It's all about the clam chowder. I am on a quest to eat at every mo's. So this was a find in the airport. You have to hit the c terminal. From d terminal you can take the long hall to the north of checkpoint d and be there quickly. The chowder is the best and make sure to add the garlic bread for a nice combo.

I am a foodie. That's why I'm a yelper. This place is great. Grew up on Mo's chowder. Love it still. The chowder and seafood is not going to rock your world but it's fresh, hearty and tasty. It's a good bowl of chowder. Breakfast is good too. Recommend the French Toast and biscuits gravy. Good portions.

I had half an hour before my flight to Las Vegas and everything else didn't look good so ... fish it is. Plus cod is a great source of protein, right? On a hunch I stayed away from the chowder and judging by the reviews am glad I did. Instead, I got the cod fish and chips (without the chips). It arrived fast, staff was nice, it was definitely food and I ate it. Would eat again, if that helps.

After a whirlwind trip in Portland (and surrounding areas) I thought I'd send myself off with some plane-side seafood. The meal: A clam chowder with bay shrimp sprinkled on top. The verdict: Sub par. I had to add Tabasco for a kick and crackers-- something I never do-- for a jump in consistency. The taste was very bland overall. It wasn't awful, it isn't something I look back on in disgust or wish I didn't order but it definitely wasn't good either. It is the epitome of "okay." Beyond that there's not much else to say. The service was adequate though the workers weren't very nice at all. The atmosphere was very blah. But, it was airport food, which should have summed it up before I even ordered.

Halibut fish and chips, 3 piece, hot and greasy, french fries, prompt service and delivery of food. Chowder...not so good. Stomach gurgling after 30 minutes. Good service, friendly employees... Still fast food, not my first choice, But my only choice.

Was at the airport and had some time to kill and definitely needed a bite before heading back east. There were signs plastered everywhere about the famous chowder.. Well maybe I'm just critical as I am a New Englander and love our chowder...I took one bite and actually threw it away.. There was so much paprika on it that the only flavor it had was paprika.... Which does not belong on the chowder just an FYI.. It's like they went to garnish it and the top fell off... I was a little disappointed as it looked really think and was hoping it would be better. I would have brought it back but the line was way to long to go through.. Some redeeming things were the fried clam strips which were cooked to perfection, and yes those can be messed up if cooked to much, which these were definitely not.. I may try this again and ask them to hold the mountain of paprika but not sure, I'll definitely be back for the clam strips....

Like many people have said that their chowder was lacking something, my wife said it needed a little bit of salt... then again she says that a lot. I personally think it was good with a little bit of pepper and Tabasco. Then again, I think many things taste better with pepper and Tabasco. Point being is that I thought it was good. My bowl had lots of everything in it. You can grab as much crackers that your heart desires as well. So add whatever your taste buds like and you should get a great chowder. My wife had the French Toast combo with bacon and said she liked it and said it was a 4 star experience. All in all the friendly service, the convenience of getting something warm and tasty into our stomachs I have to give this place 4 stars.

I love Clam Chowder, I thought I would grab a bread bowl and beer before my flight. What I was anticipating was some yummy Pacific Northwest Chowder and suds. Sadly this wasn't to be. The chowder had more potatoes than clams, didn't taste fresh and just plain not good. Needless to say when you're in an airport you're hostage to the eateries that dot the terminal but when in Portland again, and I will be soon, I will be sure to eat before I spend my hard earned $$ on the fare at Mo's Seafood and Chowder - at least for the chowder that is. I gave it two stars for the service. It was friendly and prompt. Too bad they can't support their staff with equal food offerings

When I unexpectedly had a half hour to kill while waiting for my ride at PDX I decided to kill some time by hanging out in the terminal after my flight. Since I had no checked bags there was no reason to rush out there. I hate clam chowder but saw fish and chips on the menu so I decided to try them. I just wanted a small portion so I just got the kid's meal. The food came out hot and fresh...two nice sized pieces of breaded fish and French fries. I thought it was really good, especially with a squeeze of lemon on top and dipped in the tartar sauce. This is probably some of the better airport fare that I've consumed!

Mo's clam chowder conveniently at the airport! A bowl of their chowder with a little spice and butter and a side of garlic cheese bread brings me right back to summers at the Oregon coast. A solid option for a hot meal while waiting for your flight!

