I have been here a couple of times now. The girls are friendly and the burgers are good. The price is a little high but it is local. It's like a Five Guys but with Alcohol (which still havent had). I would recommend this place anytime. Note: Nancy is very friendly and always on it. She is doing an amazing job at both locations.

Best burger and fries in Salem! Similar menu to Five Guys and Fries, but bigger portions and much tastier. Highly recommend.

Sadly, I was not very impressed with my visit to Nancy's. On the positive note, the person taking orders was quite friendly to the customers that approached the counter and did a great job of finding tasks to keep herself busy with any downtime between orders, but she also spent a fair amount of time complaining about various customers to another employee (that was off the clock at the time). This employee was sitting at the counter and had dog hair all over the backside of his work shirt. I am unsure how much dog hair was on the frontside as he had his back turned to me, but the backside was COVERED with dog hair. This same employee yelled to the back asking one of the cooks how his job interview went and the reply was "good, I can't wait to leave this place." This comment didn't help me feel any better about me wanting to give this establishment a try. The burger that I had was a bit better than your run of the mill burger joint, but the prices were a tad bit higher than I would have expected with regards to the quality of the food that was received. Also, I appreciate the fact that the fries are made in house, but they fell short of my expectations as well. I'll give this place some time to work out the kinks and I will give it another go at some point. Not really in a hurry to do as such, but will be willing to see if it has improves any since my first initial visit.

The place was busy, but our food still came fast. My burger was great, I love the variety of cheese options. Plenty of fries to share with a regular order. And we got to meet Nancy herself! The restaurant was clean and the food was fresh, we'll be back!

The sign "Best Burger You've ever had" isn't a lie, when you walk in it has a feel like 5 Guys but you get a more of a family feel to the restaurant. The menu is pretty simple and straight forward. The cashier was very helpful and very nice. Comes in a classic style brown paper bag the way I like my burgers. I got the cheese burger with a fried egg and jalapeño sauce and it was amazing! This isn't a burger for the clean eater you will get messy! But worth every bite! An the fries with Cajun seasoning! And don't forget the fry sauce!! It amazing!! And to top it off the owner came up to me while I was eatin and introduced her self and was making sure everything was okay. Best burger in Salem hands down! Get in ASAP!

As burger joints go there really is no reason not to give Nancy's 5 stars. It's affordable and the food was great. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu items. one thing I thought was really cool was the toppings. they were really fresh. I put jalapeños on my burger and expected them to be from a jar. but they looked like they were picked and cut up that morning. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and I hope this business does well.

First time in a Nancy's Burgers. First off. Thanks for bringing your business to the West side. It's nice to see. I had a bacon cheeseburger, small fry and a iced tea. I get the Five Guy's references that people are talking about. But who cares. It's a great model. The Good. The Food The Burger and fries were great. Nothing wrong there. Plenty of options to put on it. Not sure why there are two lettuce options, Don't think that is needed. Most people wouldn't know the difference anyway. Fries were fresh and cooked correctly and great choices of dipping items. Nice touch with the malt vinegar. Service was Excellent. I was greeted with a big smile and someone that was happy to take my order. I got thanked for coming as I left the business. That was nice. Place was clean and in order. The Bad. I am being picky here. You have a nice new business but needs a little house keeping on a few items. Your sign says premium ice cream for your shakes. What in world is premium ice cream? Who makes this? There are plenty of local makers. Umpqua, Tillamook for example.Let me know. The Beer selection is from 1990. I know I sold it then. Some thought has to go to what products your are putting in your business. I can find the same beers in a bad Thai restaurant. Why should I pay extra for a meat that is "Prime?" I know this cut cost extra and I am not talking about the extra charge. It should be from a local supplier. Think of what Burgerville does. This is why I will pay extra for such a cut not because it says "Prime" on a sign.Who is the producer? Same deal with the ice cream. If it's from someone I know I will pay for it and support their business too. Does my Iced tea have to come out of a faucet? Some fresh brewed would be nice. Please get rid of the hand made notes with the smiley face on the front door that reads "Please wipe your feet." you have carpets for a reason and I am an adult. Remove the local posters taped to your entrance. It looks junky. It's not your house, it's a business. If you support local happenings make a board by the restrooms. Remove the cheesy beer neons. Buy a nice Open sign instead. It looks cheap, you are not a local watering hole. It's a restaurant. Just because you use you the dining area as your storage area it shouldn't look like your neighbors garage. Straighten the shelves and get rid of the clutter. Bottom line is the food and the service are good and there is some housekeeping to be done.

Very good... Gives Five Guys a run for their money. I like the fact they have onion rings and shakes as well!

  • Alan F.

A bit over priced for an average burger and soggy fries. If I'm paying 6.50 for a burger it should be better than what I'm getting at Carl's Jr. And I'm not sure why the drys were soggy and under cooked if they are made to order . I may try them again if I don't find someone better.

Decent burgers. Though when I walked in I had to do a double take and make sure I want in a five guys.

