Great ambiance. Great Mongolian beef. Aquariums serve as dividers between booths. Cool! Service was very good, too. EXCELLENT VALUE!

For me it is hard to find good international food in Roseburg, OR lol. The China Palace, however, is DELICIOUS! I love the mongolian beef, which is nice and spicy. The service is pretty good as well. There are lots of fish tanks all over the place too. Nice sit-down restaurant. I haven't been there in a few years, but I remember it being about $10.95 for my entree.

There are better places to eat Chinese in Roseburg. Rose and I decided on having a lunch adventure so we went to the China Palace on Stephens St. Although the restaurant was not at all busy, we waited a very long time for our orders. When they came, the food was disappointingly mediocre. On the plus side, the prices were quite low. But no low enough. I'll gladly pay a few dollars more at another place the next time we want Chinese. Check out our blog "Rose's Cafe" at: rosescafe1.blogspot.com

Good enough food, but waitress was way too chatty. Didn't really need to overhear her life story as told to the family at the table next to us.

I gave one star since I can't do zero stars. Some of the worst "chinese food" I've ever had.

As Newbies to Roseburg, we're still searching for the best of the best and we finally found the BEST Chinese restaurant in town. We're so pleased and the long search is over! China Palace was so good we'll be back. All 5 of our dishes were flavorful and we just tried the typical fare to see if it would taste as it should after our other disappointments in town !!! The fish tanks were very clean. Had they not have been we might have left. The waitress was funny and very helpful as were the others there. Wonderful experience as we are so fussy and hard to please. I would only ask that they find a better, fresher supplier of fortune cookies. That's not enough to lose a star over ! Just don't eat the cookie ! The food was EXCELLENT ! (There were many items on the menu under and over $10.)

While driving between San Francisco, my wife and I found this to be a pleasant option to Interstate fast food. While the place was warm, clean and cozy, and the staff was kind and attentive, we found the food to be bland and disappointing. Good for a stop on a long drive (and not hard to find from I-5) - but you may opt to forgo a to-go box.

We got take out here. Walnut shrimp, potstickers, house style noodles, tofu and vegetable soup....I wasn't expecting anything from this small town Chinese restaurant but was pleasantly surprised. The whiteboard advertised "yummies not on the menu" which was precisely what I wanted. I'll definitely go back.

Just went her last Sunday with a group of friends. Some had never been to the CP and were pleasantly surprised. Most Chinese food around here is very Westernized, but this place has a more authentic approach. You can ask for some dishes to be spicier than usual, since most people around here don't have the palette for it. The Mongolian beef, General Tso Chicken, moo sho...House noodles...a few of my favorites... The service is always great.

Manager never seems very happy there. The food is good and the service is fast. I will go back.

The atmosphere was dark and dingy. Our place settings were obviously old and we even had a dirty fork. My dish was 85% celery. So if u don't like celery avoid the cashew chicken and garlic chicken. Overall pretty disappointing!!!

What a find! Great Chinese food. Try the Amazing Chicken or the Moo Shu Pork - both outstanding. Service is very good, with wait staff knowledgeable of menu selections. Servings are huge - plan on taking home leftovers.

Roseburg is an odd place The egg rolls at all the Chinese restaurants are hugeand greasy. Some of the dishes here are very good and some are pretty bad. I think this is th second best Chinese restaurant in Rosburg. China Buffet is better.

I really liked this place at one time. I went there today and found they had changed their menu. I went in with the intent of getting several main dishes to share with the family, what I got was a bunch of lunch style plates and 5 tons of rice. To add salt to the wound, every dish was overly sweet, and the spicy dishes had no savory taste to them (or spice). I'm sad to say, I will not be going back.

I've enjoyed my meals here, favourite is the princess tofu or chicken. Flavourful with plenty of fresh veggies added. Event room big round tables is a good venue for parties Staff are very friendly and kitchen is very flexible.

Chinese isn't really one of my favorite but when I do eat it I get it from China Palace! The food is really good and you can substitute tofu or any of the meats and I think the other way around. The employees are very kind and get to you all set up asap. The reason I am only giving this one star I'd because they won't batter my tofu anymore... I know she doesn't it for other people but when I come in and try to order she won't do it :( why????

The atmosphere is pretty good. The food is phenomenal especially the chicken. The food service was poor though.

We first discovered this place while staying over in Roseburg for a few days in July. We tried a few of the other Chinese food places in town, but none of them really had anything that "stood out" above the rest. Then we tried the China Palace, and we have to say their Beef Lo Mien is some of the best we have ever eaten! Their Mar Far chicken and Mongolian Beef were great too! Their lunch specials are outstanding, and the portions are huge! The decor is very relaxing, their service is great, and the owner is wonderful lady that who is super friendly. If there is a problem with the food or anything else, she is right there to assist in any way. This is a great place for groups of all sizes, and the staff is great! Every time we pass through Roseburg now we stop and order the Beef Chow Mien to take home with us. A really great place that is worth the visit.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
