Tri-tip steak was good and pepper sauce was flavorful. Great veggies but salty Not too imaginative of a menu, somewhat old and worn

Great food and very nice staff. You won't leave hungry! We had the prime rib. Excellent!

We luckily were able to eat Lunch at Bigfoot and really enjoyed it. The place itself is dimly lit and old, could use a remodel, but at the beach I doubt it will happen in the current economy. What matters most to me is the food! My Brother called ahead to make sure they had Razors and that is exactly what I ordered. Three fat juicy tasty razor clams, breaded and fried to perfection. YUM. I barely remember the sides, but I can say the mashed potatoes were wonderful. The price, $16.00 was right on target, apparently Razor Clams are not on the menu you have to ask for them. My hubby was less than thrilled with his Blackened Salmon Caesar, the fish had seen better days and was pretty fishy smelling. The Clam Chowder was very tasty, big chunks of clam and bacon, very delicious, however it was pretty thick, a bit thicker than we like, but the taste made up for that. We ate in the bar which I would not recommend, it was soo dark I could barely make out the menu, and the seating was super tight. All the times I have been to Seaside and I have never eaten here, from now on I am going to make a point to stop by and get my Razor Clam fix!

We came to Seaside for vacation and I ended up getting really sick. I went into Bigfoot to get food and carry it out. The food was great and the service was wonderful. The lady that helped me was super friendly and the food was quick. Great place to eat and I wish I could've stayed longer!

If you haven't eaten here yet. It's worth the drive from Portland. I had the special which was razor clams. An incredible dining experience.

Eat at your own discretion. The prices were outrageous, $14 for a chicken caesar salad?!! We were not about to pay those prices so we had clam chowder, mashed potatoes and honey wheat bread. Chowder was good, nice and thick. Mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal. Honey wheat bread was gross, no flavor and very dry. This place wasn't busy and not very clean. With so many other choices I won't be back for over an priced meal.

Closer to 3 1/2 really. This place is more of a local style diner than steakhouse in my opinion. We had the halibut fish and chips and the halibut in lemon caper sauce with fresh veggies and garlic mashers. Both were good, but not spectacular. Portions were large. Fun atmosphere and lots of menu options!

Traditional homestyle food, large portions. Snowshoes potato skins were yummy. Higher quality salad dressings with good selection. Chicken linguine with pine nuts- good flavors, but swimming in sauce. As a result, noodles were too soft. Prime rib- go for the larger portion & have leftovers. By itself the meat was bland- be prepared to dip in horseradish cream & au jus. Mashed potatoes great, veggies were a blend mix was inconsistent -part mush. Service was ok. Ironic our steakhouse waitress was a vegetarian & couldnt recommend anything.

Pleasantly surprised! Have driven by this place a zillion times and finally stopped. It's a nice, friendly place. Rustic interior and the food is damm good. The fried fish is "broasted" which is a little different but still yummy.

Food was awesome. The appetizer sampler was a meal in itself. Great value, great service and excellent food. I've had their lobster meal and fish and chips both excellent as well. We need a Bigfoots in Beaverton!

Biggest, crunchiest, pile of clamstrips I've ever had! And because they use good sized razor clams, the pieces were meaty. Sides included garlic bread, fries, and broccoli slaw. The dish was huge.

So glad we found this spot. Restaurants in coastal towns tend to be very overpriced with bland offerings (not including the little crab shacks, etc, which can be awesome). We've been disappointed in Seaside before, so Bigfoot was a real treat. It's a proper country steakhouse.

Since Yelped Removed my review...I thought I'd review Bigfoot's again. It was great, the PRIMERIB the best I've had in years. Unfortunatly Yelp removed the part about Bigfoot's not having a website or a menu online. Sure would have been nice to see what they were offerring before we took the plunge! Glad we did, but Bigfoot's Steakhouse needs to advance into the 21st Century like the rest of us! We'll go back, but rest assured, you'll get some fantasic meat out here, so take the plunge.