Solid food. I upgraded to the prime rib patty for $1.50 more. It was good, but a bit too big for lunch so next time I will try the regular burger. The rings were perfectly breaded and delish. Loved them with the jalapeno ranch sauce. I snagged a few cajun fries from my friend and they were okay. I think regular fries would have been the way to go. What I love about this place is that there are many options and I will go back to try them all. The service was superb. This location has been open a litle over a week, and I hope they are there for a long time. Great addition to West Salem!

I loved the location in Keizer but having one a bit closer to home is awesome. Nancy's is my favorite place to eat a burger in the area. The staff is always friendly, the food has been consistently good and it is always clean. I have had the opportunity to meet the owner at both locations and she is always happy to stop and talk. This is a great local restraint and I would encourage anyone with a hankering for a burger to stop in and give it a try.

Very similar to 5 guys! They basically copied 5 guys. Even down to the bags of potatoes on the sides. But it was pretty good! And they were very generous with there fries.

What if Five Guys raised their prices, and made slighly less-tasty burgers? Then, you'd change its name to Nancy's Burgers and Fries instead. Seriously, if you didn't read the sign at the top of the building, and just relied on the menu or the way the store is decorated, then you'd swear you just stepped into a new Five Guys. The burgers are called the same thing. The menu looks exactly the same. I don't see how Nancy's hasn't been sued yet. Decor aside, the food is good. It's just not as good as Five Guys. It's also slightly more expensive than Five Guys. If you'd never eaten at Five Guys, and had only eaten at places like the typical fast food joint, then you'd swear Nancy's had the best burgers in the world. However, if you taste a Five Guys burger you'll realize Nancy's is just a near imitation. The burgers are ALMOST as good as Five Guys. However, even though I live 2 miles from Nancy's, and have to drive past it (and another 4-5 miles), I still eat at Five Guys. The one kudo I'll give Nancy's is the Jalapeno Ranch dressing. Fantastic! If Five Guys had it, I'd really be in heaven.

If the fries were better, it would get five stars. Although I will say the fry sauce- big advantage over Five Guys.

Definitely the best burger that I have had in Salem, and their fries are delicious as well. The staff are always very friendly and service is great. I always enjoy coming here a lot and it is one of the main reasons I walk to West Salem on such a frequent basis.

Upon entering Nancy's you would think you were in a five guy's restaurant. The menu mimics five guy expect they offer more items. They have bags of potatoes in the lobby the same as five guys. Oh they don't have peanuts to eat. The building was once a quiznos, they are still using there open sign. I went to use the bathroom and I had to slam the men's bathroom door to get it to lock. The interior is lacking, just red walls. There are bags of potatoes stack again the walls. And a rack of hamburger bums next to the soda machine (Pepsi). I stood in line and looked over the menu. They have a lot of options, like corn dogs, chicken, onion rings, hot dogs, salads, and milk shakes. The menu has topping in black that are free. You can pick and choose or have them all. Just like five guys. They offer several types of cheese and lettuce. They have burger and big burger which is like five guys too. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce, pickles, ketchup and mustard. A regular fries and a 20oz pop. This is my standard order at five guys, I wanted to see if they were better or worse. The cashier was somewhat helpful, asked me to make sure to keep my receipt to get my food. I guess people steal other people's food. I didn't time them but it did take a while to get food. It came in two brown bags, one with the burger and one with the fries. First off the burger was made very sloppy. I couldn't take a bit without sauce coming out. The burger tasted okay but nothing great. The sesame seed bun kept loosening its seeds, which is kind of weird. Overall the burger was fine. The fries weren't good, some were undercook. The overall taste wasn't good, must of them went into the trash. I felt like I had overpaid for the food. Left unhappy. Second visit, I try not to judge a new place on my first option. Took my wife to see what her option was. Order the something plus a corndog. The wife has a hamburger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard. Service was slow and the employees didn't seem happy or nice. My burger was the same; wife wasn't impressed with her burger. They forgot the mustard on hers. I was hoping the corn dog was going to be good but sadly I took on bite and I was done. I have had better corn dogs at convenience store. I won't be returning to Nancy. Go ahead and try them out but they just aren't for me.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered two burgers, and the total came to about $13 bucks. I thought my burger was great, my friend had one complaint: he said the Bacon was to fatty, I didn't order one with Bacon but I agree that it looked kinda fatty. Overall we enjoyed the place, and will be returning customers.

Well, it's closer to my house than the original. The burgers are awesome, as expected. But something is off... First, I didn't like the staff quite as much. The cashiers in Keizer are so upbeat and friendly. Here? Eh. I've never been asked to show my ticket to prove my order number before, especially when I'm the only person standing and waiting for a to-go order. Second, the atmosphere is off. Kind of dark and cramped and not at all like the Keizer Nancy's. I'll still eat here way more often than is good for me, but I'll probably be getting it to-go.

Thank goodness for Nancy's! Though very similar to Five Guys... Nancy's is ssssooo much better! Better tasting, more than 1 cheese option, bigger burger, and milk shakes! Definitely worth it!

