The pulled pork sandwich and the bacon cheese burger (I forget the name on the menu) were good, but not great.

When I went in, we waited 5 minutes and then we were finally seated. Yet there was 8 open tables. Once seated, a bus boy offered to clean our table, in doing so made it dirtier. I then waiting 20 minutes for a starter which wasn't that good. When we got the food it was good but I found a hair in my burger. Overall not a very good restaurant.

No food yet 30 minutes after ordering. Had to ask for our drinks twice. Who knows how the food will be, but stay away. Service is just too slooooow.

Food was good but service is slooooowww. Waiter was fine but it took a long time for food to arrive and they were not very busy (3PM).

This restaurant is absolutely pathetic. We were seated promptly, but that is all we got. After waiting over 10 minutes, we didn't even get acknowledged by a staff member. There were at least 3-4 employees who looked at us, but contented to have a personal conversation next to the soda machine. Needless to say, we walked out. After seeing we were't worth their time of day, I can honestly say they aren't worth your time of day.

I was a little agitated when they seated a person that entered after me. I was shocked when they tried to do it again! I had to stop the hostess and say, "excuse me, but I've been waiting here for 5 minutes". After finally being seated, I waited fun an uncomfortably long time without even being greeted or offered some water or a drink, I got up and left. I am now next door at the Mexican restaurant where within 5 minutes I was enjoying a Margarita, chips and Salsa while I waited for my order. BTW I'm African American ..Hmmmmmm

Do not go here. After ordering, very very slow receiving our meal. Water was never refilled, couldn't get my check after done eating. Food was just so- so, and very expensive for the cost. Staff not very friendly. Stay away...

Was excited to eat here, it looks good, has a pretty decent menu (both food and beer), but once the food came, it was not good. I had the Brahma Bull burger and it tasted like it was from a forty year old sacred cow, tough, dry and blah. The say they were voted "Oregon's Best Burger" by the Oregon Restaurant Association...I think not!

This place is great! Just stopped in for a beer and some wings on our way through. The staff is so nice, love the ol' west history, and some of the best wings we've had. Which is saying a lot, I'm with some wing fanatics. Cheers to Bronco Billy's!

DO NOT EAT HERE. We were visiting Sisters for the first time and saw this neat looking place called Bronco Billy's and decided to give it a try. We walked in and the host was anything but friendly. She points to a table and asks if we wanted to sit there. We asked if we could sit by the window (this was our first time in Sisters and first day of vacation). I was shocked at her blunt rudeness. She just stared at us, sighed, rolled her eyes, and threw our menus on the table by the window and walked away without saying a word. We were so rattled by the rudeness we almost left right there. We did not want to start our vacation on the wrong foot and SPEND OUR MONEY in a place that showed no appreciation for business. We decided to try and let it go (maybe she was having a bad day?)...until the bus boy/server came over to hand us the daily specials menu. We greeted him with a hello and my husband asked what are the specials and he didn't even slow down or look at us as he handed us the menus and walked away and said 'on the menu'. We got up and left and went to Agave which treated us much better. I couldn't believe how much of an inconveinence we were to them. It's not like that section was empty, most tables by the windows also had people sitting at them. Left a very bad taste in our mouth and we couldn't shake having a negative perception about Sisters even though it was just this one place. Don't eat here, they don't appreciate your willingness to pay for overpriced greasy food.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place was awful. "Fresh" guacamole tasted like it was a week old and had mayo or something in it. The buffalo wings were disgusting; they tasted sour and old. My girlfriend got the Cobb salad; the lettuce was browning and wilty; the toppings tasted like plastic. Absolutely will never go back . $40 for terrible food and service was a mistake we won't be making again.

We didn't even get as far as eating the food! The acoustics of the dining room are absolutely horrendous, ear-splittingly noisy, impossible to carry on a conversation without shouting. A minute or so after ordering, we realized it would be a bad idea to stay, so we cancelled our order and walked out.

On our honeymoon we were stuck in Redmond with a spare tire on the car so we couldn't go far. We ended up in Sisters because of the Les Schwab, but decided to kill some time and explore. We tried to eat at a BarBQ place very close to Bronco Billy's but it was closed on a Monday. SO we settled for Bronco Billy's. The service wasn't bad, my wife asked the waitress what was good and she suggested the steak sandwich, I had a bite of it and it was very good, with lots of garlic. I had the fish (cod) and chips and it was pretty good, not bad for a landlocked area. Our food came quickly, the staff was average, the decor left a bit to be desired, didn't really fit the usually over the top tourist trap style. All in all, decent. If I'm ever back in Sisters, I will probably try another place.