A hole in the wall for sure. To the uninitiated, it's IS a hole in the wall but get beyond the front doors and into the inner sanctum and you'll discover a local restaurant and watering hole that delivers more than meets the eye. Don't judge a book by it's cover... The cover is a sad looking exterior with a shared parking lot of a mediocre hotel. Copious chainsaw wood art outside. Inside is kind of dark, straw finished walls, plenty of wood and coast art. Service is fast and friendly. They feature a full bar with about a dozen-ish draft beers available. The food. One had razor clams which were tender, fresh and delicately sweet with a lighter bread and what seemed like a little panko mixed in. The RAZOR CLAMS hands down are worth coming for. If your heading to Seaside or Gearhart or Cannon Beach, stop in here just west of the 26/101 junction heading north. The other, had blackened salmon Caesar salad. Bummer. I've seen this before where cooks save their older cuts for blackening since they think that patrons choosing blackened anything has a brick for a palate or perhaps they believe that the seasoning will cover any off flavors -- wrong on both counts. I believe that the fish was wild as promised because i can pick up the muddiness of Atlantic farmed pretty easy. This fish had some age on it. Not enough age to get you sick but enough age to become fishy smelling and tasting. If your down for some chowder and you like stewp or is it stoup? Then also consider this a stopover. The new englandstyle chowder is THICK, chunky and rich and, and... it has BACON. Good rich, smoky bacon. This review would have been 4-5 stars if it hadn't been for the fishy salmon. I will be back!

Stopped in to this place on a rainy day at seaside. My 2.5 year old loved the Bigfoot theme and the adults enjoyed their dinner. I never eat prime rib because i am more of rib eye eater but the waitress said it is what they are famous for so i went with it. It was very good. Everyone left happy good food at a great price and a great place to take a family.

We were here a year ago & everything was excellent - the service, food, ambiance. We just had dinner here again tonight. The food was decent, but the service was poor; pretty disappointing to say the least. Once our order was delivered, the waitress completely ignored us until she brought us our check. I noticed she was doing this with other customers as well. We won't be in a hurry to return here, that's for sure.

Service was slow but friendly. We shared the appetizer sampler and 18oz ribeye dinner with garlic mashers and veggies. The dinner was very good. Next time we will skip the mediocre at best apps. Would go back.

Prime rib worth coming back for. High quality meat cooked just right. Reasonably priced. Don't be put off by the "bigfoot" look. I have eaten there at lunch as well. They have a good burger. Desserts at other tables looked tasty but too full at end of meal to try one.

Great for kids best cheeseburger and smiley fries ever my 9-year old says. Steamed fresh clams were good too! Great bigfoot flair. Must stop!

meh. 1 star food 5 stars for service. the veggies and mash are great! spaghetti squash was a nice touch. however, frozen meat for me is a cardinal sin. if you have steakhouse in your name, DON'T FREEZE YOUR MEAT mine was overcooked and therefore chewy. i ordered a steak off the menu though, the prime rib would have been the wiser choice. hopefully those dont come in frozen.

Went here for dinner last night with my lovely wife. It was a night for a nice heavy dinner with drinks. I started with a fantastic Pale Ale on tap, and my wife had something the waitress recommended that wasn't on the menu. It was called a lazer. Loved them both. Service started a little slow, and we came around 8pm, so we were probably at the back of several other orders. The waitress provided great service once she got to us. She was friendly, apologetic, and comped us dessert without us asking. The wife and I were just happy to be out for a while. I ordered the 14oz prime rib. I find prime rib can come either nice and tender without being overpowered with fat, or it can come very tough and chewy. This was truly the best prime rib I have ever had. It was very tender and delicious. The horseradish sauce it was served with was delicious, not too overpowering, but definitely a kick. The veggies were a mix of micro carrots, green beans and squash. Definitely not the standard mix you typically see. I found this very refreshing and tasty. It also came with Garlic Mashers. Delicious. I usually find garlic overpowering in dishes like this, and this was very tasty. My wife ordered the Cowboy peppered Tri-Tip. I got to taste it and it literally melted in my mouth. I was very impressed. Usually when you order tritip, it is presliced and served. this was an actual chunk of meat. It was covered in cracked peppercorns. They were very flavorful and peppery. They were a much coarser grind than you typically see and I think it must be like garlic, bigger pieces impart less flavor than small pieces. The dessert we had was a strawberry layer cake and it was delicious. Tasted almost like a trifle. The straberries inside were almost jam-like and the cake was spongy. My wife's comment was" I could eat this all day" Fantastic meal!!

