I love the food here. We bring our kids and have a great time. First off the chips and salsa are a town favorite and can be bought by the bag full. I have never been disappointed by the food and I have tried several of their combination plates. I do have to recommend the fajitas and the chimichunga. If you are into simpler fair the burritos and tacos are also very tasty. The restaurant really isn't much to look at. It could use an update, but the wait staff is friendly and the place is clean. They also make excellent margaritas. The kids menu is well suited to little ones with generous portions as well. A great place for the whole family.

The carne asada is my favorite. It's a cute little restaurant in a small town on your way to or from the beach. The menu is good for the whole family and is an affordable price. The hours are good and the staff are friendly.

Very good authentic Mexican food. Had the Chili Relleno and Pork Burrito plate and all of it was delicious and could hardly finish the good sized combo plate. Chips and salsa were are also very good including the bean dip that came with them.

This is standard medium grade mexican food in a not-so-nice restaurant (kinda dirty), but it's one of the only options in this area for going out to eat. However, you will get a lot for your money and it's not bad. I would not recommend eating in, if you have any interest in ambiance whatsoever. I don't think you can go wrong with what you order, as most items are basically the same thing in different configurations.

Found this gem via yelp. Have been back 5 times. Great food and huge portions. They bring out mild salsa, hot salsa and a plate of beans for your chips while you browse the menu. Making me hungry writing this. I may have to go back today! Best Mexican food within the area.

I've been going here for the past ten years when I visit Sheridan every August. Food is very good but lately, service has been slow or non existent, even when it's not busy.

Decent food, although nothing really special, except for the carne asada, that is super good.

I went back there today and this place is just as tasty as ever. I always seem to get to this one as opposed to the one in Tigard. I think because there are so many others to choose from in the metro area. The bottomless chips and salsa are very tasty. I had a combo plate my bf had a burrito and a beer and the grand total was around $17. You cannot beat that. The service is always stellar and they are constantly checking to see if everything is good. I'll keep coming back.

After reading Christine D's review, I decided to give it a try. Huge mistake! The food was barely palatable! Horrible, actually! I had the small combo #5, as that was what Christine D had said was so good. YUK! My wife had their version of a taco salad... again... YUK! Horrible. In a nutshell, this was the worst Mexican food either of us have ever eaten! Would we dine there again? Eek! Me thinks not. Also, they apparently either don't have air conditioning or they just weren't using it. It was stifling hot inside. The carpet needed to be cleaned badly. Just an overall bad experience. Thumbs down on this one.

I stop in for a lunch with some co-worker. I hadn't been but my co-workers had. A lot of people from my employer come in all the time and you could think they would treat us better but not true. The food is like any other Mexican food restaurant. They don't give re-fill for free so drink slow or expect to buy another drink (soda), I came in at lunch time and they weren't busy and the services was very slow. And when I went to pay the waitress gave me the wrong change. I corrected her and she made it all right. I have been told she will short change you if she can. So watch your money. I will eat here again but no my first choose.

Stopped for a late lunch, just passing through, found decent ratings on Yelp. Reviews are accurate. Great food, authentic! Mexican music playing adds the right feel to this place. Not fancy, but very good. Chips and two kinds of delicious salsa served upon arrival, and a bonus plate of warm re fried beans for chip dipping. I had chicken taco salad. Lots of tender shredded chicken in the bowl. My dining partner had a pork burrito full of the most tender pork. Absolutely delicious. At end of meal, two sweet treats delivered complimentary.

Amazing food! I live in SoCal, so Mexican food is plentiful. I must say, this place was extraordinary! Tasty, delicious food, wonderful service and an overall great dining experience.

This is about the only decent place in Sheridan. With that said, Asabache does a good job with customer service and quality of dishes. Ample portions and bottomless Ice Tea makes this a good choice for any hungry person.

Our first time here. Our server brought both mild and hot salsa to the table with chips- Larry has to have mild and I love spicy so our needs were met without asking and that's an old customer service favorite of mine. I ordered fajitas and Larry had #39A , a combination plate. I would describe the surroundings as family oriented, clean, warm and welcoming. The food took a little while to arrive, though they were very busy with a large party in the center of the dining room. Tasty dishes, nice size portions. I would prefer larger cut pieces of meat in my fajita dish, but the overall experience was very enjoyable.

I stopped in for take-out. The portions are generous and the food is good - not too spicy. My order was brought out in a decent amount of time - not super fast but not slow either. I would go back again.

Stopped here on the way back to the Coast from visiting family near Portland. On the recommendiation of other yelpers.. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food.. wife had enchillada/taco combo, kids both had the bean burrito kids meal, and i had the chimi and beef enchillada combo.. and we split some fried ice cream for dessert..and I think the total still came to about 20 bucks.. for dinner.. great food.. will possibly stop here again if we find ourselves on the road

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
