WOW, I never thought I'd see the day that I would give a 5 star to a fast food joint, but here it is :) A co-worker of mine was going to Titos for lunch and I asked her to grab me something. I got a taquitos meal and was genuinely surprised when I opened my little container, I am really upset I didn't take a photo. Not only did I get like 8 taquitos, yes i said EIGHT! I also got beans with cheese, mexican rice, pico de gallo AND my taquitos were topped with a generous portion of cojita and avocado slices... I mean can we say fancy? The icing on the cake is that this entire meal cost only $6.99! I will most definitely frequent Titos!

Its because I am from California. I can't seem to find decent Mexican in Portland. My biggest beef (non pun intended), is the dry beef or carne asada. I got three tacos. The chicken and el pastor were more flavorful although not tender, and definitively the asada was like the butt of the cow. My colleagues did like it much better than the other PDX Mexican food cart staples toward the veggie burritos. We were not impressed with the verde sauce, but the rojo was quite a kick. Also it was nice they gave guac at no extra charge.

Tito's Burrito's is a welcome addition to the core of the Portland State University area. They have the right music, the right Mexican ambiance, a happy staff and happy food. It is an experience which keeps the competition going in an altogether tough industry. It was $10 for a burrito, chips and a large drink. The meal came after about five minutes. I enjoyed the quality of the burrito, and it had a flavorful consistency. It isn't the toughest burrito since it broke two-thirds into eating it unlike the standard fourth-fifths into eating it. The chips were of good value and I was mostly pleased. Tito's Burritos is a welcome place to have a little fun break from studying. I wish it well.

People that say this place is cheap have obviously not been to the food carts 1-2 blocks away that are just as good quality wise, but a couple dollars less. However, Tito's has great hours, so I go there for a later dinner. Good food, but portions are a little small for the price.

Three friends and I stumbled upon (and into) this place on a road trip from Central Washington back to Northern California. My friend found it on Yelp. The restaurant is spacious and a cool green color inside. It is very casual. It's the kind of place where you order at the counter, and you can get it either to go or to eat in. We decided to order to go. I found mannyyy vegetarian options on the menu. They also had all day breakfast burritos! I love those kinds of restaurants. The woman at the counter was incredibly welcoming and sincere. She didn't even look twice at our raggedy, smelly, post-festival road trip outfits (we were so thankful). I ordered two veggie tacos ($1.50 each) with a side of rice and beans, and she offered me the taco plate which was $4.99 for the same thing, thereby saving me money. The veggie tacos were loaded with beans, rice, guacamole, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. The beans had cheese on them, and the rice was full of flavor. The helpings for both were so huge that I didn't even finish my whole meal. They have a wide selection of salsas to choose from, and you don't have to pay for any of them on the side. I can't remember them all but I opted for the avocado salsa and the chipotle. The avocado was creamy, tangy, and perfectly spicy, not too crazy but enough to put a little sweat on the bridge of my nose. The chipotle was very creamy, savory, and had a little kick. One friend got the Bacon Breakfast Burrito and really enjoyed it. He said the only thing that bothered him was that most of the cheese was concentrated in the middle of the burrito. He would get bites of pure cheese. He said he would order it again, however, and that it had ample bacon with "good bacon flavor". All in all, I would definitely stop by here again for some delicious mexican food and quick, friendly service.

I think I may singlehandedly be keeping this place in business. The tacos are to die for, and so reasonably priced! The breakfast burritos are great, the salsa is spicy and the tortilla chips are always fresh. The staff here is always so kind and quick with their service, even providing me with guac on the house when I came in on a holiday and complimentary coffee in the mornings. This place has become a regular spot for me during the workweek! definitely would recommend.

All I usually get from Mexican restaurants are bean, cheese, and rice burritos. That being said, Tito's was of the utmost quality. The burrito was hot, fresh, cheesy. The tortilla was warm and soft, with a slight grilled exterior that gave it a little more bite. Also, the salsa was delicious. The decor is kind of weird, but the food is awesome.

Very disappointing. They use very cheap ingredients and it's not even very flavorful. The lime that came on the side of the tacos was all dry and gross looking. Save your money there are way better options than this place.

Very good food. I had the shrimp fajita s and they were pretty good. The avocado salsa was amazing and so good. The food came up fast, the lady who helped me was very talkative and pleasant .

This place is not incredible but its good. Server worked hard to get food out fast. The shrimp is amazing. Tortillas were average, some of our food was warm not hot. Worth trying though

Pastor that tastes like old chorizo and pinto beans that taste like the ocean. This is like stale old Mexican food for mermaids. If you are a white Portlander who has never eaten real Mexican food (which would account for 90% of the population) you will probably think this place is off the hook.

Breakfast burrito is huge comes with fajitas for 4.99- leaves me full all day. Tacos with lime are amazing, great hot sauces. It's never busy so I get my to go order on my class break with no problem- I love it. I go there twice a week to get my fix.

A simple Mexican restaurant that makes a phenomenal chorizo burrito. Their sauces are also great especially the advocado

Huge cheap super dank burritos stuffed with delicious fresh tasting ingredients made to order. Sour cream is free if you get it on your burrito but costs a dollar if you get it on the side, but honestly no complaints there. Also you get free coffee if you get a breakfast burrito! Self service on water, and they also have dynamite horchata. Very friendly staff to boot! They'll come out and check on you if they're not too busy. I highly recommend giving this new place on campus a try!

Great breakfast burritos, and cheap! We were even offered free coffee with our burritos. Staff was especially friendly!

This place has become my go-to for burritos! Their carne asada burrito is my favorite -- the meat is tender and wonderfully seasoned, and the ingredients look and taste fresh. Also, the sizes are generous. $7 isn't the cheapest burrito in town, but for the size and quality, it's a great deal. Service is prompt, friendly, and consistent (they always offer bottles of delicious sauces to add to your burrito), and while the ambiance of the restaurant isn't amazing (highlighter-yellow walls are a bit hard on the eyeballs), this isn't The French Laundry -- you're there to get a cheap, delicious burrito, and they provide that perfectly.

I come here often. They have some of the better seafood tacos. Cheap ($2.50 a piece). The staff is very generous and speak Spanish... Very authentic dishes, fruit drinks and an extensive Mexican menu. I asked for shrimp and fish tacos, they came very hot and fresh with my choice of salsas. Lime, avocado and chilies all come with the meal... For free. In other restaurants, avocado is always extra. I felt that the staff was very accommodating and the food was rather delicious and authentic, right in the heart of the PSU area. Good job!

Shrimp AND steak super burrito with guacamole for no extra charge? A Cali girl's literal dream come true. And it's right smack dab in the middle of the Portland State campus. The food's affordable, fast, convenient and absolutely delicious. Tito's is my go to place for real Mexican food.

Very good breakfast burritos for $4.99 and comes with coffee. The $1.50 tacos are a very good deal; the Carnitas, Pescado and Asada were all up to par. Kudos for offering an additional hot sauce choice beyond the standard Green and Red. Nice counter gal. A Spanish language program was on TV, that's usually a good sign.

Been eating here since they opened this location and I have yet to have anything that isn't amazing! My favorite is the burrito (black beans, rice and cheese) with guacamole spicy sauce all for just 4 bucks! (Toss a single for tip when I can)

I expected more from a $7 burrito.Maybe I've been spoiled by all the good Mexican food stands in Portland but I expected at least the same level of quality for the price at this B&M as their carts. Just wasn't there. My burrito came out a little light and as I went through it the meat was hard to find. The red salsa really needs to be spicier too. It didn't even hit the degree of Taco Bell hot sauce. I left still hungry and disappointed.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
