My bestfriend, and I visited visited BBB, around 3:00 P.M. on a Friday. We had one of the best experiences ever. I had the Mediterranean Chicken it was loaded, with black beans, Israeli Couscous, Herbed chicken, etc it was lovely, it accompanied, with soup or salad $15.00. My friend had the BNB Grinder very meaty, but very fresh the Tri-Tip was juicy and tender it comes, with a choice of sides, she ordered it with Sweet Potato fries, wonderful crispy sweet goodness. I don't remember the price, however it was very reasonable. The service was fast, friendly, without being pushy. We will be going back. Thank you BBB. Not kid friendly, but sometimes we moms need a place for ourselves.

Nummy! Have a cafe 43! Delicious! Make sure you have a designated driver if you plan on having more than one! Hamburgers are good too!

Best food I've had in Roseburg. Fresh and unprocessed. Prices are great for the higher quality of food. I had the BNB Grinder, my family had grilled chicken salad and the backnblue burger, all of it was fantastic!

Well, well, well... I have so look forward to eating here. I am on the fence with this place. There was six of of us . We had a mix of items. The ribs GREAT! I had the chicken okay. A couple with us had the blue burger and said it was good. My brother in law had the grinder and said it was "ok" a bit raw. The service very good. It was an uplifting atmosphere. The drinks ok but not over the top. I think I need to come back as I see so much potential and wonder if there is more to this place! Enjoy

The Best Clam Chowder i have had in OR. Also loved that they had Gluten-free Bread for my Wife. She did the Build your own Burger. I also has the sausage, kale and black bean dish, great portion sizes for the price.

I'm basing my review on three things: their dessert, ambiance, and the service. Dessert--The layer cake was delicious. I highly recommend it. Ambiance--In my humble opinion, and with all due respect to other posters, the decor was fine. I found the vintage skis and golf clubs on the back wall rustic and charming. The paintings on the side and along the hallways were appropriate to the space they occupied, and the televisions were easy to locate if you wanted to watch a game. I have no issue with this aspect of the business. Service--Blac-N-Bleu could improve on this area of its business. The server seemed to disappear once our order was delivered. When we got her attention, she immediately realized she forgotten about us and apologized. I believe the service will improve over time, but I have a hard time accepting being overlooked in a small dinner, while we were seated in the middle. I would give Blac-N-Bleu 3.5 stars if I could; however, since that option isn't available I either round up or down depending on the experience. In this case Blac-N-Bleu was 2/3 positives, but service is a big booboo so I rounded down. I am looking forward to returning to try the lunch/dinner menu. Will see how that goes.

Great Rick fish, fish in chips. The blue cheese burger was fantasy. Service was outstanding! A must stop on your adventures.

This place has a great atmosphere while being laid back. The bartenders take pride in handcrafted drinks. The food was creative and tasty. A great restaurant that I hope is here to stay.

Awesome! First time there after hearing all the negative reviews. We did not see anything at all Snooty. :) In fact quite the opposite. Staff was very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Every plate I saw come out, looked great. I had the Rueben... yummy. My wife had the gluten-free burger. Yes they have gluten-free items and were very helpful in accommodating our food requests. My wife did not want the side salad that comes with the meal so the waiter did not charge her the normal extra for the gluten-free bun on her hamburger. Now for the good part... Finally a place I can get a decent Scotch! Ive been looking everywhere for a place that stocks something besides the normal Glenlivet. They had Glenmorangie! I will be back to see what else they might have. The place is nice, clean and friendly. Its not a high end gourmet restaurant as some may be thinking it is, but its a place I can go and have great food and drink... watch the game on the tv... and... take my wife without having to go to some crappy sports bar. Roseburg is lacking in places like this. 2 dinners plus scotch and a beer was $36.00... not bad in my book. :) Salt and Pepper

