was our first time here, and we will not be back. We will drive over to Voo Doo where they never run out of maple bacon and they are always freshly made.

Came across this spot by accident on the way to meeting up with friends so I Yelped it to see if it was something I'd like to try. The first thing that caught my eye was the halal bacon maple bar. I read a review that said it was better than Voodoo. Boy, was he right! They cooked the bacon and gave it to me fresh. The girl who works there is the sweetest thing. She was very helpful and even offered to give me a donut hole for free so I can try it. I'm so glad I found this donut shop.

I was so excited to find Tiilamook ice cream so close to the relative we were visiting! We walked in and it was empty. I don't want to exaggerate, but it felt like at least 5 minutes b4 someone came out from the back to help us. Then he passed us on to someone else to take our order after he had already. She asked us what we wanted, we told her. She asked another 2x. The ice cream was really good, but the shakes had too much milk so all you could taste was milk. Service was slow and inefficient which I could understand if someone was in training, but it just "FELT" like a 30 minute adventure for 2 shakes and a couple scoops of ice cream. Donuts looked amazing, but we didn't try any. Seemed clean. Really just service and staff training seemed "off".

While waiting at the Providence Urgent Care I saw Sesame Donuts across the street. After I got my daughter checked in & in waiting room I ran over to pick up a few donuts since we hadn't eaten due to an accident. The shop was cute & inviting, the donuts look good from behind the counter. I bought 3 an old fashioned glazed, a choco covered, a cinn. Crunch...I took a bite as I left the donut was stiff... I realized it was stale right away... I walked back to urgent care & gave my very distressed daughter the old fashion, her favorite. Her's was very stiff & stake she said. I pulled out the choco covered... Sadly it too was STALE. I think the bags were adorable the guy was nice but the donuts were awful

I REALLY want to like this place because it's a local coffee shop. (There's a Starbucks on almost every other street in this area ugh). However, I've given it a few tries, and it's just not up to par. Every time I come in the employees don't know the menu. It takes a while to order, as well as to actually get your order. The food is great. Although, every time I order I get the same thing and the price is never the same since the employees don't really know what's going on.

  • Rian A.

As a donut shop, their donuts are very good. Their donut holes are also very good. Coffee isn't too bad either. I don't worry about the "Time" to make sandwiches as many people complain on here about. It's a Donut shop for one, not a full serve Deli.

This is a review of the "Taste of Lebanon" side of Sesame Donuts. I went here for lunch with two friends, and the first issue was the two employees that were working, took 15 minutes to take our three orders: neither of them knew their menu, nor could they communicate to each other what exactly we were ordering (which was straight off of the menu...) The food: I think...all canned? The baba ghanoush had no texture or flavor, and was almost slimy it seemed so processed. I ordered the beef shawarma plate, and it came on a bed of pickles and tomatoes, rather than basmati rice like every other place from which I've ordered that dish. The tahini sauce was bland. Pita was cold, hard, and seemed to be taken out of a plastic bag and thrown on our plate (most Lebanese restaurants make it fresh, and bring it to you throughout the course of your meal.) I would say the tabouleh was the best part of the entire plate... Come here for the donuts, but drive up the street to Oasis Restaurant for real, delicious Lebanese cuisine.

This place sells Middle Eastern food, but I haven't tried any. This is about the donuts: they are awesome. I have hit this place on my way into work and late night on the weekends. Huge selection of donuts and ones I can't find other places. Love the coconut cream and the Portland creme. So good. Best place around for donuts- way better than Krispy Kreme in my opinion.

This Sesame Donuts opened about a month or so ago. It is in the same spot that pasta pronto was in. It's only about a mile and a half from my house. So psyched! I have been complaining for a long time that there are no donut shops near where I live. I have been to their location on Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy and have always like their donuts. Now I can get my donuts on! I will say they are a bit pricey. $12.99 for a dozen. I don't buy donuts that often so maybe it's not pricey, just seems like it to me. They are so yummy though! They also, serve some Mediterranean food here. Kind of weird in a donut shop I thought. The left side of the menu board has a few selections. Anyways, I will probably try some and update my review of that later.

It's an interesting mix, Shawarma and (sometimes) donuts for dessert. The flavors of the main dishes are well combined, soft texture of the bread, tangy pickles and spicy meat with humus or babaganoush as a side (they offer fries as well but I honestly wasn't sure what to do with them). I tried a very sweet Lebanese soda import as well that was very tasty! But the donuts are incredible, my favorite being the vanilla frosting stuffed one, it tastes so light! My boyfriend actually suggested a peanut butter frosting filled one and they made it the next time we came in, it was crazy good! Overall the food is great, the owners are nice and the location is very convenient! Worth a try.