A Monday lunch at Bronco Billy's was perfect. We had a window table and though we planned to split their "Best Burger in Oregon", we each ordered separately. Marilyn had the Vegi-Kabob and small salad with Marionberry vinaigrette dressing and I had a Brisket Sandwich stacked high with tender, delicious corned beef and wonderful cole slaw. Elayne, our server was attentive and suggested a really superb amber draft which went perfect with the sandwich. Bronco Billy's is an eye-arresting place, both dining room and bar with posters, memorabilia and more -- making our visit to Sisters, OR even more complete.

I want to like this place. I try to like this place. However each time I eat here I can only ever say the food is okay. Marginal. Edible. There isn't one great place to eat in Sisters. Billy's is easy to get into, easy for parking, and because of this I frequently end up here. Normally I am a burger sorta guy when we stop here. About a month ago my wife and in-laws and I stopped for some lunch. I went with the ribs instead and while not outstanding, they were not bad either. Service is generally pretty okay. The drink refills come with some frequency and the food is also delivered pretty promptly. Don't expect any of the menu to knock your socks off.

Voted Best Burger in Oregon? Maybe in the early 1900's but it is no where near as good as what you can get in Portland. To be clear it was ok but nothing great. The waitress did not even ask me how I would like it cooked, and I did not even realize this until I had gotten half way through the meal. IMO Cassidy's is the best burger in OR.

  • Robb S.

Great food -- I'm sorry, I can't remember exactly what we had; it was good enough that we made a note to leave a good review. Friendly, easy-going atmosphere. I think there were actually some locals in the bar, not just tourists.

  • Kay K.

Great service by waitress Tianna. Generous portions. Couldn't finish the half rack of baby back ribs that I ordered even if it was so tender I didn't need a knife at all. The meat just fell off the bone. The sauce was delicious as well. My son ordered the ribeye steak and said it was extremely tender. No complaints here and we were glad that we didn't experience the service others complained about on Yelp.

***Warning Warning Warning*** Please heed my warning and keep driving! Why'd I even attempted eating here with only 2 stars on YELP! People... it's for a reason!!! The food here is DISGUSTING and the prices are ridiculous! I'd be happy to pay almost $15 for my breakfast if it tasted amazing. I couldn't even eat the biscuit and gravy. It tasted like reheated old shoe. I ate the bacon and hash browns that were really hash whites only because I was starving. I never received an apology or offered something else either. A good managed restaurant would've taken the entire plate off the bill but not this place. They are scraping for every penny they can get because they know you'll never be back. On top of having bad food this restaurant was filthy and had a terrible odor. I realized that terrible odor was how my gravy tasted. SOOO GROSS!!! My husband ordered the corn beef and hash. He doesn't like to complain so he choked some of it down and simply said "he'll never come back". Apparently the people who own this place don't give a rats ass. Very sad because this place could be a goldmine with so many people driving through Sisters. I can only hope that this place goes under sooner than later giving someone else an opportunity to have a really great restaurant in town. Bottom line, I was charged about 8 dollars for two pieces of bacon and hash whites instead of the owner doing everything and anything he/she could do to remedy the problem. Argh! Save yourself grief and drive to Bend where you can get great food.

  • Steve L.

Great stop for lunch ! We stopped here in between our drive to visit the sister mountains from Bend. Great service ! Friendly staff ! The RibEye Steak Sandwich was just awesome ! Their fries are delicious and they use a good quality Ranch dressing unlike a lot of traditional American food joints. I enjoyed the atmosphere here and the quality of food for the price was excellent! Highly recommended :-))

It breaks my heart that such a bangin establishment at my hometown has fallen off cliff and taken me with them for 90 horrific minutes of my life. All I have to say to the owners is let this place go, let it go.