$8.50 Add Fresh Avocado $1.00 Blac-n-bleu Fish Tacos Blackened rock fish, fresh pico de gallo and cabbage, with lime aioli in blue corn tortillas, served with herbed lime brown rice and black beans I got this order to go on a Tuesday afternoon. They were not busy; although maybe for the two people that were there. Above was the item as stated on the menu at urbanspoon. The fish was over seasoned. There was no pico de gallo. They were very dry so I don't think there was any lime aioli either. The "blue corn tortillas" are actually blue corn taco shells. Oddly the fish was on top of the cabbage and half of it wasn't in the tacos. The rice was served separately from the beans and was plain(like not even prepared with stock or broth plain). Oh, and they were $9.00. I didn't get avocado. All-in-all pretty disappointed. I will give kudos for it being ready when they said it would be. I'll give them another try, maybe a sit-down meal, probably will not order for to-go again

We first visited this place soon after they opened and weren't impressed. But it's been a while now, and we see that they seem to have a steady clientele, and some positive reviews here. So when the opportunity came up last night to revisit them, we decided to give them another try. We really wanted to like this place. It's convenient to our home, and we wanted to enjoy some PAC-12 sports in the company of some other fans, and have some good food in the process. But it just wasn't to be. It wasn't crowded, and we got great seats at the bar, directly in front of a big flat screen. I still find the decor to generic and sterile, but we were here to see a football game and have some light dinner and drinks, not critique art. So no problem with that. We ordered a bottle of wine, and two snack items: "steak bites" and a shrimp cocktail. They were out of the artichoke dip, which was Rose's first choice. The steak bites: bite-sized pieces of a good steak, unfortunately way too over-seasoned and covered with what seemed to be a canned beef gravy with a lot of salt. This was laid out on a bed of mushrooms and topped with blue cheese. The cheese's flavor overpowered everything else. Very disappointing. Shrimp cocktail: Nice plump, juicy shrimp with shrimp cocktail sauce. The sauce was layered over apparent cole slaw. Sort of unusual, but ok. Also over-priced. The clientele was a bit difficult. One "gentleman" at the bar was loudly antagonistic to Duck fans, and to one man in particular. He was loud, distracting and obnoxious and at one point he fell on me. We left at half time and enjoyed the remainder of the game at home. A total waste of $44.00. "Rose's Cafe" #rosescafe1 rosescafe1.blogspot.com

The service is outstanding. Danielle is great! My fiancé had the rib eye and decided he'll never get a steak from anywhere else in roseburg. I ordered the chicken fettucini Alfredo, I'll never order that again. The flavor was lacking. The spinach artichoke dip was good. They also love putting blue cheese crumbles on everything, so if you aren't a fan, I'd tell them. We will definitely go again.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I honestly had the worst service here than any other place i have ever been to. We showed up at 5:30 or 6 on a weekday, and the place was almost empty, maybe 4 other people in the place, including 2 at the bar. We waited for 15 minutes for the server to acknowledge we were even there. It took her about 10 minutes after seating us to come ask for drinks and then another 10 to bring us water. I ordered fish tacos and my wife ordered a salad. We waited and waited and waited for our food for close to 45 minutes. Now i will admit the food was exceptional and if the wait wouldn't have been so bad we would consider going back in again. After eating we asked for a check and didn't receive one for over 20 minutes. Now keep in mind there was never more than 6 people in total in here at any given time, so it was not in any way a busy night. When we didnt get the check i went to the bar and asked to pay for our bill so we could leave, and he flat out told me that i couldnt pay there. He said "ill send her over right away" when i told him we had been waiting to pay for 20 minutes and just wanted to go he just said "she'll be right over" and turned and walked back to the bar. It still took her another 15 minutes to bring the check. All in all one of the worst experiences i have ever had in a restaurant. I suppose if you got the food to go it would be a passable dinner.

This has become my new favourite hangout. Extremely friendly staff, delicious food, and fantastic bar tending. I feel right at home every time I visit, which is pretty often now a days. The portions are very generous, I always have to share or get a box. The steak bites are a favourite of mine, as well as the pretzel sticks and beer cheese. A diverse selection of beer on tap is a big draw for me and my friends, as well as the well stocked bar and capable bartenders. The Blac and Bleu Bistro is anything but "snooty" and is great whether you are in the mood for a scrumptious meal or just a few drinks.