My husband and i make it a point to go to Bigfoots 2 to 3 times a year.We live about 35 miles from there. We normally order the wonderful Tri-tip dinner, which has always been great. about 1 month ago,our friend decided to take us for dinner. We got there around 5 pm. We sat in the bar and tried something different.chose the halibut fish and chips.4 pieces of flaky crisp halibut.excellent.so good we decided to come back, which was July 13th,Sunday . We ordered it again and service was prompt. We immediately noticed the french fries we soggy and halibut wasn't crispy, like dipped in a pancake batter. We have noticed the only 2 times that we had bad food, was on a Sunday.Must have different cooks on the weekend?!!!

This review is based only on the bar and only on their shaker martinis! I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of their drinks here. This place looks unassuming but has some of the best tasting and best priced fruity martinis in the bar. I had two and both of them were the right level of booze and sweetness. Not too powerful on either side. Plus my two martinis cost only $12 total! If I'm back in Seaside, I will definitely head in for a drink.

This place is WAY overpriced for the taste. Spent 18 on a steak dinner and frankly I've had better cuts of meat at Applebees. My husbands steak was over cooked and when we said something about it they didn't seem to give a crap...didn't fix our bill, nothing. I would avoid this place like the plague.

We had dinner over Memorial Day weekend so they were busy. Based on some yelp reviews, we thought it was worth a try. Our server was super nice. The food was truly just average. There wasn't a whole lot of taste to their steak, baked potato or veggies. We also ordered ribs and their sauce was good but the ribs were more on the fatty side. Overall it was an ok meal but probably not a place we will revisit.

Asked for med rare, came out more medium. Other then that delicious tri-tip humorous theme around Bigfoot. Close walk to beach, funny menu.

First I will say we went up to Oregon to visit Astoria back in 2004, 2005. We stayed at a inn in Seaside and we were looking for to a place to eat. we stopped at Bigfoots and decided to give it a try, we both ordered the prime rib and some cheesecake, and when our meal came we were blown away at how good the prime rib was, you can cut it with your fork and yes it is that good, I cannot say enough with how good it was, after all these years I still remember Bigfoots with great memories of there prime rib, all I can say is wow, we want to visit there again in the future. it has been a while but we live in San Francisco area. we have had prime rib in some of the best restaurants, but nothing as good as bigfoots ! ! !

We've been here before and loved it. I love a good lean steak as I had before here. The steak her is lean and perfect. This time I wanted to try something different so I had the Sasquatch clubmarine. It was so YUMMY! It has very lean turkey and ham not one piece of it was fatty. I'm picky when it comes to meat. It also has crispy bacon, cheddar and swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, thin sliced red onion and mayo. It's a must to try and the fries are the best I've had, crispy and soft YUM.....

  • Bernesto Y.

This is a place that's definitely a throwback to the 70s. I love a good steak from a high end steakhouse like a Peter Luger, a chain steak house like Ruth's or Capitol Grill, a well seared steak frites at a nice little bistro. Bigfoots is like the Sizzler's of my youth. It's fine, maybe even 3 stars but nothing special beyond that. It's fine, my prime rib was passable. It's Middle America, down to the 'butter spread' with partially hydrogenated oils. It's a beach town so I guess we have to lower our expectations. But there's no way that this is a 4 or 5 star place.

We came here for dinner while staying at the Mircotel next door. What a surprise! Good food and a nicer atmosphere from what you would expect from the exterior. The breakfast hours didn't work for us -- If they want more business, I suggest that they should open early for the Microtel guests!

Good clam chowder and ranch ;-) steaks were okay both my hubby's and my steaks were over cooked he asked for medium rare and it was medium well. I asked for medium well and it was pretty well. Had. Good flavor. Kind over priced. Our server slash waitress was very warm and welcoming she was Great but she seemed a little overwhelmed.