Gone downhill. Upon arrival we were ignored for a solid five minutes while two young waitresses tried to figure out how to count money. The dining area was nearly empty. The presumed manager was walking around the dining room straightening chairs. Once we were acknowledged, it was another five minutes (or more) before we were seated (in the nearly empty dining room). My husband and I have made Bronco Billy's a mandatory stop anytime we have been in the area for years. We had always looked forward to their delicious chicken nachos and home made apple crisp. Unfortunately, something changed. Our last stop was our very last. The menu described the nachos the same (three cheese blend, mushrooms, olives, etc.). The chicken was similar but the rest was awful. They literally served me ballpark cheese on my nachos. It had to have come from a can. It was fluorescent orange. Although my husband enjoys ballpark nachos AT the ballpark, it certainly is not what you expect at a dining establishment. Especially if the menu states "three cheese blend". No mushrooms or olives to be seen. My husband asked about the crisp. The waitress said she checked the freezer and didn't see any! LOL. They use to make it fresh! I don't know what happened over there, but it is sad. We use to really enjoy our stops there.

We ate here a few years ago, loved the old hotel building, tried it again. The first time the food was marginal but surely (we thought) it would have improved. Wrong. The b-b-q was meat dipped in b-b-q sauce, the salad was warm and wilted, and worst of all, the beer was warm. I believe in giving a second chance. I don't believe in three.

  • Roger S.

sisters is set around a western town motif. this restaurant is exactly that what you expect in the old days and old western saloon. each time I have eaten here the service was fine and the food was good. I've had the hamburgers and the steak and the chili. all three were prepared properly. nothing special about the service except we got the food and we didn't have to wait. nice selection of beers and spirits. there's a quilting fair the comes here once a year, to the town of sisters. if you're in the quilts fine but it'll be such a headache to try to get around town. as far as I've read on the reviews about bad service I'm having to wait a long time for the food, the problem had to originate in the kitchen. I suggest you get ahold of the manager in charge and see what's up. this town depends upon its visitors. so saddle up and take a look around the town, you should have a good time. pS if you really love this town and want to move here let it be known that the property taxes are probably some of the highest in the state of Oregon.

This place needs chef Ramsay to come in and help this place out on his show "kitchen nightmares" bc this place has bad food and bad service. Don't waste your time or money. The only people who like the food here don't have taste buds. Won't be back. Ever.

  • Katie B.

Super cool atmosphere! The wait and bar staff are fantastic even when they are hopping. We had a French Dip....delish and a Ruben.... OMG.....amazing! If you have time head upstairs and check out the old hotel rooms.

Wife's review: I don't know why this restaurant has such poor reviews. I'm guessing that they have a new chef and they are amazing!!! We ate here because it was the only place still open on Sunday at 6:15. My Husband and I came in, and I assumed the food would be mediocre. I got the Roper Burger with blue cheese, it was juicy and flavorful and a perfect texture! I haven't had a burger that good In forever! then Tried my husband's baby back ribs, and they were perfect!! grilled and tender, and a ton of meat! I then was given a free apple pie for Mother's Day ( which I don't like) but once I took a bite, I devoured it. I recommend everyone this place.

  • Victoria O.

The service was almost as the food. The only redeeming quality to this place is the historic building it's in. They messed up my order. Our waitress was inattentive and blamed the the back of the house. The food was really... Not good. Don't bother.

    (1)
  • Lisa F.

Nice people and staff but slow and we waited the better part of 30 minutes for our food and when we finally got our food it was awful. I had to send it back. We also never received utensils which was just as well because the food was gross

    (1)
  • Sheila M.

Service was slow then my friend got the wrong order. Waited another 20 for her dinner. Carpet is filthy, wallpaper torn, wobbly booths and sub par tacos. Haven't seen our waitress since we ordered.

    (1)
  • Melissa H.

Have you ever felt tricked? That's how we felt when our food came. My husband ordered a steak sandwich, medium rare. It looked perfect when it came, but it was extremely over cooked and tough as cow hide. I asked the waitress if the Fish & Chips were good and she shook her head. I wanted then to order a French Dip but she said they were out of French Rolls. Finally I ordered a Chef Salad. The presentation was beautiful but the taste was like it had sat in the fridge for a long time and the chicken was rubbery. She tried to make it right because she saw we ate so little. She brought us s Strawberry Shortcake. The strawberries were over-ripe and the whip cream was out of a can, plus the shortcake was one of those awful sponge cake things you buy in the produce part of the grocery store. In short this place is good on presentation but low on quality and flavor. Eat somewhere else.

Went here for the harvest festival with my mother. Worst service on the planet. We sat on the patio forever with no water or no waiter coming to check on us but once in the 1.5+ hours we spent there....how did we get our food and drinks? another fed up customer who had been waiting even longer than us walked inside to the bar I guess stood there untill she got served and brought our drinks outside and took or oder as well - never again! KEEP DRIVING!!

