My absolute favorite Thai in town!! I have several allergies and she is always sure to address them all, she even comes to our table herself to clarify and be sure. She works very hard to run her own business and with little help but does wonderfully. The food is very tasty and delicious, I even get an order to go for later when I'm not staying in town. She has bubble tea, Thai food, American food, and though I am not familiar with it she offers what I can assume is lottery and gambling in the next room. There is seating for dine in, you can take out, but no delivery. The food is worth the pickup. There may be a little language barrier but be patient it's worth it.

I love Yelp, for it helps me find little pl aces like this. I loved her take on chicken satay: fresh and moist. Very kid friendly. It can be a little hard to find (it's on the side of the complex), but well worth the search.

Stopped by one time and found the food to be average, certainly nothing special. Took a long time to receive the order for sure. Not much smilin' goin' on. Other spots available.

Food was great, Mina was beyond nice! Careful she may talk you ear off! Being from out of town, she gave us some great trips for the next leg of our journey. She loves what she does, and has some very interesting choices on and off the menu. It's it hard to find, but we'll worth it. Great value!

We live near Mina's and to be honest, the location isn't great, and I wondered if it was any good. Plus, they have video gaming, and to me that spells D-I-V-E. We decided to try it tonight and were VERY pleased. The food was as good as any we've had in Portland, and that's saying a lot. I had the Drunken Noodles with chicken--the meat was tender and the entire dish was delicious. Awesome rice noodles. One of their specials was New York Steak and baked potato with veggies. My husband skeptically ordered that (how good could a steak BE at an Asian restaurant?)--and it was very good. Cooked just right. For an appetizer, we ordered the shrimp veggie spring rolls wrapped in rice paper and they were fabulous. Super fresh. Only 2 kinds of wine--red and white. Actually, the only negative was the red wine, which was a "red blend." My hubby got the impression that they dumped several "leftovers" into a bottle and called it their red blend. Not very good. My Chardonnay was good. Great, friendly service from Savannah and good food. The decor is an interesting mix of Asian and Pinterest/homey. Mina has worked hard to make this unusual space inviting and pleasing. I suppose if the decor was top notch, you'd pay a higher price for your food, so I'm fine with it the way it is. We plan to be regulars here.

Good food, but long wait. If you have lots of time to hang out and great company then you won't mind the wait time at Mina's. They are friendly, but understaffed and the table we sat at had a stained tablecloth. Our food came at different times so I got to watch my friend finish their meal while I was still waiting for mine. The Pad Thai had a mild yet delicious flavor and the drunken noodle was also excellent. It was quite redeeming after a long wait and the ingredients tasted fresh.

This place was amazing. I went with my parents and had the crazy Asian stir fry with tofu, drunken noodles and green curry chicken and we were impressed! It's a casual little place but food taste homemade and fresh.

My friend and I thought we'd try this place from previous reviews. We were not disappointed! It was a welcoming place with an inviting atmosphere. The food was wonderful! We both had the Drunken Noodle-- mmmmmm! I should have taken a picture, but it didn't last long! :-)

I've never been a fan of Thai food until now. My wife and I had a fabulous dinner, and the dessert was beyond explanation. The owner, Mina has a true passion for her food, and it shines through. Highly recommended!

Great Reuben sandwiches! Pleasant surprise, I was looking up Reuben sandwiches for my city and Mina's came up with a Facebook page for today's special being a Reuben...came, saw it was a Thai restaurant, but pleasantly surprised! the Reuben is not on the menu but Mina sure knows how to cook it.. as good as the Irish pub (see my other reviews) in Newport Oregon. for those looking for this gem of a restaurant, its on the side of the strip mall where donatello's is, next to northern lights. enjoy!!!

How.the.hell.did this place get more then at most three stars? I'll break this down a little bit, it's in Salem Oregon, which in itself is a s*** hole so maybe nobody understands good customer service, or more importantly, good food. You passing through the area to simply eat. Do not waste your time. I had Pad Thai, upon requesting shrimp as my meat in this dish it seemed like a foreign concept to her, "Mina" who, by the way, is the only one working at noon, lunchtime, wtf. The dining area is cold, small, with horrible lighting, as well as, no music making it incredible awkward and uncomfortable. My boss and I came to this cafe for two reasons, we were hungry, they claim to have bubble tea. When we ordered bubble tea she said they were out of that drink ( in very poor English) which is weird for a resturant that has been open one hour. We got smoothies instead, after waiting 15 minutes for our pad Thai, which turned out too salty and nothing like any decent pad thai I've ever had, she then decided to start making our smoothies.. Also if you think I'm just some dramatic person, I'll have you know I've NEVER wrote a review before and this place sucked so bad I had to let people know...haha I'm still here, and a women who just ordered pad Thai to go, and is allergic to peanuts just received the pad Thai with peanuts. Mina did not offer a refund for her mistake. Wow. Do not go here.

This place is literally a HIDDEN gem of Salem. It's a small little cafe that has Thai and special faire. It is adorable, but tiny and hard to find. Absolutely delicious egg and bacon fried rice. She has boba smoothie and their are the real deal bubble teas. Will be back for a second round and will get the house made mango cheesecake.