I am amazed at some of the other reviews that comment on the decor. Really? There are a whole host of places I would never eat at if I worried about the decor. Blac-N-Blue Bistro is very nice (even the decor). My husband and I have eaten there twice and the food was very good both times. I had the fish tacos which were some of the best I have ever had. Blackened rock fish in blue corn tortillas with black beans and herb rice. My husband had clam chowder which he said was great...lots of clams. At our next visit I had their pastrami Reuben with fries. Great sandwich, wonderful flavor and excellent crispy fries. The service for both of our visits was very good, friendly and helpful servers. Only one minor complaint; the tables along the wall are very close together. You are literally back to back with the people behind you. Avoid these tables if you can. One addition. We took some family with a young child to the restaurant. No high chair, no booster seats. Definitely not child friendly.

Have ate at this place more times then I can count. We usually sit at the bar and have a drink with whatever we are eating. in all the times we have eaten here ( I am talking 100's of dollars ) we have NEVER got one thank you from owner. We have noticed that most of the people that go there before the dinner hour are friends with owners. That is great, but a business can't make it on friends alone. We have decided to spend our money elsewhere and hope that the Women at the bar (owner) reads this and remember how important a simple thank you is.

Today I had a great Blac-n-Bleu burger and fries at this joint and my daughter had the Blac-n-Bleu spinach salad. The burger was really good and the salad was fresh and beautiful full of large delicious shrimp! Probably the best shrimp we've ever had in Roseburg!!! The price for our meal was right where it should be! I can't wait to try the Pasta next!

We had a nice experience, and the staff did a great job, especially considering that the place had opened so recently. The reuben was a delight. The steak bites are yummy, too. Everybody enjoyed their meal, and we plan to go back for more.

I met my daughter there for dinner tonight. It was my second visit; her first visit. Although I thought this restaurant was okay when I took an out-of-state friend there a couple of weeks ago, I found tonight's experience very disappointing, and so did my daughter. The restaurant itself needs better lighting. It's too dim, but not in a nice, cozy way. Some covered candles at each table would help immensely. The interior feels "cave-like." All the decor and furnishings are dark and not at all cheerful. I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was served in a very small glass and the cocktail tasted watered down. I ordered the same dish I ordered on my first visit, which was their pasta and chopped clams. This time, the dish contained very few clams and the pasta was somewhat submerged in water. It basically was tasteless, but at the same time had an "off" taste, as well. It was not at all appetizing. My daughter ordered their shrimp scampi, but ate nearly none of it. She described the scrimp as overcooked and rubbery. In a nice manner, she mentioned this to our sever, a young man, when he showed up to clear our plates, but he offered no apology. He said something like, "I'll ask the chef to check it out." It had to be obvious to him that she disliked her meal because most of it remained on her plate when he cleared the table. I left at least half of what I ordered, but our serer failed to ask why. I don't know if this server is simply inexperienced, but we both found him to be somewhat unfriendly and inattentive. Neither one of us plans to return to this restaurant.