    (1)
  • Carey T.

They recently started serving breakfast so we thought we would give it a try. We sat outside in the patio as it was a beautiful morning. Waitress kept the coffee coming although she spilled coffee on the table almost every time. We each ordered eggs and the portions were good sized with a great biscuit or thick toast. Hash browns were actually "hash whites" which I never understand why a cook would send out hash browns that weren't actually brown. The reason I gave them only 2 stars is that it took us 55 minutes to get our breakfast! We were seated right away and ordered the meal with our coffee as we were hungry. 55 minutes later we got our meal. And the restaurant was about half full and only 2 other tables on the patio. It was barely tolerable on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but would never fly on a workday.

    (2)
  • Stephanie H.

This was close to 3 stars for me because the food was better than I thought it would be, but the reality is I likely wouldn't go back and I can't recommend others go here. I will also say that I don't think Sisters is worth a day trip. If you're here to camp, etc. then maybe that's different. It's just a small town with some touristy shops. Our first choice of lunch places was packed so we kept heading down the street and ended up here but more so because we were really hungry and it was starting to get cold. A little something personal about me, I wish I was 15 years older. I would have loved to experienced more of the late 70s and early 80s. Going in here was like a throw back to that time. Remember the saloon the Griswald's go to in Vacation on their way back from the Grand Canyon? That's what this is like. We started with the nachos with the braised beef and these were surprisingly good and they got to our table quickly. I had the burger which was better than I thought it would be but the salad that came with it reminded me of something you would get on a plane. Our waitress was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Don't expect to be wowed.

  • Judy A.

The burger was very good and so were the fries. The Cole slaw was average. We enjoyed the hot apple cider. The service was on the slow side, but all in all, this place is a definite redo!

    (4)
  • Henry K.

These bad reviews are written by lame ass tourists who don't know what a proper oregon saloon should be. Want a great steak, a cold beer and a 100 year old building to dine in? Come here. I did, and was very happy.

  • Dar J.

I had high hopes for a good burger when I heard Pilot Butte bought Bronco Billy's but I was very disappointed. I ordered a burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms, no sauce or veggies because I want to enjoy the taste of a good burger. The burger tasted greasy and flavorless. The burger also wasn't big enough to fit on the small bun. Opted for a salad instead of fries and it was bagged lettuce that wasn't cut into bite size pieces so had to use my knife to cut it. Annoying! On a positive note, the service was great and the honey mustard dressing for the salad was very tasty. I really hope BB's burgers are brought up to the standards that I've enjoyed at Pilot Butte in Bend.

Unfortunately, Yelps top rated breakfast restaurant in Sisters is out of business, so we ended up here. Slow service and mediocre food. Seemed to be lots of staff running around being very inefficient. Too bad. Seems like a great business opportunity to me.

  • William B.

Arrived just past noon, restaurant was about 2/3s full. We were seated promptly, friendly staff and very good service! Our food was to us in a very reasonable time, and was great. I guess it it's luck of the draw, but our experience was excellent on all counts.

    (4)
  • Jil S.

Loved the ambiance and our waitress was superb. The décor is neat with the history and all. The food was mediocre. Mine wasn't hot and it took along time to get to me. Considering those things verses the price, I likely won't return.

  • Gail K.

After passing up several restaurants with good reviews in Yelp, we ended up at Bronco Billy's. Three of us were at dinner. The margarita I ordered: on the rocks with salt was pretty god awful. Couldn't taste the booze due to a huge amount of bad tasting orange juice (YES! OJ) so it was more like a watery glass of juice than a drink. Not a good start. All 3 of us ordered the ribs...one said ok, one said too dry and me...I had to first chew through a bunch of fat (ugh) with bad obviously canned bbq sauce. The BAR noise on the otherside was so incredibly loud although we were sitting in the restaurant side. I finally found the manager who petulantly closed the door between the two when I asked him to do so. He didn't even apologize. The food was at best . just average . But who likes "just average" when it comes to a rack of bbq ribs? Waitress was friendly, prompt but she couldn't make up for the negatives. Find another place to go in Sisters. There has got to be better!.

  • Tom F.