Just go here - everything was delicious and the portions were good sized - and the service was so personable and friendly! It's like visiting a friend in their home - Mina has a grand personality and the food was outstanding! We had: drunken chicken noodles, drunken pork noodles, crazy Asian stir fry and pad Thai with pork. We sort of all passed around the plates and ate off each other's - not one was better than the next because they were soooo yummy! Also had strawberry banana bubble tea - YUM and fried wonton (?) wrapped bananas with ice cream for dessert. Take the chance - you won't regret it!

Awesome little gem in salem. Great food and Mina the owner is really nice. She came out and sat with us for a bit and chatted. The pad Thai, drunken noodle, green curry, yakisobo noodles, and smoothies were all amazing. Service can be a little slow when it's busy but this is a true local place with great food. Totally worth the wait! Of all the places we've tried in salem, this is the best Thai so far. PS try the taro flavor smoothie. It's the best.

The bacon and egg fried rice is delicious. And the coconut bubble tea is incredible. They're still open, even if the web site is down.

Maybe my expectations were a little too high after reading the reviews. I do love the Thai-American hybrid menu and the fact that they have bubble tea! I'll start with my least favorite, the Reuben. My favorite sandwich of all time. If it's on the menu I order it. My love for these sandwiches started when I was 4-5 y/o, my dad would make them for me after hours in the kitchen of the La Playa hotel where he worked as a chef. Been ordering them ever since. This sandwich was unbuttered and barely toasted, the bread was cold and somewhat soggy, lacked that buttery crisp when biting in. In addition the Rueben, typically piled high, was not. Minimal amounts of meat and sauerkraut. Came with fries, which I would rate as average. Would not order again. On the other hand the fried egg rolls were excellent. Wrapped in spring roll wrappers, not the thick egg roll wraps. They were served hot, fresh and crispy. The filling was also good and flavorful. My bf ordered the pad-thai which was absolutely delicious. Actually one of the best pad thai's I've tried. Would def order this again. And then we ordered 2 taro bubble tea's. FYI it is served frozen, not over ice. Which I actually didn't mind too much, it was delicious. Aside from the fact that my tapioca pearls were not cooked, at all. Many of them were completely hard and I had to keep spitting them out. I thought maybe it was the frozen aspect that was hardening them? But I've ordered many iced taro bubble tea's before where the pearls hadn't hardened. Maybe I would order again with the pearls? Or I'm thinking this was an isolated case and will try them again? Will see. Even though I'm only giving 3 stars, I am open to going back and trying them again. Thinking their Thai menu options are a better choice.

Great Peanut Sauce! If that is not enough for you then you might want to consider the Reuben sandwich that I ordered off of the daily specials. Super quick for take-out at lunch and quaint for a laid back dinner. Will definitely go back again.

What a great surprise! This place is hard to spot. But seek it out. The menu is an unusual mix of Thai and American. A friend and I caught lunch there today. I had a Reuben sandwich with the house cole slaw. Not a regular offering, but evidently an occasional special. One of the best Reubens I've had! The cole slaw had a Thai spin, and was fabulous. I opted for the cole slaw over fries. I later saw fries come out on orders that went to other tables. Had I seen them before ordering, I might not have been able to resist -- they looked like they would be excellent. My friend had pad Thai. He gave it a strong thumb's up. Our server appeared to be the owner. She was super upbeat and very efficient. They serve dinner too. Can't wait to try it for dinner, and to come back to try more of the lunch offerings.

Went here for bubble tea, and every dish that went by looked so good I'll definitely be coming back to try it! Great offerings of both Thai and American food, and the bubble tea was excellent! Had several people ask me where I'd gotten it afterwards because it looked so good.

Everything we have tried from Mina is excellent! Portions are fair for the price and Mina is very nice and funny as well as an excellent cook. You can ask for items a certain way and Mina will accommodate. I highly recommend the Pad Thai Salad & for dessert a smoothie or cheesecake rolls are a must.

getting shrimp rolls to go and a coconut bubble tea. cafe is small and cute. decor is very simple and charming. I am assuming Mina? came out and asked if id like peanut sauce with my order. I said yes. she informed me it will be a couple minutes because she cuts everything to order. she also came out and asked if I would like mint and cilantro because not everyone does. very friendly.

Best Pad Thai in town. This is my 4th time here and I just had the BBQ pulled pork and it's really good. French fries are the best. Shrimp salad rolls with peanut sause is excellent. Crispy pork and shrimp egg rolls are delicious. Fried cheesecake with ice cream is also a family favorite. Come check Mina's out!! You won't leave hungry and you won't be disappointed.

Mina's is a wonderful establishment! The food is absolutely amazing. My wife and I have gone there multiple times now and each night want to go back for dinner. My favorite dish is the reuben sandwich, but chicken pad thai and the various jerky's are very good as well. Most times the owner/cook will come out and chat with everyone, offering samples of new sauces to try. Wonderful environment, phenomenal food, and great service. Thanks MIna's!
