I came here a few weeks ago in need of a quick party platter of sorts. I was greeted by a lady at the counter. She appeared to be the manager or shift leader or something. She was very nice. I explained to her I was in need of something pretty quick. I was on my way to a finger food function, and needed enough for about 6 people. She was very helpful. From my input she recommended 5 burritos halved with sides of beans, rice, salsa, and chips. Probably slightly pricey at $45, this included a beer I drank while I waited. I would give this place a SOLID FIVE stars for service and aesthetics. For me, those two qualities are VERY important. Two stars in the RED For taste and food quality. I know I shouldn't expect the best in 15 minutes or less. Perhaps those selling the food should know never to sacrifice one thing for another. The tomatoes were VERY soggy, squishy. Not Fresh. The meat on the burritos was just plain cold once I arrived to my destination, which was only 5 minutes away. Sadly every Baja Fresh fails to impress me with their food, whether I'm in a hurry or not. :(

We were in the area, and hungry. Not bad, it's a chain so you expect this to be the same at every location, and it was. Decent food, nice salsa bar. I'd go again if I was near by and hungry. It seemed very clean, which is reassuring when you eat at a new place. Friendly staff.

first off that slogan needs to go. food most definitely can be made microwave fast, I do it everyday. anyways this review its about the food. I order the steak fajitas sometimes and every time the steak was stringy and tough. almost unedible because the crappiness of the quality of meat. the guac had avocado peels in it almost every time I get it. the taste is just "eh" nothing great. your way better off making your own. I've had fish tacos before, there tortilla soup and the so called enchiladas lol. It's just bland and the fish was way over cooked. maybe im just spoiled being from the southwest and having real Mexican American food. but please buy better cuts of meat at the least if you want 3 stars. plus prices are way too high for what you get.

Good food, but terrible service. Went to go order, and the lady in front of me got a punch card, I ordered and I received no punch card, ok? I wait for my food, and as the lady behind me orders, she gets a punch card. I'm like ok? Later I go back to get my food, then I go order (3 more meals) for my brothers, and no punch card.... I had to finally ask for one. I ordered 5 meals total, and how many stamps did she give me? two. Ridiculous service. Will never go back to this location.

I won't lie I do like me some Baja Fresh now and then. I love the salsa bar where I can go nuts on extra cilantro, limes and that tasty salsa carbonero they have. The tacos are also good and the burritos not half bad. I do wish they had better quality and sourcing like Chipotle but if I need a quick taco fix this hits the spot. The staff was nice here, they bring the meal to your table which can be outside in the dog friendly zone.

Always good reliable food here. I usually phone in my order so when I get here it's ready!

Disorganized, unfriendly and bad food. Some chains are good some chains are 2 chains. This location is a too bad Baja Fresh Chain. Simple request present a warm meal in a decent time and be pleasant when dealing with the customer. This location failed all the way. Do take your kids here and go to the one on Scholls Ferry in Beaverton.

When I first went in I thought the prices seemed pretty high, but the serving sizes are huge for the price. Service was good, despite the fact that "fresh food can't be made microwave fast." I didn't care for the food, but my friend really liked it. The guacamole had kind of a slimy texture. Strangely, I SWEAR I saw Bill Murray coming in as I left.

Absolutely filthy location. Entry/Restaurant smells terrible like bleach water, BO and sour beans (zero ventilation). Door handles are slimy. Soda machine is sticky. Fixtures are outdated, lighting is poor. My burrito was wrapped TERRIBLY, watery beans, and it was cold upon arrival. I like Baja Fresh but this location is pretty terrible...

I have an addiction to the tacos, steak carnitas or crispy ono fish. The food is consistent and tasty especially when i don't want to cook dinner. The only thing is the employees sometimes don't seem very happy. But they make a good taco!

I have a lot of love for this Baja Fresh. We stop in once a twice or month because they have some great coupons and delicious food. I am a huge fan of the diablo burrito which has a lovely chipotle sauce and is in general, gigantic. They make a good chicken taco too. I have to say the salsa Baja is one of my favorite salsas of all time and the staff at this location is always so kinda and attentive.