Although the food was amazing and well priced. The customer service was bad. Got the wrong food. Didn't get our bread that came with the meal. My strawberry lemonade got refilled with iced tea. Never got checked up on. Maybe a good waitress on a bad night...

Definitely not interested in returning to this restaurant. Had a lot of good meals in the past but they have made some changes to the menu (side salad not included with meal but prices are still high, ceaser salad made from iceberg lettuce... Not romaine? Clam chowder was the consistency of Gravy). Go to McKeowns, Finns or Dundees instead.. You will leave more satisfied than Bigfoots.

I'd just finished running Hood To Coast with my team and to say we were exhausted and starving would be a huge understatement. We all piled into the bar and even though we took up nearly every seat in the bar they didn't make us feel bad for it or give us dirty looks. The bartender was super friendly and checked on us just enough. I only drank water so I can't comment on the drinks but my steak was prompt, cooked perfectly and delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes were great as well. I had the opportunity to try some of my teammates' dishes and they were all quite tasty (especially the prime rib). I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Seaside!

While visiting from out of town, our host took us here and WOW was she right! My wife had the Beef Goulash over mashed potatoes ( tastes like Gramma's) and I had the bacon-wrapped beef tender. We were really lucky to get the early bird specials, but the food was worth twice the price. Just wish we lived closer.we'd be regulars!!

On an impromptu vacation I was trying to find someplace new and fun to eat for dinner, I stumbled across the reviews for this place on Yelp and thought Id give it a try, I absolutely loved the decor and the menus were a cute touch. Food was great, and we got there just in time before the dinner rush.

We like this place. We are locals and end up here a couple of times each month, sometimes with friends and sometimes as a couple. This is as good as any place for steaks around here but we seldom have them as we like other menu choices better. I usually have the broasted chicken, generally substituting a bigger broccoli salad for fries. The fries are good but I avoid carbohydrates when possible. My wife likes the fish and chips though she had a pretty good French dip the other night. Waitresses usually do ok but we really like it best when Shelly serves us. I enjoy a Grey Goose martini and Shelly makes it best. The wine list isn't great but is good enough. It gets crowded in the summer but the staff keeps up. It can be counted on for a decent meal.

The fries are amazing. We went on a really slow Sunday morning (first ones there), sowe got seated immediately. I ordered the Oyster Po'Boy, Erik got the cheesesteak. He got got the potato chips (which were still warm) with his and enjoyed the whole sandwich, although he said it was a little dry and could've used au jus. My oysters were very tasty, about 5 on a 6-7 inch sandwich, which meant there was oyster in every bite. The bread was good on both sandwiches. If we ever go back to Seaside, we will eat here again.

Oh my...... Im thinking this is the best Prime Rib dinner within 2 hrs of Portland. Veggies and garlic mashed spuds are the best! Even the garden salad and sauteed mushrooms are awesome!

This is a fun restaurant to visit in Seaside - better than the restaurants on the main street of town. You walk in and get stared down by a giant Bigfoot and get handed a newspaper which has the menu printed on it. They have many options, but are most known for their steaks. I had the prime rib. The meat was so tender and juicy - it just melted in my mouth. It came with some wonderful garlic mashed potatoes. It also came with some cauliflower and what tasted like some sort of butternut squash or turnipy sweetness. It also came with a salad. I wasn't a huge fan of the housemade ranch dressing - it needed a little more depth and salt, but good croutons. Great place for kids who can run around and find all the giant Bigfoot statues!

We came here because of a not so great experience at Doogers the night before, reviews looked good. When we drove up we weren't do sure, but once we walked in we liked the eclectic charm of the place. Staff was friendly and greeted us. We had our 5 month old so they nicely gave us a booth in the back. The food and staff were great! We had the fish and chips, which is made of fresh fish and battered at the restaurant. It was moist and wonderful. Served with shoestring fries and garlic bread and this very yummy broccoli salad that I'm kinda craving again right now! My husband had the sirloin steak and it was juicy and good with yummy garlic mashed potatoes and great steamed veggies. He also had a dinner salad that looked good. We had oyster shooters and they were really good too. The price was reasonable and the atmosphere was family friendly. We would go back for sure!