Good food. But my rating is based of the fact that their riding on the coat tails of five guys. I find it utterly disgusting that they duplicated five guys almost exactly. Yes, they have a few small differences, but they don't have a single original idea. Shame on you.

Burgers were ok- clearly trying to be five guys, but not quite as tasty. The fries were actually real bad. The whole bag smelled burnt, and they tasted just as bad. We got a regular size, but couldn't finish them, not cause of the size, but because of the taste.

So one day Nancy said to her 5 brothers "Okay guys, since you won't let me play hamburger stand with you, I'll just start my own. It'll be BETTER! It'll have BEER!* And so she did. And it was good. The toppings were fresh; no 'squishy' tomatoes, bitter lettuce, etc. Nice freshly cut fries. Affordable. Worth stopping in if you are in the mood for a burger. * Get it? Five? Guys? Oh, never mind.

Once again, I trusted Yelp and was not disappointed. We walked in expecting a good, well-made burger and FOUND IT! (this is a walk-in and sit down burger joint rather than drive-thru fast-food.) The burgers were hand made (no pre-fabbed mystery-meat patties you find in the big chain burger franchises) and in this case, that translates to lots of big, fresh flavor. You can get a standard assortment of condiments and veggies, plus really flavorful bacon, and a choice of 5 cheeses (American, pepper-jack, cheddar, Swiss, and something else (I was sold after the girl said pepper-jack....) My cheese turned out to be a little more gooey that I think of pepper jack being -- but I think that may be because it was such a thick slice, and I'm not sure whether that's a good thing or a slip-up. A regular burger is 1 patty -- a jumbo has 2. For comparicon, husband got the reg -- I got the jumbo, but 1 patty would have been plenty because they are generously thick -- so I took the other half home for later. They feature other burger joint favorites like corn-dogs and a BLT that was calling my name... fries, onion rings, and even a few salads! We got a large order of fries to share -- and it turned out to be a HUGE paper bag filled (!) with skin-cut fries so hot they snap when you bite! The fries are only slightly salted -- and they have squirt-your-own ketchup and fry-sauce service at the counter. They offer something I've only seen lately -- pastrami on your burger! (I tried this at Burger 101 in Lincoln City and it was yummy!) Today, I got bacon on my burger, but it's nice to know I COULD get pastrami added on if I wanted. They also have a chalkboard that boasts they will add a fried egg to your burger for just $1. I've never heard of this before -- but okay. It at least sounds interesting. Maybe next time. And...(drum roll) -- beer! And yes, there will be a next time. I am now a fan. This is, indeed, the best burger we've found in Salem!

It is true that the food is very similar to 5 Guys, something I am perfectly okay with. Really good fries, decent beer prices, and delicious burgers. I found the place to be rather clean and aesthetically pleasing for a burger joint. The large fries are to share... with a few people. If you live in West Salem and haven't checked out Nancy's Burgers, go do it! More restaurants will arrive when the existing ones have support.

Was turned away after entering the building at 7:59. Posted closing time was 8. Open sign was still lit. I work in a service job as well and I would never get away with Turing a customer away that close to closing. The food here is absolutely amazing and will return despite this interaction. But something needs to be done cause others might not have the same response. Good customer service is the only thing standing between success and failure when it comes to the service industry. Hope this experience doesn't happen to anyone else. They really do have one of the best burgers in Salem!

  • Amanda J.

The customer service was good . The burgers and food were bad. It's a copy cat of five guys burgers that was bad. The burger patty was just seasoned with pepper and that's all I tasted. The fries were mushy and burnt. The bacon wasn't cooked throughly and that buns were just bland. Overall, I would drive farther to five guys than waste my money on the food. It tasted really bad.

Finally! Salem has a good burger joint. Delicious fresh made burgers and fries that make 5 men, or whatever, forgettable. Fry sauce could be a beverage it's so tasty. Reminds me of the days of the local diner. Nancy even came around and greeted guests, a nice gesture. They also feature Pepsi products and a wide variety of beers.

  • Riki Y.

Burger was good. Fries weren't my favorite. The place looked nearly identical to Five Guys and operated similarly. I wasn't blown away by the prices, the taste, or service. One star taken away for not being great food, just good, and one off for the complete lack of originality.

Decided to give them a try a couple of days ago. Perhaps, being a "senior," I don't have a huge appetite and will opt for a "kiddies" burger when available. In Nancy's case, that just comes with ketchup, mayo and mustard. I opted to add tomato (25 cents) and iceberg lettuce (25 cents). I will say the burger was larger than most for "kid-sized," but the bun was soggy, with the very smallest piece of lettuce one could imagine. The fries were thick cut -- but limp and greasy-tasting, with not a hint of crispiness. I won't be coming back.

  • Howard M.

Ok @ first glance nancys' is a clean burger shack, with young courteous ladies at the register. The burgers are a little on the higher priced side from what I would expect, but they're cooked well and flavorful. The drawbacks are that you pay for burgers, fries and drinks each separately. But the food is good and the staff are friendly. One thing worth noting is that you get a lot of fries. They have a topping options for the burgers.