Bronco Billies has been a lot of things over it's long life but luckily nobody decided to modernize the building. When you walk in the door you have a real experience in a building over one hundred years old, which started life as a wild west saloon and hotel where the early central Oregon pioneers once stopped in for a drink and a plate of hot food. The pulled pork barbecue sandwich is the draw here these days. Micro-brews match up just right with the simple menu. Service is a little slow. It looks like this may be a problem in expediting orders. The wait staff wastes little time while keeping customers happy waiting for really simple dishes that should take no time at all. This restaurant is missing one sure bet. They have a potato salad unlike any I've had before but they only make a limited amount once a year for a special catered event. If any is leftover it is served to regular customers along with a pile of deep fried french fries. It's just too much starch on a plate. The pedestrian fries need to go and be replaced by this unique potato salad alone.

Geez, what's with all the hatin'? Reviews that is. Ok, if you ARE in your peppy early or so 20something or 30 something... this spot is not for you. I've had the Dos Tacos & the Caballero Burger. Both very good & neither made me sick nor found anything unappealing. MMMM, Bombshell beer. I prefer the area that doesn't have the TVs. The Caballero had a surprising bite to it! Had hot lips for a little while... in a good way! It is a spot that's existed for quite sometime but the 'smell' doesn't bother that --- well, whatever. I like the music & the classic actors in the old placards. I think it's a pleasant time capsule.

This place has mixed reviews. I personally really like it. However, it is a dive tavern with a western theme. It's not the cleanest place and the food is mediocre. On the other hand, it is a classic place. It is probably the most authentic thing in a western themed town of Sisters. I really enjoy the atmosphere. So, if you go in with an understanding that it is a western themed, dive bar, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Have a beer a the bar and blend in with the locals.

  • Jen K.

The restaurant and adjoining saloon are in the restored Sisters Hotel and are filled with pictures, stuffed and mounted game (warning vegetarians!), saddles and other items from the Old West. One of the booths in the restaurant even looks like a Conestoga wagon. It is really old fashioned, so some might think its cool and others too themey. The saloon has a massive hand carved back bar from the 1860's that was restored for the restaurant, but the rest of the bar isn't what I would call classy. There is a large mural of dancing girls on the back wall, they have lotto games, etc. so I've never hung out and had a drink there. While I'm not entirely in agreement, this place is a family favorite. It is a casual place to have a meal and absorb that old Western vibe with the family. Definitely not fancy. The menu is dated and the service is not the speediest on the planet. It isn't the worst place in town and it isn't the best.

This is a classic in Sisters! I love to go to this place when I'm driving through Sisters...in fact I will go out of my way to visit Bronco Billy's. My girlfriend and I had the Ribeye steaks which were probably the best we've ever had in our lives. Like most restaurants in the area they have Deschutes on tap! The hotel has been around since 1912 (the restaurant since the 80s). The inside seating looks like a scene out of a Western, and the bar area is very clean and again, what you'd expect to see in a movie. Nice bathrooms and good parking. Love it!

Love the atmosphere and mega stuffed taco's @ Bronco Billy's. By far the best stop in town/watering hole. Good place to watch some sports; kick back and grab a solid Oregon brew and grub.

This place used to be outstanding with great local beef, something has changed in the last few years and I will not be back. I ordered a Porterhouse and will never do it again. High prices and poor quality are what you get now.

The resturant part is great but was terrible service in the bar! Walked in and sat down and waited and waited and the bartender was to busy visiting with locals to make time to acknowledge us- never even glanced our way or spoke to us so we got fed up and left! If you can't give a paying customer the time of day- im outta here!

Gets two as stars because our server was nice, but she had a HUGE cold sore. The only thing I could smell the entire time was a overpowering stench of Downey...my hands reek of it so did the table cloths, not super appetizing, but neither was anything else. Cobb salads are my go to and my said here had water on the button of the plate, wet lettuce, they're bleu Chase dressing was ranch with bleu cheese thrown in, and the chicken, oh where do I start? The chicken was so so dry, I had to pick it out because it was catching in my thrift throat, abd it wasn't even seasoned, the chicken was crap. My fiance got their signature "hotel burger" it was so overcooked and dry and without seasoning he said "he could have made it at home" and he's a shitty cook! Plus everyone else there got bread with their dinner, so I don't if we didn't order the right thing, but I wanted some bread too. Robert Irvine would shit if he came here, crap food and strained carpet.... Plus urging the bathroom is haunted or something!! But being haunted helps, it got it up from 1.5 stars, because I think that stuffs cool..... There was a shadow of a person that I could see walking around from under my stall, but was the only person in there! I'll heed the warnings on yelp very seriously from now on. I would have complained if itf had been just one thing, but what do you do when everything was gross? I'll

The waitress was wonderful the food was sub-par. I ordered the reuben and it smelled like a nursing home so I couldn't eat it! I would have gone somewhere else to begin with but there were waits at many of the trendier places because it was the weekend and lunchtime.