You may cry that since it's a chain it must be all the same, but it really depends on how well the management is, this location seems to be on top of everything Compared to other locations. Food tasted fresh, dining area was clean as with the salsa bar and soda fountain. Each location has it's own management and cooks people even interior design So it's not always the same! Is it authentic Mexican? No. If you want that you need to go to Mexico for that folks. But for a decent taco with 100% meat (get it baja style) or burrito it's not bad here. Nice salsa bar with lots of choices.

I dunno, I've been to better locations to get a burrito. I don't know what was up on this day but the vibe just wasn't happening here. I don't think I seen any of the staff members smile, not even once. I ordered a burrito which was decent, but still. I eat for experience, surroundings, fun, etc etc. I guess I shouldn't have came to a chain establishment for that but then again, why not? Why do chain establishments survive on mediocre service? Because of a name? It doesn't make sense to me. I think it comes down to the service, employees, atmosphere, ingredients, and price, no matter who you are. I dunno, maybe I should just stop having faith in places like these, but then again I go to other locations and I feel like I'm in a whole other world. Consistency guys!!! Super important and cant stress this enough with any franchise. You can buy one, but you cant "MAKE" one! Ehhh, I'll pass on this location in the future, but you make up your own mind. I get way more for $8 less than 4 miles away. Just my opinion.

I'm no traductor español increíble, but I do know una cosa o dos. Por ejemplo -- doesn't the word "Baja" literally mean below or reduction -- as in a drop or fall? So team marketing genius decided to name a restaurant "reduction of freshness," or "less than fresh?" Well, I can't say you didn't warn me. (ok, ok, so maybe I'm putting words into your mouth -- but it's better than the comida you put in mine.) Stick with the bean & cheese with unlimited chips. The attempt on a mahi mahi taco was muy triste.

I am a big fan of Baja Fresh as an alternative to many other fast food options. The food is always pretty good and consistent, and I have never had much of a wait here. I would not recommend ordering any items with Shrimp. They had a shrimp promotion going when I went there, and you paid the same price as usual but got 12 shrimp in any burrito. This was still a pretty minimal amount of meat and I would not recommend it. I will stick with the steak from here on out.

I had never eaten at a Baja Fresh before this visit. I had thought it was fast-food Mexican in the vein of Taco Bell. Instead, it's somewhere closer to restaurant-quality, just with a fast-food feel. On this day, I had some low-calorie chicken taco special they were running for the summer, with sides of rice and black beans, along with a small basket of chips. The salsa bar variety was fairly decent. Their hot flavors mainly just tasted of "hot" while the medium varieties had some actual textures and flavors. The tacos were good, as were the sides, but all in all it was a bit pricier than it should've been. This was good in a "we have to eat somewhere now" type of pinch, but not a place I expect to find myself again on my own volition.

I find that since I gave the good review to the Baja Fresh that deserved it, I might just as well fill you in on the other two that kinda suck. So, this is one of the tow where, no matter how easy it might be, if you change the slightest thing from the way the item is originally described on the menu, they WILL screw it up. Nachos.... with only cheese & meat. No beans, no Pico, Sour Cream & Guacamole on the side. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they screwed it up 3 FREAKIN' TIMES...... IN ONE VISIT. Each time before leaving with my take-out, I would look at it, & each time it was wrong. Was I offered compensation? NO, Was I even offered an apology? NO. As a matter of fact, the young girl behind the counter offered my messed up nachos to a young man she was flirting with (instead of getting my F*%#@*G order right) for no charge! meanwhile, i wait, & wait, & wait......... & still leave with a messed up order. Ummm, yeah, I'm a little angry with them.

Yuggh. Hard to eat there anymore. Same old venue just now with shrimp and langostinos. My langostino burrito was awful and the last shrimp burrito I had I threw it up. Something in their food I just can't tolerate. Their asada is always too dry and chewy. I think I have eaten my last meal there. Nothing like the California Mex it is based on or what they call the "La Salsa Model" from Southern California. La Salsa is still far better than Baja Fresh and La Salsa has slipped into mediocrity for that is not saying much for Baja Flesh.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