We went for the novelty of eating at "bigfoot's" steakhouse. I'm actually a vegetarian, but went because everyone else in my group wanted steak. My husband tried the prime rib because of the reviews he'd read. He was not disappointed. My father tried the rib- eye, and he liked it as well. I had the fettuccine alfredo and I have to say it was some of the best I have eaten. I also loved their newspaper style menus with stories of bigfoot. The reason am not rating higher is because of the seating issues we experienced. The first table was poorly lit (2 out of 4 couldn't read the menu) and I couldn't even raise my legs at the table without nearly knocking over all the glasses. So we finally moved and then we were so wedged into the booth it was hard to eat. I felt like the benches were designed for a shorter crowd...which none in our group were. My knees touched the person across from me. The staff were very nice and accommodating and I will go again. This time I will just be more selective about where we sit.

If you like thick clam chowder with chunks of clams this is the place. Pay extra for the bay shrimp its worth it. The 1/4 pd burger was dry and tasted burned. A burger has to drip and this didn't. Better French dips at Bouy 9.

I just got back from Seaside Oregon. Ran down for a quick weekend getaway with the wife. We had dinner Saturday at Bigfoot. The service wasn't great, but the food was. I would go back...and put up with mediocre service for that prime rib again. My wife had a fish dish and loved it! We were able to get in pretty quick for a Saturday in July. Cheers!

  • Kelly H.

Cute place. I had halibut fish and chips, the halibut was very good, meaty, lightly fried. The french fries were very plain and boring, didn't eat many. My in laws had chicken and steak, and no one was impressed. They said the sauce overwhelmed the dish and neither of them ate much. My husband had clam chowder and said it was too heavy, almost like oatmeal. I gave 2 stars solely based on the fish and this little bowl of broccoli salad they gave me which normally I despise raisins and mayonnaise and I honestly have no idea why I even tasted the salad, but I did, and it was absolutely delicious. Not good enough to make me want to go back though.

Every couple of years my husband and I travel to Astoria OR. While we are there we usually go to Seaside OR to eat at Bigfoot's Pub N Grub. I LOVE that restaurant. So, I am saddened to read Marc's review to see that the quality of the food may have gone down. Trying to look at things postively -- hopefully it was just that the regular cook wasn't in that day. Iv'e always found the prices there to be reasonable. My MOST favourite part -- the giant Bigfoot waiting to greet you at the front door! LONG LIVE Bigfoot!!!

Having a couple of extra days off, I headed off to the coast again for a little R & R. Seaside was awesome, as usual, except for one major disappointment. What has happened to your food, Bigfoot's? I was disappointed with my burger. No toasted bun, this time. A bland, ordinary tasting patty replaced the fat, juicy, perfectly cooked one I had been anticipating. I strongly suspect I was given a one-third pound patty, although I had ordered the same half-pound burger as last time. I didn't bother to complain, since I just didn't want the hassle. It wasn't bad, anyhow, just mediocre. I figured, "Oh well. You were just having an off day, Bigfoot's. Don't we all, occasionally.", and proceeded to fork over fifteen bucks, including tip. I'm sorry to say that next time wasn't much better, Bigfoot's. I ordered your prime-rib sandwich, which was OK (though it could have been trimmed better), but both my guests complained to me that their chicken dishes were dried-out. It's too bad that our relationship is now in jeopardy. True, your service and ambiance still ROCK. But I can't justify paying steakhouse prices for Denny's quality. You are still worth visiting for drinks at the bar, and some onion rings, chips, or fries. That's about it. PLEASE replace this bozo of a cook with someone who cares enough to do the job right. People DO notice, although most won't bother to complain.

Ok, so you walk in and a huge freaking YETI is staring you down. There's little bigfoot "things" every where. Logs, chainsaw figures, the whole route. Despite the decor... We got seated by a little wood stove, nice and warm, it was, after our disappointing attempt at a romantic nice dinner at McKeowns, surprisingly good, and surprisingly romantic, but we're a bit weird that way, so YMMV. The drinks were fast and stiff. The salad was amazing, fresh and with great dressing. My steak? It was tender, cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. Hub had a burger, which he said was excellent. You could pay a lot more money elsewhere for a steak, or have the best in town right here. I was told by many locals that the prime rib is hands down best in town. The service was excellent as well.