Review of food only...On our way back from Bronco Billy's to Black Butte, three of the four people in the car are contemplating making themselves barf. This place is a good dive bar, but do NOT go there for food. Wings were ok at best, tacos and burgers were awful.

Never a disappointment. for thirty years i have been driving over to my Sunriver home from Portland. nachos on the way over and enchiladas on the way back. no one does them better than John and John. every time i step into that historic place i go back about one hundred years in time and dream. always a warm smile on their face after all these years. thanks guys. now over to Marks great new brew pub in The village for a fantastic lunch. I go in there on my trips to see my dad that lives near-by in McKenzie Canyon.. I love the "old" smell of the bar. And, going through the salon bar is a plus. The food is good.. not great, but I love being able to just relax and play the slot machines there. If you are Irish, like I am.. the Guinness is good on tap..but, in Ireland they would most likely have a heart attack watching them pour this wonderful brew!!! The line from the brew tap is too far..and it takes forever to get a good Guinness. The bartender took a spoon to clear the "head' or foam, off the top of the beer.. (they would have turned over) in Dublin.. so, that's my only complaint is that they don't know how to properly serve on tap, a Guinness beer.. Need some lessons from Dublin.. other than that.. I still go there, enjoy it.. love it.. and good food..

We went to dinner at Bronco Billy's with a group of people who were in Bend for a golf weekend. We were seated on the covered deck and was allowed to bring my well-behaved dog to sit with us. The waitress gave him a bowl of water, since it was so hot outside. The service was good, food was good--not great, but good. We all had something different, and there were no complaints. I would definitely go back if in the area again. I enjoyed the accommodation for the dog, otherwise we would not have been able to enjoy a leisurely dinner because of the 90 degree heat.

We visited Bronco Billys last week and half of our party was sorely disappointed. I ordered the bbq pork sandwich...delicious and well prepared. My daughter ordered chicken strips and said they were great (but she's 5 so who really knows?) My husband and mother, on the other hand, both ordered their very expensive burgers ($9.95 not including cheese, bacon, or mushrooms) My mom could barely cut hers with a knife it was so over-cooked. My husband was just glad it came with fries. These may be the most expensive burgers we've ever ordered, but they were simply awful. Service was pretty bad, too. The hostess kept checking on us because our waitress was a no-show. Thank goodness for the hostess or we'd have had no drinks and no one would have taken our order. Once the food was delivered, we didn't see anyone again the entire meal, not even to check if it was cooked okay. I gave it 2 stars because I did really like my sandwich. Otherwise, it would have gotten 1 star.

My husband & I were staying in Sisters for his birthday (April 2008) and were enticed by the fame of the bronco billy burger. We were seated promptly and had a chance to sit back & take in the atmosphere. Unfortunately there was a VERY strong stale smoky odor and it was in the middle of the day so I was glad we weren't there by dinner time when things got busy. We had a very sweet waitress...who was at least 8 months pregnant. She was the only one there and so our service was very slow (not that I blame her one bit). Our whole meal took about 1 1/2 hours when we were hoping to spend no longer than 45 min. The burgers were okay. Not the best I've ever had by any means. Overall I probably wouldn't go back because it wasn't my thing, but I'm sure it's better on a good day. (hopefully)

Tourist trap or old school tavern? Tourist trap in terms of the food for sure. It may have been the best burger in Oregon once, but not anymore. It's equivalent to an Applebee's in an an old wester building. Sure, the decor is interesting and the bar saloon-like. But if you're coming for food, there are many, many better options in the Sisters/Black Butte/Camp Sherman area.

Neat location. The hotel-turned-restaurant look is pretty cool. Food was poor though. I had the burger, which was supposedly once voted Oregon's best. I'm assuming things have changed a lot since then, since my burger was dry, and the patty was almost broken in half. My wife's shrimp scampi was not good. Our friends got one of the barbecue plates, though, and that was alright. Also the service was slow. The price was okay, though.