Had a breakfast sandwich, took a chance on a place that is more known for seafood. Bagel with egg, cheese and bacon. It was all there but it was put together like they weren't sure if they items should all be under the actual bagel. Good price as well as taste. Minus two stars for effort.

  • Brandon L.

The halibut fish and chips was one of the best I've had. Light batter, quality firm but flaky fish, tasty fries. It was exactly what I was craving and reasonably priced as well. Chowder was a bit more 'potato' than 'clam' as some people below commented.

  • Isaac D.

Breakfast at the airport is a mixed bag. For airport breakfast it's better than most, but don't expect to be blown away. I had an ok biscuit and gravy (truck stop quality). I cannot vouch for the lunch menu, but usually Mo's restaurants are fairly good.

If you are in a hurry not the place to come. I got a breakfast bowl. It was ok. Nothing spectacular.

The staff was fine. I have had better clam chowder from a can. A pat of butter cannot hid a lack of flavor. As Gordon Ramsey would say.... "What a shame!"

Disgusting food.. the Chowder was clearly very old and microwaved to burn anything that touches it.

I went to this place excited to have a delicious bowl of New England Clam Chowder and was really disappointed when I got it. If you like your clam chowder to taste like chunky potato soup, then this is the place for you. There were hardly any clams...so few that it didn't taste much like clam chowder. This was definitely potato chowder :-( Why two stars? They get one more star because the staff was friendly and the beer was good...so needed up having only beer and garlic bread. I left my almost-full bowl for the trash can.

Just had the Classic Breakfast. Scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. Was delicious! Generous portions, quality food. Bacon was wonderful! My better-half had the breakfast sandwich. I swear the English muffin was homemade. Sooooooo good!

  • Avi M.

The worst chowder that i had ever tasted. The chicken strips were at least several days stale and rubbery. Stay away from this place.

  • Alex F.

I like it! Certainly deserves four stars. Fish and chips and beer in the airport... Life is good. I had halibut and chips --it's as good as it gets. Well I guess if I was going to be picky I would say the fries could've been better--they were of the fast food variety-- but hey, it's the airport and the fish was excellent.

I went looking for some decent chowder only to find a better choice in a can of soup. The stock was slim and cold and unfortunately uneatable. Unfortunately, I pitched more than I ate. I'll pass

So excited to see mo's at the airport but what a disappointment! Got the chowder (of course), topped with some salad shrimp, and tasted more like day old oatmeal with mini chopped potatoes than mo's famous clam chowder. There was not much flavor and I would definitely not recommend mo's at the airport. If you've never had mo's, skip it at the airport and take a journey out to Newport where the chowder is fresh, the clams and shrimp don't have any sand, and the view is breath taking!

  • Kenneth Albrecht A.

Had the chowder an it didn't have a seafood taste, more of a potato soup. Needs more clams.

  • Nicole G.

This place was perfect! I had a delicious cup of chowder and the side salad was fresh and made with quality ingredients. I gave it a five star because the service was kind and very helpful when I didn't see a premade salad for me, they offered to make me a custom one.

Sourdough used for clam chowder bowl was stale, not fresh. May be better on other days. Clam chowder was okay. My first time so I might try it again in the future if reviews don't repeat my experience.

I was super excited to try Mo's because it is a new establishment in the PDX airport. I ordered the clam chowder and the grilled fish tacos. The clam chowder was more watery than creamy and it didn't have many chunks of clam. It was more like a potato chowder than anything. The fish tacos were very bland and if I hadn't had salsa and tarter sauce to dump on them, they would have been virtually flavorless.

I had higher expectations for Portland's airport food (since it is such a foodie town) nonetheless, Mo's was extremely disappointing. My boyfriend's fried clam strips with fries were completely soggy. Most of the clam strips I ate tended to be much more batter vs. actual clam (95% batter vs. clam to be exact). Just like the clam strips, the clam chowder seemed to be lacking in actual clam or even essence of clam. It was extremely thick and globby -- probably not the best pre-flight food.

I had 15 minutes to spare before boarding on my 7AM JetBlue flight... and I was super hungry. Mo's Seafood was nearby, so I decided to get a bagel and lox. Kinda expensive (around $10), but expected as it's airport food and it has smoked salmon. The wait to also get my order was long (which was a little scary as I needed to board soon) but it looks like they JUST opened, so they were playing catch up. Overall, the bagel was good, I enjoyed it once I got in the plane. Good for fast airport food.