First of all, the name of the restaurant is Big Foot's Steakhouse. There is a pub inside as well. It's very country-looking in the inside and outside. The menu is a newspaper with a few stories about Big Foot, which was actually informative. I ordered the small prime rib and my husband ordered the two small steaks wrapped in bacon. I can tell you that this was THE BEST prime rib I've ever eaten. The small prime rib was thick and larger than most regular prime ribs I've had in the past. It was seasoned very well and it literally melted in my mouth. My husband's steaks were enough to feed two people. It was one of the best steaks he ate as well. The vegetables were fresh (cauliflower, zucchini, carrots and spaghetti squash). It was one of the best vegetable side dishes I've ever had as well. I wanted to order dessert but was too full, as our neighbors ordered strawberry shortcake and a chocolate brownie type dessert that looked absolutely mouth-watering. The atmosphere is a small, country-decorated pub/restaurant. I will definitely come here again!

A tourist type place right down to the big foot figure. Located just before town on Hwy 101. I stopped in for lunch and ordered up the meatball sub with homemade potato chips. The service was good and the food was out in a short time. The sub was actually not too bad and the chips were really good. The prices were really reasonable for a seaside area restaurant. I would probably return in the future.

I love that their menus are on newspaper and the whole place is very kitschy which I love. The bread is awesome. They have a big selection of menu items and is great for a group of people because they can easily accommodate smaller to larger groups without much waiting.

We stayed at Motel 6 next door and ate dinner at Bigfoot Pub n Grub. Food was good, prices reasonable, but warning the portions are large. The waitress warned us that they were "Bigfoot" portions. Dark inside and a lot of dead animals for decorations. And a wooden Bigfoot outside and a large one inside. Bar area with sports on the TVs. Definitely will stop again!

In the past couple months I've been to Bigfoot's a few times and will say that the food has been consistently good. The burgers are moist and tasty. And not terribly expensive, unless you want to put anything on it. They charge something like $1.59 for most toppings. Which really isn't that bad, but can add up if you put a couple toppings on it. The service is a whole other story. It's never been bad necessary. Just very inconsistent. On our most recent visit we stood at the door for several minutes before being seated. Then we waited several minutes for the server to take our order and were not offered a drink refill until the end of our meal. Considering they use small glasses, I was pretty disappointed since the glasses had been empty for some time. And I, like everyone else, love the bigfoot at the door. I found it hard not to laugh on our most recent visit when we came in to see bigfoot was holding roses and a box of chocolates. Cute touch! So while the service is inconsistent, the food is good and the atmosphere is fun. So I will keep going back!

Bigfoots pub & Grub is cool. it has that old timber feel like your in the woods and big foot will jump out at any minute. We tried some appetizers. loaded potato skins were awesome! also had the mushrooms. drinks were good and the atmosphere is cool. will be back for sure!

I was ready for amusement and passable food considering the weird statues (not all just Bigfoot... "Beerwolf" is there too). However, the food here was truly insanely delicious. Tasty shrimp, flavorful steak, incredible vegetables, dreamy garlic mashed potatoes, bottomless strawberry lemonade. Standout for me was the treatment of the spaghetti squash. Defintely worth a stop. Downsides? Not cheap, blinding sun in face in the evening, steak oh-so-slightly overdone, sedate watress, broken bathroom... Still worth a stop!!

We have been to this place a few times now and will go back. We typically hit it during lunch or late lunch time, and we have been overall pretty happy. They are a little pricey, but the food is good and their chips are good as well. Love their app sampler and they do a good job of providing sauces for the different items that are in it. A warning against the smiley fries though, my son did not care for them. Neat place to go for a meal if you are craving some meat. Service was great and she kept our drinks full while being extremely friendly. And yes, we tipped her more because of it. ;-)

If you need a pix with Bigfoot and a fairly good sandwich for lunch swing by otherwise there are better options in town.

