Cute cafe. I love their soup. The table you can eat your food is surrounded by book shelves. It is quiet, and very cozy.

Lovely place to shop, sit, lunch, read a book or play cards at the table in the library type area. Lovely! Good scones, soup, great chicken salad!

We dropped into Monti's today at about 11:15 am, MAINLY because I saw a big sign out front that said "BREAKFAST". so I asked if I could still get a Breakfast sandwich, and the older(BITTER) woman behind the counter said(WITH ATTITUDE), " Well, since there is nobody here, I guess I could make you one. But we normally stop at 1030".... Fine, so I ordered a Breakfast sandwich. I then asked what comes on the sandwich? She says, " We only have one sandwich". So, I said, "FINE.. but what is ON IT? she says......"Ham egg and cheese"... I said. OK, I will have it". Well, needless to say, I was unhappy with the sandwich. It had tomato slices on it, and the bread was white, when I asked for wheat. The woman was rude and acted like she was really annoyed with me. First off. DON'T say you'll make a customer a sandwich if it's really a problem. You ruined my FIRST trip to Monti's and doubt I will EVER go back. The manager/owner should talk to you about how to deal with customers because you clearly do NOT know now... and if you are the manager/owner, then your cafe is doomed. The coffee was acidic and COLD. Probably because it was made at 8:00 am and left to sit for three hours. it was over $7.00 for a foul sandwich and cold coffee. I would rather go to Safeway and order the 1.99 breakfast sandwich and $1.00 OJ. or coffee. It's ten times better, with friendly people, and a third the price. Time to re-evaluate your place. CAFE???? NOT.

I'm so glad to have this shop in my neighborhood. From one of a kind Xmas stockings to a new to me vintage coffee table this place screams what vintage shops should be! Nice, helpful, and knowledgable employees makes this a must stop for out of towners looking for something local and unique. Please check it out - they have some really cool items that will strike up great conversations!

Associated with the antique store next door, giving it a nice ambience, as cliched as that sounds. The latte wasn't perfect (too milky and too hot, hence 4 stars), but the raspberry white chocolate scone was fantastic. Good seating choices from tables that sit 6 to 4 to 2 and some nice wing back chairs.

This cute little cafe is located inside the Monticello Antique Marketplace off SE Stark and 60th. Wow!! Great tasting coffee!! I had a hazelnut soy latte and my fiance had a chai tea latte and both were delicious. There are shelves of cool books nestled between tables, free wi-fi and plugs for laptops. This is a great way to start a day off ....breakfast and a bite to eat and walking around this huge antique mall made up of over 100 dealers selling their precious finds.

Pretty quiet little place with a good menu. It is attached to an antique store which looks to be filled with merchandise. It is a good place to get some work done using their free WiFi while enjoying a coffee or tea.

I have been coming to Monti's Café for a few months now. I stopped in today for some lunch and my usual white chocolate mocha. The white chocolate mocha was delicious as always. I tried the Special: Turkey and bacon on a croissant with a side of fruit, and my friend got the veggie quiche with a side salad. The wait time was longer than usual given that the place was full, but my friend and I didn't mind. The service and the quality of the food were no different than my previous experiences, which is why I keep coming back! PS: The raspberry cream cheese brownie is to die for!

WOW! A coffeehouse/cafe inside an antique mall. Does life get any better than that? Located inside of Montocello Antique Marketplace this cafe can be accessed via the gate inside the mall or there is a separate street level entrance across from the counter. This place is a great rest stop for the serious antique shopper. Those of us that like to take their time and look at things we need a place to rest and grab a cup. They have numerous bookshelves in the cafe and a ton of seating options. They have various cappuccino and tea options as well as sweets and some sandwiches. Super friendly service with a smile. I could hang out here everyday. Coffee and antiques under one roof ....what is not to love?

Easily the slowest service I've ever experienced. Five people behind the counter, a customer line of only four. It took 12 minutes just to get through the line, and another 27 minutes to finally pick up my half sandwich to-go, which I only purchased to see how long it would actually take. The sandwich itself completely fell apart by the time I got it home ( which is a whole block away from this shop ) . Utterly disappointed. If you are looking for a place to waste time that you will never get back in your life, this is the place to visit.

I've stopped by a few times now and am pretty satisfied with the place. I think it's just genius to combine a coffee shop & an antique shop for customers to enjoy a nice cup of coffee while exploring. I ordered a hazelnut/vanilla latte my first time and was pretty content with it. I wish there would have been a bit more hazelnut but other than that all was good. I'd pass on their hot chocolate though... It's a bit flavorless. The staff was super friendly though. I'll definitely be back!

I haven't tired anything other then the chips and bean dip but it's definitely a solid choice. Great place to get work done. Quiet without being too quiet and they bring you your food straight to your table so thats a big plus. I'll come back here again!

Sweet service, free wifi, and in the mornings it's slow enough that you feel comfortable settling in for a while. My favorite parts? The old books and yummy quiche (with a side of fresh fruit that's completely devoid of under-ripe melon chunks- such a pleasant surprise!).

I am so so upset with this cafe :( I came here about 5 times before deciding that I am never coming back. Their coffee is ok, the sandwich I ordered on my last visit was DISGUSTING. I could not eat it. The 3 times out of 5 I came there was to work on my laptop and all the 3 times I could not connect to WIFI. The staff is not usually friendly :( I was hoping to love this place because the location is very convenient for me. So much for supporting local businesses when they can't even do their job. I have been going to Starbucks ever since and know that I will always get 5 star service and food.

Tried this place for the first time today. I was impressed with the breakfast, eggs and toast, and the service. I have been looking for a coffee shop in that area that has wi-fi and power connections. I love the location, the large and inviting tables, and the power connections. However, how can you have a coffee shop type place with a non working internet connection? Being able to connect with your router and not the internet does no one any good. While I appreciate the help of the person who tried to reboot their router, I learned that this is a very common problem. Fix that, and I will be back, almost every week, and sometimes multiple times in a day or week. And I'll buy something and bring my associates. I cannot do that without an internet connection.

Stopped in here the other day after reading all the positive reviews. It's definitely a cute little place. Pretty friendly staff. I got the special which was a ham and cheese croissant w/cup of soup. The croissant tasted good, although it was flat as a pancake, the soup was bland...i mean really bland, even after dumping salt and pepper it was still tasteless. At $8.95 i was disappointed. My friend got half a cheese sandwich(which looked sad because they don't grill half sandwiches [there is also and extra charge if you want your sandwich grilled on a panini maker...how hard is it really]) and the other soup of the day. It was just as bland as the one i received. They boast homemade soups, but i've had better from a can. Plus for $3 to add a cup of soup to a 7 dollar sandwich, i expect better.

My first experience was horrible and there was a girl with bad tattoos messing up lattes... After I ran away the first time WITHOUT even looking at the market place (mistake, you'll see why), I wasn't impressed. THANKFULLY, being the kind individual that I rarely am, I gave this place another chance. There have been nothing but cute gals and guys, working there since that first scare. The Market place is amazing and the coffee is good. If the scones were gluten-free: they were amazing. If the scones were not: they were dry. Check it out when you have time to browse