My husband and I were really excited to try out the new place in town. I bought a restaurant.com certificate for $6 for $15 worth of food however they did not know that until I paid so that did not influence my service. We walked in on Saturday night at 7:30 pm to a big open noisy room with LOTS of customers but NO staff. We stood there looking at each other thinking, 'do we just seat ourselves?' We grabbed a table for two (which they are very close to each other.. you butt up to your neighbor). A few minutes after we sat down (no staff has been out to the floor yet) a single man took another table. Finally a waitress stepped out from the back, saw him and took a menu/water to him. We were like, "hello?!?" Two ladies came in from the other door and sat next to us (we had still not been waited on or greeted) when another server (young man) came out from the back to greet them and gave them water/menu. At that point I asked him for a menu (we had been there around 15 min) and waters? He brought it over and I asked what the special was. He said 2 4 oz. steaks (new york and rib eye) loaded baked potato and broccoli for $17. We were ok with that so we ordered that medium cooked with a pepsi and an iced tea. After he left, I thought, "don't we get a salad or soup with an entrée??" Another waitress walked by and I asked her that question. She said yes, didn't he ask you? I will go and get him. He came back to say that he was checking to make sure they still had that entree available (why hadn't he checked before taking our order then?). I ordered the vegetable soup (bland..) and husband had the salad (looked nice and fresh) also they both came out immediately. Soon after, the entrees appeared. My steak was very thick and I could see blood floating on the plate. I knew that it was not medium like I had asked and sure enough it was bloody rare. The 'loaded' baked potato was not there but replaced with 2 steamed potatoes (one red, one yellow) with a dot of garlic butter. I asked him where the loaded baked potato was and he said they ran out and subbed those. 1) we should have been asked what other side dish we would like, not ASSume that we wanted some steamed potatoes that were STILL HARD in spots. He offered to bring us some more potatoes but we declined. They were probably not done either. I did not bother sending my steak back but suffered through it. It was tasty as long as I didn't look at it. I ordered a lemon drop too, it was ok.. not the best that's for sure. We split a piece of butterscotch pie. It was ok too. I think the young man server definitely needs to get some experience under his belt. He was not overly friendly, actually seemed 'bothered' to have to wait on us. He definitely did not exude the sense of urgency that makes a good server. I will try it again and will only give it one more try. I don't mind spending the $$ ($57-$15 for restaurant.com ) but I want it to be GREAT. Nothing p*sses off a former server more than bad service.

Good service, but SLOW to get food out my onion rings and my fiance's french fries were barely hot as if they sat somewhere for a bit. Food was nothing special, huge portions at least, a bit overpriced for Roseburg though. Don't think I would be rushing to come back here.

A co-worker and I were working in Roseburg and B -n B was recommended. We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy. We found a table and sat down. There seemed to be three servers and a bartender. The table was a bit grimy, smears of something, but had been bussed. After about 10 minutes, a server came and greeted us, provided menus and said he'd be right back. We requested water. Another 10 minutes and the server returned, no water, and asked what we wanted to drink. We requested water and asked what was on tap. He did no know and had to go check. Another 10 minutes, back with no water and the beers. We ordered beer, requested water and ordered our food. Another 20 minutes - we flag him down and ask for our beers. He brings one, the other is out. Another 5 minutes the other beer and water arrive. He apologizes and says the beers are on him. Food comes shortly after and then he ask if we have everything we need about every 2 minutes. The fish tacos were SUPER dry, not all that. Got a Black and Blue bowl - not bad, had chicken added. The veg in it were super mushy. Bill comes, we hand over our card to pay - in a hurry, did not check the price. Ended up being charged 17 bucks for the B n B Bowl - if that was no charge for the beer. Which means they charge $6 for a few chunks of chicken. There was live music playing - a very good guitarist. It seemed a like a great place for locals and there was some nice outside seating - although people went out and stood by those table to smoke, so that would not be enjoyable if you don't smoke. I was disappointed in service, food, price, cleanliness. Might have been an off night but - it's a nope.

I can't tell you anything about the burgers, but if you are wandering through town wondering where the vegan options are, there is stuff to eat here! The hummus pizza is awesome...crispy pita slathered with hummus and topped with green onions, jalapeños, and tomatoes. There is also a black bean with rice bowl that looks good, and the sausage/kale/rice bowl can be prepared without the sausage. I don't normally look at the salads (I want hot FOOD, darn it!), but they have those here too. Try it if you want an alternative to the portobello sandwich over at Brix!

  • Kellen M.

The service was exceptionally slow. There were no high chairs for a wiggly toddler and their menu did NOT have an extensive gluten free option available. The potions were small and it took over 40 min to get our food and we only ordered two salads!

Had lunch there and,it was great. We decided to go to dinner a few days later, we were very disappointed. We ordered the server brought our meals before our salads so he left the meals but no silverware. When he came back with the salads he gave us silverware so no big deal, but the frys and veggies were cold. Will give them one more try, but they need to work on exacution