My rating is based on my most recent experience. I wanted to take my husband to Bigfoot's while we were in Seaside. He'd never been but i had. The previous time the food was good, service very slow and order done wrong. So this time we arrive and the line was very long, it was cold waiting outside, and we were very hungry. So I checked the bar to see if there was any seating. It was all full except this narrow side board at the end of the bar. We took it! Within 30 seconds this wonderful bartender brought us menus and took our drink orders. Our drinks arrived 30 seconds later. She took our food orders and brought us our salads and bread within about 5 minutes. She promptly removed our empty salad plates and no sooner brought us our prime rib entree's, cooked to perfection! The quarters were so cramped that it was hard keeping everything above board, but the second my husband dropped his fork, this wonderful woman recognized the sound and brought him a replacement before he even had time to bend and pick it up! No sooner did we finish our first drinks then she came over and took our drink order. The only reason those didn't come in under 30 seconds is because she got held up by other employees standing in the way gabbing. This incredible bartender/server is named Deliah or something, but she told me people call her "Dee". We thanked and tipped her generously and left the bar. On the way out, i peeked at the hostess station wait list..... My name hadn't even been called yet!

A summer trip to Seaside can hardly be described as the vacation of a lifetime, but if you're expecting to head to the Oregon coast for an affordable family getaway, think again. The restaurants are very expensive--many are rated $$ or $$$, which for a family of 3 means you're spending $100 or more for dinner without any alcohol. We decided to try Bigfoot's Pub N Grub after reading the reviews. Hubby was in the mood for ribs and it did receive fairly high ratings for ribs. The information on Yelp says they take reservations, so I called in advance hoping to avoid any sort of line. They actually don't take reservations, but the woman who answered told me there wasn't any sort of wait, so we drove right over. Hubby and son ordered the full rack of ribs. I had the Jack Daniels Chicken. We also had the fried mushrooms. The food was really good and portions are large. We had nearly a full-rack of ribs leftover. The fried mushrooms are not in the regular breading that you find in so many restaurants--Bigfoot's uses some type of batter and it is good, albeit a little greasy. But if you're worried about grease, don't order fried mushrooms. My chicken was delicious; moist, flavorful and not dried out at all. It came on a bed of frizzled onions. One of my favorite things was the ranch dressing on the side salad. I'd read somewhere that they make their own. Whether they do or not, it is delicious. It's fresh, light and completely unlike anything from Hidden Valley. The restaurant is a little dark from all the dark woods, but the atmosphere is light, service is friendly and the prices are good. For the 3 of us (no alcohol), our bill was $57. I highly recommend this place as an alternative to some of the pricier restaurants in the immediate Seaside area. It was worth the short drive.

This place seems like it is some sort of tourist trap, but I don't care. They serve good burgers, good salads and good steaks. Bigfoot's is completely family friendly and perfect for large groups. It is a little pricey, but not terribly unreasonable.

First time visiting Seaside and we were trying to find a good place. Ok so maybe we didn't pick the best motel, but the mgr of same motel, told us about this place and it saved our day. My husband had salad, the ribeye steak, baked potato and veggies. His salad was fresh and was accompanied by a nice little loaf of dark bread. His steak was cooked perfectly, baked potato was great and the veggies were cooked well. I ordered the cheddar cheeseburger with fries.Talk about a juicy burger; it was wonderful. I would order the homemade chips next time and forget the fries. They are shoestring and are ok but nothing out of the ordinary. The burger is one of those where the next day you're thinking....man I wish I had one of those burgers again. The ambience is cute, very woodsy, homey looking and of course dedicated to the legend of Bigfoot. It fills up quickly too.The service was really, really good. I noticed everyone there was hustling bigtime. My husband had the cheesecake; you can have it with fruit but he chose is solo. He said it was very good. Yup, we will be back in the summer to visit Seaside and will def bring the family. It's good atmosphere, good portions and you get your monies worth. Definitely a winner! Oha shout out to our waitress Alisha, if you get her as your waitress, she is really good.
